aiming to complete three spaces
this week

and two of them are wet areas,

tackling their guest bedroom,
bathroom, and a powder room.

Schedules and organisation
is the key to the week.

So, stick to your planning,

SCOTT: Now, that they're working
in the new extension of their house,

they're going to bring
some more contemporary elements

to their design.

The guest bedroom will feature
wallpaper

and a modern fourposter bed.

The bathroom walls will be lined
with a mustard coloured tile

and include a wooden vanity
and generous shower area,

and the powder room will feature
a smoky blue Grafico wallpaper

and a blue-grey finger tile.

Easy done. We're pretty much done.

So, last night, Sarah-Jane
and I stayed up till 1:00

doing insulation,
double insulating everything.

Worked our asses off to get ahead.

Ready for plaster tomorrow
morning at 7:00 AM.

My biggest concern
out of having to do two rooms

is that we won't finish.

and the least amount of experience,

Ankur and Sharon
are up against it each week

and it's taken a toll
on them and their build team

who aren't happy with the amount
of effort they've been putting in.

The morale of the team,
it feels a little low.

We've had to have tricky
conversations with the builders

in the last two weeks.

Basically, they expect us to do

potentially more than we are capable
of in my opinion.

I know that you said to Anks

that when I get back
from doing things,

I don't lift a finger
and I am offended by that.

who are all talking about
the problems at house three.

problems with their builders.

in the renovation game,

so they're kind of green
in all aspects of construction.

I don't know what communication
they're having with their builder.

They just need to do
a lot of thinking

and make sure they're all

It's a long 12 weeks to start
feeling like they're hard done by.

We are trying.

They've definitely got the biggest
house, we've got the most demo,

our rooms are like twice the size
of everyone else,

so we kind of just have
to work harder.

We have a heaps bigger house
and a bigger job,

harder for that alone.

you can only do so much

and that's what we're doing,
we're not sitting on our arses.

and while some teams
have been struggling

with the challenge
of doing two rooms...

There's so much to do.

Omar and Oz are oozing confidence.

Make sure every hole's done.

Two rooms is very, very easy
at the moment for us.

We are going to plan
with exactly what we want.

We're in a good spot.

two bathroom reveals,

it's no surprise that these guys

are feeling pretty comfortable

so pressure is up.

It's very important to stay
consistent throughout.

they're planning a big walk-in
shower with built-in bench seat,

and contemporary colour palette.

And their guest bedroom
will include a bench seat,

study nook and loads of storage
throughout.

We're going to go for more modern
kind of feel for the new part,

so I think we are going to find
ourselves back up there again.

fix the hedges, mow the lawns,
and cross the finish line

with everything packed neatly
into your green garden bags.

So, stage two is racing back here

and selecting a topiary tree
to shape.

Now, choose wisely because some
are much easier than others.

They selected a pair of small bushes

and had to shape them
into two identical cones.

I have a newfound respect for John.

And anybody that likes to topiary
in their spare time.

It's actually - like so much work
goes into this.

It's crazy.

So, these guys were the first team
finished

down there in the race lanes

and they chose what I imagine

would be one of the simpler ones
to do.

You're correct, yes.

It's the easiest to cut

but what you have to try and do
is balance it

because they actually started out

with two separately sized shrubs,
et cetera.

We thought if we impress him

with a basic spiral shape,

John warned that it would be

the most challenging one
to complete.

I think they've made
a pretty good fist of it.

They've done an excellent
job of it.

I'm really surprised
at how well they have done it.

With sharp tools, it's really easy
to gouge out big chunks.

And they haven't.
