JAKE: First thing that I thought
when I woke up this morning,

it's like, "Oh, here we go."

I'm excited I made it this far.

I had to go into overtime
a few times to get here,

but that just gave me
more experience,

and to be honest with you,
it made me more comfortable

And I'm gonna keep battling
until the end.

-Good morning, everyone.
-CONTESTANTS: Good morning.

[indistinct chatter]

Final four,
standing in front of me.

Three Savage Crew,

one Dirty Hands.

By the end of the day,
someone will be punching out.

Does anybody have experience

working with an excavator?

-I work on them every day.
-Okay.

When the work whistle blows,

you will get into your excavator

and pick up
one of these steel balls

and place it on top of one
of these vertical pipes.

Get out of your excavator,

run over
to the pile of concrete bags,

and load ten bags

onto that far pallet.

Go back to your excavator,
load up the second ball,

back to the pallet,
pick up 15 bags,

load it onto the pallet.

After you balance
that third and final ball,

grab 20 bags and load them up

-onto this closed pallet.
-Mm.

-[whoops]
-All right.

We're gonna run this
in two heats.

If you win your heat,
you will automatically

go into the final three.

If you lose,
you go into overtime.

Fastest time today,

$10,000.

[cheering]

Mister, since you won
the last individual competition,

you get to pick the first nail
out of the bucket

to figure out the pairings.

-Oh.
-Oh, golly.

Okay, you have a marked nail.

Jorge.

Ooh, different heat.

Larron, you got the decider.

Time to find out.

-LARRON: Mister, all right.
-KEOGHAN: Going up

Jake, that means you will be
up against Jorge.

to see some competition?

get in your excavators.

JORGE: Early on,
I underestimated Jake,

but I'm not gonna
do it again.

He has a lot of life skills
and experience

and he has crazy endurance.

But I'm ready
for this challenge,

and I'm not gonna back down.

Jorge, he's won
multiple challenges already.

He keeps on getting
better and better,

so he's definitely a threat,
but I'm gonna bring it.

We're gonna leave nothing
on the table.

[work whistle blows]

-[whoops]
-ALY: All right,
let's go, Jorge.

KEOGHAN: Jake the first
to get above his steel ball.

Now he's got to manipulate
the steel ball

on top of the post.

JORGE: The controls
are really delicate.

Just the slightest touch
can throw it off.

I don't want to drop this
ball and lose a lot of time.

Jake's got to have
a gentle touch here.

-LAURA: Slow and steady.
-KEOGHAN: Oh!

JAKE: I work with
guys that are operators.

If I lose this,
I will never hear the end of it.

ALY:
Focus on you.

-Jorge with the balance.
-SERGIO: Yes, do it!

-Oh!
-KEOGHAN: Delicate touch.

[cheering]

And Jorge
with the first ball on.

Now he's gotta start
packing these bags of concrete.

Ten bags need to go
on this first pallet.

The son of a gun got it.
I got to move it now.

LAURA:
You got this, Jake!

KEOGHAN:
Jake gets the first ball on.

He's slightly behind,
running back to start

loading concrete bags.

This is a chance for him
to catch up.

Jorge has got to get ten.

You got this, Jorge, lets' go!

And he gets it done.

Back into his excavator.

JORGE:
Grabbing those concrete bags,

it's hard to catch your breath.

So when you hop back
in the excavator,

The key is to just
control your breathing

and do things very precise,

because, uh, you don't want
to make any mistakes.

Jake, he's loaded the ten bags.

His heart rate
will be through the roof.

RENEÉE: I've used
these excavators before,

and they're very sensitive.

Jorge doesn't have experience,

so for him

to pick up these controls

so quickly,
that is pretty impressive.

KEOGHAN:
Here comes Jorge.

Got to have a gentle touch here.

-Jorge gets his second ball on.
-Let's go, Jorge!

A gentle touch from Jake.

He has his second ball on.

Now he's got to start loading
15 bags of concrete

on his second pallet.

JAKE: I got to do something
to close this gap.

There's only one way to do this.

KEOGHAN: Jake going
with two bags at one time.

That's 120 pounds.

-You got this, Jake.
-Go!

JORGE:
The bags are 60 pounds apiece.

The first ten are pretty easy.

As you get to the 15th,
it's real heavy.

Puts a hole in your lungs.

KEOGHAN:
Oh, now it's got to be hurting!

ALY:
Let's go, Jorge!

KEOGHAN: Jorge has
one more ball to pick up!

[whoops]

Jake good with 15.

-[cheering, clamoring]
-Jorge has got a nice touch.

This is where Jake can't panic.

JAKE: You got to go fast
when the time comes.

And if you bring that speed
into that machine,

it ain't gonna work out,
I can tell you that right now.

It's the last ball.

He's still a little bit
ahead of me.

I can't lose this challenge.

KEOGHAN: Jake trying
to calm himself down.

-BETH: Take your time.
-Jorge is right on the edge.

-Ooh, it goes down!
-ALY: Focus!

-KEOGHAN: Oh!
-SERGIO: Just breathe!

-BETH: Focus!
-KEOGHAN:
Jake has his three balls on!

[all shouting, clamoring]

KEOGHAN: Do you want to be
in the final three?!

Jake has got
to get 20 bags on now.

Jorge is having trouble
with this last ball.

Keep moving, Jorge! You got it!

[clamoring, shouting]

KEOGHAN: Jorge gets that last
ball. He's out of his excavator.

Now it comes down
to 20 bags of concrete.

Jorge, you got to give it
everything you got!

He's five ahead!

JORGE: It's gonna be
a fight to the finish,

'cause Jake's
already loading bags,

but got to do
what I can to catch up.

KEOGHAN: Remember,
the fastest time here today

walks away with 10,000.

-[cheering, clamoring]
-Jorge is closing in the gap

if he can keep his pace!

-You got this, bro!
-JAKE: You get the first ten.

You're looking,
I still got ten more.

[shouting, clamoring]

My back's burning.

I'm completely exhausted.
I'm starting to see colors.

Jorge, you got this
if you can pick it up.

Jorge, he's got this fire
in his eyes, man.

Hopefully, our Dirty Hands
brother can pull this out today.

KEOGHAN:
Three bags left for Jake!

[cheering, clamoring]

with his last bag!

JAKE:
It's an incredible feeling.

Me against Jorge,
it was a hell of a battle.

I'm happy to come out
on top today.

Jake got me.

He started grabbing double bags

and he's a lot stronger than me,

so he was able to do it.

I'm feeling real gassed out.

But I got to save my energy
right now for overtime.

MISTER: I've never operated
this type of equipment.

So going up against Larron,
I feel kind of nervous

since he has more experience.

But my daddy always told me,

"Don't be afraid
to-to learn new things."

LARRON:
Going up against Mister,

I-I am a little bit nervous.

He's a fast learner.

And he's proved
more than once that he can

hang up there
with the best of them.

But I'm looking forward
to the competition against him.

On the work whistle.

-[work whistle blows]

ILIMA:
Let's go!

-JAKE: There you go, Larron!

-Good job, Larron.
-KEOGHAN: Larron coming back
with his first ball.

MISTER:
You have to grab this ball

working two different
controllers with a baby touch,

and this excavator is rumbling.

My stomach was rumbling, too,
I'm so nervous.

ALY:

[cheering, clamoring]

KEOGHAN:
Who will be the first

to get their ball on the end?

It's Larron!

Closely followed by Mister.

Whoa!

But Mister's quicker
out of his excavator!

Mister's already underway
with his first bag.

Larron's going with two
at a time onto his pallet.

He's got to get ten.

LARRON: Strategy
for moving concrete bags is

start with two bags
and make fewer trips.

I dead lift on a good basis,
and so lifting the bags

isn't necessarily the hardest,
but it's

holding them
while you're moving.

KEOGHAN:
Here comes eight for Larron!

MISTER:
I wanted to do one bag approach.

I mean, those 60-pound bags
are heavy.

My arms are burning.

Larron carrying two bags.

I'm already out of breath.
We're just running.

KEOGHAN:
Mister finished

his first pallet.
Ten from Larron.

-Unbelievable.
-[cheering]

Wow. Mister has his second ball
in the bucket.

-Let's go, Larron! There you go!
-ALY: Smooth!

-JAKE: Smooth operator.
-ILIMA: There you go!

Oh! What a delicate touch
from Mister!

Are you kidding?

Larron's got his second ball on!

-[yelling]
-15 bags of concrete

onto your second pallet!

Larron still going with doubles!

This is where their strength
and endurance kicks in.

-ILIMA: You got this, Larron!

-KEOGHAN: Wow.

-JAKE: Larron, be careful!

KEOGHAN:
Now Mister's going to doubles.

He knows he's got to do it.

Larron's coming with three bags
of concrete at one time!

LARRON:
It's 180 pounds.
It's more than I weigh.

But Mister is right there
neck and neck with me.

I'm not about to make

two more trips.

Larron's good with 15.

At the same time, Mister's good

with 15.

-Let's go, boys!

Back in for the last ball.

-Catch your breath, Larron!
-Larron has his ball in the claw

at the same time as Mister.

It could not be closer.

gonna come down to the bags,

if they can drop these balls
successfully.

Ooh! Larron drops his bucket!

SERGIO:

I was gonna come home

I have to make it

We have been through a lot
in the last several years.

They've weathered the storm.
You know, they've taught me

never quit. My goal is

that last spot
in the final three.

All right. Your job today,

when that work whistle blows,

is you'll be using jackhammers
to remove

metal stakes
from three concrete blocks

which get progressively bigger
and more difficult.

The first of you

to get all three stakes out
of the concrete

and put 'em on the rack

will go into the final three
along with Mister and Jake.

If you finish last,
you'll be punching out.

-Get to your jackhammers.
Let's get it done.
-Come on, guys.

Let's go!

Time to get to work.

-[work whistle blows]
-Go, go, go!

-LAURA: There you go, Larron.
-KEOGHAN:
They're both breaking away

the front corner.

ALY:
Hey, let's go, Jorge!

LARRON: I install hydraulic
breakers, so I'm going to apply

that knowledge today
with the jackhammer,

-which is very similar.
-ILIMA: Let's go, Larron!

LARRON:
I start going from one edge in.

Maybe I can break off chunks
as I go.

Focus on you. There you go!

-SERGIO: Hammer down!
-ALY: Hey, let's go, Jorge.

This overtime challenge
is in my wheelhouse,

but Larron's a tough competitor.

He's moving fast.
He's getting it done.

And we both have
the same approach.

-It's anybody's game right now.
-SYNETHIA: They have to hit

this concrete with jackhammers.

We just was looking like,

"Oh, this is gonna be all day."

[laughs]

KEOGHAN:
Jorge has broken the concrete

all the way up to his spike.

-Larron's done the same thing.
-Let the tool do the work!

KEOGHAN: The last job was
all about strength and skill.

This is about technique.

-Oh!
-Go, Jorge!

KEOGHAN:
That is a big chunk.

-Jorge has exposed that spike.
-LARRON: I'm not breaking off

as big of chunks as I hoped.
You know, seeing

how long going
from the outside in is taking,

I wanted to see

if I can break up
around the middle

and loosen up the stake
as I go down.

KEOGHAN:
Larron's pulling the debris

-out of the way as he goes.
-LAURA: Come on, Larron!

Let's go, buddy!

-ELLERY:
There you go! There you go!
-ALY: Yeah, Jorge! That's it!

JORGE:
I get a big chunk

of concrete off.

I see the first stake

-and I pull on it.
-KEOGHAN: Oh!

-Jorge goes back.
-JORGE: I fall flat on my butt.

But, you know what,
I got that stake out

and that's all that mattered
to me.

KEOGHAN:
Jorge with the first spike,

moving on to the second block
of concrete.

-Come on! Keep it moving.
-Larron still trying
to get that first spike out.

Larron going deep.

He's come to a standstill.
Oh, disaster.

Larron's jackhammer
is stuck in the block.

-RENEÉE: Come on, Larron!
-KEOGHAN: The first of you
to remove three stakes

from your concrete blocks will
make it into the final three

with Mister and Jake.

-Jorge has the lead.
-JAKE: Larron,
come on. Don't get it stuck.

-KEOGHAN:
Larron's jackhammer is stuck.
-RENEÉE: Come on, Larron!

KEOGHAN:
That Tough As Nailstitle
is on the line.

-[grunts]
-RENEÉE: There you go!
There you go, Larron!

[cheering]

Larron gets his first stake.

Moving on to the second.

JAKE:
Come on, Larron. Pick it up.

KEOGHAN:
Larron is determined to use

the same method
for the second stake.

LARRON: I got the first stake
out going down in the middle

with the jackhammer,
so I'm gonna try to apply that

to my second stake.

It really comes down
to strategy.

I may try several
different strategies.

KEOGHAN:
Big chunks coming off for Jorge

on his second block of concrete.

He's exposed the second spike.

-Come on, Larron! Faster!
-ELLERY: Come on, Jorge!

-There you go!
-There you go! Come on!
-That's it! Let's go, Jorge!

ELLERY:
Okay, let's go, let's go!

KEOGHAN:
Two stakes in for Jorge!

He has one more to go!

-LAURA:
Let's go, let's go, let's go!
-KEOGHAN: Oh!

Larron gets his second one!

Oh, he's going to the outside!

Come on, Larron!

KEOGHAN:
Larron breaks the center,

exposing the stake.

This is driving me nuts.
He can get it stuck.

-KEOGHAN: And now looks like
Jorge is stuck.
-ALY: Let's go!

ILIMA:
Don't stop! Keep going!

My jackhammer gets stuck.
I just need to stay calm.

Come on, Jorge! Let's go!

JORGE: We're here to win
some money for our families.

You know,
we're not gonna back down.

-Don't stop, Larron! Come on!
-Dig deep! Dig deep!

KEOGHAN: Larron's on
the other side of his stake now.

If he can get this concrete
to crack a certain way,

he could catch up.

LARRON:

You can pass out later, but now
it's time to give it everything.

-JAKE: Yeah!

KEOGHAN: Ah, Jorge's
jackhammer's broken free.

-LAURA: Keep digging!

off his concrete block!

He grabs the third stake

and Jorge gets the win!

-[whooping]

It's been a lot

of hard work from day one,
from Catalina to now,

and a lot of emotion. And...

and I gained one.

You know? It touches me,

you're in your head a lot.

I had to realize I had
to step back in a lot of cases.

things through in order

to win some
of these competitions.

There ain't nothing finer
than a pipeliner!

Back to Catalina,
I was picked last.

Now it's down to three of us.

I need to take what I've learned
and then apply it

to the task and, hopefully,
it's a winning combination.

Sometimes we think speed,
speed, speed, speed, speed.

But sometimes it's about, you
know, just steady precision.

I do get in my head a lot.

Oh, my lord.

I'll just take it one challenge
at a time.

I don't have to focus
on the end result.

-And I smell that money.
-[laughter]

So I need to focus
on being in the present

and working that out.

Use all my fast skills,
my listening skills,

my paying attention skills.

where I was going to end up

And then the first overtime
really humbled me.

I've learned a lot of things
being here on Tough As Nails.

Ever since my dad passed,
I kind of...

put a lid on my emotions, tried
to be strong for my family.

But as time went on, a lot
of emotion came and I just,

I couldn't hold myself back.

Planter boxes? What the heck?

Welcome to the gauntlet!

By the end of the day,
one of you will be

our Tough As Nailschampion.

A lot on the line today.

$200,000. That's a game changer.

So let me tell you
a little bit about the gauntlet.

Today you will be
facing challenges

that you have seen along your
journey here on Tough As Nails.

When the work whistle blows,
you'll be grabbing

one of those sledgehammers

and you'll be smashing
your way through these walls.

You got to get
these ten planter boxes

through the hole in the wall
to create some steps

to get up
on top of that container,

undo all those chains,
get those tires

off the container,
put the tires on the car

and go charging
right through that wall.

Get out of your car
and grab a grinder.

Use your grinder
to cut through the container.

That's where you will see
blocks of ice with a saw inside.

Smash the ice
until you get your saw out.

Use the saw to cut
2x4s to build

a ladder to get up on
top of another container.

Cut your way through two chains

holding those I-beams
on the container.

That'll cause the I-beam
to drop between

the containers,
creating a bridge

to the other container
where you will see

a big pile of knotted-up line.

Untangle it and start
spooling that line up,

pulling up both sides
of a rope ladder.

The rope ladder is
what takes you

up to the top of the container

where the Ford Super Duty is,
and grab that key fob.

The first of you to get
to that truck today's going home

with $200,000,

an all-new Ford Super Duty,

and the Tough As Nailsbelt.

[exclaiming]

Before we get started here,

to stack up his planter boxes.

Remember,
we've got to get ten here

to make the stairs to go up
on top of the next container.

Jorge has
all his planter boxes through.

So does Jake.

Rest when this is over, bro,

KEOGHAN:
Jake up on top of the container!

And Jorge going up.

One more planter box there
left for Mister.

Meanwhile, Jorge and Jake

almost through
getting their first tire.

Now goes Mister up and over!

[shouting, clamoring]

Jorge has his first tire undone!

Jake close to getting
his first one done.

As is Mister!

All three with one tire free.

[cheering]

And Mister the first
to get his second tire done!

Closely followed by Jake,
who's got two.

SERGIO:
There you go, Jorge!

KEOGHAN: Jorge gets
his second tire clear.

It is dead even.

You need these four tires
to get these cars going.

And Jorge is

the first to get
his third tire done.

He's moving on to the fourth.

Same time Mister gets his third.

And... Jake gets his third.

Dead even!

What are they thinking about
now?

Who is driving them?
Who is motivating them?

Fourth and final tire!

Jorge gets his fourth tire.

Jake has got all four done,
as well.

ILIMA:
You got this, you got this!

Let's go. Let's go.

BETH:
Let's go, let's go, let's go!

KEOGHAN: Mister still struggling
with that fourth tire.

He's got some catching up to do.

This is taking a lot longer
than he wanted it to.

Jorge jacking up the car.

JORGE:
It's a good feeling, knowing
that you're taking the lead,

but you want to stay focused
on what you're doing,

because these are great
competitors, and I know that

it's a marathon, and I got to,
you know, treat it as one.

KEOGHAN:
Jake is jacking up his car.

Mister coming down
with his tires.

He's got a little catching up
to do, but that's okay.

He can do this.

Jorge's first tire is
on his car.

There you go.
There you go, Jake.

Mister getting
his tire on the back left.

Meanwhile, Jorge working
on that second tire.

He's getting his lug nuts on.

Go. You got it.

Jake has gone
to the back rear tire.

There you go, Jake.

-There you go, nice job.
-There you go, Jake.

KEOGHAN:
Mister has one tire on.

SERGIO: Just stay focused,
mijo,you got this!

You got to you got to give it
a little bit more, let's go!

KEOGHAN: Jake has got a lot
of catching up to do,

but it looks like he's letting
the jack down on his car.

Yes, he has both wheels
on the back of his car.

He's moving on to the front
at the same time

that Jorge is putting
the right front tire on.

[shouting, clamoring]

ILIMA:
Just a little bit more, Mister!

[shouting, clamoring]

KEOGHAN: Jake with the left
front tire, putting that on.

And Jorge
on the front left tire.

He might be the first
to get off the mark.

Once they get
all four tires on, get in

their cars and drive through
this wood to the other side.

ELLERY:
All right, Mister, let's go!

There we go, come on!

ILIMA: There you go, make
your machine work for you.

Let your machine work for you.

[engine starts]

KEOGHAN: Jorge gets through
to the other side.

Next part of this is to get
the grinder out

and cut a door through this
container to the other side.

[shouting, clamoring]

Nice job. Keep on going, Jake.

I got you.

ILIMA:
Let's go, Mister!

Jake coming through much more.

Oh, his beautiful parking job,
look at that.

He didn't even hit the water,
look at that.

-[horn honks]
-Jake up and over the K-rail.

Can Mister catch up?

-Take your time, man.

LAURA: Your specialty is next,
my friend.

That's where you're gonna
make up the time.

-All right. Yes.
-Right?

Man, I'm just going to be behind
this whole competition.

Okay, Mister, you got to get it
together.

Wh-What's happening?

KEOGHAN:
Here comes Mister!

MISTER: The next challenge is,
you know, get on that grinder.

I know I'm good at this.
This is right up my alley.

I can really make
some time up right here.

KEOGHAN: Mister's doing
a good job at cutting,

making up a lot of time.

See that? Good cutting.

LAURA: I told Mister,
when he was on the wheels.

I was like, I'm like, "Your
specialty's up next, buddy."

I was like, "Make it up there."
He's like, "Yeah, yeah."

KEOGHAN:
Jake is changing out a blade.

Jorge switching out
a new blade on his grinder.

SYNETHIA:
Let's go!

KEOGHAN: Mister gets
a new blade on his grinder

in record time. You can tell
he's done this before.

And he's making up
for a lot of time.

He's very good
with this grinder.

Jake is almost down
to the bottom on one side,

but he hasn't tightened
his blade properly.

Focus, Jake! Jake, focus! Focus!

JAKE:
I need a new blade.

And for being so pumped up
from moving that chain,

I'm shaking pretty good.

Put the blade on.
Round's wobbling.

Had to take it back off.
Get a new blade.

I lost a lot of time there.
Mister was able to catch up.

KEOGHAN: Mister is almost
at the top of his door.

ALY:
Yeah, let's go, Jorge!

[shouting, clamoring]

KEOGHAN:
Jorge is through

his door
and he's smashing his ice

Got to be careful here
not to break that saw.

Who will be the next through?

[shouting, clamoring]

[Mister whoops]

Mister through his door.

Throws off his face mask.

And he starts smashing ice.

Jake has still got
some catching up to do.

He is a little behind.

Mister does a great job.

He's made up a huge amount of
time.

Jorge working with wood.

You know he's used to doing
that. He's a carpenter.

We have two different
techniques going.

Jorge making all the cuts first

and Mister
nailing them in first,

then cutting as he goes.

Hey, let's go, carpenter.
Come on.

KEOGHAN:
We'll find out which technique
is going to be the fastest.

Wow, look at how quickly
Jorge is moving

through the cutting.

He is driven today.

Jorge, he's only got
one more cut to make,

and he can start putting
his ladder together.

-Come on, Jorge...
-Hey, this is the skills!

These are your skills,

KEOGHAN:
So far, super close.

Jorge got out to a good lead.

And Jake finally making
his way through the container.

He knows he's got
to make up time.

you've got to dig deep.

I know your arms are burning,
muscles getting tired.

Jake cutting two planks

You're getting closer, Jake!

KEOGHAN:
That's a smart catch-up move.

And here comes Mister
getting his ladder up.

Almost there. There's
plenty of ways to catch up.

Jake had all his steps cut
and Mister's

now climbing up
onto the top of his container.

Mister starts hacksawing.

He's not far behind now.

Made up a huge amount
of time with the grinder.

-SYNETHIA: Let's go, Jorge!
-LAURA: Here we go, Mister!

KEOGHAN: Jorge using both hands
on the hacksaw.

And he breaks the first chain.

-Good job, Jake.
-You're doing great, Jake.

-Keep up the great work, Jake.
-You're doing great, man.

KEOGHAN: Mister working away
now with his right hand.

And he breaks one side.

It's an even race again.

-SERGIO: Attaboy!
-LAURA: Come on, Mister!

[screams]

KEOGHAN:
Jake has his ladder done.

He still has a shot
at winning this.

KEOGHAN: Handling it.
And there goes the I-beam!

ALY:
Yeah, Jorge!

[shouting, clamoring]

KEOGHAN: The same time
as Mister's. Holy crap!

ELLERY:
Come on!

-Come on!
-[Mister whoops]

KEOGHAN: They're neck and neck.
They're working on their knots.

The win is about 20 feet away.

-[grunts]
-These lines are heavy

and they are heavily knotted.

SERGIO: Come on, baby, come on!
There you go!

KEOGHAN:
And Jake gets his beam down.

He is making his way across.

Catch-up time for Jake.

BETH:
Focus up. Focus up.

KEOGHAN:
This is the closest finish

we've ever had

-[Mister grunts]
-I told you it was gonna hurt.

Keep going, Mister!

KEOGHAN:

-Come on!

Prove that you're worthy of it.

[shouting, clamoring]

Get that cargo net up.

at the same time.

That's how close it's been
this entire competition.

Jorge and Jake

ALY:
