So today I'm going to hack my own
popcorn popper using a soda can and

have a microwavable hack. Brown paper
bag.

Ready to start?

Yeah. I'm going to fill it with a
handful of popcorn kernels into the bag.

Fold two, three times.

Okay, two minutes, 30 seconds.

Great. The first step in my hack is to
cut a hole in the side of the can. This

will allow the kernels to pop out. All
right, I'm going to crack open some oil

If you don't have a knife handy, you can
use dental floss to cut slices of soft

cheese.

Use dental floss to separate warm
cookies from a baking sheet if you don't

Tie a piece of floss around bunches of
herbs and hang them up to dry.

String several feet of dental floss
between two stationary objects for a

A piece of floss works well to clean

because she covered the soul with a

so follow her lead and pack like a pro.

We've assembled three real butlers to
help me find out whether or not ketchup,

lemon juice, or toothpaste work just as
well as regular silverware polish.

The butlers will be executing the hacks,
and I will be evaluating them in this

highly civilized...

I have never felt more underdressed in
my life. Gentlemen, thank you for

The first hack involves lemon juice and
salt. Dixon, how do you feel about this

mixture here?

Well, in this particular instance, using
the lemon juice and the salt to break

the tarnish would be great.

It's almost like dealing with the normal
silver polish. The toothbrush actually

with the ketchup? Smells delicious.

It's not working as quickly as I would
have liked. As we like to say, time

juice?

You don't think that's getting any
better? I think if I had gotten to this

point, I would definitely have pulled

I believe I am, sir. And it looks like
the toothpaste is done. We'll call that

done as well.

Let's see the results now. Start with
the fourth.

Okay.

The clear winner, in my opinion, is
toothpaste.

The speed of the hack, it got everything
so shiny.

Toothpaste and a toothbrush is a
phenomenal replacement for polish. It

make a little bit of a mess, but that's
okay. I mean, they look the best.

Followed by ketchup.

And then just behind is going to be
lemon juice and salt. But why?

Breaking down the ham.

You would need about 20 lemons for the
citric acid to be useful against

silverware tarnish.

And salt?

Well, that can actually cause silverware
to corrode. So when paired together,

they're an ineffective pair.

Ketchup contains vinegar, which is made
of acidic acid and can be found in many

cleaning products.

Fortunately, in small doses, acidic acid
is minimally effective against tarnish.

Toothpaste contains hydrated silica, a
chemical compound that acts as an

abrasive to remove plaque from teeth.

It binds to the tarnish and breaks it
down, allowing for the toothbrush to

remove it altogether.

The worst part about getting a manicure
is waiting for that fresh coat of nail

polish to dry, which can take up to 15
minutes.

Allegedly, there's a hack that speeds up
the process. So let's find out if it

works in this hack experiment.

And you are all done.

Cool. All right. What you need to see if
this hack works is a freshly painted

hand. I've got two of them. And you need
a bowl of ice water.

Apparently, you just submerge your
fingers into the ice water for three

and it will set. Here's the tough part.
Let's do it. Have you heard of this

Here's how to hack your fridge.

Toss your old copies of Hustler and use
your old magazine storage racks to

organize your freezer.

Try stuffing newspapers in the doors and
the drawers to absorb unpleasant odor.

Now, plastic wrap can save your meatloaf
for a week and your refrigerator
