All language subtitles for 31 - Import CAD into Sketchup Scene English

Hey, guys, welcome back to our first section of the course.

So in this video, we're going to learn how to import AutoCAD plans and to sketch up.

Now, before we import AutoCAD blends in a sketch up, I want to quickly run through those basic necessities.

What you need in your article plan.

We don't need everything to be important.

Sketch out just the basic ones so that we're good to go for our modeling as well.

I think in the US they start with the first floor and then the second and third button in yes density

the ground floor, first floor and second floor.

So it's always Duplass one, Duplass two, Duplass Stan and so on.

And you can also notice that I've deleted all star dimensions, so this is essentially a walking drawing,

which I've boiled down to just the bare necessities.

So we have our walls of windows, furniture, our God and our road.

We can also delete our furniture if required, if you don't want to see that in SketchUp.

And these are the bare necessities that we need to import into SketchUp.

And it's also important.

Federative this plan in order to complete shift.

And the materials bought into it.

You can see that my plan is perfectly horizontal in some cases.

There would be lines on the top.

These are our three plans.

The ground floor, first floor and second floor.

And we're gonna put this in SketchUp.

So type in comptrollers to save even Odegard and close.

So I'm going to open sketch up, number plate sketch up to open it up.

We can delete lotto, so select all delete.

I'm going to change my format to AutoCAD file format.

Select the file.

That is another useful function of the tape measure tool as to scale stuff in SketchUp.

Now, let's say I want to scale this down.

So that's Elix, all the layers and click on the minus button.

Now we need to move the content to default.

So click okay?

And it moves all of it to untagged layer, which is the default.

What's going to create a new tag and cause it is holds.

You can go ahead and create multiple tags and assign your and mardon Scooby's tags, but you're going

to use this tag.

And we're going to make this tag as active bag based, simply clicking on the corner of this back.

So the pencil changes you.

And this is our active tag.

So what do we model in our sketch?

From your own oak is going to be in that whole stack.

So we've imported all the good plan.

And in the next video, we're going to start creating a waltz floor, slabs and more.
