Welcome to the Hitchcock Hillbillies. We
had planned a series based on a family

of simple mountain folk who discover oil
on their land and move to the Murray

Hill section of New York.

Unfortunately, things didn't work out.
None of the family knew what the oil

And so instead of going to the big
city... They simply sold their farm and

down the road where the land wasn't so
slippery.

But somehow it came out that his mother
had just simply gone off and left him

to Northfield.

I gather she just had all she could take
of John Cooley.

So that's what's been eating on the old
man.

Stern and rigid as he is, Tommy seems to
love him.

He's an honest boy. He wouldn't just
sneak off.

Susan, how can you be so sure?

Now, there is a grain of truth in what
the old man said. You have been

encouraging Tom to go to school.

Well, he's a bright boy.

So it doesn't strike me as being too
strange that maybe this boy would go out

You can see where the body was pushed
over the side. The ground's too hard to

hold prints, but you can see where the
brush is broken off.

Look, until we can get the lab report on
the car, there's not much I can tell

you. He was killed the same way as the
Cooley boy, wasn't he? Well, it looks

like it, yes.

Will, the murderer, it isn't a stranger,

couldn't face it. I dragged the boy's

Couldn't be sure.

been abandoned as a project, I have
