ship, we know it's a scavenger.

We have to assume
that their intention

is to tear the Enterprise
apart as well.

to get engine control
back online

so that when we get
to Engineering

and we stop the power drain,

we're ready
to make a run for it.

and make itself bigger.

it will never stop,

it'll never have enough.

found their weakness:

their ravenous need to consume.

the plasma manifold

until it's overflowing
with aldentium.

The big decisions--
they seem so simple

to live with the consequences,

but the choices
you make in that chair...

...and what comes after...

...that is yours to live with.

Some decisions you will regret
for the rest of your life,

but you still have to make them.

They were human beings.

Why does that make it feel
so much worse?

All I can say is...

...having empathy for your
adversary is part of the job.

of them as people...
