Last year, when my mother was in prison, she met so many wonderful women who,

for one reason or another, found themselves in the system.

They were smart and motivated.

but felt powerless to change their situation.

As a stalking victim, I know that feeling.

It's only been through my coursework in psychology and my study of women's

issues that I began to understand how to advocate for myself and others.

After my mom was released, she was inspired to create this amazing place
