Welcome to a brand-new neighborhood.

Amazingly,

there are one million homes built

in the United States every year.

Two beautiful homes behind you.

The front lawns need a little TLC.

Everything you need to beautify

these front lawns is sitting out right in front of you.

We've got some lush sod,

volcanic rock mulch,

a tree that you're gonna plant,

flowers, concrete bricks

that need to be cut.

Your plans for how to get the job done

are on your tables. You'll be following those.

Everything has to be put

exactly where the plan tells you to put it.

Pay careful attention to all the details,

like the order of the different flowers along the path.

Now, because the power hasn't been hooked up

in the neighborhood yet, you're gonna be using your Ford F-150

as a mobile generator.

They have Pro Power Onboard

that generates up to 7.2 kilowatts of power.

And you're gonna need that to power up the circular saws

that you'll use to cut angles on concrete bricks

so they fit perfectly around your tree.

By the time this is over, you're gonna be dirty.

I know I was dog-tired.

Today is actually the first daythat my body feels

somewhat beat up, to a certain extent.

I have a rod going from my knee to my ankle.

Do you mind me asking, like, how did the accident happen?

We were cutting rail

and, you know, the train moved forward

and it just ran over my foot.

You know? And it just sucked me in.

That's how my shin broke.

That's terrifying.

I don't even know how I'm here.

I don't even know how I still have my leg,

because they wanted to cut my leg off.

And I told them no.

I remember everything vividly, to this day.

I was in the hospital for almost two months.

So I've had approximately ten surgeries.

One doctor told me, "We need you to sign this paperwork

because we're going to have to cut your leg off."

They told me that I wasn't going to be able to walk.

They told me I wasn't going to be able to run.

They told me a lot of things that

I was not letting them tell me

what I couldn't do,

and I wanted to show my son,

no matter what, never give up.

I'm just thankful that I have my life, you know?

I'm just thankful for this whole opportunity

do you think each orange tree

can produce every year?

Picking oranges is one of

the toughest jobs out there.

That's what you're going to be doing today.

First thing you'll need is one of these picking satchels.

The other thing a ladder,

because some of the fruit is up in high places.

Got to think about where to go in the grove

because it is first come, first served.

The goal today is to pick

100 pounds of oranges.

You're going to be picking two boxes full of small oranges

and two boxes full of large oranges.

Roughly 25 pounds each.

The way you grade your oranges is using this device right here.

Roll it down the gauge.

That'd be a small.

That would be a large.

You check the weight of your boxes.

Need to make sure that you have

at least 25 pounds in each box.

Then put them on your large scale.

When you have 100 pounds...

...it'll tip the scale, and you'll have the job done.

Remember, the last two to get the job done today

will be going into overtime. One of you will be punching out.
