Previously on The Amazing Race Canada Heroes Edition...
Fly back home to Canada!
The racers flew home, where a road trip
through Southern Ontario had Leanne and Mar
fighting for their lives at Stratford.
Oh!
We're in dead last.
Martina and Phil wrapped up...
Argh!
...before Courtney and Adam at one side of the detour.
Push it.
But it was a bittersweet victory,
as the first responders beat them to the mat.
So close. It's just like, "Aah!"
On the other side of the detour,
Dylan and Kwame were a little too close for comfort
for Nancy and Mellisa.
- Let's follow them. - Come on, you guys.
But their persistence paid off,
as the elite athletes led them straight to the mat.
You leeches, you.
Taylor and Courtney were the first team surprised
to find me at the mat...
Jon is there?!
You two are the first team to arrive.
...winning their second leg of the race.
That's City Hall.
But arriving last...
You are the last team to arrive.
...it was Zainab and Monica that escaped elimination
- for the second time... - You're still racing.
...as they were surprised, like all teams,
the race is still going.
What?!
Now, all seven teams are still racing to win
the all-new 2018 Chevrolet Traverse Red Line,
a once in a lifetime trip for two around the world,
a quarter of a million dollars cash,
and The Amazing Race Canada.
Taylor, Courtney, well, as you guys might know,
there are two acts to every play.
Here's your clue for act two.
You two are still racing.
- Oh. - We're still first?
You're still first. Rip and read.
Make your way to Canada's largest city,
Toronto, Ontario.
Teams will hit the road and make their way down highway 401
to Canada's largest city, Toronto, Ontario,
and locate City Hall.
It's here, on the busy streets of Toronto,
where the remaining seven teams are about to get a look
at some of the hidden and quirky surprises
this city has to offer.
Caution, double U-turn ahead.
Wild!
Drive safe, you guys.
Alright, we're off like a bat out of hell again.
It feels good to keep on racing because we have a lead.
I would not be surprised if we were U-turned.
I'm not a fan of the U-turns.
Courtney and Adam, Martina and Phil, catch your breath.
- Yes! - Time's up.
Here's your next clue. You're still racing.
No! I'm so tired!
Jon said keep on racing.
Just be prepared for anything.
We got second place!
We're still racing so it's not second place till we finish.
Oh, my dear god.
We are headed back to Toronto's the largest city.
"Toronto's largest city."
We're headed back to Canada's largest city.
Caution, double U-turn ahead.
My heart is saying, "Don't,"
but my head is saying, "Absolutely."
You can't count nothing out on this game, let me tell you.
Now we're going to Toronto?
We are going to Toronto.
- We're going home. - We're going home.
We're still very much in this race.
Thank god!
Being in the city really turns up the heat.
City Hall is just right there.
Here, at Toronto's iconic City Hall,
teams will drop off their Chevrolet Equinox,
and make their way to the hidden observation deck
on the 27th floor, as they scan the city to spot this flag
which reveals the location of their next clue.
Alright, Tay!
- Going to the top floor. - Thanks.
Look at this, look at this.
Wow!
Let's go stand up on these stairs and see if it's there.
Okay, see this white building there?
You take everything this side. I'll take everything this side.
And then we'll switch.
So... the big flag right there?
Boom!
Teams must now locate and make their way
to Yonge and Dundas Square,
this one-acre public meeting place surrounded
by giant billboards and video screens,
is one of Canada's brightest and busiest intersections.
Once here, they'll find their next clue.
Okay, let's go. Run, Tay, we've gotta trot.
Ooh!
Hello, Toronto!
Is this City Hall?
I don't even really know where we are right now.
Queen's Quay West is where we are.
So I think we're going the wrong direction, babe.
We're lost again.
Do you want to go look up there?
Okay.
We're looking for a yellow and red flag.
- Oh, I see it! - Where?
Right over there.
Let me grab the compass.
Like, Yonge Dundas Square.
Using my map, I know that's east.
- Let's go, hon. - Okay!
Okay, this is large.
It's like Dundas Mall or something.
- I see it. - Oh, good eye, Tay.
Yeah-ha-ha!
Who's ready to spark up this roadblock?
In this two-part roadblock, racers must perfectly pack
and park a 2018 Chevrolet Spark.
First, racers will need to fit all these urban essentials
into the car's trunk and back seat,
leaving the front passenger seat empty,
and an unobstructed sightline from the rearview mirror.
Once the car is successfully packed,
they must precisely reverse the Spark,
with the help of the rear vision camera,
through this marked course, to park it in this tight space,
without knocking over any of the cones.
When completed, the OnStar advisor
will give them their next clue.
Thank you for calling OnStar.
My name's Delores. How can I help you?
Do you want to do it? I did the last one.
- Yeah, I'll do this one. - Okay.
I'm looking at all these items,
and I'm like, there's no way this is gonna fit into that.
The ladder first.
This is gonna be a tough one for him.
I'm not going to lie. My mom helped me pack
my bag before the race.
Zainab and Monica, the show must go on.
Here's your next clue.
You're still racing. Rip and read.
You got more to do.
What?!
We were saved in the second leg,
and now we're saved again.
We're hoping that the first few teams
U-turned each other.
That way, that'll buy Monica and I more time.
Toronto City Hall...
- Go to the elevators. - Yeah.
We're looking for a marker that will be our destination.
It's got to be a flag.
Toronto!
Mar's gone.
We're home, Mar-Mar!
- Do you see anything? - This thing?
Yeah, this is City Hall.
Leanne and Mar just showed up.
Dylan and Kwame are going inside.
Boys. Nice driving, guys.
Mel, what do you see over there?
Oh, right there. I see it.
Oh, yeah! Good eye!
Okay, we've got to get there.
- Okay. - Hey, guys.
We just saw Nancy and Mellisa leaving.
Oh!
Mar, where is it?
It's on top of Dundas Square.
Let's go, baby.
What? Keep looking.
Do you guys know where City Hall is?
- It's right here. - Is it here?
This one? Thank you very much.
I'm feeling frustrated right now.
People are passing us.
That's why I'm super stoked about second place
and we keep racing.
Just can't seem to get ahead, the two of us.
How does this look?
That's a lot of stuff. That's a lot of stuff.
Well, that might be a tough sell.
Check!
It doesn't obstruct my view.
I should be okay.
- It's good. - Awesome.
- Thanks, man. - Yeah, no problem.
Alright. Yeah, on to the next one.
Now I have to move on to part two,
which is putting the Chevrolet Spark into reverse.
Alright.
And going through a cone course.
I'm hoping Tay performs well.
When we were in RCMP training, we had to get in a car,
and we had to reverse it between a really complex bunch of cones.
I have high hopes.
- Oh, it's right there. - Please move!
- Move, move, move! - Excuse me!
Sorry!
Who's ready to spark up this roadblock?
I'll do it. I'll do it.
No items can be placed in the front seat or be hanging
over between the front seats. Argh!
Argh! Come on!
Please, go in! Argh!
Argh! Check, please!
Okay. It's okay.
It's super slippery, so be super careful!
It's here. It's right there.
Who's ready to spark up the roadblock?
- I can. - You want to do it?
Yeah.
- Me? - Yeah.
Okay.
My strategy is just to compress and consolidate
as much as I can,
so I can make as much area to see out the window.
I pack lots of stuff for the rodeos,
so we'll see what I can get done.
- You've got this, Mar! - I am a minimalist.
I don't even own this much stuff.
Attempt number three.
You're doing well, Tay!
Don't go too far back!
There she be.
Thank you for Calling OnStar.
My name is Delores. How can I help you?
I hope you have a clue for us.
Congratulations on completing the challenge.
Now you need to make your way to the Monkey's Paw by TTC,
and search for your next clue.
Using only the TTC,
Toronto's famous public transit system,
teams must now make their way to the Monkey's Paw.
This unique bookstore, stocked with rare books,
is home to the Biblio-Mat,
the world's first book vending machine.
Once here, teams must pop in a token...
and the Biblio-Mat will spit out a book and their next clue.
Racers will also find the double U-turn,
which gives two teams the opportunity to slow down
two other teams, by forcing them to complete
both sides of the detour.
We have to use public transit.
Excuse me! On your left, on your left.
Thanks.
Where do we buy tickets?
Right here, Court. To the right.
There's a very strong chance we're gonna get lost.
Come on, Martina.
Come on, Martina!
Congratulations.
Okay...
Come on, Martina.
Good job, Nuna! Stay positive!
You got this!
Okay, Nuna, you got this! You got this!
Oh, my god. I did it.
Nailed it, ha!
Now you need to make your way to the Monkey's Paw
by TTC.
Caution, there is a double U-turn ahead.
Okay, bye.
- We have to go north. - Yeah.
We get on this one here.
We get off here,
and then we're going to get on the green,
and take it to here.
I'm in a rush to get there because we have this
U-turn coming up, and I feel like
if we don't get there first, we'll be U-turned.
Who was in front of us?
Just Taylor and Courtney.
That's it? Oh, good.
But we don't know where Courtney and Adam are.
From the observation deck, search the city
for the location of your next clue.
This is the city. We are searching it.
- Hi, guys. - What's up, what's up?
It's a race between us and them
to see who finds it first.
This is not ideal.
Over here?
Gotta use those eagle eyes right now.
By Dundas Square.
Badda-bing, badda-boom.
Red and yellow flag.
Dylan and Kwame just left,
which his not what we want right now.
Aye-yay-yay-yay-yay.
Maybe we get a better look from over here.
Babe, where are you going?
I'm just going up higher.
There. Right there.
- Where? - Straight ahead,
big yellow on top of that-- see that big white building?
Yeah, okay. Let's go.
Will this guy stop for us?
Somebody will. Okay.
We'll keep rocking.
We're going to City Hall.
We know exactly how to get there.
We're feeling good. We've got a hometown advantage.
Let's do this.
Let's go up.
I have a feeling we're gonna see something from up there.
Maybe it's on this side.
Please be on this side.
- Oh my gosh, it's right there! - Where?
It's right on top of the, the...
Oh, my god!
Oh my god, let's go there.
The top of Yonge and Dundas Square.
We're feeling a good rush of adrenaline.
We're feeling a confidence boost.
We just got to catch up.
Ooh! Okay.
I'll set this in here.
Check, please!
- Sorry, that's a fail. - Oh!
Okay, thank you.
Come on, Mar. You got this.
So many different little, bulky objects
that just are getting in the way.
Who's ready to spark up this roadblock?
I am. I'm great at special awareness.
I know my man Dylan's gonna get this done.
Dylan will make things fit.
The rear-view mirror--
I can see 90% out of my rearview mirror.
Just breathe, Nancy!
Check, please!
- Congratulations. - Yeah!
Yes! Woo!
Thank you!
Now I get to back up. I've got this.
Wish me luck!
This damn thing.
Check, please!
Congrats. It's good.
You're good to go.
Here we go.
That's our next challenge.
There's the clue box right there.
Let's go.
Courtney and Adam just got here.
I don't even know what position I was in when I got here.
I'll do this challenge.
This is a great challenge for me.
I'm great at packing, and I back a fire truck
into a fire hall all the time.
If it doesn't fit, force it.
Calm it down!
Slow is fast.
Slamming is fast.
Man mentality.
Man mentality for sure.
Now, back into that corner...
Thank you.
- Yes! - On Toronto Transit.
Down the stairs right here. Right here.
That's right, baby!
- Hey, man. - This is how we do!
Caution, double U-turn ahead.
- North to Bloor and Yonge. - North...
- West to Lansdowne. - Okay.
- Okay? - Gimme some.
- TTC. - Yeah, here, here.
Let's go, baby! Double U-turn ahead.
It's literally right there.
It's literally on top of the building.
Across the street. We can cross, we can cross.
Look for a clue box.
Have you seen anyone running around here?
- No. - No?
You haven't seen anyone?
- Can we go up? - Yeah.
We saw the sign on the roof.
We saw a yellow-- red-yellow flag.
Yeah. It might not be on the top.
- That's the thing. - Yeah.
It might just be in the building.
Check, please!
Congratulations. You did it.
- Thank you very much. - Nice, babe.
Good job!
Teams are figuring this out.
Okay!
You don't want to close for me?
Calm, Mar!
There are team ahead.
We've been a threat this entire race so far.
Being towards the back of the pack,
we're gonna be U-turned.
Check, please!
Sorry, that's a fail.
Check, please!
Sorry, that's a fail.
No items will be placed in the front seat.
Argh!
Check, please.
Congratulations. You did it.
- Yeah! - Yes!
I haven't driven in a very long time.
Oh, man.
Good job, babe! You got this!
Coming in hot!
Good job, good job. I love you.
- Good job. - Yes, Mar, come on.
I did it!
Toronto represent!
We're going to... I don't know.
Monkey's Paw Bookstore.
I just don't want to block him if he's coming out.
He'll literally just stand up and move.
Okay.
He's so kind and innocent,
and it was so cute to watch him on the subway.
I'm glad we got to take care of a TTC virgin.
- Bloor Street. - Right.
Probably this side.
There it is right there!
We're in first place. There's no need to U-turn.
I agree.
We are choosing not to U-turn.
- Biblio-Mat. - Ready?
What is this gonna do?
Please insert coins. Oh my god, cool.
What have we got here?
It's a tiny and cute!
Detour.
In this detour, teams will have a chance to find out
what keeps Toronto on the cutting edge of urban culture.
Walk the Part or Latte Art.
In Latte Art, teams must make their way to Versus Coffee,
a modern coffee shop on the edge of the financial district,
where they elevate the simple latte into a work of art.
It's so exquisite...
I don't even want to drink it!
After watching a demonstration, racers must become baristas,
and master the technique of steaming milk
to create the perfect latte foam.
Then, add colour, and carefully pour their frothy masterpiece.
Once they've created two limited edition lattes...
Alicia will give them their next clue.
In Walk the Part, teams must make their way
to El Convento Rico,
a Latin nightclub in the heart of Toronto's Little Italy.
Here, teams will strike a pose, as they walk the ball
and learn to vogue.
Popularized in the late 1980s, and making a comeback in London,
New York, and Toronto, voguing is dance
characterized by rigid body movement,
and model-like catwalk poses.
Once both racers have selected an outfit,
they'll pick an instructor to teach them the tricky moves
of this voguing routine.
When they're ready to strike a pose,
they'll perform the entire routine
in front of a live audience.
Once the audience agrees that they've vogued
their way to the perfect 10...
Aquarius will give them their next clue.
- A dance. - You want to dance?
Let's dance. Dude, we're gonna rock this!
Lansdowne, south side?
Yeah, sure.
Please hold my hand.
Okay, come on!
Monkey's Paw, across the street.
This is amazing. Our faces aren't on there.
- Aw! - I'm so happy.
We are not gonna U-turn anybody because we've been U-turned
and it sucked.
- Ooh, what is it? - Let's do Latte Art.
We're gonna do Latte Art.
Taxi! Taxi!
I do not drink coffee,
but I've seen other people drink coffee,
so I'm gonna use that knowledge.
Come, let's look outside.
Maybe we ran right by it.
Or it's in Dundas Square.
Yeah.
Oh my god, there's a clue box right there.
- I'll do it. - Yeah?
I think Monica's gonna kick butt at this.
I'm just a little nervous 'cause I don't see any other teams,
which means they've probably come and gone.
We're getting off.
So we come out of the subway station,
and guess who we see?
Nancy and Mellisa!
Hey, guys.
Those twerps, they've just been leeches
this whole leg!
Yo, did we get an address?
No. Yo!
Oh, shoot.
We have decided that we're gonna let everybody
run their own race.
Wanna do the dance?
We've decided we're not gonna U-turn anyone.
We are going to Walk the Part.
We were hoping you could take us to El Convento Rico.
Oh, my god.
Put together your outfit.
Something you can dance in.
Usually the key to success in these
dancing challenges is to leave your pride at the door.
But I think in this one, it's actually
bringing your pride with you.
Good?
- Oh, I feel awesome. - Okay, good.
1, 2.
You're gonna open it up just like this.
Yeah, and then close it. 4.
And really like be over the top. Very dainty.
- Okay. - I'll try.
You're not directing traffic.
Okay, slow down, slow down.
It'll be around here. Versus Coffee, right here.
- Pull over, pull over! - Yeah, stop, stop, stop.
For this Detour,
we have to make two cups of latte artwork.
- Oh... - Okay, perfect.
- Okay, we can do that. - We got this.
No problem!
Tamp it.
3, 4, 5.
- One... - Two...
- Shoot. - Oh, my gosh.
Problem.
- Dump that. - Yeah.
I didn't know it was like so intricate.
Come on!
Congratulations, you did it.
Hey! Thanks.
Yes!
Monkey's Paw.
I ride the subway every day, so I'm like, this is great.
I know exactly where to go.
Excuse me! Woo!
Come on, girl.
Excuse me.
El Convento Rico, right there.
Yup, that's it.
Smells like sweat and fun.
Right, bam, bam, turn, click, click, dead.
- Is that the end? - That's the end.
Two teams on their way right now.
Yeah, let's go do it.
Dylan and Kwame roll up, and Nancy and Mellisa.
We don't want to lose our lead.
Let's give it a shot.
- Congratulations. - Oh, my!
Alright, let's do this!
Route info.
Teams must now make their way
to the North York Harvest Food Bank,
which collects, sorts,
and distributes over 2.3 million pounds of food
for 77 different community programs
in North Toronto's inner suburbs every year.
God, we killed that dance.
You killed the dance.
I scraped through it.
That was fun. Come on.
That was fun.
1, 2... finish...
Cross, cross,
to your death.
Yes, okay.
Thank you.
Left, right, left.
Nancy is definitely holding her own.
But for me, voguing is all about being sexy and sassy,
and I do not define either of those words.
My knees!
Argh!
29, 30.
- Okay. - Okay.
Oh, yeah, it's foamy.
- So you pour it around. - Yeah.
Oh, yeah, it's happening.
Yes. More.
Okay.
- Ta-da! - Ta-da...
No. That's not a pass.
- Okay. - At least we got foam.
Monkey's Paw right here.
U-turn board. Nothing's used.
I am so relieved to not see our photo on that board.
We're choosing not to U-turn.
Detour.
We decide to vogue, obviously.
I have attempted barista-ing before.
Trust me, you do not want me to make your coffee.
The only team that we know is behind us
is Zainab and Monica.
We want to make sure we're safe.
We don't know what's coming up for sure.
Oh, my god, this is terrible.
We have never felt this conflicted in this race.
It's not an easy decision.
- You make the call. - I can't make this call.
I made the last call.
I really hate the idea of doing it,
but we obviously want to stay safe.
My personality and my morals tell me not to U-turn,
but this is a race.
To ensure our own safety at this point
in the race, we are second to last,
we are gonna U-turn Monica and Zainab.
Sorry, guys.
- I feel sick about it. - Let's go do a dance.
I don't know why we're doing a dance because I suck
at dance challenges.
We've got time. We can do it together.
North York Harvest Food Bank.
There's a flag right there.
I think we're the first team, dude.
Here, at the North York Harvest Food Bank,
teams will join forces with Dempster's,
a Canadian bakery that supports farmers, bakers,
and Canadians from coast to coast,
in a challenge that will help thousand of families,
and show just how generous and compassionate
Canadians can be.
- Thank you very much. - You're welcome.
Teams must first select one of these order forms
that contains the exact number of specific
type of freshly baked bread,
kindly donated by Dempster's bakery,
that must be prepped for shipping to community groups
across the city, feeding families in need.
Then, they'll correctly package the bread in these red boxes.
Once they've completed their order...
Freyon from Dempster's will give them their next clue.
Let's pick this one.
Follow the marked path to and from the truck
- at the loading dock. - Hello, how are you guys?
- Hi. - Ho-o-ly!
Dempster's has donated all of this.
It's really cool that we can take a moment
and do something charitable, as well as run the race.
Feeding people.
Alright, Tay, put 16 whole wheat in a box, and I'll do 15 white.
Okay.
The hard part, I think is just really keeping track
of how many things you put in each.
If we miscount,
we have to go through and count everything over again.
Oh, it's right here.
Thank you very much. Come on, guys.
What have we done?
Aw, fuzz! Yo, we gotta go.
It's the cheerleaders.
I know they're crushing it,
so we need to get this done.
Some work to do. Some work to do.
Let's give it a try.
Ah!
Aah!
Sorry, ladies, good try.
Argh!
- Okay. - Oh, yes, babe!
- Okay, let's get going. - Okay.
We need an instructor.
Aah!
We came to slay, baby.
There it is. I see it.
Monkey's Paw.
Oh my god. No way.
Adam and Courtney U-turned us. Thanks, guys.
They want to play dirty, they want to play dirty.
That's okay.
Walk the Part or Latte Art.
- We have to do both. - Okay, yeah.
Let's Walk the Part.
We're the only team that's U-turned,
but this is our city. We can catch up.
We're about to dance like we've never danced before.
Oh... You see, it's on an angle.
This angle is the same as the cup angle.
- Yes. - Oh...
Just straight in. Okay, let's try that again.
I realize that the steamer needs to be at the same angle
that you're holding the milk from.
1, 2, 3.
And then get very close to the surface,
and pour a bunch in.
- Yes. - Oh my god!
- Yes. - Oh my god!
- And now one long one? - And now one long one.
- Yes! - Aah!
Congratulations.
- We got one! - Aah!
We know how to do it now.
Shoulders.
- 2. - 3, window...
- It's okay. - My two don't communicate.
Step and step.
I'm lost.
- Forward, back, forward. - Da, da, da.
And then you step again.
I take a very long time with choreography,
so I'm looking to Mar to pick up this choreography.
She knows how to speak to me.
I know how to speak Leanne.
Da, da, da, swing, swing, da, da, da.
- Let's do it. - Okay, let's do it.
Attempt, please!
Congratulations.
Okay, you've got this. Just go crazy.
Congratulations!
Barrel racer voguer. Who would have thought?
Okay.
Oh, one, two, three.
Okay. Here's the other one.
I will always tip my barista!
Taxi! Taxi!
Taxi, taxi, stop!
Taxi, taxi!
Taxi! Over there!
- Taxi! - Okay, okay, yeah.
Hi.
Ancient, you have 15 confirmed?
Yup, confirmed.
Okay, we just need to get 19 Maple French Toast Bagel.
17, 18.
- 19. - 19.
Right. Let's stack them here.
Got it.
Check, please.
The order's correct. Congratulations.
- Thank you so much. - Thanks.
Make your way to the Ireland Park
and find Jon at your next pitstop.
Teams must now make their way to the waterfront,
and locate Ireland Park,
that sits on the edge of Lake Ontario.
Today, the iconic Toronto skyline will be the backdrop
on the sixth pitstop
on The Amazing Race Canada Heroes Edition.
The last team to check in here may be eliminated.
Hi. For Courtney.
It is tough not knowing where the other teams are,
but we won't get ahead of ourselves,
but anything can happen on a ride to somewhere.
- Yeah. - I'll get excited
when Jon says you're number one.
That's when I'll start getting excited.
Come on.
Here we go, okay?
Adam and Courtney are right behind us,
and we don't feel very warm with them right now.
Sorry, girls.
You think we're ready?
Okay, we're ready, then. Let's do it.
Congratulations.
Woo!
Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you! Let's go!
I'm keeping the hat!
3, hip...
- Holy crap. - Okay, babe.
Just give me a second. I need to figure this out, okay?
I don't know what you're trying to tell me, but...
I'm gonna walk through it with you.
I know the steps. I just can't do them.
Here we are again, fighting for last place.
Our teamwork is not at its best right now.
I can see Adam getting frustrated.
Oh, my god!
This is worst-case scenario.
116 Industry Street.
Are you going to the right place?
Can we look it up on your cell phone?
We'll look, yeah. Okay.
It says it's 43 minutes away.
Right there. Let's get a move on.
So, this is the number of packages we need.
Hot dog buns, 15 packages.
"Number of packages," do you think it means
15 of those red boxes?
- Yes? - Yes.
- This is a lot of packages. - Mm-hm.
This is a big task.
Right here, right here.
So we need 15 packages of white bread.
Nancy and Mellisa have just joined us here.
The pressure is back on.
We're heading to Ireland Park to go see Jon.
To go see Jon, and find out where we're at.
There it is, Court. Thank you.
Let's go.
Aah!
Bring it in, you two!
Hey.
Taylor and Courtney, allow me to introduce you to
Season 5 winners, Sam and Paul.
You have won The Amazing Race Canada!
Welcome to Toronto, our home,
and our favourite city in the world.
- Thank you. - Taylor, Courtney,
you guys are team number one.
Shut up! Yeah!
Team number one!
Back to back wins!
As the winners of this leg of the race,
you two have won a trip for two to Hong Kong.
- Woo! - Yup.
As well, because you were winners today,
Dempster's is giving $5,000 worth of their products
to a food bank in your community.
That's so nice!
That's going to go a long way.
Do you guys think that you're now on everybody's radar?
Back to back firsts, that'll do it.
Yes, this is when we started to feel that target.
But run your race. Don't worry about the other.
- Run your own race. - That's been our motto.
- Thanks so much, guys. - Thanks, bye.
- Bye, guys. - Stay safe.
- I'm so proud of us. - Yeah.
- Left, right... - Hop, hop, hop.
Two, windshield wiper, windshield wiper.
I understand that. I'm not getting it, though.
My confidence is fairly low,
but if we're gonna get this clue,
I'm gonna have to let loose,
and really just have fun with this.
Okay, let's do this.
Yes!
I'm gonna open this up.
Monica and Zainab, they wouldn't even look at us.
I feel terrible, but...
At this point, it's a good thing because we're
fighting for last place again, so...
Congratulations. You got your 10.
Do you know where to go for this?
Versus Coffee.
We picked up that dance quicker than anyone else.
- I know. - We're good at this.
We're good at this, but...
- North York Harvest. - Yeah, yeah, turn right.
Turn right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, Phil and Martina are here.
We love what you're doing.
Thank you for helping the community.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
This doesn't make sense.
Guys, is one of these red boxes a package,
or is the one loaf of bread a package?
Are you putting 16 loaves, or is it 16 red boxes?
We're doing 16 loaves.
Okay. Argh!
We realize we just need to put 15 bags
of hotdogs buns into this red box,
instead of filling 15 individual red boxes.
Remember, we don't need to win every leg.
Spinach is 12.
11... 12.
We're ready.
Congratulations. Your order is complete.
Thank you.
We're going to find Jon!
Jon at the pitstop. Jon, Jon, Jon, Jon.
Jon at the pitstop.
There's two teams
breathing down our neck right now.
When we get to this challenge, we gotta bang it out,
and get out of there.
Okay, is this the spot?
It's not right.
Where's our guy going?
Just start walking, man.
Oh, god.
Thank you.
- Here, Versus Coffee! - Oh, amazing.
We know we need to catch up.
Yeah, it's creamy.
We can't mess this up. We cannot go home.
So, are you gonna tip it?
Yeah. And then pour.
- Close to the bottom. - Yeah, like that.
You're getting it. Yes.
And then one through.
Zai, that's perfect!
It's overflowed, but it's a flower.
Check, please.
Actually, it's not bad.
- Thanks. - And I'm impressed.
Yay, thank you!
- Thank you, thank you! - You're an artist.
Can I have the drink, though?
Yeah, start sipping.
- Is this 116? - Yeah.
Awesome, thank you so much.
We gotta go to the truck.
We can make up time
if we can just muscle our way through it.
I go to the gym for a reason.
10, 11.
- We're good. - Congratulations.
- Oh, thank you. - Thank you very much.
- Check, please. - Thank you so much.
Make your way to waterfront.
...Ireland Park to find Jon at your next pitstop.
Ireland Park, do you know where that is?
Yeah.
Is that it?
Yeah, yo, yo, yo!
Okay, let's get to work.
We're not going for last place today.
Come on, ladies, bring it in!
My knees are so sore!
Nancy and Mellisa, you're team number two.
Yeah!
One of the longest legs in Amazing Race Canada history.
You're going from Jakarta to Stratford to Toronto.
Are you going to say and here's your next clue?
There is no more today!
You can rest.
It was a long day, and being team number two
on this leg is a massive accomplishment.
It gives us a lot of confidence.
See you ladies at the next mat.
Thank you so much. Thank you.
- Alright, bye, guys. - See you.
- Way to go. - He's awesome, Jon.
Slowly, yeah.
And through.
- Ooh! - That's pretty!
- Ooh, that's so pretty! - Okay.
- Wow, this is amazing. - Oh!
- We're hiring you guys. - Thanks!
- Oh, my god! - Oh, thank you so much!
Hi, how are you? This is a race.
We're in the back right now, so we need to get to the front.
We're in last place.
I'm hoping you can get us there really fast,
sir, please.
Yeah, we'll give you a good tip, sir.
Yeah.
Come on!
Oh, my god!
Yeah!
Oh! You're real!
You're so cool!
Bring it in, Leanne. Come on, Mar!
Woo!
Martina and Phil, you are team number three.
- Woo! - Leanne and Mar,
- you're team number four. - Yeah!
- We did it! - We made it back up.
- We're good. - Good job, ladies!
Good job.
Right now, just us and Adam and Courtney left.
It's down to the wire.
Babe, we need to slow this down
because this is not right.
- White bread is done. - What do we need?
- 16. - How many do we have?
7, 8, 9, 10.
So we need six more.
Ridiculous.
There's room for error when you don't go slow.
That's it?
Uh, can we get a check, please?
Sorry, your order is incorrect.
Thank you.
We get a "no" on the check,
and we're starting to stress out.
Alright, wanna go through it one by one?
Start from the top.
116 Industry Street.
Anything on the right here?
Anything can happen, so we just gotta get there.
Let's go. Let's go.
We're almost there.
It's right here, it's right here.
We mixed a product.
Okay, let's fix that one.
Check, please.
We think we had one bread mixed in with other breads.
We'll see what the judges say.
- Congratulations. - Thank you.
- Thank you so much. - You're welcome.
We fought hard today.
Heroes Edition.
26, 27, 28.
- Okay. - Check, please.
Yeah!
Jon, we're looking forward to you telling us this leg is over.
Bring it in, Dylan! Come on, Kwame!
- Comin' in hot! - Come on in, come on in!
Dylan, Kwame,
Courtney, Adam, you guys are teams number
five and six.
Been a long day.
A long leg, but we're still in it.
How did you guys deal with the U-turn today?
When you're fighting for last place,
there's really only one option.
U-turning was what we had to do.
The race is hard on a lot of levels, isn't it?
That one was definitely the worst.
This was a very difficult leg of the race.
We had some areas of frustration, but we talk it out,
get over it real quick.
See you at the next mat.
- Thank you very much. - Bye, you guys.
- Good luck. - Take care.
Okay, bye.
We're gonna remain positive.
We're making our way up.
Good job, babe.
Ah!
Ah!
Holy... smokes.
Hi.
Zainab, Monica,
you are the last team to arrive.
I am sorry to tell you this, this time,
you have been eliminated from the race.
It's a tough one.
I'm sad. I'm disappointed.
But this race has taught me when you feel like
you're at your lowest, you gotta smile,
you gotta enjoy the moment.
Ladies, was there one thing that went wrong today?
It was the U-turn, I think.
We're actually surprised that we were the only ones
that were U-turned. I guess it's karma.
We U-turned Todd and Anna, and got rid of them, so...
Throughout this whole race, we kept persevering,
and pushing forward, and, you know,
we're representing the Canadian Armed Forces
and the Navy.
Be proud of what you two have accomplished.
What you do every day serving our country
is unbelievable.
You're inspiring us, and you're inspiring Canada.
Take care, you two.
Take care. Bye, guys.
- Navy proud. - Navy proud.
Next time, on The Amazing Race Canada Heroes Edition...
Fly to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
- Hey! - Taxi!
Teams head off to Winnipeg, Manitoba...
- Here we come! - ...where a roadblock
balloons into a tricky situation.
Aw!
A detour has teams pointing their toes...
- Wow, that's a workout. - Oh!
I can't find it.
...while others are left pointing fingers.
- I've lost us. - That's not good.
And tension comes to a head...
Bullseye.
...as some teams become the target
at the season's first faceoff.
- Argh! - Ha!
Now we're gonna go home, and it's all my fault.
