All language subtitles for 16 - The Rectangle Tool in Sketchup English

You guys, welcome back to yet another video now in this video, I'm going to show you how to use the

rectangle tool and also to use it right?

So the rectangle tool is most often used compared to the line tool.

And to activate the rectangle tool, all you need to do is go to your main toolbar and get one the rectangle

to.

The shortcut for the rectangle tool is art, so you can either press it or you can click on the tool.

Like I mentioned before.

Make sure to always use shortcuts, because that would definitely increase your speed and workflow.

So to use the rectangle tool, you can click ones and like I mentioned before, do not drag.

After clicking, simply click ones and release the left click most button.

And now if you click the second time, it's going to make your rectangle.

So that's so simple it is to make your rectangle.

Now, if you want to give a particular dimension to the rectangle, what do you need to do is I'm going

to press the spacebar to select my select tool and I'm going to click on the rectangle tool again.

Also, if you've noticed, I always switch between the select tool and then domain two.

So in SketchUp, it's super important to always keep using the select tool and then switch between your

other tools.

I like to press hard to activate the rectangle tool and now click once released the left, click Mouse

Now it's super simple to give a dimension for rectangles and sketch show.

First, you need to type in the width, so it's going to be 10 feet.

And then you need to press coma on your keyboard without pressing enter or any other key and then type

Now you can see in the bottom right corner that they've opened 10 feet or 10 apostrophe comma, twenty

So boom, you made our rectangle, which is 10 feet by 20 feet.

Now, let's say, for example, you want to draw a rectangle on the green axis or on 3-D.

And if you want to draw on another plane or in the X-ray plane or x y z plane, I'm not sure which plane

it is.

You simply need to press the right outlook on your keyboard to it, snaps to that plane.

And you can then give a different dimension.

So I'm going to give 10 feet, come off 15 feet and then press enter.

Similarly, if I want to draw a rectangle on the green axis or on the right axis, I press the left

hierarchy and it snaps to this plane and now I can give another value, say twenty five feet.

Coma, 15 feet.

So that's so simple it is to make it in different planes as well.

And finally, if you want to snap it to the planned view, all which is the X-ray plane.

The main plane in SketchUp, it's a good idea to snap it by pressing the top at OK, so this way it

would not snap to any other object.

Let's say, for example, if I'm drawing a rectangle this way, you can see that if I hold it at this

point, it gets snapped to this edge.

So to avoid that, I press the top arrow.

And now it's always snapped to this plane.

So now I'm going to give a values here 20 feet.

Come on.

So that's so simple it is to create rectangles in sketch up.
