matched the rest of the home

because that could have taken
that dark green

that they had because those curtains
are divine that match magnolias

that's jarring for me is that that
colour isn't quite grey enough

or quite yellow enough.

You had two greens on the wall

I remember in walkarounds

and you were choosing
the lighter one, were you?

'Cause I had a deeper green for the
curtains and I didn't want it to...

And Darren Palmer agreed with her
on this point

but he thinks the rest of the colour
palette in the room is superb.

Talking about colour, look at that
magnificent marble table.

It's beautiful.

It's hot.

It's sexy.

Looking around at the finishes

and Darren thinks the execution is
very good.

They've chosen well with the skirts

and arcs and all the wainscoting
and cornicing.

It's not easy to get
the right proportion

and the right scale, the
right detail to fit your house.

But it's really appropriate
what they've done.

And he reckons that anybody
who has ever had to feed a child

while they go to sleep will
appreciate that big comfy chair.

Neale was still looking up.

We have become used to seeing
botanical prints used

throughout interior decor schemes in
the last few years and normally,

you would expect to see it
on the wall

and it would have been beautiful
on the wall

but it's so clever to
think of putting it on the ceiling.

And that's another thing that
I associate with this couple.

They always seem to put a little
twist in.

A little spin on the norm
each week which I love.

What Neale was appreciating
even more,

however, was the multifunctionality
of the room.

Given that the master bedroom is
literally just across there,

how lovely to have this as a private
little sitting room

that turns the master bedroom into
almost like a lifestyle suite.

Shaynna thinks your listing
should say

'nursery slash master sitting room'.

They had the smallest
master bedroom

out of all
of all of the properties

so that could actually help them

with navigating that selling
the dream of a win.

I think the thing is about Tom

and Sarah Jane's rooms they always
make me smile

and there's a lot to smile about
in here and it doesn't feel rushed.

It feels like perfection
with a few imperfections.

And as usual,
your attention to detail

has resulted
in a very successful room

and a very good start today
for the judges.

into demolition.

This was our second biggest room
of the house

and it actually ended up
bigger than we thought.

and so good for a young

Shaynna was also a bit disappointed
not to have found a light switch

by the bed and thinks it could use
another power point.

If you're gonna have bunks there

and they're going to grow with it,

they're going to want a lamp

because there is no double switch
to turn this light off

so you have to jump out of bed
and all you've got is a nightlight.

Darren was very taken by your room
this week too.

He was impressed with all
of the furniture choices.

Very kid-friendly and friendly
on the budget too.

There's lots of flatpack,

there's lots of pretty basic stuff

and I think
that's really appropriate

if you're doing a children's room

because they grow out of things.

Neale was seeing a lot of warmth
and love in this room.

their world revolves around
their kids and you can feel it.

All of a sudden, in here,
we have this beautifully executed

I really like the cornicing.

Again, I love that rose.

The colour palette in here is
beautiful.

The wainscoting,
that regency profile,

the skirts
and I love that wallpaper.

I just think wallpaper and these
sconces and all the rattan details,

it just plays to something that's
really light and fresh and fun.

But Shaynna wasn't so sure about
the fox on the wall

hunting down the rabbit
on the other wall.

The sort of stuff
kids' nightmares are made of.

Yeah. It is that.

Apart from that, she said she was
feeling the love in this room.

Neale thinks it's a charming room.

I feel that Ankur and Sharon really
knew what they were doing

with this room.

I'm not sensing that sort of slight
lack of direction,

the likes of rabbit in the
headlights that I felt in some of...

I felt that their rooms have been
overwhelming them.

Of course, this is a small room

so they've got the intimacy
of scale here

but at the same time, it feels
like they came in here

with a very clear idea of what they
wanted to do

and I think they've nailed it.

The wardrobe colour is perfect for
the palette of the room

and very nicely styled internally.

Oh, cute.

There's a little farmyard in there.

I reckon there's going to be a
shortage of kids' toys in Victoria.

I want them to know
I love what they've done here.

I love their room

but I'm really fearful

of their consistency throughout the
house of this knitting altogether.

that could easily be restyled as
an older person's room once again.

Making it multifunctional
for the eventual buyer.

This feels like the first room that
Ankur and Sharon have created

that's got really broad appeal.

And delivers some of the best
selling of the dream

from House Three thus far.

Wow.

Secondary TV room.

They noted the TV is quite close
to the sofa.

Pretty in your face TV
sitting there though.

But in checking it out, it works.

It's close but that size screen
that close is gigantic.

So that's awesome.

I think the only thing is, though,
it can't be adapted to a bedroom

if you want to in the future

without taking out
all the cabinetry.

I mean with those doors, with these
cabinets, with that fireplace,

it is what it is.

It's either going to be a
home office or a sitting room.

But by doing this, you have made

a very definitive decision

to present your home
as a four-bedroom house.

Whereas your neighbours are all
going to market

with a five-bedroom home.

The problem I'm having is
that we all know

that there is very, very generous
work from-home-space coming up

a couple of weeks from now.

That's in the plans
for all of these houses

so that box has been well
and truly ticked

so this house doesn't really need

another home office
necessarily here.

So...

Is this the best use of the space?

And while some of the other
kids' rooms

they've seen today could be restyled
as either an adult bedroom

or a sitting room,

this room is very much fitted out
as a TV viewing room

and can't be easily repurposed.

I think...
I think this is a mistake.

What do people do
when they come to visit you?

They don't go home.

No, they come and stay the night.

You need guest bedrooms.

So if you've got a family here

and your children and you have two

like a second living room either.

This is really only a room in which
you can come and watch a movie.

and sit and read a book.

He thinks it's a room that has shot
itself in the foot.

It's also a room that isn't
oozing identity

and personality like the
other four rooms they'd seen today.

That feels very bare to me.

It's like demonstrating that this is
a kind of useless waste of space.

Because it is so empty.

Shaynna thanks the wall of cabinetry
is probably unnecessary.

I think, if they didn't have that
cabinetry there,

and they had a couch that was
a pull-out couch,

that would make it a lot better.

That could be guest accommodation
slash entertainment room.

And Neale was wondering about
some of the styling.

Why the bunnies everywhere?

That's not a kids' room.

It doesn't work.

But there is still...

It's very strange.

Look over there in that corner.

We are staring right
at the biggest one of all.

And why the games?

So this is a games room?

I don't know.

It's sending out the weirdest

And the print on the wall,

as nice as it is, doesn't suit the
rest of the styling or furnishing.

It's not that I don't like
the print.

I think it's the wrong print
for this house and for this room.

The judges all think the room
you have presented today

is nicely detailed,

nicely finished with a great TV,
great fireplace.

Even the drapery and the curtain rod
are good choices.

But it doesn't add more

to my perception of the value
of this house.

And that's what all rooms need to do
in a real estate competition.

Shaynna honestly now thinks you have
two redo rooms to do.
