So exactly where is it?

All of the United States and Canada, all
over. All of it? All of it. Oh, okay.

Well, that makes sense. Yeah.

So I'm looking for a volunteer who wants
to come to a card street. Oh, there's a

quick hand right there. Everyone give
him a round of applause.

What is your name there?

Esther. Esther, nice to meet you.
Esther, I have a deck of cards here. You

see all these cards are different,
correct? Yeah.

Everything's fair.

Whenever you're ready, Esther, just say
stop.

Stop. Right there. Are you sure?

100%. Do you want to change your mind?

Nope. Perfect. Take a look at that card,
Esther, and show everyone here that

card. Do not show me.

Perfect. All right, Esther, if I can get
you to take your card, place it

anywhere on this deck.

Anywhere you want. Yeah, right there. It
looks good.

All right, Esther, take that, shuffle it
up, mix it up good.

Oh. It's perfect. Like that.

Nice.

It works. It works.

You satisfied with it? Yeah.

Love it, Esther. I love it.

Now, we're going to take your cards.
We're actually just going to drop them

here like so, and we'll leave one out.
What do you like to do in your free

Eat marshmallows? Perfect.

Okay.

I brought some marshmallows for Esther.
I like to make s'mores. We're going to

roast some marshmallows. If I can get
you to go ahead and reach in there and

grab any marshmallow you want.

Nice and fluffy. Yes, perfect.

As a matter of fact, though, I would
have preferred if you grabbed the one

already on a stick.

Perfect. So we're going to take this
marshmallow, Esther, and all we're going

do is take this card here, and we're
actually going to light it on fire.

As you can see, that's a big flame
there. Can't miss it.

Can you see it? Is this card burning?

That's real fire, no illusion, correct?

It's fire.

Watch it. We take it.

Perfect.

There we go.

Start roasting.

Roast. Think about your card. Think
about your card, Esther.

One card actually burns on that
marshmallow.

If you guys want to, everybody can kind
of think of a moment that maybe was a

definitive moment in your life, a moment
that defined who you are. If you have a

moment in mind, raise your hand right
now if you've got a moment in your mind.

Maybe this girl in the red would be
great. Everybody give her a big hand.

How will you watch three steps on stage?
Come on up. What is your name?

Taryn. Taryn?

Taryn, here's the plan. Do you have a
moment in mind right now? A moment that

means something to you?

Like a really important moment. Now, if
this moment means something to you and

it also involves another human being,
that would be great, too. Is that a

possibility?

Really? Cool. All right. I didn't guess
just then. So,

Taryn, check it out. I've got some flash
cards here.

They're like index cards. They could
almost look like playing cards. They're

not. They're just flash blank flash
cards, piece of paper.

Taryn, I want you to check those out.
Make sure they're exactly what they

to be, just blank white pieces of paper.
Yes?

Yes. Awesome stuff. Taryn, I want you to
take one of those out.

And you're going to write down the
moment in time that means something,

moment that is incredibly precious to
you. So maybe the date or something like

that, if that makes sense.

We're also going to grab a gentleman
over here.

Let's see, maybe this guy right here.
What's your name, man? Jackie.

Jackie, Jackie. Everybody give Jackie a
big hand. Jackie, come on up.

How's it going? Come on up, my friend.

Jackie, you're going to stand right over
here.

Jackie, I got a couple of chalkboards
with me. These were really popular back

the 1800s. Take notes, write things
down. Check that out. Make sure it's

chalkboard. White both sides. Nothing
funny about it. Yeah?

Cool. You good? White both sides of that
one, too. Make sure it's good. That

one, too.

Go ahead. You can wipe it. Yeah? You
sure?

The second, you're going to wish you
looked closer, Jackie.

I'm going to place the boards together
in between the boards.

Jackie, I'm going to place a tiny little
piece of chalk.

Really simple. Just like this.

Jackie, your job's super simple. All
you're going to do is hold on to both

of the boards.

After a while, you're going to start to
hear that chalk writing by itself.

Don't freak out when that happens, okay?

These are really old. Don't throw them
and run away.

Taryn, you're thinking about a moment in
time that means something to you, yeah?

If you can, you can show me the moment,
if you don't mind. Maybe we'll show it

to the camera and the rest of the

And you said you had a name that was
associated. Since we have more space on

there, could you write really big the
name right here, like all the way down

there? That way we can make it even more

next card. Oh, it's the three of

spades. That's a little weird. And you
guys get another card, the four of

diamonds. Now, three, you have a very,
very important specific job.

Make sure those cards are real.

Yeah. Are they real? Okay. And Omar, you
actually get to put these back inside

the deck.

Go ahead, anywhere you like.

Great.

Yes.

Good job.

Okay.

Now, Omar, I'm going to leave those
puzzle pieces kind of scattered onto the

table just like this. And I'm going to
give the deck a shuffle.

Do you know what happens when I shuffle
the deck?

No. They mix up.

Yeah. That's really, literally all they
do is they just mix up. But also the

cards turn face up.

When I do this, they really do stay face
up. Do you remember that first card?

Um, King of Hearts.

Great, we do have it. We have the six
and the three.

And the last, you said the King of
Hearts?

Oh, there it is.

Every single card, the king, and what
was the next one?

The six of diamonds. The six of
diamonds. And the next one?

Three of spades. And the last one?

Four of diamonds. All face up inside.

It's okay. I wasn't impressed either.

Get up. But what good are puzzle pieces
unless they have something to

fit into?

And the first puzzle piece really is the
king of hearts, and it does fit

absolutely perfect into the king of
hearts. And the next puzzle piece is in

the six of diamonds, and it does fit
absolutely perfect into the six of

diamonds. The next puzzle piece is in
fact the three of spades, and it does

absolutely perfect into the three of
spades. It is a weird tear, but thank

goodness it actually fits that other
weird tear, which is the four of spades.

Diamonds.

I've thought the night sky is the
magical place ever since I was a little

My dad and I had this tradition where
before bedtime he would put me onto his

shoulders and we'd walk around the
neighborhood and he would point out at

different constellations in the night
sky.

We had this little game that we'd play
with a pocket constellation guide like

this and I would be tasked with flipping
through the constellations.

and taking one out, and we'd see how
fast he could find it in the night sky.

There are thousands of different stars
in this book, over a hundred different

constellations. We're going to be
picking one, but instead of me picking a

constellation, all of you are going to
do that. Let's just pick a handful here.

Let's go with you, and you, and you, and
you, and you, and you, and you.

Okay, if I point it to you, raise your
hand.

Perfect. All right. You all are going to
play a special role in a second. First

of all, I am going to point to someone
over here. Let's go with this person

right here in the black jacket. Hello.
Would you please stand for me?

Thank you so much for your help. What is
your name?

The Deer. Nice to meet you, The Deer.
You're going to help me out. I just

pointed to some random people. If I
pointed to you, stand up for me.

Perfect. I'd like all of you who are
standing to hold up a number of fingers

between 1 and 10. Go ahead.

and hold them up so that Sadeer can see.

Sadeer, you now have a special decision
to make. I want you to pick two people

who have numbers that you like and point
to the first one now.

All right, you were the first one, and
then pick one more person for me.

Hello. All right. If you were not
pointed to, you can sit down. What was

number you had on your finger? You had
the number six. And what is the number

that you had? Number three? Does that
make sense? We'll pick 63.

All right, we're going to go to the 63rd
constellation.

There's over 100 different pages in this
book. We're going to go to the 63rd

one. Let's see. So this is number 16.

Is that Aquila the eagle?

We have page 60 is the Leo miners. So
this is number 60.

This would be number 61. So we'll go to
the next one, which is 62.

And then this is 63.

Now, it appears that 63 is just a star
view.

of the constellation here on the 62nd
page that is Canis Major, symbolized by

a triangle for the head, and then three
stars for the hind legs, two stars from

the front, and then one star for the
tail.

Okay, now this is the point where it
would now be my job to look up into the

night sky and point out that
constellation to all of you.

We are inside right now, and my grand
finale doesn't involve blowing the roof

off of the plate.

So instead, we're going to create the
night sky amongst all of you. Everybody

the audience, would you take out your
cell phones and turn on your cell phone

flashlight?

In a moment, lower them quickly into
your lap. Now, had any of you sat in

different places, had Sadir pointed to a
different set of people, we would have

landed on a different number and a
different page and thereby a different

constellation entirely.

But I believe we were all destined to be
here tonight.

destined to be in this room together.
And if we all work together, we might be

able to create a special moment of
interstellar serendipity.

On the count of three, we are all going
to lower our cell phone flashlights,

except the specific set of people who I
pointed to earlier, that whole handful

of people, you all, just you, will leave
your cell phone flashlights up.

Everyone else will lower them. And this
happens on the count of three. One, two,

three, turn out the light.

And if you look, ladies and gentlemen, I
am seeing three stars for the head, two

for the front leg, three for the hind
tail.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the
countest major constellation.

It was written in the stars all along.

So let's all dream a little bigger. And
remember that the stars

can be closer.

Then we think.
