KEOGHAN: ...won the team competition.

CHRISTINE: This one was for all the outcasts, guys!

KEOGHAN: Is anybody here afraid of the ocean?

In the individual competition...

There will be only one Tough As Nails champion.

(cheering)

KEOGHAN: Yeah, he's your Hawaiian brother.

MIKE: Kelsey, Sarah, Christine, Kalimba:

these women are paving the way for my little girl.

LIA: Quincey's a Mack truck!

QUINCEY: My family-- they're my reasons for everything.

QUINCEY: It's very important for my children that I do

my absolute best here to win Tough As Nails.

ELIZABETH: Final four today.

On Savage Crew, just, of course: me.

And then Quincey, Jerome and Lia.

I've done everything I can to learn how to

push myself to the limits every day, so I'm ready.

Jerome-- he's always up there on my heels.

Quincey's good too...

Quincey has a huge heart.

HANGER: Quincey is a sleeper, just like Lia.

I have a lot of union sisters

that will be cheering for Elizabeth,

and I would love to see Elizabeth win it.

It just depends on what we're doing, you know?

HANGER: No pressure, but...

you better make Savage Crew look good tonight!

(laughing)

CHRISTINE: We have three people left on Dirty Hands

and there's one Savage Crew,

and Lia just took out their biggest competitor.

- That was so close, and, it was scary...

- I don't want to do that today...

Um, Jerome? Could you take this one, brother?

- Yeah, I'll get it for you. - Or Quincey...

- I'm tired of overtime.

This is like an upstate championship game.

You got to get your mind right.

It's the day before the big show, and you want to get in.

Your opponents are just as hungry as you, so,

you-you got to be more hungrier than them.

LIA: Jerome, I'd love to see you doing overtime

against Elizabeth.

(laughs) - Let me take her out!

What prepare me for today?

I work hard from 17 years old.

Pick up that jackhammer, and-and you work with your hands,

and you bust up your hands.

You got to earn your spot.

- Let's go.

- Morning! - Morning, Phil.

KEOGHAN: We've got a great day for the final four!

CHRISTINE: You guys, go get 'em!

LIA: To be in the final four... I'm honored.

Mom is my driving force.

I never saw her healthy,

but I have pictures of her canoeing.

And just the joy on her face--

I think we're a lot alike.

KEOGHAN: Welcome to the final four, everybody.

By the end of the day,

one of you will be punching out.

We'll be going down into our final three.

But we've got to work that out first.

- Yeah, let's work it out!

(laughs)

KEOGHAN: Your job is to move 23,000 pounds of gravel

that you see piled up over here--

using a skid steer loader.

LIA: Oh, look! (applause)

KEOGHAN: It's gonna make it easier.

JEROME: My machine expertise is all on this road.

This is like my playground right there-- anything with dirt.

All that "beep, beep," is all lovely to me.

I'm in my safe zone over here.

- We're going to run this in two heats.

When the work whistle blows,

you'll use your skid steer loader to pick up gravel

and stack it up on this side of the K-rail.

Once you can go up and over,

go to the other side,

and knock down those barrels over there.

If you win your heat,

you will automatically go into the final three.

If you lose, you'll be going into overtime.

Elizabeth, since you finished the last

individual competition first,

you get to draw the first wrench out of the bucket

to see which heat you'll be in.

♪ ♪

- Two. - Two!

Jerome, you were second to finish,

you get to pick the second wrench.

- Two. - Two!

No need to draw now.

(laughs)

Lia, Quincey: get in your machines,

let's get the job done!

KALIMBA: Let's go, guys!

- Good luck, Lia. - Quincey, good luck.

All right.

Lia's a great competitor,

she doesn't get flustered with anything.

But, you know, I'm all in.

Trying to get the job done and make it to the final three.

LIA: I know we're competing against each other,

but we're competing against ourselves, too.

I try not to focus on the win,

just focus on all the other good things

that come from competing,

and winning will come.

KEOGHAN: Lia, Quincey:

time to go to work!

(work whistle blows)

(applause)

Lia is the first to hit her gravel.

- Whoa, back up!

KEOGHAN: But she didn't get a good scoop.

Quincey got a good scoop, though!

HANGER: Oh!

KEOGHAN: Oh! But he dumps a little bit out

on the way through.

QUINCY: Difficult part about using that skid steer is,

your left foot and your right foot

works the bucket and the boom.

And then you got to know when to go forward

and when to go back on the joysticks,

and if you don't have good hand-eye coordination, you know,

you're gonna make some mistakes.

(honks horn) KEOGHAN: He's hit his horn.

He's letting you know he's working.

LIA: I've been to overtime,

and I really don't want to do it again.

I just want to get a nice incline,

pat it down with a bucket a little bit

so it doesn't slip out from under me,

then get over and back down some barrels.

KEOGHAN: Lia back for a second scoop!

HANGER: Oh... KEOGHAN: Oh! She stalled it.

LIA: I was trying to turn quick.

Apparently that overloads the hydraulics and shuts it down.

KEOGHAN: Lia has come to a complete standstill.

Meanwhile, Quincey gets a good scoop.

QUINCEY: I saw Lia stalled out.

I'm like, "Okay, well,

this changes the whole game."

KEOGHAN: Now she gets the engine started again!

CHRISTINE: There you go!

ALFIE: Go! Go, go!

CHRISTINE: Come on, Lia!

KEOGHAN: Good pour, she's going right up against the rail.

She's getting smoother as the time ticks by.

CHRISTINE: Come on, guys!

KEOGHAN: How many more trips till we get this job done?

♪ ♪

Lia is catching up.

She's starting to look now like she operates

these daily... - She picks it up real quick.

ALFIE: Lia is a sleeper.

She's proven that over and over again.

When she gets to work, you're in trouble.

KEOGHAN: Quincey going high...

- Go, go, go, go!

KEOGHAN: He's trying to go up and over.

Oh, and Quincey is up in the air--

his bucket is stuck.

15 minutes on the clock!

MIKE: Level it out! KEOGHAN: Both so close!

Who will be the first to go up and over their K-rail,

knock down the barrels and go into the final three?

Go, Quincey! Go, go, go!

They're both gonna go for it... - Come on!

KEOGHAN: ...here comes Lia!

Quincey's trying. HANGER: You can do it!

KEOGHAN: Lia up... - Go!

ELIZABETH: Oh! KEOGHAN: Yeah!

JEROME: She went over it...

CHRISTINE: You got some air!

HANGER: Go, go, yeah!

♪ ♪

KEOGHAN: And... Lia gets it done!

Quincey just a few seconds behind.

(applause)

LIA: You know, just busting through something...

is pretty incredible.

And winning the first heat against Quincey...

...is humbling.

Being in the final three is-- it's still not sinking in yet.

HANGER: Good job, guys! (applause)

QUINCEY: Fourth time in overtime,

you know is just, uh, kind of like a numb feeling, you know?

It's my final chance for the final three,

and I want that spot so I-I got to win.

♪ ♪

KEOGHAN: You win this heat you go through to the final three.

Finish last?

You will be going into overtime against Quincey.

ELIZABETH: Being paired up with Jerome,

it's gonna be a lot tougher than if I get

somebody with maybe less experience.

But I've operated this machinery before--

under a time crunch, too.

I'm just used to being under pressure,

so it's just gonna depend on who can make the least mistakes,

and who can go the fastest.

My angle... Elizabeth is a great competitor.

She took two first places, but now you in my playground.

As construction workers, evening out this dirt?

It's like my house, man.

It's, it's my couch right there.

Right there, my table, and I-I'm comfortable.

On the work whistle...

(work whistle blows, cheers and applause)

Jerome racing ahead,

gets his bucket low.

Got to be careful not to stall this.

Jerome, in a cloud of dust.

He's coming back with his first load!

My strategy is just to make one fat pile, back, lay them back.

These machines is my daily life.

This is what feed my family, practically.

KEOGHAN: Elizabeth gets her first bucket dump...

ELIZABETH: My strategy is to dump close to the wall,

grate it back,

and drive over the material and get it nice and compacted.

So when I come back with that final dump,

I can just go right over the wall.

KEOGHAN: Jerome... - Oh!

KEOGHAN: Oh! He's trying to move and drop his bucket

at the same time.

ALFIE: I'm in the industry.

I'm a superintendent,

I watch people work.

Jerome plays with very big toys-- this is a little toy.

They would not pay Jerome to sit on a skid steer.

Elizabeth does cement foundations,

and you have to deal with a skid steer on a daily basis

to accomplish those tasks.

Most people don't know this.

I'm a betting man,

I'll go ahead and put my money on Elizabeth.

♪ ♪

Come on, Elizabeth!

KEOGHAN: Our general contractor Elizabeth

is very good on the skid steer loaders.

But Jerome? Smooth like butter.

You see how he turned that thing?

This is like an extension of his body.

He's just so at home right now.

Two minutes and 40 seconds!

They are flying, a good time is under ten minutes.

ELIZABETH: When you compact gravel you have to

put a little bit of material,

grate it back, and then compact it.

Maybe I'm gonna be a little bit slower,

but strong and steady wins the race.

That's why I'm confident that I'm gonna win.

CHRISTINE: Good job, Jerome!

KEOGHAN: Jerome is already starting to smooth out

from the top of the K-rail.

CHRISTINE: Look at that skill, how we fans it out.

He makes it an art form!

KEOGHAN: Is Jerome gonna try to come up and over?

- He is smooth.

KEOGHAN: Three minutes and 47 seconds

and he's trying to go up and over!

HANGER: No, no, no, no...

KEOGHAN: But no, he's gonna need another load!

It'd be ridiculous if he can do it in four minutes!

QUINCEY: Talk about skill... (whoops)

Quincey, you have to be impressed.

QUINCEY: Ooh, I am.

KEOGHAN: Oh, Elizabeth!

She's rushing, she can see how fast Jerome's going.

ELIZABETH: Looking at Jerome, I know I got to pick up the pace.

I've got to get this done, I do not want to go to overtime.

KEOGHAN: Elizabeth is moving her gravel as fast as she can.

Here comes Jerome again, and he's got it up...

Whoa!

Got to be careful he doesn't flip this.

Oh! - Oh, my gosh.

KEOGHAN: Jerome has got to be careful he doesn't flip this...

Woah! Wow. - Oh, my God...

KEOGHAN: He realizes he needs one more-- hold on a second.

KELSEY: He's gonna just go for it!

KEOGHAN: He's going backwards!

(cheering)

And... he's sitting on the precipice!

Elizabeth so close! TAK: Bro, go!

♪ ♪

ALL: Oh! (cheering)

KEOGHAN: And Jerome does a twirl!

(cheering) He's coming in for the finish!

HANGER: No way!

KEOGHAN: And Jerome gets it done!

Going through to the final three.

HANGER: That was epic! KEOGHAN: That was incredible.

JEROME: I'm happy that I'm going through to the finals.

Now I'm one step closer

to that grand prize of $200,000.

It will be tough to get this Hawaiian out of the competition,

I tell you that.

(whoops)

HANGER: Elizabeth!

ELIZABETH: I am mentally prepared to go to overtime.

Quincey's been in overtime before.

I've been finishing really at the top,

and he's been finishing at the bottom.

I know that I can beat him.

I'm gonna be in the top three.

♪ ♪

KELSY: Yeah! (applause)

ELIZABETH: Both Quincey and I are pretty good

at staying calm.

But also, Quincey is very detail-oriented,

and that can hurt him.

There's a lot on the line,

and I'm gonna have to make sure I don't make mistakes

and I move more quickly than Quincey.

QUINCEY: Elizabeth is a competitor.

She wants this bad as I do,

but I'm the only one

that's prepared for overtime.

And that'll give me an edge over Elizabeth.

I got to go in with a hot heart, cool head.

I got one more challenge in me--

actually got two more in me.

I got to cross this bridge first.

Welcome to overtime!

All right!

The pressure is on, literally.

Because today you are going to be putting together

a backflow prevention system.

They serve a great purpose:

if the water coming into a building backflows,

you can get contaminated water mixing with the water

that you want to drink.

People can get sick.

That backflow prevention system stops that from happening,

so that's why you see these all over the city.

There are seven major pieces that go on the two pipes

that are sticking out of the ground.

There are eight gaskets, and 68 nuts and bolts.

Once you've assembled all your pieces,

we're gonna turn the water on and test it for leaks.

You also have these lifts

with these chain hoists,

for lifting your heavy parts.

First of you to get it done,

going through to the final three--

joining Lia and Jerome.

If you finish last, you will be punching out.

Ready to get the job done? - Yeah. - Do it.

KEOGHAN: Let's do this!

- Yeah! - Let's go, guys!

♪ ♪

Time to go to work!

(work whistle blows)

- Okay! - Let's go, brother!

ELIZABETH: This is a pretty intense

overtime challenge,

because everything's heavy...

KEOGHAN: Elizabeth is moving her lift and chain hoist

into position.

ELIZABETH: ...there's a lot of strategy.

Tough As Nails is about how you handle that pressure.

KEOGHAN: Quincey is starting to assemble straightaway.

Elizabeth is laying out all her pieces.

She has the blueprint.

There's seven pieces,

eight gaskets,

and 68 nuts and bolts.

Quincey down on the ground, has one gasket in.

Elizabeth has all her seven pieces laid out on the ground,

getting her gaskets in.

Now Quincey grabs his

lift and his chain hoist.

KALIMBA: Come on, Quincey!

KEOGHAN: Quincey is hooking up one of the valve gates...

QUINCEY: As a mechanic, I use a lot of tools,

and when it comes to the pipe,

you got to put them together with the fans and the gasket--

same-same concept.

I hope that my experience work in my favor today.

CHRISTINE: There you go!

- It's almost equal. - It is almost equal.

LIA: Yeah.

KEOGHAN: Quincey and Elizabeth with three pieces so far.

Quincey is tightening bolts

just enough to hold them in place,

and then cinch up later.

SARAH: There you go. KEOGHAN: Meanwhile, Elizabeth

is cinching up really tight as she goes.

I-I don't think that's a good idea, but... we'll see.

ELIZABETH: I was concerned if I left bolts loose,

then when I went to tighten them, I might have leaks.

If you have leaks, you got to take it apart again,

so I was nervous about risking that.

KEOGHAN: Quincey is lifting the backflow preventer

up into position.

SARAH: Good work.

KEOGHAN: Hard to tell who's ahead at this point.

Elizabeth is tightening.

Quincey is trying to move ahead, get all his pieces in.

LIA: Nice, clean work, guys.

Anybody's game-- keep pushing, keep pushing!

(grunts)

ALFIE: What the heck? KEOGHAN: Elizabeth lifts that

backflow preventer, and now she's using the hoist.

She figured the hoist was a little slow--

she'd do it herself. - Yeah. (laughs)

KEOGHAN: Quincey grabs a gate valve.

This is his final piece.

HANGER: Oh, wow...

KEOGHAN: Has he got enough room to slide it into the gap?

LIA: Uh-oh.

Quincey's going back to move the elbow,

he needs a little room.

HANGER: His bolts are a little loose.

KEOGHAN: That'll help him out.

- Oh, wow... KALIMBA: Beautiful!

KEOGHAN: That slides in...

SARAH: You got it. KEOGHAN: Got to get

the gaskets in there. He's got one.

Elizabeth has her backflow preventer in.

QUINCEY: Elizabeth, she's making headway,

but I'm gonna try to focus on the task itself.

Because, you take your foot off the gas with her?

She gonna blow right past you.

KEOGHAN: This is another valve gate going on.

Quincey has his seven pieces done,

he's got his gaskets in--

but he's got a lot of tightening to do with bolts.

Elizabeth, two parts away from her full assembly,

but she's done a lot of tightening along the way.

Quincey starting to tighten up.

He's got to get everything cinched down.

TAK: Tighten it up!

There's a big gap on that pipe

underneath the elbow. (Quincey sighs)

QUINCEY: I had some trouble lining it up.

I've tightened down some of the bolts

a little bit too tight,

and it had everything off.

ALFIE: It's gonna leak.

QUINCEY: This could cost me big-time, today.

KEOGHAN: You can see the gasket sticking out...

(Quincey sighs) CHRISTINE: Figure it out, bro!

SARAH: Something's got to give...

CHRISTINE: Come on, Quincey. Move!

KEOGHAN: Two different approaches:

Quincey is the first to get his assembly complete,

but he's got a lot of tightening to do with bolts.

Elizabeth is tightening as she's going,

cinching everything super tight.

Two different strategies in play.

ELIZABETH: I know how strong I am,

so, I feel confident

I still have a good chance of beating him.

KEOGHAN: She's putting that straight section on.

There's an elbow left to go in.

Quincey has still got a lot of gap there.

QUINCEY: The only seals surround the opening of the pipe.

I double-check to make sure that I had a good seal.

I just got to tighten it up, and it's game on.

KEOGHAN: Quincey is tightening just like a great mechanic!

Elizabeth with all her pieces in place...

(Elizabeth yells)

...getting really frustrated with that one.

♪ ♪

Quincey, would you like a check? - Yes, sir.

KEOGHAN: Got to say, it still looks like you haven't gotten

that connection, but okay!

Here comes the water.

CHRISTINE: There's a quarter-inch gap!

LIA: Phil is gonna get soaked.

CHRISTINE: Quincey had confidence in his work,

and he's like, "I got this."

And we were all just like,

"Do you, though?" (laughs)

TAK: No, bro. No, no, no!

LIA: Ah...

♪ ♪

MIKE: Here comes the water, now.

I hear it. (water gushing)

Well, the vent's working.

Oh, wow! CHRISTINE: It's holding!

- Oh, wow. - Oh, it's holding...

- What? - ...no fricking way!

MIKE: Are you serious? It's holding?

CHRISTINE: Quincey, are you defying plumbers right now?

HANGER: Get out of here, get out of here!

- What? - It's holding.

CHRISTINE: What?

Yeah! (cheering)

(whooping)

(applause)

Quincey gets the job done!

I don't know how!

QUINCEY: It look like it got a gap there,

but it have a lip on them. It only seals around here.

All I need is a solid seal. Once the pressure hit it,

everything gonna tighten up and expand.

That was my wheelhouse--

just knowing how to put pipe together.

Quincey! Oh, my goodness! (laughing)

There's feeling of relief, there's feeling of happiness,

there's feeling of... that word again: redemption.

- O.T. O.G. for life! - Thank you, yeah! (laughs)

QUINCEY: I got one more shot to compete for the $200,000,

and the brand-new Ford Super Duty,

so I got to stay focused

and I'm gonna treat the final three

like one last overtime.

Quincey, this is the first time that anybody on Tough As Nails

has ever survived four overtimes!

(cheers and applause)

I am pleased to tell you that you will be in

the final three on Tough As Nails!

- Yes! - Nice job, Quincey!

KEOGHAN: Elizabeth, I want to congratulate you

on an amazing run.

Unfortunately, your journey on Tough As Nails

has come to an end, and I do need you to punch out.

ELIZABETH: When I started this journey

it was all about, you know, "You got to win."

There's something so much more important, being here,

than just winning.

And that's what I learned: that money isn't the prize

you're gonna win in this-- it's friendship.

You can lean on me.

ELIZABETH: I've never really opened up,

even to people close to me.

This is the first time in my life

I've really done that.

I am surrounded by people that are exemplary.

And it's really an honor that they accept me so much.

It's gonna help me to be a better boss, a better owner,

and a better friend.

(clicks)

KEOGHAN: Nice work.

Tomorrow we're going into the final three.

LIA: I couldn't have better company than you two

I'm blessed to have you here with me.

Likewise, Lia, likewise...

Calm heads, cool hearts. - Yes, sir.

LIA: Or hot hearts--

but you've got cool hearts, too.

You guys are... (laughs)

I messed it up. (laughs)

I definitely would have picked somebody else besides me

to be in the final three.

Like, you know, (laughs) Mike, or Christine...

Jack-of-all-trades, bro! (speaking Hawaiian)

You're gonna inspire a lot of people

who have been told that they can't do a lot of things,

just because they're not big enough or tall enough...

JEROME: Yeah, no more excuse!

- That would be great! - You know what I mean?

LIA: This has been such a great journey.

I found my tribe in my team.

We've pretty much bared our souls.

I think we got enough talent in this van

to get through anything. - That's right!

Although I was in Afghanistan almost a year straight,

I don't think that I experienced as many emotional

ups and downs as I have with our family

of competitors here.

The support I get from my team is a driving factor.

Yahoo!

And if I can harness all this badass-ness,

and keep my head in the game,

I have no doubt I could win.

Well, you guys inspire me.

(laughs) I mean, you never give up, Quincey.

And Jerome, you're just always

so like, "I got this!"

- (laughter) - Automatic!

(laughs) Automatic?

This whole journey was start from

the feeling of 'ohana,

and my Dirty Hands family.

Let's go, Dirty Hands!

No more "I" in teams.

Let's go!

We pick up each other, I mean,

even when I got so down on myself

I was gonna quit, my teammates said, "No, you're not.

Get up, at least show something,

you're not gonna quit."

then everybody else around you

I got to win this $200,000.

Can't even explain what that can do for my family.

QUINCEY: One of the lessons that I want to share with the world,

if everything's not going your way in the beginning,

you know, things take time, you got to have patience.

- Yeah. - Keep following your dream.

I'm feeling good about, you know,

my life and myself at this very moment.

I wanted redemption when I came here.

I wanted to prove a point for myself.

And I felt that redemption when me and my team

won the team challenge.

(yells)

Been a long, hard journey for me.

you know, that's the next chapter.

Welcome to the final challenge

on Tough As Nails: the gauntlet!

I love how everybody's

getting a sip of their tasty beverage here.

- (laughter) - They're rehydrating.

Get hydrated.

When you do, let me tell you about

the final challenge, which is a combination

of all the jobs

that you have faced during your journey on Tough As Nails.

When that work whistle blows,

grab one of the sledgehammers,

then start smashing your way through this wall.

You need to get all 30 pallets

through the wall to the other side

to create a series of steps.

On top of the next container

is a victim that weighs the same as you do.

Untie them and lower them

off the container,

then pull them up a slope to safety.

You'll then see a set of stairs

made out of tires-- undo those tires

and make another set of stairs,

so you can climb up on top of the next container.

In the next section,

there are some square metal pieces

that you need to cut into steps.

You need to make three cuts

to make six stairs.

Those stairs will wedge into the side of a container.

Climb up those steps,

and you will see a sledgehammer that's chained up.

raising your rope ladder to the finish line.

Hook the chain to your stakes, and then,

jump down into the final section,

climb up the rope ladder,

and the first of you to get up there

and grab a key fob,

gets the Ford Super Duty,

gets the $200,000,

gets the Tough As Nails belt,

and gets to sit in a rocking chair

and tell whoever will listen...

KEOGHAN: Oh, wow, so much force coming from Quincey!

He's thrown his hammer

through the drywall! HANGER: What the heck?

He's using his hands!

CHRISTINE: Go!

KEOGHAN: So much force coming from Quincey,

he's thrown his hammer through the drywall!

HANGER: What the heck-- he's using his hands!

KEOGHAN: Only three left in contention

for the Tough As Nails title. - (yells)

KEOGHAN: They need to get 30 pallets to the other side

and make a set of stairs,

so they can get on top of that container,

and save a victim that weighs the same as they do!

SARAH: All right, Lia, come on!

KEOGHAN: Jerome the first one to get the big hole.

ELIZABETH: Good job, Quincey!

SARAH: Good work, Lia, good work!

KEOGHAN: And Jerome gets a pallet through!

Quincey has two.

CHRISTINE: Come on, make your trips count.

KEOGHAN: There goes Lia, and now she's through!

Lia's coming back with her first two.

- Let's go, girl, yeah! - Another one for Quincey!

Jerome with his third.

LIA: It's a little daunting.

Quincey and Jerome,

they've been killing it.

So, I'm hoping that I can move

as fast as I can, but pace myself

so I don't wear myself out.

KEOGHAN: Jerome is the first to start stacking his pallets.

Quincey is getting as many through as he can.

There's only one more job left to do,

and I got to take the energy that I had

for the four overtimes and combine it.

It's destined that I be here.

I just got to, just finish the fight.

KEOGHAN: Quincey's barely got any room to work,

he's gonna have to clear this out.

And Lia with her first pallet down.

HANGER: There you go, Lia!

- Like, she's not even breathing hard yet.

- No, I think she's pacing herself really well.

KALIMBA: Yeah, yeah.

- Come on, Quincey!

KEOGHAN: Wow, Quincey has all his pallets

through the wall!

Now he just has to stack.

KALIMBA: The first quarter, Quincey!

First quarter!

KEOGHAN: Jerome has almost got all his pallets through.

TAK: Last two, Lia, then you're done with this one!

ELIZABETH: You got it, Quincey, last trip!

KEOGHAN: Lia finally has all her pallets through,

stacking to make her steps.

- There you go, take two, yes!

KEOGHAN: And Quincey going up and over!

(cheering)

- Good job, Quince!

KEOGHAN: He's going to save a victim

that weighs the same as he does!

- Nice and steady, you got it, Quincey!

KEOGHAN: One more for Jerome

and he can go up and over!

Lia with three on the ground.

CHRISTINE: Let's go, Lia!

KEOGHAN: Jerome getting up and over now!

- No mistakes!

TAK: Let's go, braddah!

KEOGHAN: Lia with two, she's right there with them!

SARAH: Come on, Lia!

- Nice job, Jerome! - You got this, Lia!

Plenty of time to catch up.

TAK: This is where you breathe, my dawg.

KEOGHAN: There you go, Lia, up and over, let's go!

Show them what you're made of!

- Let's go, Lia! - Good job, Lia!

KEOGHAN: We have a diesel mechanic,

a Jill-of-all-trades,

and a heavy equipment operator,

all going head-to-head!

CHRISTINE: Come on, Quincey, for your babies, let's go!

KEOGHAN: Fantastic technique coming from Lia.

Look at her thinking this through.

QUINCEY: When I got to the rope, it was pretty difficult.

But I didn't let it fluster me.

Hot heart, cool head.

You know, still got, you know, a lot more to go.

KEOGHAN: Jerome struggling with where those lines go.

But here comes Lia.

HANGER: Lia!

KEOGHAN: Close to getting her victim untied.

LIA: I work with ropes,

and I recognized some of the knots

were just slipknots.

You don't have to pull a full length through,

you just have to pop them out.

And I was, all of a sudden, ahead of them.

SARAH: Good work, Lia!

- Good job! - And over

the victim goes!

Down she comes from the container.

SARAH: Nice.

- (grunts) - Nice!

KALIMBA: They're okay, they're okay!

KEOGHAN: Jerome now has released his victim.

- There you go, Lia! - And Jerome jumping down!

SARAH: Come on, man, come on!

- And Lia's going over to the next section.

- Lia, come on! - Quincey, stay with it!

- Lord, give me strength...

KEOGHAN: Take a deep breath, Jerome, take a deep breath.

Lia, already at work on her tires!

CHRISTINE: Find the end, feed it through!

(grunts)

KEOGHAN: Jerome, taking a different tactic,

deciding to take all his lug nuts off

before he goes to his tires.

(drill whirring)

KEOGHAN: Quincey face-plants his victim.

Thankfully, they're not alive,

'cause boy, that would have hurt!

Lia moving her second tire over.

MIKE: Come on, Quincey!

- Jerome has his first tire down!

Quincey dragging his victim to safety!

Second tire down for Jerome.

HANGER: Get those tires up. KEOGHAN: Lia moving her

third one over into position.

- Good job, Lia! KEOGHAN: Quincey down!

Lia on to her fourth tire.

Jerome jumping down to his last.

Lia has four tires over.

Now she has to get those lug nuts off

so she can get her tires on,

and create these stairs.

Quincey removing all the lug nuts first,

just like Jerome did.

QUINCEY: I'm a mechanic by trade,

so I change tires every day.

It's right in my wheelhouse,

and I want to take advantage of it.

KEOGHAN: Jerome has already taken his lug nuts off,

that was a smart move.

Lia tightening her first tire into position.

wow, look how quick Quincey took those tires off!

HANGER: Way to make up some time, brother!

KEOGHAN: Look at the speed at which Jerome is working, here.

No mucking around!

Quincey's made up a huge amount of time!

CHRISTINE: Come on, Quincey!

KEOGHAN: Lia and Jerome, neck and neck,

racing to be our Tough As Nails champion!

Jerome knows how to use a grinder, so does Lia.

Got to cut six steps to get up on top

of this next container.

And then free a sledgehammer,

drive in two stakes to the blue line,

and then raise and climb the chain ladder to victory!

Quincey coming up and over.

- Good job, Quincey! - Let's go, Quincey!

KEOGHAN: Quincey down to the other side,

Lia's making the turn on her vice!

Jerome, also making a turn.

All three on the grinder at one time!

It looks like Lia's about to make her first step.

- Yeah, Lia! - Jerome right there with her!

- Lia walks this first step and puts it in!

Jerome's gonna go back and make a little bit

more of a cut with the grinder.

Man, this is close, isn't it?

- It's really close.

KEOGHAN: Oh, Lia comes back with her second step!

Jerome finally gets his first two steps done.

It's not pretty, but it's effective.

Quincey's getting down low,

he's yet to make his first two steps.

Lia's making a turn on her third and fourth step.

Quincey's got his first two steps done.

QUINCEY: Even though I'm behind,

tough people don't quit.

Finishing the job, and getting it done right,

that's what taking pride in your work means to me.

SARAH: Come on, Quincey, you're good!

KEOGHAN: Lia, one cut away from getting her steps in place.

ELIZABETH: Yeah, big dawg!

CHRISTINE: Come on, guys!

KEOGHAN: And Quincey gets his third and fourth step cut!

SARAH: One more, one more!

KALIMBA: There you go, Lia!

- And Lia gets her fifth and sixth steps cut!

Lia one step away from going up and over.

HANGER: Good job, Lia!

KEOGHAN: Lia's getting to the top.

Jerome working to cut his fifth and sixth steps!

And he finishes!

but we cannot count out Quincey.

He's gonna do this by hand.

CHRISTINE: How bad do you want it?

KEOGHAN: And Jerome up on top!

- Come on! - Dig deep!

KEOGHAN: Now Quincey goes up the steps!

ELIZABETH: Good job, Jerome, that's the way to do it.

KEOGHAN: Lia very close to releasing her sledgehammer,

then you start driving your spikes!

SARAH: Come on, Lia, way to stay focused!

KEOGHAN: Whatever you got in you,

this is the time to bring it.

- Yep, this is it! - Focus!

KEOGHAN: Lia's just seconds away

from releasing her sledgehammer, and she gets it!

- Good work! - Good job, Lia!

KEOGHAN: She's walking over to the spike,

you got to drive these spikes down to the blue line.

Lia starts hitting away, let's see how she goes with this.

This is like chopping wood. SARAH: Let's go, girl,

keep it like that. Nice motion!

KEOGHAN: Jerome is right there.

Quincey still tangled up in that chain.

HANGER: Let's go, Lia!

KEOGHAN: Lia is almost down to the blue line.

HANGER: Yeah!

KEOGHAN: Lia now on to her second spike!

Jerome struggling

with the last part of getting his sledgehammer out.

Quincey is really struggling with that chain.

Lia is steady as she goes!

HANGER: It's amazing, man.

KEOGHAN: Exhaustion setting in.

CHRISTINE: Come on, Lia!

This one's for your mom!

Let's go!

KEOGHAN: She goes to the chains now.

CHRISTINE: Come on, Jerome, jiggle the chain, get it loose.

KEOGHAN: She's got to pull

three times her body weight in chain!

SARAH: Find the rhythm, Quincey, find the rhythm!

ELIZABETH: You're still in it, Quincey.

- There you go!

Get a motion, get a motion!

ALFIE: One more, Lia! - Okay.

KEOGHAN: Lia moving on to her second chain!

Quincey's finally making some progress.

ELIZBETH: Come on, Jerome, you got it, stay calm.

SARAH: Way to dig, Lia, keep fighting!

KEOGHAN: Lia continues to pull, she's counting.

Using it as a way to motivate herself.

- Nine...

KEOGHAN: Jerome still fighting that chain!

- Ten...

KEOGHAN: There's just a little bit more for Lia!

Quincey finally gets his sledgehammer.

CHRISTINE: Strike through, Quincey!

- And some fantastic hits coming from Quincey.

Got to get down to the blue line.

And he gets it done, record time,

about six hits. - Come on, Jerome!

KEOGHAN: Jerome, still stuck on his sledgehammer.

Quincey, not giving up!

And here comes Lia. - Come on, Lia!

KELSY: Lia, get up there, Lia!

ELIZABETH: You are still in this, Quincey, fight!

Lia, clicking in.

Lia now looking to climb!

(cheering)

CHRISTINE: All you got to do is climb!

SARAH: All day!

Hell yeah, Lia,

KEOGHAN: This for $200,000, a Ford Super Duty,

but Quincey will not give up!

(cheering)

KEOGHAN: Lia going to the top, and...

I didn't realize how much they really carry me,

and I carry them.

KEOGHAN: After heading home from Tough As Nails,

superintendent Alfie went right back to work,

beginning construction on a brand-new high-rise.

- Back at the grind!

KEOGHAN: Cement mason Sarah is about

to put her life skills to work, breaking ground

on a new house on her gramp's land.

Hanger is sharing his 31 years' experience

teaching woodwork at a local high school.

Kalimba has gone back to her roots,

moving to a station on the north side of Minneapolis.

Christine is scaling new heights,

becoming a structural welding

and bolting inspector as she continues to learn

about every aspect of the construction industry.

Lineman Mike is keeping the power on

through the cold winter of upstate New York

and cherishing every moment with his family.

General contractor Elizabeth

continues to be "tough as nails" on her job sites,

as well as performing aerial acrobatics in the circus.

Diesel mechanic Quincey received his certification

to train heavy equipment operators.

Crop-duster Kelsy went home

to her busiest spring season to date.

In the off-season,

she'll be working on various gigs

using the life skills that her dad taught her.

Jerome went back to his loving family in Hawaii

and still turns up to work with a big smile on his face.

Tak is working on wedding plans,

and training his new son how to hang ten.

- Everybody gather around.

KEOGHAN; As for our season three winner Lia, well,

she's rocking it out on the farm,
