first annual Legacy Bowl

here in beautiful Katy Hills, Georgia,

where it's the number one
great defending champions,

the Southpoint Raiders of California

versus the number two ranked,
the Bulldogs of Kentucky

out of Highland State.

Now, both teams come in undefeated

but only one will leave
here today victorious.

And alongside me, the
man who holds the record

for most TD receptions in a
single season, Andre Axel,

an alumnus of Highland State.

And for those of you who just tuned in,

it was a superb and balanced
first half in terms of stats.

Southpoint rallying late
to tie the game at 21 all.

Statistically it's been a balanced game.

Highland State more that grind it out

in your face type of offense.

And on the other hand,
you have Southpoint,

a team that likes to spread
the field and air the ball out

to their deep threat wide out Carey Drake.

Now, Alonzo Scott has already passed

for 200 yards in the first half
and rushed for 60.

For the Bulldogs of Highland State,

Lamont King has rushed for
99 yards on a rolled ankle

that he suffered two weeks ago

in the semi-finals against Rutherford.

Andre, there are so many
stories and story lines

that make this title game so amazing.

Raymond Bell, that 5 foot 8
quarterback for the Bulldogs.

A walk on in his 6th year.

They call him the old man.

And has led this 1
team to the title game.

Yeah, a lot of teams
passed up on Raymond Bell

because of his height.

But Raymond Bell is an
example of what hard work,

perseverance, and
believing one self can do.

And he does not have any
plans on going to the pros,

instead he plans on joining the military

and serving his country when he graduates.

Fine young man this Raymond Bell is.

And let us now forget the
most explosive freshman

running back in college football
today, Bo James Christian,

who just recently
tragically lost his mother

in a car accident and
could not make the trip.

Our thoughts and prayers go
out to the Christian family.

What a tough situation
for this young man

to be going through.

I'm sure his team mates are all playing

with heavy hearts today.

and will capitalize and
make you pay for mistakes.

Tough break for the Bulldogs of Kentucky.

as the Bulldogs find

As for Southpoint, no injuries to report.

At this point, the Bulldogs
need to remain poised

and not lose focus.

I know Coach Papa Jones and his staff

mentally for this situation.

The Bulldogs are going to
have to figure out a way

to create some offense without
the help of Lamont King.

The Raiders are too good right now.

Their offense is kicking on all cylinders.
