I'm not happy that I'm out

of the individual competition, because,

yeah, the money could help.

But I do know I can still win money with my team.

I'm all about my family, my crew, my people.

-I feel the same way. -If I win, I want everybody to win.

As a fire captain, I like working with a team,

because then you can bring out people's strengths

and people can cover you on your weaknesses.

This would've hurt-hurt me more, to not be able to help you guys.

I couldn't ask for a better team.

-really pull ahead. -One thing I learned being in the military

that's, you know, crucial is

be hungry but also humble.

We came in there a little cocky.

In the last team challenge, there was times

where people's egos got in the way, I think.

I think that that will get us a long way.

ELIZABETH: When we lost our team challenge,

some people were so upset about the loss

that my constructive criticism

really hurt 'em hard.

This is a really strange competition.

It really messes with you in a lot of ways psychologically.

You know? I'm really harsh with myself.

Maybe I was harsher than most people

are used to receiving. And so I want to apologize to you guys.

ALFIE: For Elizabeth to apologize is huge,

because it lets you know that her heart is in the right place.

When the work whistle blows, you are going

to empty everything out of those trucks

and deliver it all to four rooms:

two on the fourth floor and two on the third.

On your workstations is a manifest.

You need to follow the plans exactly.

Find out where each piece of furniture needs to go.

You can do that by looking at

the company directory in the lobby.

Make sure you get the office managers

to sign off on your manifests.

The first team to deliver all the furniture and make their way

back to the truck with four signed manifests

will be our winning team today.

The bad news is

that there are lots of stairs for you to negotiate.

The good news is that there's stairs.

Just from growing up in the hood,

I probably moved 17 times.

My dad came here

with nothing from Chile, so...

we obviously didn't start in Beverly Hills. (chuckles)

We started in Liberty City, Miami.

It's a-- it's a rough neighborhood.

When we were doing laundry, half the time,

they were robbing the 7-Eleven next door.

We just knew to lay down.

My mother would say, "Close your eyes

and you didn't see nothing."

My father, as he was working a lot of jobs,

bettering our life,

we were moving from spot to spot to spot to spot.

Moving was nothing new to me.

QUINCEY: Strategy is to make sure that,

as the furniture was coming out of the box truck,

it was already being separated by rooms.

So we knew that each pile was designated to one room.

We just had to get it to that particular room.

-Okay. Go, go, go, go. -Get back.

There's four sheets that have to be

signed off. So we're trying

to place the items according to that room.

ALFIE: The challenge that we're facing today is huge

because it starts in the back of a truck,

it goes into a building,

then it divides itself into multiple rooms

in multiple locations

in multiple floors.

You could easily lose control

and have stuff going in wrong directions.

KEOGHAN: Here comes Dirty Hands with the first piece

of furniture.

It is a desk.

-Good job, you guys. -Come on.

KALIMBA: My job as a firefighter has prepared me for this.

I have fought fires where the elevator's out

and we have to go up eight floors

and then maybe carry a victim down

and then have to go back up.

So, stairs are never my favorite,

-but you just have to keep on moving. -Everyone, it's this way.

-I'm telling you. -KEOGHAN: It's about the length of a football field

when you make your way from the truck to the offices.

So make every trip count.

This is gonna test your endurance,

also your attention to detail.

Today we chose Alfie as the crew boss

because he is a superintendent

and he deals with

running big operations.

ALFIE: This is all first room, correct?

KEOGHAN: Savage Crew coming in,

checking the directory for the first time.

Our last team challenge, I don't think

our communication was good enough.

Today, to succeed,

we have to just communicate

and work diligently together.

KEOGHAN: The elevators are out.

It's all about going up and down the stairs today.

This will come down to who comes up

with the best strategy to save

their energy and avoid costly mistakes.

That little plant was between those.

HANGER: As a carpenter,

you're constantly climbing ladders,

stairs, scaffolding.

We need a whiteboard. And then we're complete on that 446.

So, my strength is stamina.

at a good pace.

He just has that chair on his head like it's a hat.

because, as a lineman, we need to memorize

I definitely used to struggle with my self-worth sometimes.

I limbo between am I good enough,

or am I not good enough?

I want to prove that I'm worth it

and that I'm meant to be here.

HANGER: Going through this competition, I think about

what legacy am I gonna leave?

How am I gonna be remembered?

Being dyslexic, it doesn't define me as a person.

I want my daughter to look at me and say,

"Hey, Dad, I'm so proud of you."

And, "You left everything on the table,

you gave everything you had."

Christine and Hanger, this job is all about

organization and attention to detail.

There are two piles of packages that need to be delivered.

When the work whistle blows,

you'll be going to the two piles,

and you will be sorting the boxes

by which ones are standard,

and which ones are overnight.

30 packages will be going overnight,

and you will know which boxes when you scan them,

using one of these scanners right here.

You point it at the QR code,

and if it says overnight, you'll know that

that package needs to go in that truck.

If it says standard, it doesn't go in the truck.

Freight Train's going to be checking your work,

and once you have all 30 packages scanned and sorted,

get the thumbs-up from him so you can start packing boxes

into your truck.

It's a tight fit, I will tell you that right now.

This is kind of like a game of Tetris

-using a truck and some boxes. -(laughter)

The first of you to get all of your 30 packages

into the back of the truck and close the back,

you will stay in contention for the Tough As Nails title.

If you finish this challenge last,

you will be punching out.

HANGER: I'm three-quarters there and I'm thinking,

"It's not going to fit." And my adrenaline's flowing.

Hanger has one medium-sized box that he's trying to fit in...

-It won't close. -...but no!

MIKE: Hanger's got one box left, I'm looking

at Christine, I'm like, "Oh, wow, she's catching up."

My heart's going crazy.

I'm like, "Hanger, you got this."

HANGER: I'm pushing this last box in.

It's not going in. I'm doing everything I can.

I'm not gonna give up.
