behind all these

globe are videos...

are those things?

Photos and sounds
that defy explanation.

We don't know
where they come from,

who made them, or
how they operate.

Some sort of
bizarre mutation.

is nobody really knows.

spirit of investigation

to the world's strangest
sounds and images.

We'll analyze each
one with top experts.

It's a credible case,
it's a credible video.

And pass a
verdict on what it is.

This video was clearly faked.

The proof starts now.

Good evening and welcome to
"The Proof is Out There."

We've had alleged alien corpses

and even alien fetuses
on the show before,

but tonight, for the first time,

we're going to investigate
an alleged alien egg

at the bottom of the sea.

Check this out.

It's August 30th, 2023,

and researchers at
the National Oceanic

and Atmospheric
Administration, or NOAA,

are live streaming a
mission to find new life

in these unexplored
waters off Alaska.

The ship, the Okeanos Explorer,

has sent a tricked out ROV,
or Remotely Operated Vehicle,

two miles down
below the surface.

And before long,
the device's camera

comes across this
confounding sight.

It's a strange golden orb

resting on the
Alaskan sea floor.

Its smooth, rounded
texture looks almost egg-like.

The scientists are dumbfounded,

having never seen anything
remotely like this before.

As we were coming
across it, I was like,

"Huh, that looks
pretty interesting."

And I was like, "Ooh, I don't
really know what that is."

Scientists
from around the world

watching the live stream
are just as perplexed.

Some
scientists suggested

that this could
possibly be coral,

but many believe that's
highly improbable

due to its smooth surface

and lack of coral-like holes.

Other researchers have
shot down the idea

that this could
simply be a sponge,

due to its apparent fragility.

The closer we got, rather
than getting more answers,

I think we got more questions.

So we ended up deciding
to take a sample

and bringing it back on board.

The mysterious specimen

is brought to the Smithsonian
Museum of Natural History,

where its identity remains
a mystery to this day.

Many are convinced that
it is some type of USO,

or unidentified
submersible object.

Is this something
extraterrestrial in nature?

Underwater
ETs seem farfetched?

Well, there are
those who believe

that all life on Earth
may have originated

from an extraterrestrial source.

Gerhardt points to a
recently popularized theory

in the scientific community,
called Panspermia.

Panspermia, which
is the concept

that the seeds of life

are planted throughout
the universe.

Imagine a micro
organic substance

traveling through the
cosmos on an asteroid.

If such life forms can survive

the pressures of outer space,

then these essentially become

the seeds of life
on other planets.

Many
believers in Panspermia

suggest that at some
point in history,

these space seeds crashed
into Earth's surface,

leading to the development
of life; even us.

Other theories
picture the phenomenon

as something more sinister,

that these space
seeds are dangerous

and could contaminate
our planet,

spelling doom for
all indigenous life.

However, Gerhardt
presents one more theory,

that this still could be a
creature of earthly origin

that haunted these
waters millennia ago.

On May 18th, 2011,

paleontologists working in

the Tongass National
Forest of southeast Alaska

discovered the
fossilized remains

of a new species
of Thalattosaur,

very strange aquatic reptiles

that lived during
the lower Triassic

about 200 million years ago.

Could this golden object be

the egg of some unknown
species of surviving dinosaur?

Can organisms really
survive in space?

Well, tobacco seed samples

were mounted outside a
spacecraft for more than a year.

After they were returned to
Earth on the space shuttle,

a quarter of them
survived well enough

to be grown as plants.

Could this golden
orb have spawned

from a seed that was
equally space worthy?

Let's check in with the experts.

Biologist Floyd Hayes
is extremely skeptical

that this could be the egg

of a recently
discovered dinosaur.

It's been suggested

that this could be the
egg of a thalattosaur,

a group of marine reptiles
that became extinct

during the mid-to-late Jurassic.

Even though they have found

fossilized thalattosaurs
up in Alaska,

they couldn't possibly
survive there today

because reptiles are
exothermic or cold-blooded,

which means they're not
gonna be able to maintain

any body heat in the
cold water off of Alaska.

Marine
biologists Shea Steingass

explores the idea that
this could possibly be

something from off world.

The idea of
panspermia is actually

very biologically and
evolutionarily unlikely.

We typically think of organisms

as fungi or animals or bacteria,

but before that there was
actually something called

the last universal
common ancestor,

and this was a
creature of some sort

that was the common ancestor
for all life on Earth

as we know it today.

The last
universal common ancestor

was a single celled
bacteria-like organism

that many scientists believe

was the ancestor of all
living things on Earth.

This was essentially
a cellular structure.

We know that life on
Earth evolved this way.

It's actually very unlikely

that the last universal
common ancestor

traveled from a
different planet.

In fact,
new research suggests

that this original organism

may have generated on
cracks in the ocean floor.

So could this deep water orb

represent the discovery
of a new earthly species?

I would guess this
may be the egg casing

of some kind of ocean animal,

because it's a
very thin membrane

that is attached
to a rocky surface

and that gives an
embryonic animal

time to develop in a safe
and static environment.

But until there's
molecular testing

or genetic analysis
of whatever this is,

we don't know for sure,

and that's part of the
excitement of the ocean.

There's always
something new to find.

Our verdict? We are
leaning toward this being

the egg of an
undiscovered species.

Our experts seem to agree
that this is an egg shell

or casing of some kind,

but exactly what it is

and where it came
from remains unknown.

This is exciting stuff, people!

We may have witnessed

a discovery of something
profound in real time.

Now, we're going to move
from the bottom of the ocean

to the top of the
world's highest peaks.

From the Himalayas come stories

of a hair covered creature
known as the Yeti,

or Abominable Snowman.

Some believe it's an ancient
relative of humankind

that survived to the modern era

and that this video is
the best evidence yet

that it really exists.

1992, the Himalayan Mountains.

Rumor spreads about
a Belgian couple

who were supposedly enjoying

these majestic peaks on skis,

when they pull out a camera

and capture this
stunning footage.

We see what appears to be

a giant, hairy, bipedal monster

traversing the mountainside.

Field researcher
Cliff Barackman says

this footage was
quickly touted as proof

of the mountain-dwelling Yeti.

This footage was
initially aired on a show

on the United Paramount Network.

A lot of people
came out and said,

"Oh, this looks very real."

This older footage,

which has recently found
new life on the internet,

remains mysterious in part
due to its nebulous sourcing.

No one was quite sure

where the Belgian skiing
couple story came from,

or if these were even
the Himalayan Mountains,

an area that has been the
epicenter of Yeti lore

since early civilization.

The Yeti or abominable snowman

came on the radar
of Western culture

when people started
trying to conquer Everest.

Large expeditions,
they would run across

very unusual
footprints in the snow.

The Sherpas that were the
guides for the Europeans

were saying, "Oh yeah,
we know what those are.

The local people call these
things The Meto Kangmi."

Meto Kangmi
roughly translates

to "man-bear-snowman."

Now, we've been showing you

recreations and artistic
renderings of those sightings,

but now look at this.

The Indian army recently
tweeted out real photos

claiming to show
mysterious footprints

made by the Yeti found near
a base camp in the Himalayas.

These prints supposedly measured

a whopping 32 by fifteen inches,

giving Bigfoot
run for his money.

According to Barackman,

there are indeed
some similarities

between the Yeti and his
American counterpart, Bigfoot,

famously captured
on what's known as

"The Patterson-Gimlin film."

It's so funny
that the Yeti today

is almost universally
depicted as white,

because that's not the case.

I've been to Nepal, I've
spoken to witnesses.

They're almost always
brown or black,

just like the North
American Sasquatch.

Can this piece of
footage withstand

the same level of scrutiny

that has been subjected to
the Patterson-Gimlin film?

According to legend,

during his Himalayan
invasion of 326 BC,

Alexander the Great
and his soldiers

ended up battling a
tribe of potential Yetis

described as "Large,
hairy-bodied men

with nails like beast's claws."

Sounds like a good movie,

but let's see what
our experts think.

Biologist Floyd Hayes takes
a look at the possibility

that this could be a bear
local to mountainous areas.

The Himalayan
brown bear occurs

throughout northern North
America and Eurasia,

but normally they would be
hibernating during the winter.

So bears need a lot of food
to maintain their body weight

and during the winter,

there just isn't
much food available

and so they normally just
curl up in a sheltered space

and they reduce their
metabolism while hibernating

so it seems out of
place that a large ape

would be in such a cold
environment devoid of food.

What is this animal
eating every day

to maintain its body metabolism?

Anthropologist
and Bigfoot expert

Dr. Jeff Meldrum has not only
seen this footage before,

he's discussed it on TV before.

Well, some of the
intriguing aspects

that suggested this might be
an authentic piece of video

included things like the
apparent massiveness.

At one point, the
creature is crouched down

beside a snowshoe trail.

So using that as
a rough estimate,

we were coming up with a figure

that was quite in excess
of human dimensions.

However, Meldrum
has had plenty of time

to think about this footage,

and over time he concluded

that the circumstances
surrounding its provenance

are highly suspicious.

It quickly became evident

that the identities
of the trekkers,

the opportunity to
examine the raw footage,

these were important, critical
pieces of information

that the producers
of this documentary

were unwilling to share,

which was a big red flag.

Turns out, Meldrum's
instincts were correct.

As he and the other
researchers dug further,

the surprising origin of
the footage was uncovered.

Later investigation revealed

that this was a contrived
piece of footage

that was simply a teaser
for the premier episode

of a fledgling
documentary series.

Unfortunately, some videos
just are too good to be true.

Our verdict? We
agree with our experts.

This is a hoax.

It appears that this was
just a man in a suit.

However, those footprints
discovered by the Indian army

remain a mystery.

So there's still a chance
the Yeti could be lurking

in the Himalayan
mountaintops as we speak.

Some UFO sightings make
the rounds on the internet,

some hit the local news,

and others make headlines
around the world;

especially if the
witnesses don't just report

seeing something in the sky,

but something on the ground too.

This next one falls
in that third category

and you are about to see why.

It's April 30th, 2023 at
11:49 PM in Las Vegas.

A police officer whose
name has not been disclosed

is speaking with several
individuals on a sidewalk

when his body camera captures
something unexpected.

I don't know.

Let's see that again,

zoomed in and slowed down.

You see this green
flash in the sky.

The people have
been blurred out,

but the point of interest
is this green object.

The video in itself isn't
anything too remarkable,

but what happens next
is really interesting.

At around 12:30 AM,
a frantic call comes in

to the Las Vegas Metro
Police 911 Dispatch.

A Las Vegas resident
made a 911 call

saying that there was
some 100% not human being

staring at him
from his backyard.

Dispatch takes
the call seriously enough

that two officers respond,

body cams rolling
as they roll up.

What'd you see?

A big creature?

The officers are
aware of what happened

in the sky an hour earlier.

I'm not
gonna BS you guys.

One of my partners said they saw

something fall out
of the sky too,

so that's why I'm
kind of curious.

Did you see anything
land in your backyard?

The incident garnered
national media attention,

especially because it coincided

with the biggest
UFO news of 2023.

These two incidents tie into

a recent report from
an Air Force official

saying that the US
government has been

going on retrieval missions

to collect crashed UFOs,

to recover their
bodies and study them.

It's also worth noting

that they're only about 80 miles

from the famed Area 51,

where most people believe

these alien autopsies
are taking place.

Area 51 isn't the only
secret base in Nevada.

Area 52 is said to be a
vast underground complex

that can house up
to 25,000 people.

Area 6, a mysterious
mile long landing strip,

is believed to be related to
a top secret fleet of drones.

So, could this nearby
close encounter

have anything to do with

yet another secret
government program?

First, we take the
police body cam footage

to our ace video forensic
analyst, Michael Primeau.

So the Axon system
is the most common

type of surveillance
camera that officers wear

to capture their perspective.

We noted no evidence
of manipulation.

These recordings
were unlikely CGI.

So what was it?

First, science writer Mick West

considers if we could be seeing

a satellite falling
back to Earth.

Reentering
satellites generally

seem to move a lot slower,

because they burn up
in the upper atmosphere

'cause that's what
they're designed do.

But this is something
that's made it

through the Earth's
atmosphere to a lower level,

and so its apparent speed

is actually quite a bit
faster than orbital debris.

So could
this footage be

a genuine UFO crash landing?

UFOs generally maneuver
in different ways.

They would hover in the sky,

they would make strange motions,

they would have flashing lights.

They generally don't
leave trails like this

and they don't generally
appear to be green.

Based on the color,
speed, and timing of this event,

West plays a hunch and thinks
he's got the winning hand.

What we do know
is that this is

very consistent with a meteor.

It's green, which it comes from

the composition of the
nickel in the meteor.

It's leaving a slight trail

and it's moving at
about the same speed

that we've seen other
meteors fly across the sky.

West is also
ready to double down

by saying not only
is this not a UFO,

it didn't even land in
a backyard in Vegas.

This event here
was actually observed

by many, many people.

It was also seen by
people as far away

as in California,
Arizona, and even in Utah,

and in northern California.

The most likely location
of where this thing landed

is actually up here
in central Nevada,

approximately 200 miles
away from Las Vegas.

So if this isn't a UFO
and it didn't land in Vegas,

what about the family's claims

of a close encounter
with 10 foot aliens?

We have the
eyewitness accounts,

but I think the
most likely thing

is that they simply saw
something in the backyard,

perhaps a raccoon standing
on the fence or something

and they startled them.

And then they ran back
inside, called the cops,

said there was some giant
being in the backyard,

and then we roll
in the other story

of the fireball being seen

and it becomes a thing.

Our verdict?

We believe that the green
light in the video is a meteor,

which was later confirmed

by NASA's planetary
defense office.

As for the family's alleged
backyard encounter with aliens,

the Las Vegas police ultimately
closed their investigation

into those claims as unfounded.

Despite the abundance
of UFO sightings,

only a select few merit

official investigation
by the government.

Even after those inquiries,

sometimes questions remain

like this classic Kiwi case,

which happened more
than 45 years ago.

December 1978,
Kaikoura, New Zealand.

A kind of plane called an
Argosy is carrying a TV crew

in search of some
weird flying objects

encountered 10 days earlier
by another cargo plane

flying the same route from
Wellington to Christchurch.

Journalist Quentin Fogerty
is covering the mission.

On board, he reports that
something strange is going on.

We've just
heard from Wellington radar

that we've got an object
about a mile behind us

and it's following us.

It's really getting a
bit frightening up here.

There's a whole formation

of unidentified flying
objects behind us.

This unusual
aerial activity

is being filmed from the cockpit

by videographer David Crockett,

who was in his mid-forties at
the time and is now retired.

I put on a 200 millimeter lens

and I was leaning
over the copilot

with a very heavy 16
millimeter camera.

You know, you're supposed
to be on a tripod

for that kind of lens.

Crockett captures
some shaky footage

of a mysterious flying
light in the near distance.

And then on the return trip,

more mid-air madness.

We're climbing
out of Christchurch

and there it was,
right in front of us.

And as soon as the Argosy
turned towards the object,

the bleeps came up on
the aircraft radar.

We climbed up to 14,000 feet

and it started
moving to the right.

This
is by far the best

of the other unidentified flying
objects we've seen so far.

So it appears to be, well,

like a a flying saucer.

In a single
frame of film,

Crockett captures
what looks like

an ampersand shaped
trail from the object.

The footage is taken
seriously enough

that once the plane lands,

the New Zealand Defense
Force starts investigating.

Journalist MJ Banias says
they proposed some theories

for what these Kaikoura
lights could be.

The government speculated
that this could be

reflections of squid
boats on the water.

Fishing
boats turned out to be

the explanation in a story
we previously brought you,

about strange lights filmed from

the International Space Station.

They also suggested

that this could have
been essentially Venus,

the planet rising
in the night sky.

Others think
that these strange lights

may have had a
more covert origin.

There was a lot of
speculation that perhaps

this was some sort
of test vehicle

for outer space missions

that the New Zealand
military was using,

and that's why all the secrecy

surrounding these
lights was maintained.

Now six years earlier,

there was another mysterious
incident in the area.

In 1972, a Kaikoura
coast resident

reported seeing three similar

hovering rays of bright lights

going from right to
left across the sky.

Could they be the same ones
seen in Crockett's video?

Let's let our experts shine a
light on this Kiwi conundrum.

First, astronomer Marc D'Antonio

explores why this object
looks the way it does.

You couldn't really
get a very steady shot,

because the plane's
always bouncing around.

That will probably cause

some of these objects
to be blurred.

Sometimes that orange-y
trace looks like a spot,

sometimes it looks like
an elongated object.

Since the
quality of the film

makes it hard to
get a good look,

Rich Hoffman of the Scientific
Coalition for UAP studies

considers the theory
that this could just be

scrambling squid boats.

Think about a squid
boat being at the water

and the plane
probably up, you know,

several thousand feet,

and the object was moving
at 207 miles an hour.

I don't know of any squid boats

that move at 207 miles an hour.

So if this
isn't a boat in the sea

and Wellington radar
control tower operators

confirmed that there
were no other clearances

for air traffic at all
in the skies that night,

could we be looking at

a secret Cold War
era military aircraft

flying through the night sky?

If you have a radar
signal being transmitted up

and it bounces off
of something solid,

that's a pretty good indication

that there is
something solid there.

And you're talking about a
relatively slow type of craft

when you're talking
about 207 miles an hour.

By comparison,
most commercial planes

have a cruising speed of
around 500 miles per hour,

so that seemingly rules
out military aircraft.

But what about the theory

that this could be
a planet like Venus?

Well, D'Antonio has
done some research

and has made a discovery.

What I've done is I've
set up a planetarium program

to look at the New
Zealand terrain

exactly at that time of night

when they were flying around.

Now, Venus is either
an early morning riser

or it's a early
setter at sunset.

It's never gonna be visible

in the middle of
the night like this.

But lo and behold,

here's Jupiter right there

just rising at this exact
time they were flying.

Looks to me like it could
be Jupiter that they saw.

Our verdict? This
remains a genuine UFO.

D'Antonio's theory that
it's Jupiter is intriguing,

but think about it.

We know something
was spotted on radar

and New Zealand officials say

this object remains unexplained.

If there were such a
simple explanation,

they probably would've
said so, right?

Super strength is something

you usually see only
in superhero movies,

but does it exist
among regular people

who don't wear capes?

This next video raises that
question and some suspicions.

It's August 2023 in
Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

A woman is walking
along a dirt path

when she witnesses something

she just has to catch on camera.

On one side of the
tree lined path

stands a man bent
under the weight

of what looks like
a gigantic boulder.

The woman filming cautions him.

He remains still,
perhaps considering her warning.

Then in a spectacular
display of strength,

he secures the
boulder with his arms

and walks toward the camera.

Journalist
Erin McCarthy is wowed

by just how big an undertaking
this appears to be.

This rock has to weigh
hundreds and hundreds of pounds

and this guy doesn't
seem to be, like,

some kind of super athlete

and yet he's carrying it
without all that much effort.

The video cuts off
before he unloads the boulder,

but given the proper
circumstances,

some say it would be
possible for him to lift it.

There's a phenomenon
known as hysterical strength

where in an emergency situation,

people are capable of lifting

incredible amounts of weight.

And though
the phenomenon

is hard for scientists to study,

there are plenty of
stories of it happening.

In 2019, a 16-year-old
football player from Ohio

heard his neighbor
calling for help.

Her husband had been
trapped under a car

that had fallen off of its jack.

The football player was able

to lift the 3,000 pound vehicle

using just his forearms.

There's another
example from 2013

in which a man was trapped

under his 3,000 pound tractor

and his two teenage daughters
were able to lift it off of him.

But there
is one key difference

between those examples
and this video.

This doesn't appear to be
a life or death situation,

which has led many to ask,

does this man have
superhuman strength?

We've reported on incidents

of superhuman strength before,

but usually they involve men

who look like this rather
than men of average build.

So could we really have
people with super strength

living among us?

We ask our experts to
do the heavy lifting.

We begin by asking
emergency medical physician,

Dr. Ed Hope, if this could be

an example of
hysterical strength.

In stressful situations,

you do have access to
more strength and speed

and that is because adrenaline

gets released into
your blood supply.

This sends more
blood to the muscles,

increases your heart rate
and your respiratory rate,

and puts more glucose
into the blood

to get those muscles
ready for action;

but there is still
an absolute limit.

A rock of this size
could weigh 2,000 pounds,

so to carry this way for
such a sustained period

would definitely
exceed that limit.

Yet, why can't humans
shoulder this kind of weight

when other animals can?

For instance, ants can lift

up to 20 times their
own body weight.

That would be like a human
lifting 4,000 pounds,

which we know is impossible.

A lot of this comes
down to scale,

as relative strength
decreases as size increases.

Smaller creatures
are able to lift

proportionally more
than larger ones.

In fact, this very
video is an example

of what should be a
body crushing lift.

If this was an actual
rock that he was underneath,

he was be completely crushed

so his spine would not be able

to take that kind of weight

and collapsing down, it
would break all his bones

and rupture his organs too.

It would probably be
certain death for this chap.

So could this
rock simply be lighter

and less dense than it appears?

There are rocks in
nature that are very light.

For example, there are
rocks called pumice.

These rocks are formed
from volcanic gases

and magma when it
interacts with water,

and they have a lot
of air bubbles inside.

But Anderson
isn't so sure

that's what we're
dealing with here.

If you look at
the rock in detail,

there's a couple
things that tell you

that this is not a
low-density rock.

For example, there are
not a lot of bubbles

or holes in it from
where you have the gases.

The other thing is,
is the color of it

has light grays, light browns.

Those don't match the colors

that you would find
in low density rocks.

Instead,
Anderson thinks this is

a lighter than it looks
rock of a different sort.

The other idea would be

that this is a
manmade type of rock.

For example, landscaping that
you see in amusement parks,

those rocks are all manmade.

They have sort of
the same composition

and properties of those rocks,

but they don't have the density

of the crystals
growing together.

Our verdict?

We're going with the
artificial rock theory.

Our geologist knows a fake
rock when he sees one.

As appealing as the idea of
superhuman strength may be,

we're probably better off
abiding by our limits.

Recently, one of
our dedicated viewers

saw something
strange and glowing

in one of his home
security cameras.

So, he did what you
are supposed to do.

So, he did what you
are supposed to do.

He sent the footage
to this email address

to see if we could shed
some light on the situation.

After waking up in the morning,

66-year-old John Parsons
checks his security camera

to see if anything
notable happened overnight

and he's shocked
by what he sees.

There was something floating.

I seen on your show
before, pictures of orbs.

And that's the first thing
that crossed my mind,

and then I started
seeing a few more.

And they seemed to
come outta nowhere

and disappear just as fast.

Some of 'em even seemed to have

like a ghostly trail behind.

It was kind of weirding me out,

so I didn't know what it was.

Then John
remembers something

his late wife Sheila told him,

before she passed away.

I lost my
wife back in 2020,

she died of cancer.

She told me she would
be watching over me.

It could be her
watching over me.

Orbs like
these are balls of light

that are said to be
manifestations of energy

connected to spirits.

Journalist Alexis Brooks says

they've been captured in
other photos and footage

and are sometimes called
angel or spirit orbs.

Spirit orbs are
loosely considered

the souls of
deceased loved ones.

Some argue that the
spirits of the deceased

can only show up as orbs

because they don't
have the energy

to manifest
themselves physically.

In 2013, Janice
Whitmer of Nashville, Tennessee

allegedly captured several
potential spirit orbs

on her cell phone.

She was actually in her
mother's hospital room

as she was passing away,

and Janice saw images

of what she refers
to as angel orbs.

I know
it has to be angels.

She clearly said that
she felt that those orbs,

as angels of light,

had shown up to help
her mother cross over.

And about
500 miles west

of where Janice saw
this phenomenon,

another strange ball of light

has regularly been making
appearances in the night sky.

The orange basketball size
orb first appeared in 1881

on a rural road in the

This orb, named interestingly

after a former
town named Hornet,

is called the
Hornet Spook Light.

We do know it does exist

and it's still being
seen by many people.

Local legend asserts
the Hornet Spook Light

is the ghost of a
murdered Osage chief.

To this day it
remains a mystery,

but will we be able
to solve the case

of the moving orbs in
John Parsons front yard?

Let's have our
experts round this up.

First, an authenticity check.

I began with analyzing
the structural data

using MedX forensics.

This is a pretty common type
of surveillance technology

and there are no concerns
with the source of the file.

We can trace that
structural data

back to that application.

Okay, so is it
just something mundane

like an insect flying
right in front of the lens?

This object that's airborne
in front of the camera,

may actually be
very, very small,

but when it's directly
in front of the camera,

it appears very large
and out of focus.

Still, physicist
Dr. Matthew Szydagis

isn't sure insects
are the right fit.

I don't think that
these circles are insects

because they're
moving far too slowly

and I don't see any evidence
of anatomical features

an insect should
have like wings,

for these whitish grayish
spots we're looking at.

Specs of dust are also

commonly found on camera lenses,

so is that what
we're seeing instead?

We're looking at objects
that have more of a flat shape,

whereas a piece of dust

actually makes something
look more spherical.

The shape is a clue
as well as the trails,

which I wouldn't expect
from dust particles.

Szydagis says the
direction the orbs are moving

is leading him to
something else.

Perhaps they're
drops of moisture.

The path of each appears
to be very subtly curved,

and I believe that
that curvature

is the curvature of the lens.

Some of them go the opposite
direction or side to side,

but tiny droplets of water
could be light enough

to be blown by wind
or affected by heat.

It's possible,
but Primo isn't so sure.

Something that would
be dripping onto the lens

would demonstrate a gravity,

it may actually take over
the entirety of the lens.

We are not
seeing drops of water

that are covering up and
blurring out the whole lens,

so what are these white orbs

showing up on John's
security camera?

Could they actually be
the spirit of his wife?

It's tough to say what it
is and where it came from,

without at least an
inspection of the device.

The identification
is inconclusive.

Our verdict? We
can't seem to find

a convincing explanation
for this footage,

so we have to call it

an unidentified light
phenomenon for now.

There's also no
surefire scientific way

to prove it's a ghost,

so in the absence of evidence,

that's for you to decide.

One of the most unusual
UFO sightings from China

happened in 1998 when
according to reports,

two military jets intercepted
a low flying object

that officials described as

a short legged mushroom
emitting two beams of light.

More than two decades later,

another beam of light
is making headlines.

This time, it's in
one of the country's

largest industrial hubs.

September 2021.

It's a busy day on the
streets of Shenyang,

the capital of Liaoning
province in northeast China.

Bicyclists and pedestrians
gather on an overpass

by the city's exposition center,

their commutes interrupted

by a strange occurrence
in the skies above.

Passers by pull out
their smartphones,

entranced by an electrifying
beam of white and blue light

that erupts like a
tower in the clouds.

This looks like something
straight out of a sci-fi movie.

Some people said that
this was evidence

of Chinese secret technology.

There was speculation that
these were alien craft.

What makes this
case even more intriguing?

Beams of light spotted
shining throughout China,

including this video from 2023

captured over the
town of Xienjeong.

It appears to show
yet another encounter

documenting an aerial object
bathed in golden light.

It turns out, China
could be where we'll find

clues to extraterrestrial life,

especially since the completion

of the world's largest
single dish radio telescope.

At 500 meters wide,

it's nicknamed Tianyan,

which means Eye of Heaven.

But maybe they don't
need to look so far away.

Let's ask the experts.

First, we turn to visual
effects designer Mark D'Antonio

to analyze the authenticity
of the viral video.

The question is, could
this be faked if necessary?

Well, at this day and age,
you could fake anything

but there are people
watching this phenomenon

and photographing it.

So, it's definitely
something that's there.

So if it's real,
could it be a hologram?

Holograms are three dimensional
images generated by lasers

that appear to reflect
real physical objects.

But when it comes to
creating them, size matters.

So let's say this
was a hologram.

What size is this?

This is major size here.

This has to be
hundreds of feet across

and hundreds of feet tall.

But this isn't "Star Wars,"

where holograms can
show as a 3D object.

It would be too complex
to create it as a hologram

as we understand
holograms today.

So does that mean

that alien technology can
be completely ruled out

as a contributing factor?

Meteorologist Juan
Hernandez says

he's confident that
it can and should be.

Obviously, it is
a beam of light.

Now, is it pulling people
away out of this world?

I don't see any humans,

I don't see any objects that
are flowing up into the sky.

I think this is a
meteorological phenomenon.

It just so happens that we are

a couple hundred
feet from a river,

which leads me to believe

what we're looking
at is a fog bank

that has developed this morning.

We had temperatures in the
low seventies, calm winds,

which usually lead to fog,
especially around rivers.

D'Antonio adds that
instead of an alien ship

beaming down a shaft of energy,

the natural elements are
creating an optical illusion.

What we are seeing is actually

a much more common
source of light

through the hazy fog.

This is
sunlight in a fog bank.

The light gets
dispersed a little

and then comes to the eyes of
the people watching down here.

What they're seeing
is a glow in the fog.

But hang on, look at
those rows of rectangles.

That's not just sunlight
coming through fog, right?

It would have to be reflecting
off something, but what?

What we're looking at is

a light reflection
from a building.

He's right.

As you can see in this
footage from the same angle,

the reflection is actually

the edge of one of the buildings

from the Shenyang Expo Center.

There is a curtain
that is preventing us

from seeing what's
behind the fog.

But if we had a
sunny and clear day,

we would see a building
that is behind here,

but we don't see the backside

of the actual building
in this image.

Our verdict? This
is a light reflection

caused by sun and fog.

One of the reasons the
city could be so foggy

is because of air pollution
due to heavy industry,

coal-fired power plants
and high vehicle emissions.
