I have a warrant for your arrest for the
murder of... James McCandlish, an

eminent advocate, is arrested and
charged with murdering his wife.

He chooses Greg McDowell to represent
him.

Greg's domestic life is being enlivened
by his involvement with Sarah Thompson,

the music student.

The high -profile case is welcomed by
Catherine Dunbar, who is still

to raise the image of the firm.

To this end, she instructs Archie
Hoseason to prepare a radio

Lucas, in trying to avoid being
captured, is killed.

DCI Smith is suspended.

McCandlish, when arrested, confessed
openly and surprised Greg by giving him

copies of his confession tapes.

The confession tapes were made to DCI
Smith.

McCandlish now changes his plea.

He's lying.

Maybe, but it's a damn good defence.

He told us weeks ago that he disposed of
the body and attacked it. He smashed

the head open.

No body, no problem.

McCandlish is guilty.
