Look, look!

I can fly!

Isn't that great, Filo?

But she doesn't look like a filolial.

And her attack dropped like a rock.

Big Sis Raphtalia, where are these clothes from?

Someone gave me these...

A priestess's gown?

Priestess?

You look lovely.

Who's this?

She's a shikigami that we made from your hair to search for you.

Her name's...

Her name's Raph!

"Raph"?

Three days until the Wave...

I was summoned as a Cardinal Hero to defeat the Demon Dragon, king of monsters,

but Naofumi wasn't.

We're both Cardinal Heroes, but he was summoned to a different world for the Waves.

What are these Waves like?

Can I fight them like Naofumi did?

What is it, Chris?

Kizuna!

Damn that thief!

Sir Kazuki, please do not move!

I won't let them off like this!

Oh, what a failure you are.

I come to pick up my human experimentation subject, but she's escaped.

You tried to get the Katana for yourself, and the escapee takes it from you.

What a joke.

Sir Kazuki!

You mustn't move!

I'll end her and this!

You shut up and watch–

No!

Sir Kazuki!

She said not to move. Are you stupid?

Kyo, the Cardinal Hero from an otherworld and the Katana Hero...

What do we do about them?

Huh?

Oh, what should I do?

The Ship Vassal Weapon?

They're gonna go back to Sickle with that. What a pain.

Well, I'm gonna kill them anyway, but I'm busy with my experiments.

I will do it.

I will eliminate what impedes you.

(Break to the chain)

(Time to fight again)

"The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2"

Two worlds coming together

Falling shading

Before getting bewildered

Pass the limits

Kick it up a notch, never giving up

Don't seek, I find

Infinite futures, in pieces, like a vein

Give me some trill

I never ever end

Rising up

To bring in tomorrow, I'm the chosen one

So not to be drowned by the constant waves

I fight, finding a way

Bring back! Bring it back

Learning from sacrifice and suffering

(Gotta bring back!)

Change heart from the very depths

(I gotta change, right now)

Stand up! As many times

Rise up, go break it now

(Go break it harder!)

I'm not alone, I already know

That's why I'll fight back

Ay yo stand up, over and over

Lemme get hurt, I'm a fighter

Still gotta conquer

Never be apart

No one can break the bonds between us

No matter what

Like I can't tell a lie

My mind, go with the flow

Got a dilemma right here

Now make a change

Never gonna stop, I'll break hesitation and weakness

I'm always fighting to break to the chain

"Kizuna"

Glass... I can't breathe!

Let go!

Finally! We're finally reunited!

I will never let you go again!

Wait! Dying!

Isn't that great, Glass?

Yes!

Thank you once again. Thanks to you, Kizuna and Glass were reunited.

I only went searching for Raphtalia and Filo.

Isn't it wonderful?

You were reunited with your beloved as well.

Yeah.

Oh, right!

Naofumi mentioned this before...

He said that you went to his world.

I've been meaning to ask, what did you go there to do?

Um... Well... Uh...

Wait, what the heck?!

You were going to kill Naofumi during the Waves?

That's exactly what a villain would do!

Kizuna, please don't be so angry with Glass.

I'm angry at you and Bro L'Arc too, you know!

I'm sorry...

Shoot.

Highness.

Oh, I see.

Sorry, Kizuna girly. We'll talk later.

Kiddo, make yourself at home too.

Hey, wait! Get back here!

"Highness"?

And why's he acting like he owns the place?

L'Arc is the young king of this kingdom.

Huh?!

He was a king?!

I see. So he's got highness.

And what's up with you too?!

Why didn't you tell me?!

There wasn't a good time to, and I could see this happening if I did.

Ugh! Every last one of you!

Killing the Cardinal Heroes of Naofumi's world will save this world from the Waves?!

Is that true?

Well...

Even if it is, doing it is definitely wrong!

We find another way!

There has to be a way to save both our world and Naofumi's world!

What happens if there isn't?

What if there's no way but to kill each other to save one world?

If that happens...

I won't fight you. I don't want to.

We don't know if there's a way to avoid it, but I'll definitely find it!

If I can't, I'll search again!

Will you search for it with me?

I'll help you beat that Kyo guy while we do.

No, I want to, so...

Once we kick his ass, we're going back to our world.

That isn't nearly enough time.

Once we're back, I'll read up more on the Waves.

Thank you, Naofumi.

Is it true?

You can truly bring Sir Kazuki back to life?

Yeah, that's what I said.

Just look there.

Sir Kazuki!

The ones who did this to Sir Kazuki must be given their just deserts!

Please, Kyo! Give us power!

You act all big, but in the end, you rely on others.

You really are shit, aren't you?

But, hey,

I'll take that motivation.

If we're going to raid that Kyo's base, we'll need to get some good equipment!

Isn't it great that everything worked out, Kiddo?

Easy for you to say. You went off and escaped by yourself, Kingo.

Or do you prefer Highness?

Wait, who told you that?!

Was it Therese?!

Yeah, it was, but we would've learned it soon enough.

They seem to like you, Highness.

Hey! Don't call me that! I hate it!

Then quit calling me Kiddo.

That's a completely different matter!

How is it different, Highness?

I said, stop it!

Romina, you here?

Kizuna? Where the heck have you been–

Doesn't matter, just give us the best equipment in the shop!

Man, it's been years, but you never change.

Hm?

Yo.

Oh? You're with her today?

And...

Oh–ho? Looks like you've got some circumstances.

The Katana of the Vassal Weapons?

What a thing to bring to the shop.

Well, we can explain later.

For now, we can't leave the blade exposed, so we need a sheath.

Nothing in the shop'll fit it. It'll need to be custom made.

And these!

Naofumi's party wore these in their world. Can you do something about them?

What's this stuff?!

Well, they look interesting, so I can try something out, but it'll take a week.

Can you do it in one night please?!

You've lost your mind!

Please, please, please!

It's almost like you and the old man, Master Naofumi.

Yeah, it is!

What was that?!

Who are you?

I am Yomogi Emarl!

"The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2" I have come to take your heads for Kyo!

"The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2" For Kyo?

That's right!

I have come to enact divine punishment

upon the possessors of the Cardinal Weapon and the Vassal Weapon!

You cowards!

You assault me with all of your forces!

No, you came to assault us...

What's up with her?

Hey, could you take this outside town?

You contemptible knaves! But I cannot allow myself defeat!

Judgment!

I'll do this!

I'll cheer you on with a song!

Thank you, Filo!

I came here alone!

It's only fair to fight one–on–one!

Oh, you might be right.

No, it doesn't make sense!

Huh?

Huh? Seriously?

Kizuna, get back and do some kind of support!

Hey, you!

Very well. It will be less work to vanquish you all at once.

One strike will finish this!

Raphtalia, give her what she wants.

Yes, Master Naofumi.

Instant Blade! Mist!

Dragon Point Technique!

That sword...

Not enough!

Shooting Star Shield!

Eight Trigrams Blade of Destiny!

Wow, this lady's strong!

Fighting an army by oneself comes with great difficulty.

I don't really like how you said that.

If you want an army, then you'd better not forget us!

I said, do it somewhere else!

L'Arc...

Fighting each other to the death ain't bad,

but fighting with each other feels a lot better, Naofumi.

I don't care either way, L'Arc.

Heh. Whatever!

Gemspark! Blizzard!

Compound Formation: Inverted Hail Seasons!

Hey, that sword...

It looks like bad news.

I cannot...

I cannot afford to be defeated here!

Hey, Yomogi lady!

You should throw away that sword if you don't want to die!

What a crude demand for surrender!

I would never release this sword which Kyo made for me!

He made it?!

That's the worst kind of news!

I'm not getting caught in this one.

Same here! Therese!

Gemspark! Exploding Thunder Rain!

Combo Skill: Thunder Wheel!

What is this?!

Not good!

Lure Multiplier!

Blood Flower Strike!

Circle Dance Attack Formation: Flower Wind!

Get down!

Ugh. Kill me.

People actually say that line?

Hold up, you saw what happened.

I can't harm people.

It seems Kyo was going to eliminate you along with us using that sword.

He would never!

Kyo would never do something so–

Really? It's exactly what that asshole would do.

Silence! You know nothing of Kyo!

He simply does not choose his means for attaining his noble ends!

And what are those noble ends?

You're one of the Cardinal Heroes.

Then you should know Kyo's desire perfectly well.

So what is it?

To stop the Waves.

Huh?

Kizuna! What are you going to do with her?

We're going to hear her out!

We might find a way to stop the Waves.

But why bring her to our home?

She can be placed in an interrogation room in the palace.

Do you think she'd talk honestly in a place like that?

I want her to know that we bear no ill will.

Ill will? I've got plenty of that!

You don't know what Kyo got up to! That's why you don't!

I never saw him do anything, but I know from hearing you talk about it!

He might be doing terrible things, but...

If his objective is the same as ours, to stop the Waves,

then maybe we can talk things over instead of fighting.

Not possible! He didn't give a rat's ass about our world!

That's why he killed Ost. How many people do you think he killed?!

I know! I just want to know more about the Waves!

About how to stop the Waves without fighting your world!

Whatever you want.

We're going to keep preparing to raid Kyo's base.

Yeah, you do that.

You'd better get her to cough up where his base is.

Yeah, of course!

Glass, Therese, can you show Naofumi around town?

Very well.

You haven't lost your mind, have you?

Of course not.

Then okay.

Have a seat. Make yourself at home.

I haven't been home in years.

Man, it's still clean!

Glass must've taken care of it the whole time.

Here we are.

Huh? You could have a seat.

I'm surprised.

Huh?

I had imagined where one who would seek revenge against Kyo would live,

but this is far more normal.

Have a drink.

The style is different, but it reminds me of my home.

Really?

It is where Kyo and I lived.

You can skip anything you don't want to talk about. Could you tell me about you?

About you and this Kyo?

Kyo and I are friends from childhood.

He was always different from others.

He would not play with anyone. He would wear strange clothes.

But when I talked to him, he told me many things.

About books, the kingdom, and the Waves.

About the Waves too?

Yes. Kyo had great talents from a young age.

He would read about everything himself. He knew everything.

Out of my interest in him, I also learned many things.

As I asked Kyo to teach me and learned what he thought,

I came to want to be useful to him.

I was not suited to learn. All I could do was protect him.

I know the person he is better than anyone else.

I closed my eyes whenever he did things to excess.

For the noble end of stopping the Waves?

Yes, but...

Their faces when they spoke of Kyo...

Did Kyo do something deserving of so much hate?

Did he do something that cannot be undone outside of my sight?

If he has, then there is no point in stopping the Waves.

If he has, then I must stop Kyo.

If that's the case, then I can help too.

I want to fight him, not to defeat him, but to talk to him.

Thank you.

But he must pay for the sins that he has committed.

Are you sure? Isn't he a precious friend to you?

That is precisely why.

I will accept punishment as well.

Even if it is capital punishment.

I see...

I stayed up all night making them like you asked.

Is it just me, or has the core gotten bigger?

"Barbaroi Armor +2 (Cursed)"

I tried combining it with the Demon Dragon's core that Kizuna had.

The armor's skills should work in this world too now.

I used the guardian beasts' bones and skin for the armor too.

It took some real work getting it to work!

What's this Demon Dragon?

The king of the monsters that I defeated.

We used its core for Glass's and my weapons.

Oh, really?

Thank you very much.

I redid this one for the bird girl.

It should raise her attack strength.

It really did...

"Filo Pajamas" Filo'll be able to fight with this.

Ooh!

Amazing! Nice work, Romina!

The bill is amazing too.

All yours, Bro L'Arc!

Huh? Why?!

This is part of defending the kingdom!

The Highness of Sickle needs to foot the bill.

Romina! Send the bill to the palace!

You've got a hard job, Highness.

Quit calling me Highness, Kiddo!

If anything happens, we'll take you back with my portal skill, Scroll of Return.

Yes.

And if we can defeat Kyo, we may be able to avoid a war.

Yes. There isn't much time until the next Wave.

We must do something about him now.

Well, we still have time. We'll be–

What's wrong?

The countdown to the Wave...

Break past the different defenses of a different world ruled by different laws

and bring about a different phenomenon!

I've finally completed it!

Wave of Catastrophe!

Dimensional Wave!

Is this...

Hey, you gotta be kidding...

How could it be? There was still time until its arrival!

No way!

Kizuna!

Naofumi–

Yomogi...

That is... Kyo's research laboratory.

He didn't want to stop the Waves!

He...

Kyo wanted to invoke the Waves!

This is...

...a Wave like the one Naofumi and Glass fought in?

Even if the clock hands turn back

We found something that'll last

The desire to be there for one another

The wish and the bonds that we share

Even if it all goes back to zero

Even if it's the end of the world

I'll rush through time to you

And promise you won't be alone

These eyes

Are for watching over you

This voice

Is for guiding you

These hands

Are for holding you

This time

Is for making sure you have a tomorrow

Believing in you

That's all we need to do

It's what lets us grow stronger

Than anyone else

You taught us that

Ever since that day

That unchanging light

Even if the time comes for us to part

We'll be sure to find you again
