There's about two million farmers in the United States,

and today you are going to be picking up 40-pound straw bales.

To get the job done,

you will be using a Ford F-150 truck and trailer.

When that work whistle blows, each team needs to pick up

100 bales, spread out in three rows.

It's gonna take you three trips.

One row per load and deliver them to the barn

way off in the distance there. Once you get over

to your barn, you have to stack 'em.

This job is spread out over a big distance.

Good communication and planning is going to be

a key factor.

It's not just about muscling it.

First team to get it done will win...

For me, when I used to play football,

I'm not in the locker room thinking about...

how good my opponent is.

I don't care how big, how strong you are.

My mindset is "I'm gonna beat you."

I watch over a few crews,

working high-voltage lines every day.

I'm always pretty composed, and I'm good at delegating, so...

I got supervisor experience.

In my current job,

Patrick's gonna drive. That's the first role.

That's the most obvious one.

And then me and Angel loading them on the trailer

and Iraida and Liz stacking the bales.

Both teams getting through this challenge very, very quickly.

one person here, 'cause we need them out there.

of doubting Zeus's strategy.

This is when the hard work really begins,

getting those straw bales off the trailer

so we're holding them up on our shoulders.

I'm used to picking up heavy patients.

When I was a teenager, I was a busgirl,

so we used to hold a lot of dishes on a tray,

and it was probably about the same weight.

I'm pretty strong.

I'm gonna stay on top of the trailer,

and then I'm gonna help them put it on their shoulder

so they don't have to do everything.

will be going up against each other in overtime.

So, you'll start off working with each other.

The final pair will then be going against each other.

And by the end of the day, one of you will be punching out,

'cause there will be only one Tough As Nails champion.

Scott, because you won the last individual competition,

you're gonna get to pick the pairs.

You got to think very carefully about this.

Being a supervisor and a superintendent,

I pair people up to work in groups all the time.

I'm focused on winning this challenge

and staying out of O.T.

For me, I'm choosing Sarah.

Sarah has been just so strong.

We communicate well, and that's gonna be a key thing.

I'm excited to work with people from their team,

just to get to know each other, but I'm a little bit nervous,

because we're gonna have to be calm with the sheep,

and Celi's a very excitable person.

I know Angel is a strong competitor.

and can get things done and has a lot of knowledge,

so I hope they kind of mess things up

The first strategy, I guess,

going into it wasn't working.

My job, uh, as a power line technician,

we can stay pretty calm under pressure.

You need to be a hundred percent all the time,

because that two percent you're not is

basically when you're gonna lose your life.

I'm seeing that we have to work together in order

to move forward with the competition.

Everybody got the job done

except for Angel and Freight Train,

who are missing one sheep.

You remember when you lost that one sheep, earlier on?

That was your winning sheep. It was in the pen.

And it jumped out.

That was a integrity challenge.

Once we figured out what we needed to do,

if we had done that in the beginning,

we would've got done a lot sooner.

We were trying to walk that edge between competition and helping.

It was crazy.

I respect the people that do this for a living.

The skill to herd sheep--

I have never done that in my life.

I've never even been around a sheep in my life.

I'm glad we did it this way 'cause, if not,

we would've been running all day.

You were so close. It literally came down to one sheep.

I feel bad for Angel,

because I hear his story.

I don't need this like Angel does.

And it makes me feel bad

that I might have to take him out of the competition.

This guy's awesome.

He need, he needs this.

And I really appreciate him and, you know,

uh, he's a great guy, too.

since you were the last to get the job done, that does mean

that you will be going into overtime.

is making two horseshoes.

You'll be forging a piece of steel

using heat and the tools that you see in front of you.

You get stuck, go to your book.

You have an anvil.

You have a forge

that heats up your metal.

Once it's heated up, you can work with it.

Working with these tools, you need to make

two perfect horseshoes.

You'll know that they're perfect when they fit into this gauge.

If it fits in there nice and flush

and you can run this over the top of your horseshoe...

that'll be a perfectly-made horseshoe.

The first person

to shape their piece of steel,

punch two holes for the nails

and then hang two complete horseshoes

where I don't know something and I figure it out, so...

But, unfortunately, I got to think about my life, too,

somebody from Savage Crew 'cause it's bittersweet

trying to take out one of your own teammates.

Angel is so tough of-- as a competitor.

tough to beat in this challenge.

I feel extremely confident

because, at work, I have experience using my hands.

of the metal as it's heated.

That orangish color makes it pliable

where you could bend it.

That darker red

is where you can actually start

to punch but not go all the way through,

and that-that dark gray color is where you get that hole

actually through there and nail it into that post.

Angel, don't get desperate.

Angel has got his piece of steel on the ground,

trying to pick it up with his tongs.

He needs to slow down.

I'm just focusing on me.

I know how fast he's moving. He's got to be ahead of me.

But he's run out of heat.

My whole process is to stay slow, steady,

less of the running back and forth.

If you don't put the shoe in the heat long enough,

it's not gonna bend fast enough.

So, there is a lot of standing around.

And then when it gets out the heat, that's when

you have to start moving fast, 'cause then you got to beat it.
