What distinguishes
them from warships?

Starfleet officers
take an oath.

First, a vow to obey the laws

of the United
Federation of Planets,

to defend its security,

and to abide to the
principles it stands for.

to obey Starfleet's orders
and responsibilities.

goals of Starfleet

are always in alignment.
