hypocrisy, how some harmful addictive

alcohol and nicotine provide profit for
multinational businesses and vast

taxation revenues for the government.

They see the law being brought into
disrepute.

A law that says, well, it's legal to buy
cannabis, but illegal to sell.

They hear our lies.

And they lose respect for us.

personally, I've never been tempted to
smoke cannabis.

And if I did, I probably wouldn't
inhale.

But no matter how toxic hemp redness is
to the human system, it cannot compare

to the toxic effects... a black market
drugs economy has on all our lives.

I propose to take that illegal money out
of those blood -stained hands

and put it where it belongs, in the
hands of a marginally less criminal

organization,

the government.

I will do this by licensing the sale of
cannabis through registered outlets,

by taxing and controlling its
distribution and supply.

I propose to take those billions out of
the hands of the dealers and return them

to all of us.
