we will analyze alleged
cases of alien encounters

caught on camera.

It was like, shimmering.

Just shimmering, super bright.

Then we'll
pass a verdict.

What we're looking
at here, potentially,

could be the very first
UFO video ever captured.

I'm not saying it's
aliens, but it's aliens.

The proof starts now.

Good evening and welcome to
"The Proof is Out There."

We love nothing more
than featuring stories

submitted by our
dedicated viewers,

so here's a doozy.

Now the majority of UFO
videos we investigate

are usually due to the fact

someone just happened to be

at the right place at the
right time and press record.

But you are about to meet a man

who desperately wanted
to get a UFO on video,

and it turns out, maybe he did.

We are in Ardmore,
Oklahoma, for this one,

with dedicated "Proof"
viewer, Joey Franco.

After witnessing what
he thinks is a UFO

one night above his home,

Joey makes it his mission

to scan the evening sky each
night with his thermal camera

for any other signs of
extraterrestrial life.

And on May 26th,
2017, he records this.

Definitely a disc.

Take a closer look.

Watch how the object appears
to hover near the clouds,

then deliberately,
it moves sideways.

Then Joey points a
laser directly at it.

Whoa, did
you see it stop?

If I wouldn't have
shined the laser at it,

it would've never came back.

It's almost right over
the top of me now,

I hope it don't hurt me.

Please don't hurt me.

I've made contact
with this thing.

I hope I don't get
taken tonight, man.

I'm like, scared and excited
all at the same time.

It's like, I never expected
this to happen this night,

to make contact with aliens.

Whoa, did you see that?

It's gone, man.

At a thousand miles an
hour, this thing booked.

Even
journalist Erin McCarthy

wonders if it's possible

Joey actually made contact
with an alien ship.

It almost seems like

there's a bit of an
empathetic connection

between Joey and
whatever this craft is.

He's talking to the craft.

It's coming
right back at me, man.

Isn't that amazing?

And it seems
to be responding to him.

The idea of humans

communicating with
extraterrestrials

goes back hundreds, if
not thousands of years.

Some theorize the
Nazca people of Peru

communicated with
alien civilizations,

and that some of the mysterious

1,200-foot designs they built

were actually spaceship runways.

And 3,000 year old artifacts

unearthed at Sanxingdui, China,

first in the 1920s and
then in the eighties,

have convinced many of
alien contact in our past.

But in the 20th century,

others attempted to use
the power of the mind.

There was actually a
man after World War II

named George Van Tassel,

who believed that
he could summon

and telepathically communicate
with aliens by meditating,

and they actually telepathically
gave him instructions

to build a structure
out in the desert

that was supposed to
reverse the aging process.

In the 1950s, author and UFO
contactee George Van Tassel

brought together 11,000 people

for his interplanetary
spacecraft convention

in the California desert,

hoping to make contact.

But was Joey able to
communicate with aliens

all by himself?

We sent his footage to
our experts to decide.

Does Joey's use of a thermal
camera offer any clues?

Could it be a plane?

No, it doesn't have
wings to help hold it up.

We don't see any heat coming
out of the back end of it,

which might be expelled from,

the heat from whatever
the propulsion system was,

so I don't put it in
any kind of a category

like an aircraft.

Marc D'Antonio
agrees this isn't an airplane

and he says a drone wouldn't
move as erratically as this.

But D'Antonio believes
that sudden movement

may be a key piece
of the puzzle.

Whoa, did you see that?

You're watching it
move through the sky

and then all of a sudden,

it's gonna go right
down to the ground.

So the way it's
flying right now,

it kind of looks like a hawk.

If you have to try to
assign it to something,

it most resembles
a bird of prey.

Is D'Antonio right?

Is this a bird on the
hunt for its next meal?

Science writer Mick West agrees,

the thermal camera
does offer a clue.

All that we can tell

about the temperature
of this object

is that it's warmer than
everything else in the scene.

It could very well be an animal.

So if it's
an animal, what kind?

West compares the object

to a known creature
that Joey also recorded.

Joey has this video here,

which is a creature that
he recognizes being a bat,

and you can see the
object flapping its wings.

If we take the two videos

and put them side by side,

you can see when it's more

clearly something with wings,

is actually a bit larger.

Even though you can't really see

anything like wings flapping
like that in the object,

it's hard to say.

I wouldn't rule
out the possibility

that this isn't a bat
and this is a bat,

but in both videos, it's
kind of very difficult

to see what's going on

because of the low resolution.

So what
do we have here?

If we can't see
any wings flapping,

it's hard to say
bat or bird of prey.

Has it turned out
Joey may have found

exactly what he was looking for?

I think a lot of the time,

when people think they
are summoning aliens,

they're just getting lucky.

Eventually, something's
gonna fly along.

But this is a UFO,

because it's unidentified
and it's flying.

I don't know what it is.

What the hell is it?

Could be a
bat, could be a bird,

could be something else.

I've made contact.

Our verdict? Genuine UFO.

While this could be
some sort of animal,

we agree with the experts

that the video doesn't give
us a clear enough image

to make that call
with confidence,

so it remains unidentified.

But when Joey does find
that definitive proof,

we'll be here to show it.

In a previous episode,

we brought you a
fascinating story

about an alleged UFO

caught on camera by
the Chilean Navy.

This image here not only stumped

the Chilean military for years,

but after examining it,

we couldn't find a
definitive answer either.

However one of our
experts, Mick West,

wasn't satisfied
with that explanation

and he decided to dig deeper.

November 11th, 2014,

a Chilean Navy helicopter
is on a routine patrol

off the coast near the
capital of Santiago.

They're testing
out a FLIR camera,

which stands for Forward
Looking Infrared,

when the pilot
suddenly observes this.

Two large orbs appear
to overlap each other,

then seem to release
a plume of gas.

The helicopter hailed the craft
by radio with no response

and it doesn't show
up on their radar.

The Chilean military
spent two years

bringing in an array
of different experts

to try to figure
out what this was.

They went through
all the possibilities

that they thought it might be,

and one by one,

they eliminated them.

Ultimately, they weren't able

to identify what
was in the video.

Chile has been

a well-known UFO
hotspot for decades.

In one report from May, 2018,

the crew of six
commercial aircraft

independently and
simultaneously spotted

three triangular light
sources flying in the skies.

So when this video stumped
the Chilean military,

our team took on the challenge

but didn't have
enough information

to come to a
definitive conclusion.

The Chilean
video has an object

that has all the appearances
of being something

that we would think of
as being an aircraft,

but we just don't know for sure.

While our original analysis

indicated this mysterious object

was possibly an aircraft,

in the end without
hard evidence,

we classified it
as a genuine UFO,

at least until we could
get more information.

But video analyst and
science writer Mick West

told us later he'd done
his own investigation

with his team at the
website, Metabunk.

They may have
solved in four days

what the Chilean government
couldn't in two years.

First, West says that
the original analysis

was right to suspect an airplane

and that the plume
behind the object

is a distinctive hallmark.

I recognized what was coming
out of the back of the plane

was probably what's called
an aerodynamic contrail,

which is a trail
left behind a plane

that usually appears
at lower altitudes.

Aerodynamic
contrails are formed

because when a wing decreases
the air pressure around it,

it also lowers the
air temperature.

If there is high humidity,

the drop in temperature
and pressure

can form a contrail cloud.

Then as the plane continues on,

we see the contrail disappear,

likely because of
a lack of available

water vapor in the atmosphere.

But why aren't we seeing
the shape of a plane?

West explains.

You'd expect to see a
clear outline of a plane,

but what we're
actually seeing here

is the infrared
glare of the engines.

Jet engines are very, very hot,

especially when
you're looking at them

from almost directly behind.

So what we're looking at here

is glare from the engines
obscuring the plane.

But how
can he prove it?

We have so much
information on the screen.

Right here, we have the
date. 11th of November, 2014.

We have the time, we
have a compass heading,

the aircraft's
latitude and longitude.

Mick creates the
path of the helicopter,

which as it turns out,

runs alongside
Santiago's main airport.

So we looked up,

in the flight tracking
software that was available,

what planes were in that area,

and we found Iberia 6830.

Mick plots
the coordinates

of Iberia 6830 on the map,

along with the location

of the helicopter.

Now if we take the camera

where the helicopter
actually is,

we can actually take some
of the images from the video

and we can actually fit them
to what we're seeing here.

We can see right here

the shape of the bay
matches perfectly

and we can see that
right in the middle,

where the crosshairs are,

is exactly where
Iberia 6830 was.

If you take a 3D
model of a plane

in the orientation
for that path,

it matches up in
size and in shape.

So I'm a hundred percent sure

that this is the right plane.

So after two years,

why didn't the Chilean military

come up with the
same conclusion?

Mick explains it began
with the helicopter pilots.

They thought
that this was

about 20 miles in front of them,

and so they looked in
the radar on that area

and, of course, they
didn't see the plane.

The reason they
didn't see the plane

was that the plane was
actually 40 miles away,

not twenty miles away.

and in fact, at the
end of the video,

the plane is a
hundred miles away

because it has traveled such
a long distance in that time.

But all this time,

they were looking
in the wrong place.

Our revised verdict?

This is a commercial airplane.

Thanks to Mick West and his
team for solving that one,

but what about all

the other mysterious
sightings over Chile?

Well, maybe their
official agency,

the Committee for Studies of
Anomalous Aerial Phenomena

should go to Mick the next
time something unusual

pops up in their skies.

The Roswell
Incident in 1947

launched our obsession with UFOs

and eyewitness accounts of
strange objects in the sky

were reported around the globe.

But on a warm summer
day in the 1950s,

a Montana baseball field

became the site of
what just might be

the greatest grand
slam in UFO history.

August 15th, 1950,
Great Falls, Montana.

Baseball coach Nick Mariana

is out scouting a new ball field

accompanied by his secretary.

He's brought along a 16-
millimeter film camera,

but what catches his
eye isn't the field,

it's in the sky above it.

We zoom in and focus
on what Mariana sees.

The 11-second clip
captures two silver objects

appearing to fly in tandem
across the Montana sky.

This video is particularly
interesting to me,

mainly because this was before
satellites crowded our sky.

So seeing some light
traveling across the sky

was a very unusual event.

What we're looking
at here, potentially,

could be the very first
UFO video ever captured.

Mariana's
incident occurred

during the UFO craze of the
late forties and early fifties.

It began when Kenneth
Arnold first reported

seeing strange objects fly
into Mount Rainier in 1947,

coining the term flying saucer,

and it hit a fever pitch
after the Roswell Incident

in New Mexico that same year,

which has since become a
touchstone to pop culture.

But what's striking here

is that Mariana later
described the objects

as silver spinning disks,

much like what may have crashed

in the New Mexico desert,

depending on who you
ask about Roswell.

The initial report was that

the military had
found a flying disk,

so it was picked up by
newspapers across the country.

Then pretty much immediately,

they retracted their story and
said it was a weather balloon.

And the change in the
story led some people

to think that there's a little
something fishy going on.

Many believe the Roswell
Incident is a coverup.

Nick Mariana was so
convinced he'd filmed a UFO,

he reached out to the US Air
Force to report the incident.

They examined his footage,

now it's time for our
experts to do so as well.

With today's technology,

it's quite easy to insert
UFOs into digital video.

But back in 1950,

Nick Mariana didn't have
the computer technology

needed to doctor a video.

That makes a big difference.

This eleven-second film

was captured on 16-
millimeter film,

which makes it almost
impossible to doctor.

Whatever we're seeing here

was captured in
camera, in the moment.

So we can rule
out that this was a hoax,

but the Air Force told Mariana

that what he'd recorded
was two F-94 fighter jets

flying near Great
Falls at the time.

Maybe that's the
case and maybe not.

There's controversy,

because the jets were known

to be in a very
different area than here.

The explanation that
this was, you know,

what appears to be the
reflection off of the F-94 jets,

one problem with that is anybody
who's looked up in the sky

and seen the sun
reflecting off of a plane

recognizes that as
the plane's in motion,

where the sun is
relative to that,

that's gonna change that
reflection a little bit.

It can cause flickering,

it can cause it to dim.

For physics buffs,

this phenomenon is called
the law of reflection.

When ray of light strikes a
silvery or mirrored surface,

it's reflected away from the
surface at the same angle.

So if you move that
mirrored surface,

the reflection shifts with it.

And suddenly you can
clearly see an aircraft,

but in this instance,

we see a consistent
light source.

That would be more consistent

with something that
is actually, you know,

displaying light itself

rather than reflecting light
from an exterior source.

It certainly doesn't
appear to be F-94 jets.

So McMillan
is confident

the craft are emitting
light, not reflecting it,

but maybe there is
some other explanation.

In the past, we've seen
that some kinds of birds

can be mistaken for UFOs.

Is that the case here?

I don't believe that
is in the cards here,

because the tower is
a couple hundred feet

or more from Nick Mariana

and then beyond that
are these objects.

They're moving so fast
that they'd have to be

very, very, very fast birds.

In a dive
falcons can reach speeds

of over 200 miles per hour,

but these objects are
moving horizontally;

and the fastest
birds, like ducks,

are closer to the 70-
mile-an-hour range.

Whatever Mariana filmed
appears to be flying

several times that speed.

So it just doesn't fit.

If they were jets,

it would be relatively simple

to show that they were jets,

and no one would hide the fact.

So how come we don't
know the answer?

So our verdict on
the Mariana film,

there's room for debate here,

but the Air Force's explanation
isn't doing it for us,

so we're gonna call
this a genuine UFO.

One thing's for sure,

we've come a long way since 1950

both in the technology
we use to document UFOs

and also our government's
attitude about reporting them,

even if it can't
say what they are.

Our next video
takes us to Texas

and a strange
sighting in the sky

that alarmed a group of friends.

Was it proof of a UFO

or just a mystery the size
of the Lone Star State?

September, 2018.

It's a warm night
in Tomball, Texas,

just north of Houston.

Nick Daily and a
group of his friends

have come home from dinner
to their apartment complex

when they are astounded by
mysterious lights in the sky.

Oh my God.

Take a closer look.

Three teardrop-shaped
glowing objects

appear to hover in a
deliberate, coordinated motion.

Nick's friend also
begins recording.

One thing is for sure,

Nick has never seen
anything like it.

They were circling
around in formation

and then come back to
a triangle formation.

It was incredible.

But as the crowd stands

transfixed by the
mysterious lights,

the UFOs suddenly disappear
and then reappear.

Look at 'em,
look at 'em, look at 'em.

Nick is convinced,
whatever he witnessed,

it's not from this world.

I am ex-military.

I was in the United
States Air Force.

I've never seen
flares act like that,

I've never seen
planes like that.

It looks like UFOs to me.

These very strange
UFO-type lights

have been seen as
recently as April of 2022

in a town called Kyle, Texas.

These lights emanated
a sort of orange glow

and local officials came
up with no explanation.

These eerie,
shimmering lights

are similar to the
ones seen in Tomball,

but with one even more
mysterious difference.

In the case of the
Tomball UFO sequence,

we have something that has
been referred to as phasing,

that some of these craft
change their atomic structure

so that they appear

to be dematerializing
and re-materializing.

So is Texas rife with UFOs?

One of the first reported
UFO incidents in Texas

was on April 17th, 1897,

when a UFO crashed on a
farm near Aurora, Texas

with claims of an alien
pilot found dead inside.

So have those aliens returned,

or is there another
way to explain

what Nick and his friends saw?

Let's ask the experts.

We examined the file

to determine if there were

any original file signatures.

No known file signatures
were identified

and at this low
spatial resolution,

it's very difficult
to make determinations

in reference to CGI.

However, when the videos

are placed side by
side and synchronized,

whatever occurred in the sky

appears to be consistent
across both videos.

Are we simply looking
at conventional aircraft

like an airplane or helicopter?

We're not saying movements

that are consistent with
fixed-wing aircraft.

What we're looking at here,

they're really close.

So they're violating how close

you want to be to
another aircraft.

Close proximity, it becomes

even more dangerous
for a collision.

McMillan
is also skeptical

these could be another
common flying machine.

Drone would match up best

for what we've seen so far,

but if they're drones,

we have to start
taking into account

the amount of energy it takes.

And so for these to
be bright lights,

they're not gonna be able
to stay up for very long

'cause they're just gonna
drain that battery power.

Could they
be sky lanterns?

Sky lanterns are possible

but they don't move
the way these did.

Sky lanterns are very
subject to the wind.

What they wouldn't do is sort
of circle around each other

and at certain
points in the video,

they're leaving,
like, a tail almost.

That is very
telling information.

In fact,
D'Antonio believes

those streaks are the
final piece of the puzzle.

I think that this actually

was very likely
skydivers with flares.

But if these
are nighttime skydivers,

why then would they be jumping
over Tomball, Texas at night?

D'Antonio points to a
similar event in Tomball

five years earlier in 2013,

which also featured
slowly drifting lights.

There was
a high school game,

and they did in fact have
skydivers with flares

skydive into the game.

When you actually saw
the three in the sky

and they separated
from each other,

and they actually left
trails behind them,

and that trail could
be illuminated smoke

from the flare brightness.

While D'Antonio
makes a strong case

for parachuters with flares,

Our research hasn't
been able to confirm

there was a parachute
demonstration

that night in Tomball.

And without definitive
visual proof,

we think many
alternate possibilities

are still on the table.

Our verdict? For
now, we're gonna go

with unexplained phenomenon,

but if you're in Texas,

be sure to keep looking up

and send us what you see.

Our next story goes
back more than 50 years

and despite that,
wouldn't you know it?

It's received newfound attention

and is now being called
the best UFO photo ever.

It's September, 1971

and Sergio Loaiza is flying
over Costa Rica's Lake Cote,

photographing the terrain
for the creation of a map.

But once he lands and begins
developing the pictures,

one snapshot captures
something at 10,000 feet

that appears to be
extraterrestrial.

Take a closer look.

At the edge of the
frame, above the lake

is a shiny disk-like object

bearing a striking resemblance

to the quintessential
flying saucer.

Sergio recalls discovering
the startling object.

The photo was
examined by researchers

who deemed it authentic,

but it wasn't until 2021

when attorney and UFO
enthusiast Esteban Carranza

got ahold of the photo

that the story got
really interesting.

My uncle, he managed to
obtain a copy of the negative

and then say, "Aha,
I gotta find a way

to produce a really
high quality scan."

What it is? We don't know,

but we know it's real

and that's where we need

serious scientific
and open analysis.

Esteban releases
the photo on Twitter

and the internet explodes.

What's interesting
about this photo

is that the frame

prior to this shot

and the frame after this shot

does not show this object.

Some people believe
that it's evidence

that this object can cloak
and become invisible,

some people believe
that it's able

to move incredibly quickly,

and some people believe
that it's interdimensional

in that it was able
to leave our dimension

and go somewhere else.

So there's a lot of speculation
around this photograph.

In previous episodes,

we've shown you UFOs
sighted near volcanoes

as there's a belief
among UFO-logists

that alien craft are
attracted to volcanoes

and other high-energy sites

for the purpose of refueling.

Well this photo was taken

right next to the
Arenal volcano,

which was Costa Rica's
most active until 2010.

So could there be a connection?

Before we spend too
long on the why,

let's confirm the what.

More specifically,
what is this disk?

Our experts weigh in.

I've seen the photo ever
since I was a young kid

and so I know if it was hoax,

it would have to have been
done with older technology.

I don't see how it actually
could have been done back then,

'cause all the attempts
back then to do that

had some giveaways that
we could detect now.

If we're not
calling it a hoax,

did Sergio capture a real UFO

phasing in and out
of our dimension?

I looked at the way the
light is hitting this thing

and I compared it to the light
hitting the trees down here.

Look at the shadow angles,
they're all the same.

So this is the shadow
angle for the sun.

Now if we go back to the UFO,

this doesn't make any sense.

We wouldn't expect to see
any light on this side

at that angle,

so the lighting
is entirely wrong

for this being some
type of physical object

that is reminiscent
of, say, a UFO,

entirely wrong.

So if the
shadows don't match,

D'Antonio believes
that rules out

something like a
piece of equipment

that maybe fell from the plane.

But still, if the
photo isn't faked,

what does that leave us with?

D'Antonio has a theory.

Aerial
photographs were taken,

the cameras would be
mounted looking down

and there might have
been a glass cover

over the camera to protect it.

If your car gets hit by a
piece of gravel from the road,

you see that round fracture.

Just like a
chip in a car windshield,

D'Antonio believes something

may have struck the glass
of the camera housing

underneath the plane,

but he admits his
theory doesn't address

one of the central
mysteries in this case.

A conical piece of glass
that's been fractured

matches this object,

but I can't explain
why they don't appear

in the next photo frame.

I would expect they would
appear on many frames,

but only one frame?

That's a mystery.

The photograph
in question here

was captured at a focal length

of about 150 millimeters,

focal ratio F five point six.

Since we know that the
object was in focus

and the ground
was also in focus,

the minimal distance to
that object from the plane

had to be over 640 feet.

So it's something huge
that happened to be passing

under the aircraft at that time.

By McCarthy's
calculations,

this object would be at
a minimum 48 feet long.

If it's further away,
it could be even bigger.

So we have a large craft that
only appears in one photo

out of three taken
seconds apart,

meaning it must be capable
of traveling at fast speeds.

Could this simply be a
conventional aircraft?

This was captured in 1971,

long before any kind
of drone existed.

A helicopter or an airplane

wouldn't have looked like this.

So we can really easily rule out

most existing
aircraft at that time.

For McCarthy,

the lack of any conventional,
identifiable marks

leaves him with
only one conclusion.

It's very rare I
come across a photo

that I can't easily
explain away,

and I think what we have here

is a genuine unidentified
flying object.

Our verdict? Genuine UFO.

Our experts have put together
some compelling theories

and we agree it's not
a chip in the glass.

But as D'Antonio noted,

if there is
something real there,

we still haven't
accounted for the fact

that the light and
shadows don't match.

Anyway, now we
see why this photo

is getting all the love.

The Great Pyramids of Giza

are the only one of the Seven
Wonders of the Ancient World

to survive to this day.

But this next video
could have you wondering

whether they're connected
somehow to UFOs.

December 3rd, 2020,

a group of friends are
enjoying an evening

taking in one of the world's
most famous landmarks,

the Egyptian pyramids at Giza.

But believe it or not,

it's not the four-and-a-half-
thousand-year-old monuments

that grab their attention.

What's in the sky above
them steals the show.

Take a look, the pyramids are
in the bottom right corner

and three lights appear

to be hanging in the
night sky above them.

Oh my God.

What is going on?

The video zooms in,

revealing that the
largest of the lights

is a diamond formation
of smaller lights.

It doesn't have
a typical shape

of a UAP that we're
used to seeing,

things that are round,

or spherical or kind of oblong.

Instead, we can see
a diamond formation

and then after a few seconds,

these lights seem
to just separate

and fall down from the sky.

This isn't
the first time

this strange phenomenon has
been seen in Egyptian skies.

This incident looks similar

to something that happened
at a US military base

near the border of Egypt

in December of 2014.

Three cavalry scouts trained
in identifying aircraft

saw what they believed
to be bright lights

hanging in the sky,

and they couldn't identify
what these aircraft were.

As they watched, the
lights began to spin

and emit other lights

that seemed to fall away
from the main group.

Seems a lot like what happens
at the end of this video.

Is there a connection?

Could these both be
legitimate UFO sightings?

It's been believed
by some for years

that alien civilizations
actually interacted

and influenced ancient
Egyptian civilization.

In fact, Teitel explains

the 1994 Hollywood
movie "Stargate"

presents an idea of how
that may have happened.

The movie opens with the
discovery of a wormhole

inside the pyramids at Giza

and in 2017, a team
of archaeologists

discovered that there is in fact

a large empty space
inside the pyramids,

and some wonder if that
couldn't be the wormhole

or the Stargate as
predicted in the movie.

Okay, while "Stargate"
may be fiction,

the tombs of the
very human builders

of the Egyptian pyramids

have already been discovered.

They are very real.

Still, some scientists
have postulated

wormholes could be possible,

so we won't shut down the idea,

at least not until
our experts say so.

Could this video
just be a UFO hoax?

If it were a fake,
it'd be extremely boring.

I would have UFOs zipping
off in different directions

and various other
kinds of things

to make it more interesting,
and more compelling.

It's more like
somebody recording

an event that's taking place.

In fact,
Hoffman suspects

he may know exactly
what this is,

nighttime parachuters
with flares.

There was an event that
was taking place at Giza

in November 2021, called
Jump Like a Pharaoh

where parachutists were
jumping out of the planes

over the pyramids.

When parachutists jump
out of an aircraft,

they start to hook up,

especially when they're
doing demonstrations,

and then they start to separate

so that the parachute doesn't
engage the other person

and then they start to
gradually drop to the ground.

However, according to
aviation expert Tim McMillan,

if these are parachuters,

they should all be
moving downward.

Yet some hold their
position and even rise.

And it turns out, the
Jump Like a Pharaoh event

was held the month before

this video was
allegedly recorded.

Then what about sky lanterns?

Those float up, down
and use fire to do so.

You could have a bunch of
lanterns in a giant display,

but each of them would
now be totally dependent

on wherever the wind takes them.

However, in this, we see
these independent lights

that move in differing
directions from each other.

I would expect them all to move

in a consistent pattern

along with wherever the
wind was carrying them.

McMillan is
left with one conclusion.

We certainly see several
behaviors by these objects

that defy flight characteristics
as we understand them.

I have no explanation for that

and I have no clue what this is.

Categorically, it is a UFO.

Our verdict? Genuine UFO.

Whether these lights
arrived through a wormhole

is still to be determined,

but if you wanna get a bird's
eye view of the pyramids

like these diamonds
did, it's not too late.

The Jump Like a Pharaoh
event happens every year.

For a while now,

we've been covering
a worldwide movement,

a subculture really within
the broader search for UFOs.

It's a group of people

who not only believe
extraterrestrial visitors

have been coming to the planet,

but that we humans have
the power to summon them

and spot them with infrared
binoculars like these,

and they say there's
video to prove it.

October 2021.

It's a clear and cool evening

in the quiet town of
Meriden, Connecticut.

Bruce Waterbury is
out on his back deck

with a pair of
infrared binoculars

looking for signs of
extraterrestrial activity,

when suddenly, he sees this.

A large bright light
moves in the sky

across a field of stars.

Take a closer look.

Its shape appears to be solid

and close to a near
perfect circle.

There are no blinking lights

and it doesn't appear
to expel any exhaust

or have visible
means of propulsion.

It was like shimmering,

just shimmering, super bright.

And it was just quiet,

and the adrenaline was rushing

through my arms and everything,

so it was a little shaky.

Then after Bruce

circles a laser
pointer around the orb,

it appears to shrink in size

and then suddenly disappears.

But Bruce doesn't
believe this UFO sighting

was some random occurrence.

I believe
there's alien life.

I'm not an expert, but I
try to follow the steps

to make contact with
extraterrestrials.

new trend in UFO circles,

called CE5.

CE5 is a UFO summoning group.

The people who are
involved with CE5

use a special app, certain
frequencies and meditation

to try to summon UFOs
so they can see them.

Sound strange?

Well, the idea of
contacting aliens

isn't as radical
as you might think.

In fact, a group called METI,

which stands for Messaging
Extraterrestrial Intelligence,

was formed in 2015 to
establish a scientific protocol

for contacting aliens,

albeit in a higher tech
way than CE5 summoners.

METI is a group that transmits

interstellar messages
via radio telescope,

basically putting
messages out into space

in the hopes that someone
will receive and hear them.

In 2017, METI sent a
message of scientific

and mathematical equations
to Luyten's Star,

which sits twelve light
years from the Earth.

Now, Luyten's Star was chosen

because of a planet in
its solar system, GJ273B,

which has been
called a super earth.

It's nearly three
times as large as Earth

and thought to be
a good candidate

for extraterrestrial life.

But can UFOs be summoned
from there or anywhere else?

Let's see what
our experts think.

Aircraft have red lights,

they have green lights,

they have a bottom strobe.

So we can immediately
say it's not an airplane

and it's not a drone in my view,

because you'd have to have
a very, very bright light,

which wouldn't make any sense.

And when you get UFO reports,

you hear the object
move through the sky

at an unbelievable speed,

and then did a 90-degree
turn to the left or right.

But in this particular case,

we don't see any of that.

So if it's not a UFO,

is it something
more down to earth?

An animal seen among the
stars almost every evening?

I have seen some
night vision imagery

of things that fly
across the sky,

but usually they're
objects like bats.

And creatures like bats

have a very erratic
flight pattern.

Instead, D'Antonio
points to the smooth motion

and path of the object
as a defining clue.

If you look in the night
sky any night of the year,

you can see upwards of anywhere

from five to 10
satellites an hour.

But if
it's a satellite,

why does it look like a
glowing ball of light?

D'Antonio thinks
he has the answer.

A satellite could have been

high enough up in the atmosphere

where the sunlight was hitting
it and illuminating it,

and it was reflecting
the sunlight,

and it was dimming because

it was going over the
Earth's terminator

into the Earth's shadow

and so it saw less and
less sun until it saw none.

But based on
the size of the object,

Rich Hoffman
respectfully disagrees.

It looks relatively large
compared to the stars,

which would tell you

that it's relatively
close to the observer,

and so in that context,

you would be saying that, well,

possibly that's the
Earthlight Phenomena,

which are basically
balls of gas.

They're a bubble
moving across the sky

and they emit a light,
different colors.

They tend to be near ground

and getting up to maybe
about 2,000 feet altitude

and moving in a straight line.

Hoffman says one theory

is that earthlights
are generated

by tectonic strains
within the Earth's crust

that create an electric charge,

which ignites gases
released within the ground.

It's the closest match
that I can come up with,

but can I conclusively say
that that's what it is?

No.

So it would fall
into the category

of being an unidentified
aerial phenomena

until it's proven otherwise.

Because even when you want
to call it something else,

you need to really have
that convincing evidence

that supports the fact

that that's what
it really would be.

Our verdict? We're
going with genuine UFO.

Although both our experts
have good arguments,

as Hoffman says, until we can
get more definitive proof,

we feel we can't say
exactly what this is.

But one thing we do
want to make clear,

using a laser pointer
in the night sky

is not only dangerous
to pilots and aircraft,

but illegal.

So if you want to do
any pointing at UFOs,

use your finger instead.

Could these videos be proof

that aliens are trying
to make contact with us,

or are they waiting for
us to make the first move?

If we try to summon them,

let's just hope they don't
charge by the light year.
