- [The Lion's Secret] - [Original novel is My Wife Falls in Love with Me, written by Ao Wuchang]

[Previously]

Actually Yu Manshan is not as simple

as she appears to be.

What do you want?

Giving these files to the police

is your best choice.

Grandma, where is this place?

This is Bazhen.

It's in the southeast.

The criminal suspect, whose last name is Wu,

engaging in the business of illegally refitting cars,

killed three accomplices due to uneven distribution of the stolen goods.

He is the only important witness

that can prove the innocence of Fengyu.

They would not let us

find him so easily.

[Episode 15]

[Places in this story are purely invented.]

Bazhen?

Wanqing's grandfather

built a charity school there.

I don't know what those people are really after,

but it's definitely no simple coincidence.

Could it be related to that mission?

We should call the police.

When are you going to get into the habit of

knocking the door before entering the room?

Just a minute.

I'll go back to my room after a while.

You're not asleep?

Are you still worried about Wu Fengyu?

Wanqing.

Are you busy today in the company?

What's wrong?

I plan to go to Fengyu's car factory later

and collect some of his alibis.

OK. You can just go.

I have meetings all day.

Li Na will keep me company.

I won't go to the company then?

OK.

OK.

Miss Li?

Where's Liu Qing?

He's out.

You can just call him if you're looking for him.

He's not answering.

I'll just wait for him here.

Ms. Mu, Yang Zhentian is also here.

He brought the biding document for Weikai Group himself.

Ms. Mu.

Long time no see.

Mr. Yang, how daring!

You're in my company trying to steal business?

Ms. Mu, don't talk like that.

You have a huge piece of meat in your mouth.

Of course other hunters will come following the smell of it.

Since it's already in my mouth,

how could I let it go easily?

Besides, I really had no idea that

Zhentian was also interested in this business.

Ms. Mu.

You have no idea about a lot of things.

Goodbye.

Zhentian has for several times

invited us to cooperate.

If I tell him no again,

it would make me unkind.

I've read the proposal in detail.

I've also seen the on-site test video.

With no actual combat experience at all,

frankly speaking,

I have a lot of worries

to enter this field

where the threshold is incredibly high.

Once we bid for it,

the bet is the foundation of the entire group.

Everyone will be buying stocks

and the stock price will soar.

But most of them

are just holding a wait-and-see attitude

and waiting to see our failure.

But if we succeed,

there will be a big breakthrough in technology.

And we'll no longer need to rely on

imported aviation technology.

That's right.

So, different from the proposal,

we should focus on global production

from the very beginning.

In this way we can not only

greatly reduce the costs of materials,

but can also reach

the scale of self-attracting capital pooling

and reduce our financial pressure.

Zhentian Group has been

giving us their firm promise since we first met.

But today

they only gave us an empty one.

They have to wait until the meeting to announce.

So I hope that

Maoyuan can also be fully prepared by then.

That's it for business.

We should meet in private.

[As long as you can give me the safe in Mu's old mansion tomorrow evening at 7]

[the people you want will be safe and alright.]

They're really taking action on the Mu's family.

Do you know what's in the safe?

I don't know.

But we shouldn't act without careful consideration.

We're in a very passive position.

I can't care so much. Saving Fengyu is our priority.

Since they want the safe,

then we can use the opportunity

to find out the biggest boss behind.

If they're so deliberately seeking all ways to get it,

whatever it is inside,

we can never let them have it.

As the old plan goes,

you take care of the outside and the whole.

Tomorrow I'll go learn more about the situation.

Fingerprint lock?

The safe is in the study on the second floor.

But it needs fingerprints.

That's not so hard to solve.

Every safe has its protection mechanism.

If you open it forcibly, the alarm will be triggered.

Then what if I cut off the electricity?

If the electricity is cut off for more than 5 minutes,

the same thing will happen. You know.

Got it. It'll trigger the alarm.

How about this?

You should just tell the truth. What do you think?

No way.

She only said to bring her the safe.

I think we should just steal

the whole thing.

OK. Got it.

But I need to find some help first.

No way.

Don't even think about ripping me off again.

Haven't you thought about redemption?

It has nothing to do with me.

I'm not even related to him.

Are you still thinking about threatening me with that thing?

I never threaten people.

I'm only wondering

if it was Feng Cong who did all those things.

Are you slandering him

just because he's your rival in love?

Shame on you!

You should think of it this way.

If someone made you lose all you reputation

and when you came back,

the love of your life had got married to someone else,

wouldn't you revenge?

All the strange things happened

after I married Wanqing.

That doesn't make sense.

Yes.

On the surface we're saving a jerk.

But this jerk

can prove the innocence of Fengyu.

Proving Fengyu's innocence

means saving a family.

A wife can have a husband to rely on

and a child can grow up with a father's company.

Isn't it nice?

You... why are you so close to me?

I... I refuse.

You two can handle it yourselves.

You don't need me.

What?

When did it happen?

When did what happen?

The thing between you and her.

What are you talking about?

Did you do it or not?

Stop talking about it in public.

If you have done it with her, I'm begging you

to turn to her for help.

This is not your first time doing this kind of things.

I can recall those from Mexico,

Thailand,

Vietnam... OK. Stop talking! Hush!

I'll try.

You promise me?

I'll try. I'll try.

Good.

You kept me company

just because you like me, didn't you?

I'm afraid you'll regret when you wake up tomorrow.

Why are you here?

Why can't I be here?

What are you doing?

Are you drinking?

Nope.

What's wrong?

Nothing. I'm fine.

What's wrong with you?

I have something

I haven't gotten the chance to tell you.

Feng Cong's back.

I just met him.

Did he give you an explanation

about what happened that year?

He told me a little.

What's wrong?

You don't have to worry so much.

I did fantasize the picture of us meeting again

for several times.

I have been looking for him for a long time.

So I thought

I may have a hundred questions and complaints

for him.

But when that time comes,

all of them disappeared.

Wanwan.

What's wrong?

I know you're worried about me.

I'm afraid I might go back to the darkest time.

But

look at me now.

I'm doing great now.

I'm living a positive life.

Right?

I don't know since when,

when you have difficulties

or trouble,

if you don't come to me to complain,

I would feel down,

thinking that you don't need me anymore.

Nonsense.

Then I found out that

I was feeling down because of myself.

You grew up.

You became stronger.

Stronger than I could ever imagine.

Instead, I've gone no further.

I really have no idea what you're talking about.

We grew up together.

We don't need to care about who needs whom.

No matter what,

we will always be best friends forever.

We're family.

I'm really finding

the three fingers thing quite tasty.

I do miss the taste if I don't have it for several days.

That night... That night we both got wasted.

So afterwards... How did you go back that day?

When I woke up the next morning I got the biggest headache.

So I remembered nothing.

I see.

Well.

That day, after seeing that you got wasted and asleep,

I settled you down

and called a taxi to drive me home.

So is the thing I told you this morning

really impossible?

Yep.

We came to you because we trusted you.

Do you know that?

I don't need your trust.

Liu Qing

has been through so much pain you could never imagine.

After all those painful experiences,

he thought he could never

and didn't deserve to be like everyone else

to have those beautiful and happy things.

Even if they came to him,

he would still push them away

or even destroy them.

Even he himself has never found out that

he has been destroying his life

unconsciously.

Actually I really want him to know

he can.

Even if I don't like his life choices

or don't agree with him that much,

I still want to support him.

If something happens to him,

I would still help him.

It's the same with Fengyu.

I just hope

I can help them

return to a quiet life as soon as possible.

This is where I work in usual.

Look at there.

I have a lot of fine wines in my collection.

Red wine, champagne, Whiskey...

I have all the years.

If you like them, you're welcome here any time you want.

Have a seat first.

I'll pour you a glass of red wine.

Are you even in a rush or not?

You mean...

This is the ichnography of the Mu's mansion.

The safe is in the study of President Mu.

From three to five in the afternoon every day...

Grandma would take a nap.

Miss Lin will go back to her room

to watch TV after lunch.

As it happens, tomorrow afternoon

Uncle Mu has a golf date with Uncle Quan.

Great. Then that's our time for action.

What on earth is in that safe?

We don't know, either.

You don't know?

You dare to give it to the gangsters not knowing what's inside?

Relax.

We will get it back then

and save the hostages.

Then we'll put the safe back without anyone knowing.

That's easy for you to say.

Then what should I do?

You're going to get Grandma Lin's fingerprint

and cover for Liu Qing at the same time.

He is surely going to make a noise when he moves the safe.

So I need you to draw everyone's attention from him.

What you told me to do are all kind of hard.

Are you sure I'll be capable to do them all?

Yes, you can.

Give yourself free rein.

Can I have a glass of wine? She'll have the same. Thanks.

OK.

Nope. I still have to drive home.

Give me a glass of sparkling water.

OK.

Please wait a minute.

Do you still remember here?

Yes.

I used to come here to celebrate with Jundie.

I remember there was this one Valentine's Day

when I bought a bottle of wine to celebrate together with you.

You told me to

not open it

until the day when we get married.

I suppose you still have that bottle of wine?

Excuse me. Here's your sparkling water.

Thanks.

So is this your new trick?

Taking me to a place where I used to come

in order to remind me of all the memories we once had?

Could you please not think of me like that?

I just wanted to find a place

where we're both familiar with

so that we could have a nice talk.

This is the lawyer I found for you.

What do you mean?

We have lawyers in the company.

You misunderstood me.

This is a divorce lawyer.

A divorce lawyer?

I just think that Liu Qing

looks like a lot of trouble.

So I specially found this Lawyer Li for you.

He's very famous.

He is an expert in this kind of cases.

You don't have to worry about him.

When did I ever tell you I'm getting a divorce?

Are you...

Are you seriously willing to spend your whole life

with someone like him?

What do you mean by 'someone like him'?

What kind of man is he?

You saw it yourself, didn't you?

He has a tendency towards violence.

Don't you think that if you're with someone like him.

You wouldn't feel safe?

You've only met him twice

and spoken a few words with him

for just a few minutes.

Why do you just assume that

he is the kind of man you think he is?

Then is the time you have spent with him

longer than the time you spent with me?

I know the reason why you got married.

I let you down.

You got so mad that you agreed to

get married even though you were forced to.

I know now you're still not able to accept me.

I mean nothing else.

I just want an opportunity to have an equal competition with him.

I know. Whatever I do now

could all be thought wrong by you.

But if it was you,

think about it,

would you be willing to see the one you love

get married to someone

who's so weird and odd?

Just tell me.

Are you even happy?

Feng Cong.

Dad.

Uncle Mu.

It's been a long time.

Uncle Quan.

How could you still have the nerve to come back?

Dad.

We're only talking about business.

What business?

We have no business to talk about with him and his family.

Go home!

Uncle Mu.

Just go home and calm down.

Take care.

Miss Wang!

Jundie, you came!

I'm here to see grandma.

Here are the fruits I bought for her.

Grandma's taking an afternoon nap.

Then I'll go in and wait for her.

Go ahead.

Have a seat first.

I'll make you some tea.

OK. OK.

Why is the person who watches TV not here?

Because we're too lucky.

My mother-in-law is out today.

I'm curious how you would do it.

None of your business.

OK.

If Lei Shuo believes you,

I'll believe you as well.

Team A is ready.

Team B is ready.

Can we not be so childish?

Team C is also ready.

Let's move.

Team C is already on the way.

Team B is ready to reinforce.

Wanqing.

Team C has finished the appointed task.

Team B is ready to act.

Wait. Wait.

Stop action.

Your wife's back.

Cancel the task for the time being.

Quan.

Why would Weikai Group

send that brat over here?

I have no idea.

Otherwise why would I call you?

I was feeling a bit weird

How's your free rein project?

Not so well.

I wanna fold.

Don't.

We're just getting started. Call it.

You should warn Wanqing.

Feng Yue is not someone

we want to make contact with.

Maoyuan will also not do business with him.

We haven't got to the last card.

We don't know who's going to win.

I call.

I fold.

So soon?

You only have two and a half hours left.

I'll fold now.

Two thousand.

I'll give you five hundred more.

You didn't tell us

because you're afraid I might get worried.

You did have some hesitation, didn't you?

Grandma.

I...

I know.

He's still the man you used to love.

He can't just suddenly become a total stranger, can he?

How about...

How about let your father

and Uncle Quan deal with the cooperation this time?

Grandma.

I can take care of it.

You should trust me.

I've never doubted you on this.

It's just that

I'm afraid that Liu Qing would get too jealous.

Grandma.

Why is life so complicated?

Some things are clearly in the past.

But they would still come in your way without you even knowing.

That's what make it fun.

Silly.

Excuse me. I need to use the bathroom.

Team D.

Team D is in position.

Team B.

Team B is in position.

There's a change of plan.

Start Plan B.

Starting Plan B.

Start acting in 30 seconds.

20 seconds.

Team C, get ready to stall the target on the first floor.

What are you doing?

Why are you knocking on the desk? You look absent-minded.

I'm OK.

15 seconds left.

I'm fine.

I'm here. I'm here.

I'm sorry to keep you waiting.

Why were you in the bathroom for such a long time?

I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Here. Here. Here.

Hurry. Are you going to fold or not?

This round... Are you going to fold?

10 seconds.

I need to do it big.

5 seconds.

What... Why is it so dark?

Why is there no electricity?

Why is the electricity out?

What happened?

What happened to you?

What are you doing?

Stress reaction.

Team C, you were a little bit exaggerated.

Why is the electricity out all of a sudden?

I'm scared!

We should call the real estate to take a look.

Wanqing, don't run about.

Father, I'll go down there to check if it is trip.

OK. I'll call the real estate.

Team C, stall Mu Wanqing.

Where are you going?

I left my phone on the second floor charging.

I need to get my phone. We have light here.

Look. Uncle Quan has the flashlight.

Let's just sit tight. So dark. Hello? Is it the real estate?

Well, the electricity just went out in my house.

Could you please send someone to take a look as soon as possible?

OK. Thanks.

Where's the flashlight on my phone?

I can't seem to find it.

Uncle, let me help you. Let me help you.

Flashlight...

My phone is... I opened the camera by accident.

Liu Qing has gone down there for so long.

He must be not working it out.

Should we go take a look?

You don't have to be so nervous.

Successful validation.

There's an information blocker.

Check the safe

if it has an automatic restart device.

You jinx!

The rest is all on your own.

Remember. Turn off the power,

unplug all the cables

and then plug them all back in.

But you should do it all no more than 30 seconds.

If you do it for more than 30 seconds, the alarm will go off.

Come on.

Team D, give me some interference.

Copy.

I was wondering why the electricity went out.

It must be the neighbor who turned off our switch

when they were trying to turn off theirs.

Oh, is that so?

Time is almost up.

Are you done?

Ten seconds left.

Wanqing.

Do you know where the earphones are?

Grandma needs some music to help her sleep.

I have one in the study.

I'll go get it.

Wanqing, I'll go take a look, too.

Why are you both leaving?

I'll also go keep Wanqing company.

Targets are on the move.

One is heading the garage and the other is heading the study.

Team D, start moving.

OK. I'm on my way.

Uncle. Uncle. I'll go with her.

OK.

When can we have electricity back?

What's wrong?

Nothing. I just sprained my ankle.

Is your ankle OK?

I should go upstairs myself.

I'm OK. I'll just go slowly.

It's so dark. Don't run about.

It's OK. Come on. Come on in.

Be careful not to bump into things.

Don't bump into things. Hold my...

Did you hear anything?

No.

Liu Qing.

Liu Qing.

I'm coming.

Mr. Mu. Good evening. Hello, hello.

I'm the security of the real estate.

The electricity went out?

Yeah. It just suddenly went dark.

We're so sorry.

May I come in and give it a check?

Come. Come in please.

Could you please tell me where the security control panel is?

Let me see.

Here. In the back.

This. Is this it?

Let me take a look.

The electricity's back!

Then let's go back.

Let's go.

If there's nothing else, I'll go first.

Sorry for the trouble.

It's our problem.

Mr. Mu, good night.

OK.

Thanks.

Hi. We got a message that

there's some problems with the electricity in Mr. Mu's house.

We're here to give it a check.

There were some problems.

But it's fixed.

We have the power already.

You are...

I'm Mu Wanqing's friend.

Is Mr. Mu home?

Well...

They're all resting now.

I'm sorry

for the trouble.

It's OK. Then I'll leave first.

Get the thing. Leave now.

Hello?

You got it?

Where's the hostage?

Twelve o'clock.

I'll send you a location.

Come alone.

OK.

Lion, you're here.

Give me the thing.

Where are they?

Give me the thing. I'm asking you for the hostages.

Open the door.

You will pay for this.

You, too.

Good luck.

Time waits for no men.

Handle this. Don't forget to call the police.

OK.

Get up.

How are you feeling?

I'm OK.

Who are you? Why are you saving me?

Because Wu Fengyu is being suspected of

having killed five of your companions.

He is now in the police station.

Head is under arrest?

About the password to the safe in the old mansion.

Do you know it?

[Charity Donation Plan Agreement]

[Unknown]

Hello?

Lion.

I forgot to tell you that

I also want you to know

what it feels like to lose someone you love.

Mi. Gua.

Are you home?

I'm back.

[Next Episode]

What's your relationships with these two people?

Friends.

Do you know these two?

Don't do this next time.

We got a problem.

Don't come yet.

Wanqing may be in danger at any time.

Sir, drive faster.
