Original subtitles

[TABI] Traveling with Snow Man.

Where is everyone?

[laughs]

TABI,

how are you doing?

[TABI] I am doing well.

TABI, what's your favorite food?

[TABI] My favorite food

is sushi.

-It's Hikaru. -It's Hikaru.

Meeting up on-site is kind of a hassle.

-I mean... -[Ryohei] Coming all the way to Okinawa.

I sat in front.

[both laughing]

I sat in front.

We have shisa!

Isn't Okinawa nice?

It's been about a year for me.

I visited Okinawa with Date.

I see. Was that two years ago?

Didn't you two meet?

Hikaru and I met up two years ago.

Did we meet at the aquarium?

Yeah. I was at Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium,

looking at the fish like this, then I looked over and saw

a guy with super pink hair.

I thought he looked like Sakuma, and he really was.

I wanted to go to the aquarium by myself,

so I got all the tickets the day before, rented a car,

and drove the two hours there and back on my own.

So proactive.

[Daisuke] It was crazy.

I hoped we could go again this time.

You don't get to go often even for work.

No, you don't.

I've been, though.

[Daisuke] Really?

My school went on a field trip to Okinawa.

Time's limited on field trips.

It's like "meet here at this time."

[Ryohei] Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Morning.

The way they showed up kind of ticks me off.

[Ryohei laughs]

[Shota] Good morning.

Have you been here, Fukka, Shota?

In middle school.

Like Abe's field trip.

-Hard to imagine Fukazawa here. -Yes.

You took a field trip to Okinawa?

-Morning. -[Daisuke] Morning, oppa.

[Shota] Morning.

-[Hikaru] Shut up. -[Shota] Here's another annoying guy.

Eager to be in Okinawa.

Aloha!

"Aloha" is Hawaiian.

Different place.

It's Eageraul.

My first time in Okinawa!

It's Eageraul.

First time?

-It is. -Me too.

First time ever?

-[Raul] First time ever. -[Daisuke] I'm surprised.

[Hikaru in Thai] Kob khun ka.

-Kob khun ka. -[Raul] Kob khun ka.

-Have you started? -Getting started.

You're so quirky.

We've been waiting.

Oh!

-Welcome. -Here he comes.

[all] There he is.

-[Daisuke] Ren! -He's here!

[Koji] Meguro!

-We've been waiting. -Sorry.

Hey there.

[Koji] We've been waiting.

Hey, why there?

Why not there?

Okay, you're right.

That's right.

That's right. Completely right.

-First of all, good morning. -[all] Good morning.

Congratulations on the 5th debut anniversary.

Thanks.

-Thanks. -Five years.

We've had a lot of firsts, like playing in stadiums

-and putting on live concerts... -Yes.

So I thought it would be nice to take on a new challenge

or new experience.

-In Okinawa? -Starting here.

Starting in Okinawa, we will travel all across Japan.

-[Raul] That's what this is? -Yes.

So the last episode's in Wakkanai?

On the opposite side.

Wakkanai say?

Hey!

Okay, I'll announce the theme for this show.

[Tatsuya] Hey, not yet!

-There? -That was fast.

Ready? Here's the theme for the show.

-[Tatsuya] It's in English. -Read it, Abe.

[Hikaru] Okay. What does that mean?

It means each one of us supports Snow Man,

and Snow Man works toward one goal.

I see... You're really good.

So as we travel, we won't just have fun.

We'll be thinking about what we can do for Snow Man

over the course of this journey.

-Deep. Very deep. -Deep, isn't it?

Yeah, maybe so.

-No... I want the mood to be lighter. -[members laugh]

You can think of it lighter.

Also, one more person is coming with us.

See, there's an extra snowman.

[Daisuke] But Snow Man is nine people.

-[Koji] True. -[Hikaru] There's one more.

A new guest every episode?

[Ren] Hey, what is that?

[Hikaru] It's called TABI.

-[Hikaru] TABI? -[members] TABI.

[Tatsuya] That's pretty on the nose.

Since "tabi" means travel.

Well, it can talk.

-No, no. -You're kidding.

-No way. -It can't talk.

How are you, TABI?

Hello. I am TABI.

It's nice to meet you.

-It really can. -Wow.

You can ask it any questions you have.

-Ask TABI? -[Hikaru] Yes.

Did TABI come from Tokyo too?

Where are you from, TABI?

Will it answer?

TABI wanders the cyber world.

-What? That's so sci-fi. -Cool.

We'll all have a barbecue today.

For real?

Yay.

So we'll be asking TABI

about the food menu...

Asking TABI?

...while we go shopping. So Date, take TABI.

-Why? -Why not me?

-This thing? -You're giving Dati your TABI, Hikaru?

-Yep. -[Shota] Dati and TABI?

We shouldn't dawdle. Let's get moving.

Okay.

-I'll take it. -Let's go.

Heck yeah, a barbecue.

[Koji] So we don't have to think about anything.

-[Raul] Barbecue's the goal, after all. -[Hikaru] Yeah.

-[Koji] Come on. -[Hikaru] All right.

[Koji] Let's go.

-[Tatsuya] Come on. -[Koji] Where to?

[Tatsuya] You mean, with this thing?

-[Koji] Okinawa license plates. -[Daisuke] This is cool.

-[Tatsuya] A motorcycle. -Wow.

[Shota] The motorcycle...

It's mine.

-[Tatsuya] What? -Really?

It must feel great.

-You're riding this? -I may get sunburnt.

Look, isn't that cool?

-Okay, I'll get behind. -[members laugh]

Nice.

-Isn't this cool? -Awesome.

-Shouldn't you switch places? -Wrong positions.

[Tatsuya] So, what are we doing with this?

Well, go shopping for food, like I'm about to.

Food. Yeah, yeah.

So I'll take care of things on my own...

-You're leaving us! -Hey!

[Koji] Come on!

-That's not right! -Hey!

-Who's riding behind? -You said it was us nine!

Leaving already?

Look! The sky is beautiful.

Where'd that come from?

-So much. -That was fast.

-[Raul] Let's get started. -[Koji] Not much time.

[Raul] Happy to ride shotgun.

Don't forget to shop.

[Tatsuya] Whoa, whoa!

[Koji] What'll you do, Teru-nii?

-I've got somewhere to go. -[Koji] Huh?

-[Hikaru] Take care. -[Ryohei] Will do.

-[Tatsuya] Don't go back first. -[Raul] We're here.

-Bye-bye. -[Shota] Going to the airport.

Don't go home.

[Raul] Bye-bye, Iwamoto.

See you! Don't leave!

Teru-nii!

-See you. -Bye.

-Don't leave. -See you!

-Don't go home! -[Daisuke laughs]

-[Ryota] We look anxious to go home? -[Daisuke laughs]

[โ™ช pleasant music playing]

[Hikaru] What kind of trip?

As you experience more and more things, I think

the older you get, the fewer things there are

that you can experience for the first time.

And when you do want to try something new,

you might be afraid or conscious of what others will think.

It's hard to take that first step forward.

So if we can experience more firsts through this trip,

whether between ourselves, the places we see,

the foods we eat, or anything that makes us feel like

"Wow, this is what it's like? I had no idea,"

then maybe we can come to love more the Japan we grew up in,

and we'll be able to look inward more.

I'm really looking forward to that.

I hope they'll cherish these firsts.

[Ryota] Wanna ask TABI something?

TABI?

I'm not sure what to buy.

TABI?

-[TABI] Yes, what is it? -[laughs]

You're so happy.

For barbecue ingredients,

I recommend Yunta Market in Yomitan.

[Raul] Market?

It has many Okinawan foods.

We can get everything.

Markets have it all.

Shooting on location with all nine of us is really rare, though.

-It is. -Totally.

Like, how many years since we've done this?

It might be a first.

-Coming this far... -[Ryohei] Of a distance.

We haven't gone this far.

Well, the Kanto area...

[Tatsuya] Yeah, we've done it.

This feels like a special anniversary thing.

It does feel like that.

Yeah.

[Ryohei] For sure.

Our seniors have done travel shows for their anniversary too.

-I've seen them. -I thought that was cool.

For sure.

Okinawa. It's your first time, right, Raul?

It is.

You want to touch the sea if this is your first time.

-Uh... -Right? At least with your feet.

Yeah, true.

Okinawa's all about food, though. That's what's most Okinawan.

Eat some goya champuru.

-I like goya champuru in the summer. -[Daisuke] Me too.

Perfect for summer.

Bitter is my least favorite flavor, though.

-I hate bitter most. -[Raul] Yeah.

But I like goya champuru for some reason.

-I get it. -It's different.

-It's different. -it's special.

-[Daisuke] Maybe this is the place. -[Raul] Oh?

-[Koji] Are we here? -Is this it?

YUNTA MARKET

-[Raul] Here it is! -[Koji] Thanks, driver.

[Raul] Thank you!

-[Koji] Thanks, TABI. -[Ren] Thanks, Abe.

-Thanks. -[Ryohei] Of course.

Here we are!

-See you, Abe. -I'm coming too.

-Thanks! -I said I'm coming!

-All right! -Good job.

-Excuse me. -Thank you.

-[Ryota] A market? -[Ren] Wow. It's a market.

Awesome, a market.

[Shota] Oh, they're selling bitter melon.

[Raul] Wanna get some?

-But we're making barbecue. -Right.

Do we get meat first?

-Buy meat? -Meat first.

Wanna take the cart?

-I'll go that way. -Over there.

What vegetables would be good?

Whoa, hey.

I want asparagus.

-Sugarcane! -[Raul] Wow, awesome.

[Daisuke] Let's get some.

-We can get some of this, right? -Sure.

Let's pick some meat.

-Sounds good. -All right.

Wait.

[Shota] Let's get an Okinawan meat.

That looks Okinawan.

But look. Even the steaks are from Okinawa.

[Tatsuya] Then let's get some.

[Shota] Let's go with steak.

[Tatsuya] Let's go.

-Red meat. -Is four enough?

You're paying, Abe.

-Me? -Thanks.

TABI, do you have any recommendations

for our upcoming barbecue?

[TABI] Yes.

Since you have nine people,

how about yakisoba with Okinawa soba?

Yakisoba with Okinawa soba noodles?

I recommend them for their chewy texture.

Yakisoba with Okinawa soba.

I understand. Thank you!

-Guys. -[Koji] Yes?

-I just asked TABI... -What?

-What to eat at the barbecue. -Okay.

It said yakisoba with Okinawa soba.

-Sounds good. -Okinawan yakisoba?

-Wanna get stuff for yakisoba? -Sure.

We choose too much greens for a barbecue.

But greens are important.

[Raul] What goes in yakisoba? Oh, we need onions.

-You said you want yakisoba. -Let's do it.

-Here's Okinawa soba. -They have it. Let's go.

-[Tatsuya] There it is. -[Ren] Wanna buy it?

-[Tatsuya] Let's get it. -[Ryohei] Thick noodles?

[Tatsuya] Is two good? This and this?

-[Ryohei] Thin noodles? -[Tatsuya] Thin and thick?

We can mix them.

That'd be good.

-Did you get Okinawa soba? -Yeah.

TABI said yakisoba with Okinawa soba would be good to make.

That sounds awesome. Yakisoba with Okinawa soba.

Now, Okinawa soba...

Wanna go to the checkout, then?

Let's check out.

[Ren] Let's go to the register.

[โ™ช upbeat music playing]

[Daisuke] What?

Where's Iwamoto?

Where did Teru-nii go?

-Maybe he's already started. -[Daisuke] True.

Is he making charcoal?

He's an ace in the coal.

Ooh.

[TABI] After this,

we will head to HOSHINOYA Okinawa.

Oh, NABI's talking.

-It's TABI. -TABI.

Heading to HOSHINOYA Okinawa.

That's Hoshino Group, right?

It's navigating our journey.

That's nice of it.

Oh, here we are.

We're here.

We're here.

This is it!

Is it here?

-[Tatsuya] We're here. -[Koji] We're here! Thanks!

-[Daisuke] No problem. -We're here!

-[Ren] But Iwamoto... -[Tatsuya] We're here.

-Where's Teru-nii? -Where is he?

-Here? -Hey, look at this.

-What? -A fortress.

-Awesome. -What is this?

-That's crazy. -The trees are impressive.

It's sticking out so far.

You don't see that in Tokyo.

You really don't.

[Daisuke] There's a shisa at the entrance.

[Koji] Can we go in?

[Tatsuya] A shisa?

-A shisa? -[Daisuke] There it is.

[Raul] Nice.

-[Daisuke laughs] -Is this a hotel?

-[Ryohei] Stylish. -[members exclaim]

-[Daisuke] Cool. Like a music video. -What's here?

-Is this the final boss? -A museum?

-Hello there. -Teru-nii.

Come to the reception.

-This is crazy. -What is this?

-You're late. -What were you doing?

[Daisuke] I missed you, Hikaru.

[Hikaru] Thank you.

-[Ren] Thank you. -[Ryota] Ryukyu.

-[Daisuke] Thank you. -[Koji] Hello.

Thanks.

-[Koji] What is this place? -It's...

-[Ryohei] Cool. -This is reception.

[Daisuke] Reception?

[Hikaru] Let's go inside.

-Reception's done? -May I?

-Reception's over? -Checked in?

-Excuse me. -This way, guys.

Thank you.

Thank you so much.

-Thanks. -Excuse us.

[man] Please take the second and third row seats.

[Koji] We're going in two?

Splitting up again like before.

-[Ryohei] The weather is perfect today. -Not too hot.

-See you. -Yay!

-See you tomorrow. -See you.

-Bye-bye. -See you.

This is a nice hotel.

Isn't it? What is this?

I can't see the whole thing.

-[man] This is called Gusuku Hall. -Okay.

Gusuku is the Okinawan word for "castle".

-Really? -These are inspired by those castle walls.

Wow.

Right, some Okinawan castles are called "gusuku".

[man] Indeed.

Your knowledge is coming out.

-Yeah. -Your knowledge.

I brought it out.

-Wow. -Whoa, these trees are cool.

That twisty tree.

[Ren] Yeah, the trees are cool.

-Awesome. -I know.

It's like a tunnel.

Here!

What is this place?

Apparently, you have to climb this wall to get inside.

[Tatsuya] Really? That sure is a trial.

Did you buy the stuff?

-Yeah. -This is crazy.

-We did. -Crazy.

-What is? -Where were you, Iwamoto?

Me? Secret.

-Huh? -Ahh.

Where are we going?

Hey!

-Check it out! -What?

-Wow. -Awesome!

-Awesome. -No way.

I can't believe it.

-[Koji] A private beach! -[all cheering]

-[Ryohei] The sea is beautiful! -[Tatsuya] This is great.

[Shota] You can see the color gradient from here.

[Tatsuya] Awesome.

[Shota] Wow, isn't this spectacular?

-[Ryohei] Oh my gosh! -[Ren] It's so pretty.

Right here...

[Daisuke] The Okinawan sea is awesome!

[Ryohei] Paddleboarding.

Huh?

[Tatsuya] Wow, cool.

[Koji] The sand is white.

-[Tatsuya] Whoa, awesome. -Wow.

[Hikaru] So? Feel like Okinawa yet?

-I feel it. -At last.

-Finally? -We're here.

[Tatsuya] Okay, let's get in!

-I bet you could get in. -More than us.

I touched the Okinawan sea.

-[Ryota] You touched it? -[Ryohei] Nice.

[Koji] It's Raul's first time, right?

[Daisuke] Wait, this feels great.

[Raul] Mind if I take these off?

[Shota] Why not?

-[Daisuke] Wow, awesome. -[Ryohei] Nice!

-Cool. -You did it.

-He did it. -It's done.

Whoo!

[Tatsuya] I did it.

[Ren] Stop it, Shoppi.

[Koji] Shoppi?

Don't do that, Abe.

-Me? -[Raul] You got a change of clothes?

Wow, no one's looking.

Ren, you're looking. Say something.

[Ryohei] They're doing the Titanic scene on the hill.

[Ryota] Good picture.

Hold on. I want to get in too.

Whoa.

-[Ren] You too, Fukka? -[Ryota] You seem eager.

[Koji] Going up to your head, Fukka?

-Whoa, this feels great. -Wow!

[Shota] The view from here is great.

[Tatsuya] It's amazing.

-Squatting feels good. -[members laugh]

Squatting wide feels good.

Working your muscles feels good?

Is it cold?

Yeah... No, it's just right... I think.

[Ryota] This is it. The true fun.

[Ryohei] It's the true fun.

[Ren] Sakuma went too.

-[Tatsuya] This is great. -It feels so good.

Wow, it feels so good.

-You should get in. -This is great.

Shoppi's unsure. Cute.

It's warm, actually.

-Maybe because it's shallow. -[Ren] Shoppi.

What's Shoppi doing?

[wooden brush swishing]

Oh.

Hello.

Here you go. This is a traditional Okinawan drink called bukubuku-cha.

-Traditional? -Bukubuku-cha.

First, bring the cup close to your face

and smell the scent of roasted rice.

Roasted rice?

-Let's do it. -Let's.

Roasted rice?

It's cold.

-It smells good. -Smells sweet.

What's this?

-What? -It smells really good.

It smells so good.

-Fragrant. -[Koji] And it's cold.

Now take a mouthful of the foam from the top.

Huh?

-You eat the foam? -Are you sure?

-Yes. -That's right.

Okay. Here goes.

Is this proper manners?

Thanks for the tea!

It looks good.

Cute, Shoppi.

Wow, that feels strange.

That's interesting.

Never tasted before.

-It's light. -Light.

The cup is filled to the brim with jasmine tea.

-Jasmine tea. -Try not to spill.

-Careful. -Thank you.

Don't get it on you, Abe.

-Maybe it won't stick. -It won't.

That's a good way to drink it.

-Very good. -You're good at this.

-I got it on my nose. -This is delicious.

[Daisuke] This has such an Okinawa feel.

You can only have it here.

-Nicer with an ocean view. -Yes.

[Koji] Good.

Luxurious.

[Ryohei] The breeze feels nice.

[Daisuke] It's like a drama.

[Hikaru] So? Are you all enjoying it?

[Koji] This is the best.

-[all] The best. -[Ren] Thanks.

All right.

-I'll go get the barbecue ready. -Huh?

-Thanks for the tea. -Good work.

Fukka, Date, help me out.

Oh, we're picked?

To help with the barbecue?

What should we do, teacher?

There's a lot to enjoy in the hotel.

-What? -So you six...

-Huh? -We can just relax?

-Join us for the barbecue in an hour. -Okay!

This will take a while.

-We're blessed. -Really?

-Such good treatment. -Are you sure?

Yeah. Come on, Fukka, Date.

-Really? -Awesome.

See you in an hour!

-In an hour... Wait, no. -[members laugh]

-You have to go, Fukka. -Come on.

In an hour.

-Have fun, guys. -Have fun, you all.

But Fukka can't cook.

-My cooking is awful. -Do something useful, Fukka.

-Of course. -Thanks.

-Thanks. -See you later.

-In an hour. -Okay.

[โ™ช amusing music playing]

[Tatsuya] Who bought all this?

-Is it heavy? -Yeah.

What's this?

[Ryota] Hold on a second.

[Tatsuya] Whoa, bugs!

-[Ryota] This is too romantic. -Whoa!

[Tatsuya] This is great.

Awesome.

-[Tatsuya] Wow. -[Ryota] Amazing.

[Hikaru] Awesome!

[Ryota] There's so much here.

How about right here?

Wonderful.

-Wow, what a nice entrance. -Whoa, this is...

-What is this? -[Shota] This is great.

-That's the front? -Cool.

The inside's so cool.

Whoa, it's big inside!

-Wow, look at the back! -A pool.

[Koji] Oh, a pool?

-[Ren] Yeah, and something in the back. -[Shota] Wow.

-Oh my gosh! -[Koji] I want to get in.

-[Shota] This is... -[Koji] Wow.

-[Daisuke] Wow, nice! -[Shota] This bed.

[Koji] Can I dive on?

-[Ryohei] I want to stay here. -[Daisuke] This is our room.

-[Ren] Great. -[Ryohei] You can dive, Koji.

Thank you.

-Hey! -Thank you.

Hey!

Wow, it's the bath.

[Ryohei] Oh, there's a bath too!

-[Raul] We can take a bath. -[Ren] This is luxury.

[Daisuke] Very nice.

Wait, the pool is here.

Wait, that looks so fun.

We can jump right in.

-Awesome. -Watch out.

-Careful. -You'll fall in.

-That's crazy. -Oh my gosh.

[Shota] The Japanese-style room is nice.

[Ryohei] This place is the best.

It opens this way.

Wow.

Wow, this is great.

This is awesome.

And there's a staircase so you can go down.

For real?

[Ren] Toward the sea.

-[Shota] Oh, you're right. -[Raul] Wanna go?

Go take a look. I'll go if it looks good.

[members laughing]

[Ren] What do you mean?

I don't feel like working anymore.

-It's cool to watch everyone from here. -[Raul sighs]

[Koji] This is like Totoro.

-[Daisuke] Yeah! Wow! -A Totoro-like size...

What is this place?

What's this?

Hey!

[Daisuke] It's totally different!

[Koji] It's a private beach!

What a strange coastline.

What is this place?

Wow. I could stay here forever.

-The sound of water. -Wow.

The sound of water is nice.

Water is all you can hear.

[Raul] I want to dip my feet in the pool.

Sounds good.

It's probably shallow by that sofa.

[Raul] This feels good.

[Daisuke] Here I go.

It's strange to see it from here.

It's like it floats.

-True. -That's close.

Is that already maximum, Raul?

I could go one more level.

That's crazy, man.

Oh no...

-I went one more. -Can you go one more?

-Maybe I can. -The back of your shirt is in.

It is?

Watch out!

Interesting coal. I've never seen this.

[โ™ช pleasant music playing]

Okay, let's spread it.

[Ryota] You know, this is TABI's suggestion, but...

-Yakisoba with Okinawa soba. -Yes, let's make it for everyone.

I'd love to cook it.

Can you do that?

-[Tatsuya] I got this. -[Ryota] Can you?

[Hikaru] Whoa, be careful.

That's reassuring.

[Tatsuya] Okay.

[Ryota] Then take the insides...

Scoop them out. All right.

That's how you get them out.

-[Tatsuya] Pretty deep? -[Ryota] Yeah.

[Tatsuya] Deep. Deep.

[Ryota] Then this...

[Tatsuya] Oh, that's thin. It doesn't have to be thick?

[Ryota] Yeah. I think so.

[Koji] He said we're totally free for an hour, right?

-Can I sleep in bed? -Sure.

[Koji] I'm gonna sleep.

Is this really all right?

[Ryota] I'll take the peeled one.

-And cut it. -[Hikaru] Okay.

-Doing this together is great. -[Ryota] It really is.

-[Koji] Rau-chan. -Yeah. Let's go.

[Koji] Seems like we were fast asleep.

Let's get up. We're on a trip, after all.

[Raul and Koji chuckle softly]

[Ryohei] I can see the ocean.

[Koji] I'm hungry.

[Shota] All we'll do is eat?

[Tatsuya] Now sit down, sit down!

-Thank you! -Really?

Really? Are you sure?

[Ren] Why so hospitable?

Maybe over here.

-Looks good! -Here, on this side.

-Food's ready. -Awesome.

-Great. -This is awesome!

I'll get the bugs.

-Let's have a toast. -Yeah.

Wanna do KANPAI Year?

Let's toast to Traveling with Snow Man, Snow Man's first travel show!

Cheers!

-Did you say it? -I did. I barely heard it.

I said it properly.

Yay. Delicious.

Eat up.

-Thanks. -Thanks, guys.

-Thank you. -Thank you.

I think we should all make yakisoba together.

-Sounds good. -Yakisoba? Nice.

-This? -Is it warm?

The meat will disappear. Can I use chopsticks?

-Delicious. -[Daisuke] You can use this sauce.

Delicious.

Local sauce.

Thank you.

-Yum. Sea grapes. -Great shiitake.

Yum.

Delicious.

Sausage.

What's that? Good sausage.

It's really good.

-Soy sauce... -Here.

The standard choice.

-It's local. -Local stuff.

-Hirami lemon. -Hirami lemon-flavored.

Start cooking yakisoba?

-Wanna start? -Yes!

Everything is chopped.

-This? -You can just put it in.

Thanks.

-We'll put in bitter melon? -Yeah.

Let's go!

First the onion.

What should I do?

I tried to help but it looks like they don't need it, so I'll just eat.

[Shota] Eating is important too.

[Koji] I'm in charge of eating.

-Cheers! -The cook will be happy.

-[Raul] Wanna add noodles? -[Ryohei] Now?

[Tatsuya] It's cooking.

This is Agu pork and chicken.

[Daisuke] Agu pork is the best!

[Tatsuya] Hey, hey.

[Shota] Agu pork, here we go!

Look, they're doing something weird.

Yakisoba is ready!

Okay!

Wow, that's irritating!

-They'll only come back to eat. -It's done.

[Daisuke] Let's eat it before they arrive!

Take some of the bitter melon.

The bitter melon is great.

How is it?

-Is it good? -Very good!

[Shota] I heard the yakisoba is ready.

[Tatsuya] It's really good.

Is the yakisoba done?

-Yakisoba is done? -Yes.

With bitter melon?

This might be awesome.

It's good. Eat it.

The more the better with this stuff.

[Daisuke] I think I like this flavor.

It's fresh to have bitter melon.

Yeah, it is.

-Excuse me. -And because it's Okinawa soba.

Great noodles.

They're so chewy.

-Wow, delicious. -[Hikaru] Yum.

This tastes too good.

So how was today?

It felt a bit rushed.

But it was actually...

-Yeah, it was. -It was fun.

-We took it easy. -Enjoyed it.

Well, the journey will begin here.

You know how I went off on my own?

-[Shota] What were you doing? -[Raul] Yeah.

That's right.

[โ™ช pleasant music playing]

Whenever I'm working or traveling,

if I have the time...

I like to drop by a shrine nearby.

I might have been here before.

I like to go to shrines and temples often.

Maybe two years ago.

This is going to be a long journey.

So since I have the chance, I decided to go to a shrine in Okinawa

and observe the start of our journey from there.

I also went to give my greetings

on behalf of Snow Man.

It's not exactly a prayer,

but it's not often we can all come to Okinawa together,

so I felt obligated

to make a proper greeting.

Which one is good?

This one for a journey, right?

Charms for safe travels.

Nine.

For nine people.

Thank you.

I went to a shrine called Futenmagu

and got good luck charms for the trip.

It says something.

Since we're going to many places...

-[Ryota] Stylish. -[Ren] Starting here.

-Yeah, we're starting here. -[Ryohei] Very nice.

I bought them for you.

Wow, thanks.

[Shota] Awesome!

-[Daisuke] Cool. -[Tatsuya] Awesome!

-[Koji] You went there? -Yes.

-[Ryohei] Feels like a new journey. -Thanks.

-[Ren] Awesome. -[Daisuke] Thanks.

I really did go there to buy those.

But I've been there.

I like shrines.

[Koji] What kind of protection is this?

-Travel protection. -Thanks, really.

[Shota] Makes me happy.

[Ryota] Starting here...

-Exactly. -Yes, yes.

Until the very end.

It would be nice

-if we could put them here. -Yeah.

[Ryota] So, shall we go back?

-[Raul] Really? -[Tatsuya] You're going back?

I'll stay. I'm free tomorrow.

-Two people? -I'll stay.

-Two people? -Really? That's not fair.

You're staying there?

We didn't see it, but it's just a hotel, right?

That place? It seemed really cool.

-Wow, I'm envious. -You want to stay?

No, I'm a little worried about Abe.

This was a good start.

-Traveling with Snow Man. -Thanks.

-Good work. -Let's travel.

Okay, Fukka, clean up.

Of course. The barbecue's not over until it's clean.

-I'll miss you. -See you.

-See you. -Bye.

-Pool tomorrow. -Send pics.

I'll send a pic of me diving into the pool.

[laughter]

See you.

-Bye. -You can take that.

See you.

[โ™ช solemn music playing]

[Hikaru] No, no, this way.

Over here.

-Over here. -You're going to the right, yeah.

Whoa!

Awesome.

What's this?

Cool.

-That's the beach. -Wait a minute, how far is the sea?

Isn't it over there?

[Tatsuya] Huh?

Really?

We can go far out.

[Hikaru] We can.

It's warm.

Watch out.

-Careful. -Get in. See you.

Okay, I'll just...

-Walk out, then come back. -Home is that way.

Right.

Being on land is tiring.

Does it get very deep?

No.

Once you get in, it's impossible.

-Are you cold? -You can't get out.

That's awesome.

I can see the sun.

[Tatsuya] This is great.

Okay, let's go in.

You'd better get in there.

Ahh.

Good.

I'm in.

It's over. I can't get out anymore. I can't get out of here.

But since I'm here, I want to eat some Okinawan food.

Like at a pub.

In Okinawa.

-Food. -I want a specialty dish.

Let's get food. We can call a taxi.

-[Tatsuya] There it is. -Let's go.

Good evening. Thank you.

Okay. Let's go.

Yes.

TABI told me about a nice Okinawan restaurant.

We can go there thanks to TABI.

What? You asked TABI?

Yes.

[โ™ช pleasant music playing]

[Tatsuya] Is it here?

-Here. -Wow, awesome.

[Tatsuya] This is really narrow.

[Hikaru] Nice atmosphere.

[Tatsuya] For sure.

-[Hikaru] Very Okinawa. -[Tatsuya] Yes, Okinawa!

-[Tatsuya] Excuse me. -[Hikaru] Isn't this great?

-Good work. -Thank you.

It's really good.

[Tatsuya] Doesn't it taste good?

It's very smooth.

Whoa!

-[Tatsuya] Yes, yes. -It's popping.

This is it.

This is going to be good shabu-shabu.

RYUKYU PORK SHABU-SHABU

Wow, great sauce.

Black.

Whoa.

Delicious.

Which one did you have?

I had that black stuff.

-This? -One of these two.

It's kind of yuzu-like.

I used this stuff. Is that miso?

Is that ponzu sauce?

I can't tell.

-Whoa. -It's good.

-Delicious! -Isn't it great?

What is this?

-It's salted ponzu. -Salted ponzu? Looks delicious.

-What is this? -Black sesame.

-Black sesame seeds. -Oh, I see.

This is delicious.

-But you know... -What?

I was going to come to Okinawa before.

Oh.

That's right.

I'll never forget. February 22nd.

None of us can forget that.

I mean, you even booked a flight.

I booked a flight.

-I booked a hotel. -Booked a hotel.

I had a restaurant reservation made.

The car was reserved.

-Reserved activities. -Yeah.

And then...

I got stomach flu the night before.

-There was no way you could go. -[Hikaru laughs]

I don't get so sick often.

Yeah. That's why...

Places like hotels and restaurants...

are different from the last time.

But I wanted to eat with you like this.

-So I'm glad we got to. -Me too.

Yeah.

Now that your stomach's better.

Yeah. I'm glad.

Hot pot is nice this time of year.

Yeah, for sure.

This is kind of a local dish of Okinawa, right?

Right. This is Agu pork.

So, each of us will go to places from here, right?

-We're going to a lot of places. -Yes.

What if we keep getting hot pot?

Local hot pot.

So we can taste the local cuisine.

We could go to local restaurants,

and we could eat special hot pot of the region with all the members.

I think that would be fun.

-Like a rule. -A rule.

That's our only rule.

TABI!

TABI, are you listening?

What do you think about the idea of eating hot pot

when we go to various places on this trip?

[TABI] That sounds lovely.

-Then where... -I think it's very good.

Thanks.

So, TABI, you're going to come with us

for our entire journey.

So, when we go to a new place,

look up hot pot recommendations in that area.

[TABI] Okay.

-Sounds good. Thanks. -Understood.

-Thanks. -That's a good rule.

Wonderful.

[TABI] This is how Snow Man and I

began our journey across Japan.
