I remember the days of Auffa and Seca, those wild.

Samoan that great tag team and the head shrinkers are certainly following in their footsteps almost step-for-step.

Well, they had a quite a run here as WWF tag team champions.

Off of Seca didn't seem that anyone was going to come down the pike that would de-thrown them.

And it looks like these head shrinkers have the same idea.

They want to get their hands on the gold regardless of who has it.

Marilla Monson has coined Bret Hart, the man with the excellence of execution,

and he certainly will have to be technically pure in this contest against this big five two,

who's well over 300 pounds. Oh, look at that. That's the right thing to do right there.

And Brett tried a cross body press, was caught in mid-air by Fatou.

Fatou going for the elbow, nobody there that time.

Arndrag takeover and the champion takes his much larger challenger off his feet

and drives that knee right into the bicep.

I don't suppose anyone has seen the hide and error of Samu.

That takes a lot of concentration.

You know, once you've got the title in your hands, Jim Ross,

it's relatively easy to hold onto it.

You can only lose it by a pinfall or submission.

Anything else, you could lose the match,

but you still go home with a goal.

That's a very valid point.

It puts the champion in the driver's seat, so to speak.

And Fatou set much too early, but his head was much too hard, and what a kick.

What a martial arts kick that caught Bret hit man hard in the face.

It could be over, a new title.

Often got to be getting excited now on the outside realizing how close his man

is to dethroning the reigning WWF champion.

Nice reversal and a block off.

He may be getting a little frustrated, Jim.

These guys don't have a great deal of intelligence.

Although some of the moves they put together,

kinda makes you think.

They may be, are they smarter than we think they are, perhaps?

Well, that particular individual, we just had a glimpse of a moment ago,

would like you to believe that he's a complete idiot, but he's not.

He's a ring-wise veteran, as you mentioned.

He and his former partner, Seiko, were the WWF tag champions for quite some time.

Hair pull by Fatou, taking the champion back down to the canvas.

Just when you think you've got these head shrinkers right where you want them, you find out that you don't.

Look at this now, going to work on the trapezius.

They're gonna look right over the shoulder of Alpha.

who always seems to maneuver himself around that ring to be in the right

position to give verbal commands to his men at all times.

Fautu just raked the champion in the eye, and Red Hart able to get back up to a

The situation here is that we may be looking at a new

I've never seen Bret Hart physically punished as we are seeing right here.

Why, frankly, I didn't think he had the horsepower

to stay with Mr. Perfect.

I think Bigelow, he wants this match to take place outside the ring.

He's hitting with everything, as you said, in the book.

And look at the Undertaker again, refusing to stay down.

Drawing power from that urn.

Bam Bam, if I were you, I'd go directly to the locker room.

Another flying headbutt by the near 400 pound Bam Bam Bigelow.

He certainly would have put away anybody by now with a kind of assault that he's been delivering here for the last two or three minutes.

Where's he going now? Is he going up again?

Bigelow positioning the Undertaker where he wants him.

And Bigelow known to come off the top rope from time to time.

We're gonna have Air Bam Bam here.

And this is not a first class plane ride.

It will be a rocky flight, but no one is there.

Can he get him up?

What power displayed by the Undertaker?

Well, that's what I suggested earlier on, Bam Bam.

Bigelow is headed toward the locker room.

The referee is using his count and this one is over.

Bigelow's gonna wait and find another day, it would seem.

As a result of a countdown, the Undertaker.

Undertaker chocks up another.

all the punishment that he's already absorbed from Bam Bam Bigelow.

Paul Barrett, this is not a good idea.

Many of the WWF officials and the referees out here

are trying to restrain these two big men.

So once and for all, with the WWF of The Undertaker,

I don't know whether that's possible or not.

when our next gentleman is introduced.

You know, Martel told me that he makes so much money modeling.

Now, uh-oh, there it goes.

When you hear this ovation, this place is going to burst.

Athletes here in the WWF, and they were saying the model makes so much money now,

modeling that he just does this as a sideline.

I find that hard to believe here.

Yeah, it's, I find it extremely hard to believe.

But it's certainly not hard to believe that Tito Santana has been one of the more

lasting and enduring competitors ever to compete.

World Wrestling Federation, we talked about Martel's accomplishments.

This guy here is no stranger to championships either.

Boy, how the WWF Tag Team Championship on a number of occasions with a number

of different partners was Intercontinental Champion.

Lost the title in the Boston Garden.

I remember the night like it was yesterday for the Macho Man Randy Savage.

And that had to be one of the great, great matchups that any of us had ever seen.

A classic confrontation indeed.

This is going to be a classic.

I think this is going to be an outstanding matchup.

Colornel Botaia, Martel forcing Santana back into the ropes.

You know, and Martell made a lot of derogatory statements about Tito Santana prior to this match,

and it doesn't take much to get that Mexican blood hot.

You're right. You're exactly right.

Santana was an outstanding football player at West Texas State University.

Played tight end, and he was a rugged competitor on the gridiron.

Probably still could.

What great shape both these guys over that matter really keep themselves in top shape nice counter move from the overhand wrist lock into the hammer lock

Sometimes he gets a little carried away with himself

There's no conceit in his family I understand he has it all yes 15. I think you're exactly right on that one

But he has won the respect and the honor of fans all over the world,

especially here in the UK.

They love him here, they love what he can do inside that squared circle.

And Martel gets the better of the situation as he takes Santana to the top turnbuckle.

This time Santana blocked it, drove the elbow to the abdomen, and

Blow to the top turnbuckle himself, and follows it with some stinging right hands.

Whip, that's gonna be reversed, and Martell shows good agility.

Look at that, he was waiting.

He was waiting on that, that was a real veteran maneuver by Tito Santana.

And I'm surprised that Martell made that mistake.

Well ring veterans usually don't make those kind of mistakes now.

Martel's gonna have to contend with perhaps losing some modeling money

that that nose is a little bit bent out of shape.

Yeah, he may rearrange, there's a profile rearrange there.

That's not gonna help things.

Another right hand by Santana, and another really hammering Martel.

Brings him outside back in.

having to deal with Flair and Perfect.

And it does damage not only to the bone structure, but to the ligament and tendons.

I guess the original Nature Boy, Bunny Rogers, one of the first to utilize the figure four.

When you talk about true champions, champions who have defended against all

commerce, champions who fought under all kinds of diversity,

Macho Man has to be right up there near the top.

The amount of times that he defended a title is certainly comparable to Brett

the Hitman Hart, who also was one of the most active champions ever.

Well, had Brett the Hitman Hart held the title as long as the Macho Man,

he definitely would have been.

He would have had more title defenses than anyone.

Well, Goretta right there was a very resourceful move by Michaels again.

He looks at the referee's positioning.

And the very moment that the referee can't seem,

he used the hair again to take down the champion.

Bret Hart used so much strength and energy to work his way back to a vertical

base to get into a position to counter and then his hair was used to take him down.

We can see the makings of a new perhaps intercontinental champion right here in

Syracuse, New York.
