for a few football teams.

This is one of Major League
Soccer's most prized stadiums.

Today, you're gonna get
an appreciation

for what it takes to keep

a beautiful stadium
like this functioning.

It takes the workers here
28 hours to transform

this field from a soccer field
into a concert venue,

and another 28 hours
to put it back again.

Wow.

You're standing
on some plastic tiles

that were the floor
for a concert.

There was a major concert here,

so I told the crew
that they could

leave a little bit of the job
for you guys to finish off,

and there's still quite a bit
of work to get done.

Each team is responsible for

getting this stadium
back ready for a soccer match.

When the work whistle blows,

you have to pick
these interlocking tiles up.

There are 90 of them
on each side of the field.

Carry them and put them
on the pallets over there.

The other thing
you have to do is

you have to install
the soccer goals.

They're heavy.

Then you need
to paint out the lines

on the soccer field,
plant two corner flags.

The first team to complete
the job will win $12,000.

I knew the lines were gonna take a little while,

because you have
to be meticulous about it.

on a football field before

back in high school,
20-some-thousand years ago.

I got up, like, at 3:00
and couldn't get back to sleep.

I had mentioned something

us being down a guy.

It's not like I don't think

I've been looking up
to Sarah since day one

because she's inspiring.

So to have a woman say that,

I deal with men doubting

It definitely came out wrong.

As soon as I said it,

I've always had respect for you,

that-- I don't see
any women welders out there.

You know, I barely see any women

that's even
at the construction site.

You probably have guys that just
follow you around, saying stuff

I got into construction

I went to college,
and after I graduated

I was working in coffee shops

gonna make a living

and I found
the cement masons, and...

getting my union job
changed my life.

It gave me that living wage,

it gave me the benefits
I was looking for.

It put me in a position
where I was comfortable

to start a family.

We just need to keep
changing the culture,

changing how it looks

so that, you know, little girls
walking by jobsites,

We're gonna kick off
with the individual competition.

Angel, since you've punched out,
you'll be with me today.

Well, if you take a look
around you here,

you'll see
that there are 22,000 seats.

And after an event or a game,

sometimes some
of those seats get broken.

You'll see that there are
some gaps in the seating.

Your job today
is to replace the missing seats.

I took yesterday's loss
kind of hard.

But going into individuals,
this competition sounds like

it's right in my wheelhouse.

I'm really good with tools.

I just have to give it
everything that I have.

When the work whistle blows,

race up into the stands and find

a workstation at the top
of one of the nine sections.

First come, first served.

Follow all the instructions
carefully.

All the tools you need
to build your seats are laid out

at the workstations.

You need to build seven seats

and then install them
in the correct spot.

Pay careful attention
to the seat numbers.

the last two of you

to get the job done
will be going into overtime,

and by the end of the day,

one more of you
will be punching out,

losing your shot at the $200,000

and that all-new
Ford F-150 truck.

My strategy

is to get there first,
before anybody else does,

so I can start assembling
as fast as I can.

on the workstations.

so they can get to work sooner.

I'm good.

I'm a little bit worried
for Knuckles.

It's kind of like
how I got in my challenge.

It was really, really simple,

but I made it much more
than it was.

Everybody getting
their chairs built.

They each have to build seven,

then take them down

into the stands and put them
in the correct spots.

This is the chair...

This challenge is
just very, very

technical, so I'm nervous.

I don't use tools a lot
in my work. I use trowels.

I'm, like, literally using
my body as my tool.

Let's see...

Remember, the last two today

going into overtime.

Relax.

The first step is taking

the bottom of the chair
and adding

the weight onto it.

What the ... ?

Stupid.

Then I get to part B,

and I mess up on part B.

Oh, my.

You got these two things
that hook into the seat,

and every time I tried
to screw it in,

it wasn't hooking in right.

So I need to take a deep breath.

I figured out how to hook it
in and then it was

just muscle memory.
Just...

And then
you're moving on to the arms

and that's another bit.

So my process is just
to do every process

slow and steady

and just keep everything moving.

Being a nurse,

I'm very good
with following instructions,

'cause if you miss any steps,

that's when
you make a medication error,

and that's when
you could harm your patient.

What is this?

But... I don't always
work with tools.

I've worked with
a power drill before,

but interlocking
and changing them?

You know, that's new for me.

This is not about strength,
this challenge.

This is about
attention to detail.

I love building things.

I assemble all kinds of furniture for my wife, and--

It's high-stakes LEGOS!

Give me a big package of LEGOS

and say, "Put this together."

Cool. I got it.

I think I'm pretty good

with an impact drill.

You know,
even though I flew planes,

when I had downtime

I loved to get with
the maintenance guys,

because seeing
the little parts and pieces

helped me understand

how the aircraft
would function better.

See how much faster I'm getting
after the third or fourth one?

she will be doing
a lot of running up and down.

and now they've got

and you've got to figure out
which row it's in

and what seat it is.

Just like in the hospital,
we wear many hats,

and I'm used to this.

Celi and Knuckles, welcome to
the Figueroa Club Bar.

Beer is the most popular
alcoholic drink on the planet.

Well, you've got some thirsty
customers here, and today,

your overtime is making sure
that you quench their thirst.

When that work whistle blows,

you're gonna run
behind the bar,

you're gonna go into the cooler,
and you're gonna see that

there are some empty kegs

that you need to replace.

You'll find replacement kegs
outside, parked next to

the Ford Super Duty trucks.

Pay careful attention

to the labels on the kegs.

The different types of beer
need to be connected

to the correct lines
so that when the beer flows,

you get the right beer
coming through the tap.

The other thing you have to do
is you have to load

all the empty kegs

into the back
of one of those trucks,

and shut the tailgate.

Once you have properly
connected your kegs,

you then need to pour
five beers.

You'll know that you've done
a correct pour

when you've got no more
than one inch of foam

at the top of your glass.

That's a perfect pour
right there.

The first person to replace
the five kegs,

pour five beers correctly
will stay in contention

for the Tough As Nails
individual title.

If you finish last today,
you will be punching out.

There's a lot on the line.
There's that $200,000,

and, of course, the all-new
Ford F-150 truck.

Celi, Knuckles, are you ready?

-Yeah.

This to stay in the Tough As
Nailsindividual competition.

In that freezer,
it is cold.

When I first went in the cooler and saw the taps,

I did have this moment of panic.
Again, I'm like, "Okay, this is

the complicated thing where I'm
gonna get in my own head,"

but it really easily came out,
so I'm feeling pretty good.

Wow, right away, Knuckles is
rolling out of here.

Celi right behind her.

Remember, they've got to replace
five kegs each,

and they have to be
the correct kegs.

Who will be the first
to get their kegs

loaded onto the dolly?

Knuckles has found
her correct keg.

Gotta look at those labels,
make sure you got the right one.

This is the Work Whistle beer.

Celi also going with
the Work Whistle beer.

Go, Celi!

Hooking up a beer keg to a line is very similar

to starting an IV.
You want to have

that needle in a good position

so you can have great
blood flow.

If you don't position
the adapter,

you're gonna get beer
everywhere.

And if you blow an IV line,

you're gonna get blood
everywhere.

So it's very similar.

Oh, that's the sound
of a beer shower

going on back there.

Knuckles coming back,
ready to pour her first beer.

My experience pouring beers

is, like, keg parties
in college.

It's been many, many,
many years, so...

I know I want to keep
the cup at an angle,

but that's literally
all I can remember.

Celi coming through
to pour her first beer.

-Come on, Celi.
-Go, Celi.

Grab me a glass.

Oh, a lot of foam coming through
into the glass for Celi.

-First beer down for Knuckles...

...and she's moving outside now
with the second keg.

Celi's still pouring
too much foam.

To pour a good glass
of beer,

Do not do it how I did it.

Celi, she's not pouring
correctly.

You have to open
the tap completely,

put it up against the glass
and let it pour,

and then the foam
will be less.

There you go. That's it.

Celi with her first beer poured.

After a couple pours,
I got the hang of it.

At this point, Knuckles is
ahead of me.

There you go. Knuckles,
her second beer pour.

-Going out now for
the third keg.

She's got a system rolling.

Got a little bit of a lead.

All I have to do
is maintain that.

Celi with her red ale.

Let's go!

Knuckles has dropped her keg.

That could foam it up.

Those kegs get shaken up,
it creates a lot of foam

when they come through
the pipes.

There you go, Liz.
There you go.

Oh, my gosh. Ugh!

-I'm touching the keg,

and I somehow pull the lever
that, like, pressurizes it

before it's totally connected,

and I'm showered in beer.

I wish it had gotten in my mouth
more than on my shirt,

but I'm trying to stay focused, I'm trying to calm myself down.

Yeah, that's what you're on.

Too much foam on that one.

I could feel myself
getting into that,

that frantic mindset.

This is mine to lose
at this point.

Celi with her second beer.

-She's got her pours
dialed in now.

Chasing down Knuckles,
who's pouring lots of foam

on her third beer.

Nice work.

-Knuckles with her
third beer poured.

-There you go.
By the end of the day,

one of you
will be punching out.

Here comes knuckles now,
trying to get ahead of Celi.

But Celi cuts her off
at the pass.

And look at this.
It's like NASCAR.

Look at this,
going around the outside. Whoo!

They are hustling,
Freight Train,

They are hustling.

Celi and knuckles
jostling for space

to get the job done.

Whoa, close dropping.
Here comes Knuckles.

Celi's moving on
to her third beer,

Knuckles moving on
to her fourth.

Nice pour.
Look at this pour.

Pretty perfect pour
coming from Knuckles.

You gotta wait for that
to clear.

Celi gets her third beer
poured. She's going back.

She wants to tie this up.

Knuckles waiting for the foam
to go. That's it.

-Gimme my beer.
I want my beer!

Knuckles with her
fourth beer poured.

One more to go for Knuckles.

Celi showing real strength
as she launches a keg

into the back of the truck.

Knuckles, she's got to get
all these empty kegs

on the back of the truck,
get that job done first.

Then she's got to come back
and pour one more beer.

-Go! Go!

Knuckles has loaded her truck.

One more beer,
a Tough As Nails IPA,

onto the dolly for Knuckles.

If that is a good pour,
she will get the win

here in this overtime.

As Celi comes in
to pour her fourth beer.

I'm so close.

And I just have to keep going.

I have to steal the deal.

Perfect.

Here comes Knuckles.

-Knuckles coming down
for one more.

One more pour coming
from Knuckles,

but Celi isn't giving up.

She's going back
for the Tough As Nails IPA.

Knuckles' final pour.

-And she gets the win!

-I'm so excited I get

to see another day of, like, trying to make that final prize.

I lost the individual challenge,
because I got in my own way.

This is another chance
to show that you can reset,

you can be calm in the storm.

But I'm hoping
I can avoid overtime

at all costs.

I was doing this
for a lot of people,

and even people
that don't know me,

and I really wanted
to make my family proud.

Be proud of yourself.

I made myself proud,
because I've proved

I'm just as tough
as everyone else on this team.

I can keep up, and if it wasn't

gonna be me,
it has to be one of you.
