I used to sleep at park

Put them quarters

had that heat on in the winter.

But sometimes I just
walked to the sun come up.

You just learn how to survive.
You just live.

motels right here.

These the first motels
that I started livin' in.

It was straight hustle activity.

They ain't even had these
gates and shit on there

'cause they know we used to,
niggah, run in and out,

make plays back

teenager on these streets.

There's no mercy or
expectation of a saving grace.

He was murdered the summer of

all for dancing and living out
loud.

And whenever one of ours is
lost to the tragedy of violence

and hatred, the whole
community feels it no matter

of silence

for our brother O'Shae.

Just a moment for our brother
O'Shae,

for being stabbed down
on the street corner.

your frustration,

He embodied it every single day.

I didn't wanna be outcasted.

I didn't wanna be fired more
importantly.

But I had a next door neighbor,

Miss Auntie Sharon
is what I call her.

She's known in Dallas
as Sweet Meat.

She was very comfortable in her
sexuality.

She helped me change my
perspective

and it made me feel good
that I have representation.

They were loud and proud,
you know?

And after that I was like,
fuck this

and fuck everybody else like,

and who- who the fuck are you
to say

what's traditional and what's
not?

I think I mirror the
leadership that I was able

to see from her.

You get the auntie love from me.

not just idle threats.

I was in my partner house,

they came up to me,
at least seven

Then them niggahs got mad

and wondered
why I lied about it,

like bitch,
'cause they'll kill me.

The fuck?

it's like I didn't care about my
