[Fall in You]

[Episode 6]

What?

So can you tell me now

why you suddenly decided to stay?

I found new clues

about my parents' death.

[Han Miao]

The police have a suspect—

Liang Feng,

goes by "Feng."

He's already left the country,

headed for Xijiang.

The third person at the kidnapping scene

is likely tied to the one who attacked me.

I can't leave now.

But if I suddenly decide to stay,

Grandpa will get suspicious.

Miss, what's wrong?

What's wrong?

M-my stomach hurts.

I need to use the restroom.

Take this for me.

Go.

Okay.

Okay.

[Uncle, help me.]

Grandpa.

Why

isn't Uncle seeing me off today?

Oh.

He's busy with work.

Miss Qiao Yan,

it's about time.

We should head to the airport.

Uncle,

do you have something to tell me?

Stay.

I need you.

Okay.

So you think

Wang He met the murderer

before he kidnapped you.

Yes.

When I met Wang He,

he didn't smoke at all.

And that kind of smoke

is only made in Germany.

You can't buy it here.

And Feng left the country.

Too much of a coincidence, right?

This is most likely left by Feng,

which means Wang He

must be connected to Feng.

When Wang He was arrested,

he told the police

he kidnapped you on impulse

because he needed money.

He must be lying.

We'll know once we find Feng.

Yan,

let me handle this.

Don't get involved.

This is about my parents—

how could I stay out of it?

I'm your uncle.

With your parents gone,

I need to keep you safe.

But how could I

stay out of it when I have a lead

of the murderer?

Uncle.

Fine.

Then promise me—

whatever happens,

you have to talk to me first.

No acting alone.

Otherwise, I'll have Lin Ze take you back to Germany.

Threatening me.

Okay.

Uncle, I promise you.

No matter what happens,

I won't act on my own.

I will protect myself.

Pinky swear.

I'm going to see Wang He's wife.

She might know something about Feng.

Need me to come?

No, I can handle it myself.

Boss,

Miss Qiao Yan's appearance at the banquet worked well.

Our stock price is climbing again.

And...

Also,

we found the source of the rumors.

It wasn't Qin's Group.

This is

He Yao, the chief editor of Xijiang Daily.

The first report came from them.

[Photo of Wang He and his wife]

Will he be okay?

Give it to me.

This is the Gu's Group's

bid information from Wang He.

Come in.

Why are you here?

I heard you were sick.

so I came to check on you.

Feeling better?

Just a little cold,

nothing serious.

This is...

from the store next to our welfare house?

After the welfare house was torn down,

they moved to Chengdong District.

I ran into them by chance.

I remember when we were kids—

you and I stood

at the welfare house's gate,

watching people eat wontons,

drooling.

I cried

because I wanted some so badly.

You told me,

when we grow up,

you'll buy me a whole wonton stall.

Yeah.

We were so naive back then.

Happiness was just a bowl of wontons.

Now we have everything,

but…

What's wrong?

Why did you do it?

I...

What did I do?

What are you talking about?

Yuan,

if I don't do this,

would you still be at Gu's?

I couldn't just let you go to Germany

to be Qiao Yan's companion.

What I do is my choice!

I don't need you to make decisions for me!

It's for your own good!

Wan!

Alright.

I know I was wrong.

I'm just afraid that you'll leave me.

You promised to take care of me.

I will take care of you.

That's because we grew up together.

But I hope you can remember

the Gu family and the company

are my last bottom line.

Hello?

Where are you?

I'm on my way.

I saw Feng.

I'm following him.

I'll send you the location later.

Be careful.

Wait for me.

Don't act alone.

Sir,

keep close.

Okay.

[Sharing location]

This is the place.

[Sharing location]

[Gu Jingyuan]

[Power off]

Hello,

the number you dialed is powered off.

Hello?

Someone's been kidnapped

at the Dashiqiao construction site!

Who are you?

Why did you kidnap me?

Do you want money?

I can give you money.

Stop pretending, Qiao Yan.

Didn't you follow me here?

The one who ordered Wang He to kidnap me

was you.

No.

I had another deal with him.

Kidnapping you for money

was his own idea.

You're the one

who stole my model

in Germany.

I'll be right back.

Why did you kill my parents?

Someone paid me.

I needed the money.

Who paid you?

Tell me!

Who paid you?

I can pay you more!

Qiao Yan,

knowing too much

won't do you any good.

You're about to die,

go ask

your parents about it.

Let's not waste time.

Die!

Die!

Die!

Yan. Yan.

Yan.

Yan.

You okay?

Uncle,

he admitted it.

He admitted

someone hired him

to kill my parents.

It's okay.

I'm glad you're okay.

It's okay.

So that's what happened, right?

Yan.

No casualties?

Are you okay?

Let me go to the hospital with you.

I'm fine.

By the way,

why are you two together?

Didn't you ask him to pick me up at the airport?

[Gu Group]

[Welcome Han Miao]

Wait,

you're here to pick me up?

You're Han Miao?

Why are you here so early?

I was just about to go.

The flight landed ahead of schedule.

Is Qiao Yan in the company?

I can't reach her.

Her phone is off.

She's not here.

Call Gu Jingyuan.

What are you waiting for? Call him.

Hello, Boss?

Where are you?

Okay.

Boss said Ms. Qiao might be in danger.

We need to head to his location now.

Let's go.

Wait,

why don't we take my car?

We don't have

time for that.

Are you going or not?

I'm going,

but...

Put it on if you're going.

Wait.

Where'd you get this motorcycle?

I rented it.

[Welcome Han Miao]

He's been roaring the whole way.

My ears are ringing.

You were riding so fast.

Must be going 180 km/h, huh?

You were racing.

If I didn't ride fast,

how'd I get here in time to save Yan

and your boss?

I...

Alright, stop it.

You've both worked hard.

Let's go.

The police said

they'll find Feng soon.

Uncle.

You...

Does your hand hurt?

Should we go to the hospital?

Uncle,

can you talk to me?

You didn't say a word to me all the way.

Can you at least say something?

Do you know I almost—

Qiao Yan, you promised me

you would never act alone.

But I couldn't help it today.

Feng suddenly showed up.

I couldn't just watch him vanish again.

Do you know how dangerous it was today?

I know.

If I'd been a minute later—

what if something happened to you?

I will be fine.

It's a bit dangerous today,

but look,

I'm still home now

safe and sound.

And no matter what happens,

even if the sky falls,

you'll be there, won't you?

Qiao Yan.

I was wrong.

I'm sorry.

Uncle,

forgive me just this once, please?

Just once?

I...

Pack your things.

I'll ask Lin Ze to send you back to Germany in a few days.

I'll explain to Dad.

What? No.

I'm not leaving.

Uncle!

Please, just forgive me this one time.

We can talk.

Gu Jingyuan!

Don't move!

Don't hurt Yan.

Don't move!

No! No!

Yan.

Die!

Yan.

Uncle,

I was wrong.

I'm sorry.

You're so troublesome.

Not a—

I'm sorry.

I'm guilty. I deserve it.

It's my fault.

Never again.

Just give me one more chance.

With such a sincere apology,

he should forgive me, right?

Hi.

Good morning, Uncle.

Cheapskate.

Grandpa,

have more.

Okay.

Dad,

good morning.

Grandpa,

I want to ask you a question.

Well,

shouldn't family

be

understanding

and forgiving?

Even if they

have small disagreements,

or someone makes a little mistake,

shouldn't they still be forgiven?

No need to hold grudges, right?

Of course.

Why do you ask?

Well,

last night

I read a story.

The story is

about

a watermelon

who messed up,

and

his steamed bun family got really mad

and wanted

to kick it out.

After reading it,

I felt so sad.

They're family—

why not

just talk it out?

Watermelon

and steamed bun

are family?

No,

that's not the point.

Grandpa,

the point is

they are family now.

The watermelon already apologized,

but the steamed bun still wouldn't forgive it.

What do you think?

Isn't this steamed bun

being way too stingy?

Stingy won't do—

to steam a bun,

you need plenty of steam.

Full steam makes it fluffy.

Family should

tolerate each other.

Exactly.

Dad,

I'm full.

I'm going to work.

Wait.

I'll take your car.

Grandpa, enjoy your meal.

Bye.

Wait for me!

Wait for me!

You...

Steamed bun,

tell me,

what will it take for you to forgive me?

Promise me

you'll go back to Germany.

No way.

You know,

we haven't caught Feng yet.

I can't leave now.

Then I'll tell Dad

you're still investigating your parents' accident—

and almost got yourself killed.

But we had a deal.

You promised not to tell Grandpa.

And you promised not to act alone,

to put your safety first.

We haven't caught Feng yet.

you stay home and don't wander off.

Visiting Han Miao doesn't

count as wandering, right?

Your phone.

Hey, hey, hey.

Give it back.

[Loading]

[Sharing location]

I can always track you.

If you leave my set area for more than half an hour,

I'll send you straight back to Germany.

That's restricting my freedom!

Says the person who put a tracker in my car.

Never met such

a petty steamed bun!

Who can tell me?

Why's this man so hard to please?

Because you're not dealing with a man—

you're dealing

with a billionaire CEO

with a lethal aura.

I'm

heir to a multibillion-dollar company,

Ms. Qiao.

Ms. Qiao,

aren't you basically living off Mr. Gu?

Who are you siding with?

Of course I side with...

the truth.

What truth?

What's this?

Why are you living at his place

and using a pillow with his face on it?

These things are everywhere.

I forgot to toss them out.

Wei, I'll visit you next month, okay?

Yes, I got a raise.

I'll buy you the latest phone.

Okay?

Okay, no problem.

Jerk.

Stop.

Han Miao,

please answer me seriously.

Why are you staying at Lin Ze's place?

Wait.

Where are you going?

This place is so expensive.

Do you think I can afford it?

I've told them.

Gu's Group will pay for it.

I never

take advantage of others.

If you don't live here,

where do you live?

Help me find a short rental.

Is that okay?

Short rental?

What kind do you want?

First, clean.

Second, convenient.

Third,

not too expensive.

He needs money

and happens to have a room to rent.

I need a room

and I don't want to stay in a hotel.

And he's an employee of your company,

so we know him.

What a perfect roommate.

Then why don't you live with me?

Forget it.

You have

two bosses living with you.

I can't stand that.

Fair point.

Fine.

You came back to see me,

so I'll pay

your rent.

Thanks then.

Actually,

I also took some coding gigs

to explore the domestic market.

Thank you for letting me go back, my lady.

What lady? Come on.

I'm about to be sent back.

A few days ago,

I saw a relationship coach online.

He was teaching how to coax your lover.

Not sure

if it works on elders.

Still worth a try.

Tell me about it.
