how we need to stop

patting our self on the back
for getting second.

I agree with her
because one more win

and Savage Crew
could take the $60,000,

and we are not

ALY:

the gravity of this challenge.

Our backs are against the wall,

so I think we're all
really focused today

and ready to bring it.

Now, Diko heads up the
Clean Team here at Long Beach.

Your city has
been recognized as one of

the cleanest in the country.

DIKO:
We were recognized as having

a gold medal operation
for refuse collection.

-Nice.
-That deserves
a round of applause.

They collect over 200,000 tons

of litter every single year,

so when they see
something like this,

Diko gets pretty upset.

DIKO:
Don't like it at all.

KEOGHAN: Today you
are going to help clean

these alleyways up.

As you can see, there are two

that are cluttered up

with some illegal dumping.

Dirty Hands, you'll be cleaning
out this alley right here.

And Savage Crew, you'll
be cleaning out this alley.

Same number of refrigerators,

same number of tires,
same number of everything.

When that work whistle blows,
start removing all the litter.

Dirty Hands,
you'll be working with

these two flatbed trucks

and this garbage truck
right here.

Savage Crew,

this garbage truck

and these two flatbeds.

Appliances and car parts
go on one truck.

Mattresses and tires
go on the other.

All the waste goes
into the garbage truck.

Final part of the job,

you're going to be
hosing out these alleys,

pushing everything
out onto the street.

You'll see that
we've laid out some

spill containment booms

to stop any unwanted debris

draining into the ocean.

And we know what's
at stake today.

becoming our
overall team champions.

so we were very confident

LAURA:
This alley, it seems like
it just keeps going and going

as to how far
all of the debris is,

so there's a whole lot to clean
up and there's going to be

a whole lot of things
that we need to move.

ILIMA:
Easier to pull than to push.

This alleyway's
full of ice boxes,

appliances, car parts, tires,

mattresses, you name it.

Okay, I'll help you sweep.

I knew from the get-go
that we needed

to open up a walkway,

get the leaves out of the way

for the guys to come through.

[grunts]

JAKE:
Ilima's call was to split up.

You want to be able to have all
the hands to be able to

pick up and get it all out
there as fast as possible.

I know that I'm strong,
so I told the team

I'll work on them
big, heavy items.

Get out of my way.

MISTER:
I've never had to do anything

to this extent.

My house is never this dirty,

My backyard is never
this dirty. [laughs]

I got this and the tire.

JORGE: You got to get these
refrigerators in first

because you're going to
run out of space.

KEOGHAN:
Ellery, no dolly

involved there.

My plan was to
have myself and Jorge

get all the appliances

and car parts onto the flatbed.

Sergio and Beth will handle
the beds and the tires.

-Let's get all
the mattresses, right?
-Yeah.

ELLERY:
Aly and Synethia, they will

put the miscellaneous
into the garbage truck.

BETH:
Synethia, get that couch.

I know.

ELLERY:
Everyone was doing

exactly what they
were asked to do.

KEOGHAN:
You know, it's hard
to imagine, Diko,

that people actually
loved this stuff

at one point.

[grunting]

One man's trash

JAKE: Let's move, let's move.

LAURA: Renée and I were
cleaning up all of the leaves.

Since we only had three bins,
we wanted to make sure

that the leaves were
constantly being picked up

so we have less
to sweep up in the end.

Watch that tire.

Really, really hot out.

Oh. Like, why not roll a tire?

MISTER:
One of Ilima's ideas:

Just roll the tires
down the alley.

RENEÉE:
It was just going one, one, one,

-like, after the other.
-KEOGHAN: That's a great move.

ILIMA:
Tire coming down.

MISTER:
Another tire.

Wow, look at this tire
just rolling in.

JAKE:
More tires.

LAURA:
Why try and carry something

if it's already round
and it rolls pretty well?

KEOGHAN:
Really good strategy.

SERGIO: Go, Beth, go. Come on.

Beth and I are

jamming down the alley, grabbing

mattresses and tires and
getting them to the truck.

BETH:
Hey, Serge.
Just stack the tires.

Put them off to the side
a little bit.

Get all the mattresses on

-and then start stacking tires.
-Yup.

Sergio and I's plan
from the start,

we were going to pack
the truck ourselves.

Get all the mattresses in there

because we need
to see how much space

those are going to take up

because you couldn't have things
just hanging off the truck.

Don't put tires on the truck.

We got mattresses still.
Be careful with all that.

I know, I know.

JAKE: Got to get all
these mattresses on.

Is that drivable with
those up there like that?

-DIKO: No.
-KEOGHAN: Remember,
these have to be able

to be safely driven
out of here, guys.

You cannot have anything

precariously balanced
on your trucks.

LARRON:
We got to turn
those up on end.

-They got to travel safely.
-LAURA: I need help, bro.

LARRON: Here, I'll do it.

KEOGHAN: Ellery is
the crew boss today,

stacking up tires.

JORGE: Hey, Ellery.

Get up top. I'll pass it to you.

I find myself doing double duty.

As I was working on
my side of the truck,

I also was helping Beth
with the tires.

If there's one thing I'm good
at, it's how to arrange things.

BETH:
Why did these tires go on? Why?

I said don't put
the tires on the truck.

It's got to go up.

We were stacking them
on the sidewalk

and then there's
suddenly a whole

stack of tires in the truck.

And I know it wasn't Sergio
and I doing that.

Got to go on top or we're not

going to have enough
room for the tires.

That box spring at the top
looks a little too dicey.

BETH:
We got to do
something with that.

Now we can't get
all the mattresses in there,

and we have
to do a bunch of rework.

BETH:
I don't know how
many times I said

don't put the tires in first.

ELLERY:
All we can do is readjust.

I know what I'm doing.

BETH:
We're doing rework right now.

I said no tires
until the mattresses...

ELLERY:
Listen, I understand,

but that's not going to
help us right now.

I got it.

Why did these tires go on?

or we're not going to have
enough room for the tires.

LARRON:
The challenge today

is an alleyway that has

a bunch of debris, junk, trash,

appliances that
we have to clean out

and then pack into
three different trucks.

KEOGHAN:
And look at this.
That garbage truck

is just crushing
somebody's dreams.

That was somebody's
favorite sofa.

It's hard to pick it
at this point,

but a lot of big pieces

are coming back
from Savage Crew.

-MISTER: You need any help?
-JAKE: No, keep going,
grab more.

Get it out to the road. Push.

Every minute counts in this.

We're going
to do whatever it takes

to save that little bit of time.

KEOGHAN:
Jake doing some heavy lifting

with that refrigerator.

JAKE:
This is for money for Larron

to go see his parents.

This is for Renée and Laura,

these people that
are knocked out

of individual competition.

I'm wide, I'm wide.

So it was just
making use of every trip

coming in and out.

Ilima wants your help

-loading up out there.
-I know.

If we're going back,
I'm taking trash.

No wasted trips,

BETH: Why's Aly
going back empty-handed?

No one can have
empty hands going back.

There's no excuse for
coming back empty-handed.

I'm dragging a bed frame
plus four tires.

JORGE:
Two more doors and that's it.

Let's start moving on the sweep.

We're right there.

So much on the line
for both teams.

Oh, that refrigerator
comes down off the dolly.

JORGE:
I need help back here.

KEOGHAN:
Boom. He drops it
the other way.

We got to go. However
you can grab it, get it.

It's a far way down that alley.

You don't realize how
far you got to go

until you're halfway down it

with something pretty heavy.

You can't stop today.

DIKO:
As they clean, the distance

is getting further and further

-and it's going to
tire them out.
-Yep.

LAURA: Hammer down, let's go.
Got a ways to go.

Come help us grab this stuff.

a check before you start
using the high pressure hose.

JAKE:

MISTER: None.

MISTER:

-JAKE: Ilima, get ready.

I'm super excited to
run this pressure washer.

It's in my wheelhouse,

so I'm waiting for a thumbs up

so that I can start.

-DIKO: That truck's good.
-KEOGHAN: Check.

KEOGHAN:
Savage Crew

starting with their
high pressure hose.

RENEÉE:

ILIMA:
we have to pressure wash

all of this debris
up to the finish line.

I have Larron trailing behind me
so I didn't have to

-fight my hoses.

Everybody's just cleaning up

with their brooms

and we're fighting hard
and digging deep.

SERGIO:

KEOGHAN:
Dirty Hands gets

the clearance to start
high pressure hosing.

-BETH: There you go.
-JORGE: Come on, it's game time.

SERGIO:
I just don't
want to focus on them.

I'm like,
"Let's go, we got this."

It's very close.

I got this, start brooming!

Much broader strokes. Broader.

Oh, it's going to
be a rush to the finish.

JAKE: Keep it pressure
the whole time.

I'm trying to. I'm not
letting off with the hose.

It's getting down to
the last few moments

of this challenge.

I look across the way,
I see Sergio

pressure washing
just as close as I am.

We're both coming up
on each other.

Don't get too far ahead.

-Start pushing it.
-I'm getting a little nervous.

I want to get things
tied back up four to four.

to back off right now.
You need to go deeper.

got to dig deeper.

the end of the driveway,

but I just feel like some people

aren't as passionate as I am.

I mean, we had
a good plan going in.

It's not something
that comes easy to me.

I think, kind of, after my
father passed when I was young,

I just kind of shut
that-that part of myself off.

How did you deal with that,

when your father passed?

I had nobody to

I really had to change roles.

I didn't want to be weak in

Yesterday was a huge day for me.

I've proven to myself that

I should have
the confidence that I lacked

coming into the competition.

My growth has been
tremendous here

and I'm excited to step up more.

Those of you
who have punched out,

take a seat up on the truck.

MISTER:
Morning, morning.

I hate the anticipation,
the buildup

towards the challenge.

You got so many things
going on in your mind.

What are we going to do?
How can I do it?

KEOGHAN:
Started off with 12.

We are down to six of you.

Your destiny is going
to be determined

by who you're
paired up with today.

We're going to
leave that up to you.

But I want you to
see what the job entails

so you can
make the right decisions.

-Adam, this is Phil.
Good morning.
-Copy.

I've got our final six lined up.

-They're ready to go to work.
-All righty, heading in.

KEOGHAN:
All right, everybody.
How about a round of applause

for our team here
from Long Beach Water.

These guys do
a lot of work out here.

Today, you're going to be doing
two of the jobs they do.

All right, Adam,
so what have we got here?

We have a little
bit of a problem.

ADAM: Yeah, we have
a water mainline break.

KEOGHAN:
There's close to

a quarter of a million breaks

in the main water supplies

around America
every single year,

and that is what you
are going to be fixing today.

First part of the job,

stop a mains leak
with a full circle clamp.

It's relatively easy.

Just get that clamp on,

tighten it down
and stop the leak.

Second part of the job

is use a Mueller device
to tap into

the mains pipe.
That is way more complicated.

Everything you need to know

is inside the instruction book
on your workstations.

Go to work, guys.
Show us how it's done.

ADAM:
Open up your boxes and inside

you're going to find a saddle.

They've put their machine

on top of their saddle,
drop the machine down

30 to 45 degrees,

remove the top of the machine.

He's inserting his drill bit in.

Once you put your bit on,
you're gonna

put some tapping
grease on the end of it.

KEOGHAN:
This drill bit right
here is going into the pipe.

It gets down to this point,
and then it

starts to tap it.

You have to use
your physical power

to start grinding that

drill bit into this mains
pipe with a torque wrench.

ADAM:
You're going to start
to hear a crunching sound.

-KEOGHAN: You hear that?
-That crunching sound is

him popping through
the inside of the pipe.

Once all of that's complete,

you'll remove the top of
the Mueller machine,

change the bit out
for a corporation valve.

Once that's in place,

you're going to put
the machine back together,

send it down into the pipe,
screw it in,

and when they pull
this machine off,

we should have
a corporation valve

tapped inside of our water main.

The next step,
running a copper water service

and attaching it
to that meter stand.

Once there are no leaks,

then we can open up
the meter side.

KEOGHAN:
Thank you, team.

ALY:
No pressure.

You know what
the job is all about now.

It's time to select who

you want to be paired up with.

Remember, if you are
the losing pair,

you will go from
working together

to then going up
against each other

in overtime.

If anybody wants

He does welding, so he
might have experience

with these tools

and everybody kind of
wants to pair up with him.

Mister, it's going to get

difficult for you.

back at Catalina.
We had a connection

from the beginning, so

I really wanted to go with her.

I'm a pipe layer.

-Let's try to get it, buddy.
-That wasn't very offensive.

and I know
he knows what he's doing.

KEOGHAN:

by Adam's team

as you do the job.

is get rid of that leak.

Okay, slide it into place.

LARRON: As a diesel technician,
I work with hydraulic lines,

-fittings, hoses.
-Turn it up like this.

so we don't miss anything.

I am knee deep in the mud.

The stress level is high.

JORGE:

MISTER:

I didn't think that
water would come this high.

I mean, this pit
was pretty deep.

IMILA:

MISTER:
I better not drop
nothing in this mud

'cause I won't be
able to find it.

[Ilima laughs]

JAKE:
Leak stopped.

Hammer down, baby.

LARRON: I'm going, baby.

They're talking
nicely to each other.

ALY:
I'll talk so sweet to somebody

MISTER:
Let me see this wrench.

KEOGHAN: Mister and Ilima
have their clamp

so that it's on its side,

It should be sitting
on the pipe vertically.

That is going to make
things really difficult.

ADAM: They're already
tightening down,

then they're in a world of pain.

ILIMA:
It doesn't matter how,
the patch is on.

MISTER:
Hold on. Doesn't
it need to be up, though?

RENEÉE:
Come on, Ilima and Mister.

[groans]

We realize that the nuts
have to be on the top.

Too tight.

We're having to loosen it up
to flip it over.

-[exclaims]
-It's all about paying attention

to detail that could determine

where we're going
to fall in this.

RENEÉE:
There you go, Ilima and Mister.

KEOGHAN:
That's eating up a lot of time.

Yeah, the ratchet

coming down tight over here.

The water is now stopped.

-There you go.
-Let's go.

JORGE:
Make sure you're
kind of centered up.

I'm torquing it down.

Ellery is grabbing our machine,

so when I'm finished,

he's going to be set up
and ready to go.

ALY:
I hear it clicking.

KEOGHAN:
He's just going past the click.

He's putting more on it

than he needs to.

He's over-tightening it
at this point.

ILIMA: What tools you need next?

KEOGHAN: Mister and Ilima

still trying to
get rid of that leak.

-ILIMA: You need the torque?
-MISTER: Yeah.

ILIMA:
Mister is very smart.

He knows how to use his tools
to work for him,

not against him.

MISTER:
Let's get that machine out.

So he's doing his
thing and I'm just trying

to grab the tools to prep us

to work on the next step

to getting this hole drilled.

-There we go.
-Awesome.

KEOGHAN:
Step one complete
for Ilima and Mister.

JAKE:
Let's get this on,
get our chain

and get those other bits in.

KEOGHAN: Jake and Laron,
taking an early lead.

Moving on to the second job,

tapping into their pipe
using their Mueller machine.

-Where's the bit?
-LARRON: Right here.

LARRON:
The key with putting our

assembly on the main pipe

and tapping it is there

are numerous steps.

Get it inserted.

And it's all about making sure
that you do everything

according to what
you're supposed to.

It's like this goes on here.

Looks like they're
struggling with the top

of the machine a little bit.

They need to add
some tapping grease.

KEOGHAN:
Guys, take that back out.

You've missed a step.

Read your instructions.

JAKE:
Larron, we're missing something.

LARRON:
I know, I know.

JAKE:
I'm looking around.

What are we missing?

KEOGHAN: Ellery and Jorge
have their leak fixed.

-JORGE: Hold on.
-KEOGHAN: And look how quickly

they got their Mueller
machine in place.

They've already greased
and inserted their drill bit.

KEOGHAN:
Mister and Ilima have caught up.

They've already greased up
their drill bit.

"Remove bonnet from body."

I'm referring to the manual.

I'm trying to think,
have we skipped any steps?

"Tighten tapping bit."

It's causing an issue for us

where it's starting to eat up
that lead that we had.

RENEÉE:
Focus up, focus up.

[Larron groans]

-Come on!
-RENEÉE: Focus up!

[cheering]

KEOGHAN:
Everyone has their first job

complete, they've stopped

their leaks, but Jake and Larron

are at a standstill.

Jorge and Ellery

and Mister and Ilima
are racing ahead

on the second job.

They're using
that Mueller machine

to tap into their pipes.

JAKE:
We're missing something.
We're missing something, Larron.

LARRON:
I'm going through
the steps again.

Oh, oh. We got to
apply the grease.

JAKE:
Forgot to put grease on the bit.

We definitely
lost a lot of time.

I don't want to
go into overtime,

-especially against Larron.
-I'm going to

work with you. Go.

-Where's the ratchet?
-Here.

Now comes the hard part.

We have to manually

drill a hole inside this pipe.

Not too tight.

Ilima, she's working the yoke.

It's a collar that gradually

goes down on the thread.

I'm on the ratchet side
in charge of

drilling the hole.

KEOGHAN: That's good teamwork
there from Mister and Ilima.

Mister, he's really
putting his back into this.

[grunt echoes]

Jake and Larron,

starting to grind down

into that mains pipe.

Keep going. Keep backing it up.
Right here.

The key is you want
to get it tight.

But you don't
want to get it too tight.

So it is a delicate balance

between what Jorge has
to do and what I am doing.

Ellery's got
a nice touch on the yoke.

-I'm in.
-KEOGHAN: Ooh, you hear that?

BETH:
Let's go, Jorge!

KEOGHAN: Jorge and Ellery
are in the lead right now.

First to tap
the mains water pipe.

Come on, push.

-Come on, baby.
-[grunts]

All right, we're through.

-Okay.
-Jake and Larron are tapped.

Where are they up to?

ADAM: Looks like they're
on the release section.

ELLERY: Loosen it,
loosen it, loosen it.

They should close that flapper,
which would keep water

from entering
the top of the machine.

Tighten it.
All right, that's it.

ADAM: And then they can
remove the top of the machine.

All right, boys! Here we go!

KEOGHAN: Wow! Mister and Ilima
are now tapping down

into the main's water pipe.

-Whoa! Whoa! Stop.
-ADAM: Jake and Larron,

-they're on the release section.
-Why's there so much pressure?

They need to make sure

that they close
that flapper valve.

If not, they're gonna have
water going everywhere.

Yeah, we need to check the book.

We're having trouble
with our flapper valve.

We can't figure out
why it's not relieving properly.

We got to figure out
what we're doing and fast.

But keep twisting,
keep twisting.

JORGE:
After we tap the pipe, we have

-to pull it out.
-I got it.

And change the bit.
Put it in right there.

KEOGHAN:
Ellery and Jorge already

installing
the corporation valve.

Got to have a nice touch
as you put this in.

Okay. Just like that.

Focus on you, you guys.

You got to wait
till that flap opens up.

Mister is removing
their machine as well.

-[grunts]
-Oh, are you okay?

-Damn!
-ILIMA: That bad boy

comes around,
hit him in the kneecap.

It hit him pretty hard, too.

It's okay,
you got another one.

-You only need one.

KEOGHAN:
Mister, you okay?

[exhales] Yeah, yep.

Let me know whatever you need.

Make sure the flapper's
all the way in.

Our flapper valve,
it's been sitting

kind of in between
relief and bypass.

-Back it off even more.

Once I shift it
all the way to relief,

we can get
our entire assembly out,

install our corporation valve
and go to work.

-Ready, Larron?
-Yep.

KEOGHAN: Everybody's putting
that corporation valve

into the main line
all at the same time.

-Let me help.
-Okay.

Okay, we're done. Loosen that?

Ellery and I, we've got
very effective communication.

But do the pipes.

We get in a nice
groove together.

KEOGHAN:
Jorge and Ellery,

first to get
their corporation valve in.

JORGE:
First ones getting our valve in,

it was
a good boost of confidence.

-All right.
-The next step is put the tool

inside the copper pipe
and you beat it in,

but I want to get both pipes
ready to go

so we're able
to just screw them on,

tighten them up
and turn our water on.

-That's good.
-Let's go!
-Here you go.

This is installed.
You start doing the pipe.

LAURA: Here we go, Ilima!
Here we go, Mister!

KEOGHAN: Corporation valve
complete for all three teams.

Look, it's this one.

It's gonna come down
to the piping.

Get me out the pieces, Larron.

I'm just going
to do the flaring.

I know how many times
you have to hit it

in order to get the right size.

Boom, boom. Like that.

Put the fittings on,

gave it to Larron.

I was over there
working on the other one.

Boom. Got that one done.

Okay. Getting this on.
Larron, be ready.

My blood's just pumping
through my veins.

We're in this to win this.

KEOGHAN:
Once you've got your two pieces

of copper piping attached,
we're gonna turn on

the corporation valve,
test for leaks.

I'm holding it!

Ellery already attached

the first piece
of copper piping.

KEOGHAN:
They have the lead right now.

Eight G's, baby, come on!

-Yeah!
-Here we go.

KEOGHAN: It's coming down
to one piece of pipe.

Is it moving?

I don't know.

There is $8,000 on the line.

-But we are having difficulty

attaching copper pipe

that he just did
to the curb stop.

-Is it on?

The nervousness just became
more palpable.

KEOGHAN:
It couldn't be closer!

KEOGHAN:
Jorge and Ellery had the lead,

but now they're struggling
with this last connection.

JORGE:

ALY:

KEOGHAN:
$8,000. Who wants it more?

-We got to tighten these two.
-You gotta move!

-I got it. Get the pipe wrench.
-KEOGHAN: Let's go.

Larron and Jake attached
the copper piping.

Now they have
to turn the tap on.

LARRON: We got off
to a really early lead.

Lost that lead,
and then came back.

So we were just overjoyed
about the win.

KEOGHAN: Ellery and Jorge
down to the last connection.

But it slipped off.

Mister and Ilima down
to the last connection.

Who's gonna go into overtime?

[shouting, clamoring]

ALY:

And Jorge and Ellery get
the job done.

-[cheering, clamoring]

We worked really well together.

We could've gotten first

had we not made some mistakes,
but Dirty Hands,

we get to stay out of overtime.

And I don't have
to compete against Ellery.

and put all his life skills
to good use.

Ilima and Mister,

you worked so well
with each other, but

to go up against each other.

$200,000 would definitely give

me and my family
a big push-start.

At the end of the day,
I'm doing this for them.

You've both survived overtime.

It's a chance for you
to do it one more time.

From the smell of it, no.

-KEOGHAN: Yeah.

Crazy things get flushed
down into the sewer system.

Back in the 1920s and 1930s,

people were flushing alligators
down the toilet.

-God.
-There were alligators
in the sewer system

in New York City.

But it was all a legend.

You don't have
to worry about that.

This job requires

a tremendous amount of skill,
believe it or not.

And somebody has to do it,
because the sewers do get

clogged up
with all kinds of items.

When that work whistle blows,
the first thing you'll do is

you'll be taking
the sewer cover off.

You'll grab the tools supplied

that you see behind you.

And get to work at picking out
five items from the sewer.

Some keys, a cell phone,

glasses, a hammer.

And there's also
an alligator down there.

Don't worry,
it's not a live alligator.

[laughter]

It's up to you

to choose
the right tool for the job.

You need to remove one item
at a time.

And then place it
onto the table.

Once you have removed
all five items,

then replace the sewer cover.

The first of you to get it done,
go into the final five.

Finish last,
you'll be punching out.

-Ready to get it done?
-Yes, sir.
-I'm ready.

It's scary because you
don't know the fate of it.

You don't know how good
you're gonna do.

You don't know how good
your competitor is gonna be.

I work with Ilima every day.

She always gives it her all
and she's gonna

figure out a way to get it done.

It's really, uh, you know,
nerve-racking.

[sputtering]

Going up against Mister,
it's gonna be tough.

He is a beast and
his determination is on fire.

All right, here we go.

We've battled
so much fights as a family.

It's definitely hard to switch
it up and be like, "Okay,

I'm gonna do my best and try--
try to get you out of here."

I'm like, "Oh, God."

KEOGHAN:

ILIMA: When I was a little girl
at my grandma's house,

she had a hole in the floor,
and me, my sister,

my brother would tie a string,
we'd tie a piece of duct tape

to a stick and we'd
literally fish for toys

underneath the house and we'd
pull it up and we'd be like,

"What did you get?
What did you get?"

Ilima's the first one
to get her sewer cover out.

-I'm feeling very confident.
-ALY: You got this.

KEOGHAN: Meanwhile, Mister
struggling to get his out.

They are heavy.

MISTER:
Yeah, they're heavy!

-Come on, Mister!
-Find a way.

KEOGHAN:
There you go, Mister!

MISTER:
Once I got that sewer lid off,

immediately I started
hooking up my poles.

Now they're both going
with the same tool choice.

MISTER:
Let's go, let's go.

ILIMA: I get my poles together.
I look down,

and I see my five items laying
at the bottom of this pipeline.

Oh, God.

A cell phone, a hammer,

keys, glasses and...

for the fun of it,
of course, Phil's gonna

throw an alligator in there.
[laughs]

Ilima's already down
the sewer hole.

Mister still trying
to get that tool attached.

[shouting, clamoring]

KEOGHAN:
Ilima onto the table.

First item complete.

Come on, Mister!

ALY:
Let's go, Ilima.

KEOGHAN: Ilima now going
for a second piece.

-Oh!
-[all clamoring]

That thing looked like
it was alive when it came up.

Oh, that was scary.

Ilima's two items
out on the table.

She wants to change the tool.
She's gone for more of a scoop.

Meanwhile, Mister yet
to get a piece out.

LARRON:
Come on, Mister.

But now Mister
getting it together.

Looking down in there,
it's a narrow hole.

And it's straight down,

and there's two small holes
on each side.

I'm thinking, like,
"How can I pick these items up

without dropping them
to the side?"

I really use the walls
to kind of help

keep steady as you pull
your pole back out of the sewer.

-Mister has the keys.
-[cheering, clamoring]

Looks like Mister wants
a different implement

on the front.

ALY:
Hey, let's go, Ilima!

KEOGHAN: Ilima is struggling
with this third item.

She's got
the pooper scooper out.

BETH:
Oh, my God.

LARRON: Come on, Mister.
You got this, man.

KEOGHAN:
Mister with two items out.

LARRON: You got a chance
to catch up, Mister.

KEOGHAN:
Ilima's got two.

LARRON: There you go.
Something ain't working.

Change it up.

Nice and easy, breathe.

Come on, you're a boss!

-There you go, Ilima.
-Yeah, there you go!

There you go, there you go!

KEOGHAN:
Ilima takes the lead now.

Oh, man.

There's nothing in there.

I didn't realize
that when I went

down there with my pole,
I had whacked the last two items

in the sewer drain itself

on both sides.

There were two big holes,
and I'd lost the phone

and the keys
in one side of that hole.

That's a crucial mistake.

ELLERY:
She doesn't see them.

-You got it.
-Come on, Ilima,
you can do this.

You adapt to everything.
Come on, girl.

I think she might have
pushed them out of sight.

-ILIMA: I have no items in here.
-SYNETHIA: You got to find them,
come on.

ILIMA: They're literally
all the way in the hole.

LARRON:
Try and pull them out of there.

-I can't even see, it's gone.
-Come on, Ilima.

KEOGHAN:
Three for Mister.

ILIMA:
There is nothing to fish for.

I'm trying to work my tool,

but it's just completely
out of reach.

And at that point...

it's game over for me.

There's two sewer pipes
and it's, it's gone.

A lot of thoughts
ran into my head.

Did I make the right
decision choosing Ilima?

Because I never wanted to,
uh, put her in this position.

Whoever punches out,
you know, that's it.

That's the end of their journey.

I feel kind of bad really.

LAURA:
All right, Mister!

KEOGHAN:
Mister with four items.

-JAKE: There you go, Mister!
-KEOGHAN: One more to go.

ILIMA: There's literally
nothing for me to--

-See what you got.
-I have nothing in my hole.

Nothing?

KEOGHAN:
Mister with his fifth piece.

MISTER: You know,
you get close to people.

You hear everybody's
backstories.

You hear
about everybody's family.

Sometimes it's
kind of hard to, uh...

you know, not love.

-[grunting]
-KEOGHAN: Get that lid back on.

-Good job, Mister.
-Mister gets it done.

you know, one of my favorite

teammates doesn't feel good
