Well, first of all, I'm gonna tell you, Chavani,

Well, don't you worry about that, Jesse Ventura.

But tonight, the big man event, they're all talking about-

Who does the Barbara Bief kick against the Macho Man and Zeus?

Unbelievable, Zeus, that man of destruction, can Hogan get to him?

I don't think so.

And from there, we also have the Intercontinental Matchup and much more.

situation because if they win, they don't win the title.

It would put him in line for a title shot.

But if they lose, they may not see a title shot for the next year.

Why in the world a question here now, an event, a magnitude of Summerslam.

Why wouldn't the brain and his men put the titles up against the Hart Foundation?

I believe it was because they weren't the champions when the match was signed.

before the Brain Busters won the title so there was no title to put on the line.

Double the line drags the Hitman going right after Tully Blanchard.

He is right up with a wrist lock, but he blanchard down to the big elbow of the Hitman.

Brett Hart had Tully Blanchard starting things and gave me the Hitman is going after him.

This ought to be some great wrestling with these two because mechanically there may not be

two more sound wrestlers in the world than Tully Blanchard and Brett the Hitman Hart.

They're two of the finest until he made a way over. Look at that.

After nearly Anderson to the side of the head,

Simi and Arne Anderson, Arne Anderson, oh, great move,

right to the head, and a great reversal for the Hitman.

Well, we're seeing some great wrestling right here.

Some classic moves by Brett the Hitman.

Arne Anderson moving extremely well,

hitting with that drop toehold very effectively,

but the Hitman reversing it on him.

Holding the arm down and slamming Arne Anderson

right down onto the arm.

But the Hitman stays right on him, not letting Anderson get up.

We've seen some great moves, you're right just so far.

And now here's a tag, and the big man is here with a double X-handed blow.

That's the Anvil, and now we see Arn Anderson in against Jim the Anvil

Knightheart, here are the two power men of each team.

Exactly, Tony, there's Bobby Heenan outside the ring.

He's concerned, even though it's a non-title matchup.

The Anvil, he's strange, you know, this guy don't play with a full deck,

and that's why he complements Brett the Hitman heart so well.

Anderson is up, trying to take him down, holding onto the tights, but no,

the handle will not let go of the wrist.

Anderson slips in the lead, and another one.

All right, Anderson quickly to make a tag, but he did not get it done, did not get the tag.

Well, that was strictly a case of the Anvil-Nighthart superior strength.

Tharn Anderson going for the tag, but didn't have enough strength to pull the Anvil with him.

The Anvil reverses him across the ring, and Arn Anderson's in serious trouble right now.

Vee and Double-Chimed in the corner here, here comes the Anvil.

Right to the wrist again.

They are staying on that left arm of Arne Anderson,

who is desperately trying to get to his corner.

He is almost there.

The tag, and Joey Morelle is not going to allow the tag.

And now the other way, pushing Arne Anderson back.

And here comes the tag once again as the hitman comes in.

Great teamwork so far from the Heart Foundation.

Well, the Hart Foundation's had the advantage here in the early going.

The Anvil Knight Hart with his power and the hitman with his wrestling ability.

Head scissors at the time, and I mean, Red Hart was out of the hurry.

And now the long awaited tag for the brainbusters finally made.

And it seems that Bobby upset right now.

Well, think things not going too good in the early going here for Bobby Heenan.

Wow.

Blanchard tried for a cheap shot and the hip man seen them all.

He didn't go for it.

A kick, right to the hip to the hamstring muscle.

And the anvil, once again, right on the wrist.

He is staying down on the wrist this time until he blanchard,

who goes right for the beard,

trying to just break his fingers right down through the face there,

down to the ropes of the Irish whip.

Tried a hip toss, but up to maybe...

Blanchard taken down by the wrist and once again the teamwork has been all

hard foundation they are really starting out like a ball of fire and well I

don't blame the brain but it's not putting the title up especially after

seeing the early moments of this match. Wait a minute, wait a minute Shabani.

for not putting the title up when they didn't have it in the first place at the time to put it up.

But still, once the contract has been signed, once they have the titles,

they can say, okay, yeah, let's put the titles up.

Would you do that?

I think I would.

Oh, I've heard it all now.

Back to the corner, to the other side, and now Blanchard hits hard.

Can't totally make a tag, he cannot, go Hitman.

I can't believe at this point in the match how the Heart Foundation has

literally dominated the action.

The World Wrestling Federation champions the brainbusters not quite in sync tonight.

Maybe not totally prepared for the Hart Foundation and what they were in for.

Maybe they overestimated them.

That could be just in a page or never.

They've even got Arne Anderson looking up into the crowd.

Arne shouldn't be making that kind of mistake, listening to what the crowd's saying.

Reaching out for the leg from behind, he's trying to get out of this.

But the hit man has, and Hammerlock really clamped in.

Tully with a great move, he goes to a top wrist lock, and nails the hit man to the

midsection and tries to take him down.

Look at the power of the hit man, he is still in a bridge here, not going down to the mat.

Well, that's extreme neck strength right there.

That's something that you'll learn in amateur wrestling.

That you've got to have a powerful neck to survive in the world of the pros.

February checking in, one count.

And once again, the bridge up for the Hitman.

Tremendous power move right there by the Hitman, Bret Hart.

He's going right down after him too, Jess.

This may spell trouble for the Heart Foundation.

You don't want to go down low against the Brainbusters.

The Hitman is not aware of it, dropped behind.

You know, you gotta compliment the champions.

They're always thinking in that ring, Tony.

In effect, he'll get a time out if he can waste enough time on the outside.

And Heenan over with him as you take a look at two competent men.

Everything's gone their way so far.

They gotta worry about something though because if the Heart Foundation wins this

matchup, that puts them right in line as number one contenders.

But then, apparently, it's not important to the brain because all he's

worried about is the championship.

Now, taking Tully Blanchard off his feet.

A stomp to the midsection.

And did he drive that boot into Tully's abdominal area?

Blanchard's hurting.

He really is the hit man.

Had his way with Tully Blanchard face first to the anvil.

Blanchard staggering.

Notice how Blanchard though tries to make his way back to the corner.

He's trying to, but he don't know where he's at right now.

Closest guy he could attack was referee Joey Morella.

Now, to the other neutral corner.

Oh, he caught him in the middle.

arm grab, Tully, pulled him out of the way, and

the tide of this match has changed drastically now.

Now we'll see if the Heart Foundation can take it as well as dish it out.

A couple of stops, Anderson taunting now, the Hitman.

And that's really easy to do when you've got the advantage, knee up, right.

Into the knee at Tully Blanchard, and now the double teeming on the other side.

And he drove the point of that elbow into the Anvil's back.

The reverse chin lock now pulling up.

Lancer a protection.

Lancer is going to have a tough time holding the Anvil down though.

Cuz Nighthawk has a weighted bandage of about 35 to 40 pounds and

he's got tremendous strength.

Tremendous crowd on hand, here's the middle edge for Summerslam.

Witnessing a tag team event to begin things and what a contest it's been.

Look at the Anvil powering up now as the brain watches on.

The question is, can the Anvil make the tag?

He's gonna get Anderson a piggyback ride, no attack.

Here comes some double team once again the knee of Tully Blanchard and the anvil finds himself in trouble a

Clinch fist and a warning from the referee, but still the tags

Well, the tide of this match has changed tremendously and Bill needs to make a tag.

I don't care how strong he is, you can't take that kind of punishment.

Here he goes, he was close that time.

Anderson sends him in, and down goes Anderson.

Moving along!

Rightfully so, Anderson went down hard.

Now we got a race as slow as it is.

We got a race to see who can make it to the corner, who can make the tag.

Because that could be the difference in this bout right now.

Who can tag and who doesn't?

The Anvil, he did not get there, did not get there.

And Anderson goes to cut him off.

A reversal, sending on Anderson in, down goes the Anvil.

Well, I think honky-tonk needs to out-wrestle this guy.

And I believe it's heartbreak hotel time.

Jimmy sneaky don't you just love him Tony I don't know if I love him or not

but you're right he is sneaky I mean he gets in and out of there does his damn

it so well referee doesn't see a thing

he's quick there's no now we saw him running from Dusty Rhodes and that just

proved how quick he was

always remember something Tony it's whether you win or lose it ain't how

you play the game

for goodness sakes.

Right to the chin, you see Dusty, Dusty may be out here.

A lot of confidence, one thing you gotta give to Colonel Jimmy Hutt.

He really, really inspires his men at ringside.

Well, one thing's for sure, they could definitely hear him.

The key for Hunky is to get him back down, and he's not gonna be able to do it.

Hunky taught him with a knee, and a nice move by the Hunky Talk Man.

And that definitely got him back down.

The double ax handle blow, and Dusty tries to pop back up.

It's just no keeping this man down.

There's no need, Hunky, stay with it, baby.

Once again, right to the head, trying to cut the supply of oxygen off to the head.

And Dusty, once again, tries to come back.

And Hunky has really tried to slow this pace down.

A good look at the Hunky Tunkman and now Dusty Rhodes trying to get out.

The fans now clapping, chilling behind Dusty Rhodes.

And you know what?

Rhodes is one of these kind of wrestlers that gets inspired by the fans.

He's a guy that definitely reacts to fanfare.

So Dusty is not down yet.

Hockey holding right on, referee checks in.

That is a legal hold again.

But here comes Dusty Rhodes standing up,

and he got to blow in again.

See, honky-tonk right back in with that reverse chin lock.

He's wearing Dusty Rhodes down with that.

Question is here, how many times can Rhodes get up?

A lot of pressure on, well, as soon as you speak,

Dusty Rhodes is trying to get up once again.

He has to get up, he can't stay down on that mat.

That holder wear him down too much.

Once again, the referee checks in, but Dusty apparently is okay.

The Colonel looks.

to the Hunky Tunkman, but Dusty now hands him back to our neutral corner,

and this may be trouble right here.

And Hunky needs to get out of that corner.

Boy, the Hunky Tunkman fights right back every time.

And you know, no matter how big you are, a good poke to the eye will slow you down.

You can't question that.

Right hand, you can question the use of it, but there's no doubt it'll slow you down.

And now they are going toe-to-toe into a corner.

Right hand to right hand, and Rhodes is getting the better of it.

And Dusty Rhodes, getting a second win now.

He's dancing around the ring, left hand down, the honky-tonk man.

He needs to bail out to the floor, recoup himself here.

any team can beat any other team on a given Sunday.

Right.

The same holds true in the wrestling ring.

A very confident Mr. Perfect is shoving the Red Rooster by the face now, and the Rooster did not take it at all.

So the Red Rooster, very confident here.

They go to the counter now, but time, oh great, Andre.

Boy, is he ever quick.

Well, Mr. Perfect does just about everything perfect from his wrestling to his

golf to his cool play and you name it, this guy excels and look at that dip toss.

And he's given the Rooster a little lesson right now on the basics of wrestling.

Doing a little, I guess, chicken strut of his own right here.

Chicken strut, I don't think the Rooster take too kindly to that.

A rooster strut there.

I guess that would slap the confidence right out of your face.

Well, that was kind of a cheap shot.

Perfect's been wrestling in the rooster with a cheap shot like that.

Now to the side headlock, takes him into the ropes, down goes the rooster.

He goes down again, great movement here for the rooster.

What quickness we're seeing.

Look at this though, fix him on, now from behind, a pick up by the Red Rooster.

Mr. Fubric falls on him and he just escapes stuff the Red Rooster.

Well, the Rooster overcompensated for Perfect's win there and went down hard.

And Mr. Perfect's in control of this match.

Boy, he really is right now, with that big backhanded chop that time.

I thought the Rooster was quick, but I gotta think Mr.

Perfect's a little bit quicker.

Now measuring the Rooster.

A standing drop kick.

That was totally awesome.

That takes a lot of ability to get your legs up that high and

deliver a blow of that magnitude from a standing position.

He is looking away now from the rooster.

Alain, the rooster to roll back in.

I think I was the first one that ever did that, a standing drop kick.

Right to the back of the head.

Well, there's no doubt, he really perfected the move.

But look at the rooster finding back.

Look at that, cheap shot right to the eyes, can't beat him wrestling.

Now, those are the man outside, and look at the rooster going on the floor after

Mr. Perfex right here to the face.

You know, I'm really surprised it's been Rooster that's instigated all this brawling.

Mr. Perfex tried to keep it to wrestling, but the rooster's trying to turn it into a brawl.

No, no, no, no, I'm not saying that Tony Shibani.

I'm saying that the Rooster instigated it all.

Perfect was wrestling.

Now the perfect place.

Let's take a look at it once again.

And his record is still intact, Tony, right here, you see.

Mr. Perfect hooking the rooster with the perfect plex right here.

Up he goes, beautiful move, look at the bridge, hooks the hands.

There's nowhere for the rooster to go, down for the three count.

So there it is, a tremendous win for Mr.

Perfect over the red rooster here at Summerslam.

Okay, standing by now, Jean Ocrelat with Ravishing Rick Root and Bobby the Brain Heenit.

Gentlemen, as you know, the ultimate warrior has promised that after his match with you

tonight that he will once again wear the Intercontinental Championship belt.

You've got to have some thoughts on that, Rick Root.

Well, little man, promises are made to be broken, along with arms, legs, necks, and hearts.

Tonight, in all the heat of Summer Slam, I will prove the warrior is nothing more than

the ultimate liar and that I am the ultimate intercontinental champion.

All right, Bobby Hannon, also made to be broken are rules, and if we have to, we will break

those rules to keep this title.

Now when you made this promise to all your humanoids, all your little warriors out there

with their ugly little mushes painted, big deal, tough.

cuz you lied to him and you let him down cuz you're not gonna capture this.

But I'll tell you one thing you're gonna do,

I would say this, I think the advantage lies with the Rujos and

Rick Martel for the fact that they can speak French.

They could communicate in that ring without the Rockers or

Chico Santana have any idea what they're doing or saying.

Yeah, you may have heard slick right there saying this won't take long so

Cominich runs high in the corner of the Slickster.

and Jimmy Hart.

Well, we should see some spectacular moves in this bout

because you got some real high flyers in there.

The Rockers are called Tag Team Specialists.

Chico Santana can definitely get off his feet.

Rick Martell is wrestling better than I've ever seen him

since he's come under the tutelage of Slick

and the Rouge Old Brothers.

It's the classic, blood is thicker than water.

They're brothers, they think alike, they act alike.

Who will begin? Kido Shantana, apparently, is it going to be Rick Martell as a sixter?

And Colonel, no, it's not gonna be Martel.

Martel went on the outside and the fans wanna see Martel go at it against Tito.

Rick Martel's playing a sight game on him, Tony.

What do you think he's gonna give him what he wants right at the start of the match?

That's a smart ploy by the Rujos and Rick Martel.

And you can bet that that thought pattern probably came right from the heads of Slick

and Jimmy Hart.

Well, Tito's a caliber of athlete, do not let that bother him.

And to go right after Jacques Rougeau, I wouldn't shake his hand on a bet.

And that's exactly, he's gonna leave that hand alone.

Why not?

He hasn't done nothing wrong, he wants a fair matchup.

Jess, we've seen it so many times.

You grab that hand, he'll grab your hand and slap you right in the face.

I mean, that's happened a lot.

So why should he trust him here?

Maybe, maybe he's gotta change a heart, you know, fairs, fair, whatever.
