Last time on Walker, Texas Ranger.

I'll open the camera.

Daleth is stunned at the tragic and brutal murders of the entire Stanford

household. Same thing's gonna happen to your family, unless you wire $50 million

to my offshore account. What the hell's going on here?

Please, Amy's okay.

Amy doesn't look good.

Amy said that she was sexually assaulted.

If it's Thomas Openshaw, I can tie him to one of the crimes. Thomas Openshaw,

you're under arrest for the kidnapping, rape, and murder of Tracy Barnett. All

it proves is that he had sex with her, not that he kidnapped, raped, and killed

her. But what he doesn't know is that I have a tape.

The federal court in Austin is all yours.

All you have to do is produce a shred of evidence, and we'll send him back to

Texas on 13 counts of murder.

These federal marshals are here to escort Mr.

Openshaw to Austin.

If we're not in her courtroom by 3 o 'clock, Openshaw could post bail.

Tell Openshaw his troubles are over.

Hey!

Hey! Clear.

Clear.

Flatline.

I'd like for us to sit down and talk about our life together.

You mean about our marriage?

Yeah.

I love you so much.

I'm gonna try to make Lake Ebby, but I don't like that.

In the eyes of a ranger, the unsuspecting stranger had better know

wrong from right.

Cause the eyes of the ranger are upon you.

Any home you do, he's gonna see.

When you're in Texas, look behind you.

Cause that's where the ranger's gonna be.

Walter?

Oh, my head.

Relax, Alex.

I'll get us to Joy.

Is it far?

It's close.

One more time.

Fix the pulses?

We have a pulse.

Thank God he's back.

Gotta get to this time.

What happened?

We got lucky.

Knocked her out of the sky, right smack in the middle of Lake Eddie.

Good. Went down like a rock.

Might have a little bit of a problem here, though. I don't know how, but

the ranger and the lady survived the crash. I tried to knock them off in the

water there, but I ran out of ammo, so it's like... I don't believe this.

Hey, man, they were like a long way from shore. They probably drowned.

My employer's got too much to think to count on, probably.

So you're the only one who knows they're still alive and where they are?

Yeah.

The lake's, like, out in the middle of nowhere.

How fast can you get your hands on a cube?

Say, like, an hour or so.

Ain't gonna be cheap.

Fifty grand, cover it.

Like a blanket.

I'll have a squad of fully outfitted jungle fighters ready to deploy in an

You flag him in.

They're still alive. You finish the damn job.

You chill out, man.

Yeah, Ranger Trivette.

Ranger, Don Fillmore. I'm afraid I have some bad news.

What kind of bad news?

The governor's airplane has gone off the radar screen in the wilderness

somewhere between Dallas and Austin, with Ranger Walker and Miss Cahill on

board. You mean it crashed?

It's the only explanation.

Would you get a radio message or a distress signal?

No. They've staged the search operation out of Dallas.

Where? At the search and rescue unit at DFW Airport.

All right, I'm heading over then.

Any idea where they went down? Well, last radio contact was here, about 50

out of Addison Airport.

If something happened right after that, they could have gone down here.

Or if they veered off course, here, here, or here.

It's a wide area.

It doubles if they went down five minutes later. And again at ten minutes.

Fifteen, twenty, and after that, they're over the hill country.

What do you got up there now?

Ten choppers, four fixed wing, but they don't make a dent.

We're working out the sector assignments now and trying to round up the

resources to cover it all.

What do you think happened?

I have no idea.

Governor's pilots as good as they come.

Walker and Cagle survived the crash.

Tell me they're going to walk in here.

No, they went down a leg, Abby.

Hatch isn't sure whether they made it to shore or not, so we sent in a team of

mercs just in case.

So, what are the chances of getting me out of here?

Shouldn't be a problem.

Did you get the South African passport?

Yes, sir, and I have a private jet standing by.

Okay.

Okay. All I need is one hour's head start and they'll never find me.

All rise.

This is an informal hearing to determine if sufficient evidence exists to bind

Thomas Openshaw over for arraignment on the federal charge of kidnapping and

murder.

Mr. Fillmore.

Good afternoon, Your Honor. Thank you for making the time to hear this matter.

There is a situation which is not yet public knowledge.

As I'm sure you're aware, Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney Alex Cahill

and Texas Ranger Walker will present evidence that tie the suspect not only

the kidnapping murder.

but to a series of brutal... We know why we're here.

We're our Cahill walker.

I wish I could say.

I thought you said it was close.

Well, it's closer.

Your Honor.

Without evidence, there is no foundation for not dismissing the charge against

my client right now. Your Honor, I ask for only one more day. I'm sure by then

the governor's plane will be found, the evidence along with it. And God willing,

Cahill and Walker will be alive to present it.

Mr. Fillmore, you have until noon tomorrow.

Thank you, Your Honor.

Your Honor, I'd like to ask the court that you grant my client bail. Your

The evidence in Walker's possession, as well as a number of testimonies from

victims of the suspect, indicate that Mr.

Openshaw is in possession of a half billion dollars in extorted funds.

He is a flight risk of the highest order. And if you grant him bail, there

doubt in my mind that this is the last we will ever see of him. This is pure

speculation, Your Honor.

Mr. Brockmire, that's enough.

Suspect will be held without bail until we resume this matter at noon tomorrow.

They said that they don't know if you can hear me or not.

I don't care.

They said your heart stopped a full 30 seconds.

What's that about, huh?

You know, because of you, we caught those home invaders.

I don't know how you held it together long enough to write that message.

It went tough on me.

I know you're going to make it.

Hear me?

And when you do, I'm never going to tease you about that chili anymore.

After you kill him, you bury him so deep the worms can't get back.

Don't underestimate Walker.

I know all about Walker.

Put a lot of my old friends away.

I haven't looked forward to this.

All right, guys, let's get this baby out of here. We're losing life.

I'll see you on the other side, ass.

And bring money.

Out of here, PJ.

You could have a concussion.

That was my hard head.

I'd say more bull -headed than hard -headed.

Do you have the pouch with the evidence?

I have.

Oh, yeah.

I've got a score to settle with Mr. Openshaw.

Okay.

What are we going to do?

First thing is start a signal fire.

Do they know where we are?

No.

The radio is broken.

But if I know Phil Caswick, he'll have everything in the air but pigeons

for us.

We haven't assigned sectors that far down yet. You in the area?

No, but I will be shortly.

What's your ride?

Dress test in the Huey for a potential buyer.

Plan on doing some high -speed, low -altitude runs down here away from the

population. Well, Lake Ebby's a perfect place for that.

You need some eyes up here. I'm your man.

I can cover about 100 square miles.

Thanks, T .J. It's all yours.

Roger that. AB -201 out.

Okay, guys.

It's all ours.

Who was that?

T .J. Brody.

Answering our call for pilot volunteers.

Huey, that's a gunshot.

T .J.'s an ex -fighter pilot.

Test pilot. You name it, he flies it.

He's a little wild, but he's a good search pilot.

If that plane crashed anywhere near Lake Abbey, Brody will find it.

Good. Great.

I cannot believe you did that with two sticks.

Any Boy Scout can do it. Yeah, right.

Listen, Alex.

What is it?

Sounds like a Huey.

Hey!

Check it out down here!

Hi -bye, look at that.

Walker lit a fire.

KB -201 to Operation.

Operation Control.

Can you inform Commander Kestrick that I am in sector and commencing search?

See anything, T .J.? That'd be a negatory. It looks pretty quiet up here.

Run your grids. Check back with me.

Roger. It's the 201 out.

Okay, guys. He's all ours.

30 seconds to the O .Z.

I hear it. I hear it now.

I don't like it.

You don't like it? Why don't you like it? We're getting rescued.

They found us too soon.

But you said Phil Kesswick would have everybody in the air looking for us.

I know.

Just a feeling.

I wish you hadn't said that.

What are you basing this dealing on?

The guy that shot us down.

Knows we're alive.

And he knows exactly where we are.

Uncle, please tell me that these are the good guys.

They're not.

My God, Walker, there's so many of them.

Yeah.

Here, take this.

Where are you going?

I'm going to take a look around.

Where's your gun?

At the bottom of the lake.

Don't you go and get yourself killed.

Wouldn't think of it.

Thank you.

Walker got Thompson.

Right out. Sweep the area.

Can't be far away.

We gotta go.

Well, that's it for today, Jimmy.

We'll be back up as soon as we can.

Yeah, thanks, John.

Hey, we will find them.

You wrap this baby up yet?

Negative. All right, I'm out of here, pal.

We'll be ready for extraction at dawn.

10 -4.

All right, we're pulling an all -night patrol.

He's going to try to use the night to cut his odds even more.

If he doesn't know, we can see him in the dark.

On top of it all, I'm getting a cold.

I've got to go.

You're going to leave me again?

I'm going to set up a few surprises for them.

Walker.

I'll be back.

you to that.

What?

I'm gonna hold you to that about funning me about my chili. What?

I haven't been so happy to hear some words. Hey!

Stop!

You've been funning me, haven't you?

Want some water?

Please let me have some water.

Walker, we're at that place again.

What's that?

You and me, and things couldn't be worse.

Don't worry, Alex.

We'll get out of this.

Get some sleep.

Sleep? You scared me half to death. Now you want me to sleep?

Okay. Then I'll sleep.

How long will you be gone?

Until it's finished.

Stay quiet, and you'll be safe.

This is Operation Control. Please advise on the status of your search. Operation

Control, Sector 32 has been searched with negative results. Phil, we haven't

seen much of a field map out here.

We didn't spot a thing in that last grid, Phil.

You got notice? Not a thing.

Not even a sign down here.

Phil, you haven't searched the ground, Phil. Let's get the ground all off your

desk.

201 to operations.

I'll run the late frids again here, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm just kind

of spinning my blade here, partner.

Thanks, T .J.

Hey, look, there's tracks.

We've checked and cross -checked every grid and every sector. If that plane hit

the ground, we'd have spotted it by now.

What if it didn't hit the ground?

There's some good -sized lakes out there.

Oh.

Byron, call Houston. I want sonar capability, and I want it now.

Ping every pond, puddle, and lake between here and Austin.

Right.

matter of time.

Wait! That done deal ranger of yours just unloaded a couple of rounds into

side of my burn. I doubt it'll be one of your guns.

No, I'm out of here, pal. You're on your own.

Tell Hatch we'll get the job done and walk out.

Yeah, you're right where Walker killed you.

You'll never get away with it. Don't keep your mouth shut. You'll never know.

Walker!

We got your lady!

You got ten minutes to show yourself, or she eats a frag!

And I'm not reading any shape resembling the governor's plane. Thanks, Major.

Can you run a pass over Moon Lake?

Lincoln X -ray Bravo 422 on course for Moon Lake.

Not many ponds or lakes left.

SB -22 to search control.

We could possibly have a match in Lake Eddy.

Please stand by for confirmation.

Standing by, SB -22.

What's SB -22?

The Navy's next generation subchaser.

From 20 ,000 feet, it can lock onto a one -man sub 30 fathoms beneath the

surface. Sighting confirmed.

Target aircraft resting on the bottom of Lake Ebi.

Exact coordinates to follow.

Roger that, SP -22.

Ralph, get some divers over to Lake Ebi.

I'm going to go with you. Where's the nearest Ranger truck?

There's one refueling in a police hangar right now. Tell him they have a

passenger.

Do you heard the Ranger?

Except tell him he's got two passengers.

Your Honor, the wreckage has been found and divers are on the way.

I realize that it's noon, but I'm asking only for a brief lunch break before you

decide on the defense motion to dismiss. I'm sure by then we'll have some new

information. Very well, Mr. Fillmore. Court will recess for lunch. Your Honor,

please. With all due respect, it appears that you're allowing the prosecution

extraordinary latitude at the expense of my innocent client's rights.

Well, the court is in recess, and this is off the record. You're right,

Brockmire. I am giving them every break, because if what they allege is true...

I won't have it fall through the cracks of my court.

But after lunch, you better come up with something besides smoke and mirrors, or

you'll be the one bending over backwards, not me.

Yes, Your Honor.

Ten minutes are up.

Maybe it doesn't give a damn about her.

Yeah, or he's playing with our minds again.

Walker knows as soon as he shows his face, he's dead.

We have to kill all of us to save her.

Oh, yeah?

Well, that hasn't been a problem for him so far now, has it?

You're a wuss, Munson.

He knows no matter what choice he makes, he gets killed.

And he can't leave her behind, so he doesn't know what to do. So who's

with who's mind, huh?

I've just forced the famous walker to show his true color.

Yellow.

Grenade!

Hang on, bud.

Hang in there.

I got you.

All right.

Let's move out.

Move out?

Morton's dead and Davis is shot up pretty bad.

The bullet's still in there.

Let me get the shirt off.

Oh, my God.

Oh, Walker, what do you want me to do?

You're going to have to dig it out.

No, I can't.

Alex, I can't reach it.

You have to dig it out.

They're not down there. What?

Walker and Alex are down there.

The pilots, co -pilots are dead.

And the plane didn't crash. It got shot down.

Shot down?

Yeah. There's hundreds of bullet holes.

Look at that.

50 millimeter.

Obviously fired from another aircraft.

Yeah. Whoever did it should know they're still alive.

Walker and Alex are probably running for their life.

Or... Or what?

Well, they drowned trying to make it to shore.

Look, if a 50 -millimeter didn't kill Walker, no damn lake's going to do it.

I got to get back to Dallas.

Why? I don't know. I can't about that slug.

You might want to start with T .J. Brody.

Can we find him?

Yeah, he knows everything there is to know about aerial armament, from World

I spads to fighter jets.

He might be able to tell you what kind of wing cannon fired this 50 -mil.

Okay. Here, help me up.

I see it.

I got it.

Oh, God.

I think I'm going to be sick.

Here.

Go.

Your Honor, we have new information from the crash site. Go on.

It appears the governor's plane was shot down.

Probably an attempt to keep Walker and Cahill from appearing in your court.

The good news is they were not found in the wreck, and they're probably trying

to get to us as we speak.

It's been nearly 24 hours.

If they survived, surely they would have contacted someone by now.

Well, not necessarily, Your Honor. Lake Ebby is surrounded by miles of

wilderness. It would take some time to walk out, and they could be injured.

I'm asking for, Your Honor, is a continuance until tomorrow morning to

a chance. Your Honor, here we go again.

Probably and could be.

The area has been extensively searched. If they had survived, they would have

lit a signal fire.

There's no reason to keep my client in custody any longer. Your Honor, the man

is responsible for 14 deaths and the extortion of half a billion dollars, and

he's probably behind the shooting down of the governor's plane. Another

probably, Your Honor. May I remind the prosecution that Mr. Openshaw has been

custody all this time? I'm only asking for one day.

You're not going to get it.

You have until the close of business today.

If you can't present anything new by then, I will grant bail.

We'll be in recess until 5 p .m. Thank you, Your Honor.

It's not my fault they didn't die. You got exactly what you paid for. I put the

governor's plane on the deck, dropped a full load of firepower right on top of

it. But they're still alive. I didn't pay for still alive. Hey, man, so then

talk to your little John Wayne brigade that you sent out there. If they're

alive... You get your foot in here and get back out there. I ain't going

nowhere, Val. You can forget that.

Hell, Walker damn near took me out himself.

Quite a bit of all tea in China.

T .J. Brody?

Yeah? My name's Ranger Trevette.

You're the pilot that covered Lake Abbey's grid, right?

Yeah. And that's your Mustang.

Yeah, what about?

Well, I came here to talk to you about this slug, but that all just changed.

How was that search and rescue when you signed off?

Lack of fuel, you said, right?

Yeah.

Why didn't you say anything about taking fire?

Oh, there's a bunch of deer hunters that took pot shots at me when I was coming

in. You know, these guys get out there, they start drinking, you know, they

get... Yeah, I might be able to buy that if it wasn't for two things.

See, I found this slug on the governor's plane.

What do you want to bet it matches the bore on your Mustang's wing cannon?

I mean, that's a bunch of crap. You can't prove that.

I'm going to let Ballistic do that.

See, but here's the clinch.

This is Cole Hatch.

This is the man that hired the mercenaries to slaughter those wealthy

for open shop.

Since I find you two together, it's not an unreasonable leap to believe he hired

you to shoot down the governor's plane.

That's probable cause.

You're under arrest.

Where's Walker now? It's Kay. Go to hell.

No!

You're wrong, Ant.

We can't go on.

You're bleeding to death.

I'm going to light the signal.

He isn't here.

Another damn trick.

I'll tell you what, boys.

I'm out of here.

Where is he?

Wouldn't you like to know?

Yeah, I would, lady.

Neither you tell me.

I'm gonna have to blow your brains out

I'm gonna kill you.

Now you can light the fire.

No, no. Walker's been shot in the shoulder.

Let me get you out of here.

Yes, it's a travesty, Mr. Fillmore, but I've waited a half an hour beyond my

last ruling. It's now 5 .30, and I can no longer bend the rules.

Mr. Brockmire, I'm going to order your client released on $1 million bail, but

require him to turn in his passport before I release him from custody.

Thank you.

In anticipation of your honor's fair ruling, I have Mr.

Openshaw's passport, which I'll hand over.

The bail will be posted immediately.

Very well.

Mr. Openshaw, you're required to return to this court in six weeks for

arraignment. I'll be here, Your Honor, and I look forward to the opportunity to

clear my good name.

Assistant District Attorney Alex Cahill, I presume? Yes, Your Honor.

And this is Ranger Walker and Ranger Trevette.

Welcome back.

Congratulations on surviving what must have been an incredible ordeal. Thank

you. You have something to add before I close these proceedings? Your Honor, I

must vehemently... Sit down, Brockmire.

Ranger Walker?

Yes, Your Honor.

This pouch contains the evidence we obtained in the investigation of Thomas

Openshaw. It contains a videotape of Thomas Openshaw raping and strangling

Barnett.

Ranger Walker obtained this evidence under a legal search warrant of

residence. We also have two men in custody in Dallas, Your Honor. One of

Openshaw's co -conspirator in these matters, and the other is the pilot that

hired to shoot down the governor's plane, and both of them are willing to

testify for leniency. Which means life without the possibility of parole. We

have enough evidence to secure a conviction of a capital offense, so I'm

the federal government to return custody of Mr. Openshaw to the state... Texas,

where he will certainly receive the punishment befitting his crime.

Thomas Uppenchild will be remanded to the state of Texas.

Federal charges will be held in advance until the outcome of his trial.

Did she do that?

I just did.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Hope and Shaw sentenced to death. Three -month trial ends as Cahill gets her

man. That is a real nice article, Jenny.

Elegs, way to go.

I'm glad it's over.

That makes two of us.

Yeah, I did so soon forget these last 90 days.

Of course, I don't remember all of them anyway.

How are you feeling?

I'm good. I still get those pretty little lights up here in the corner of

eye, but other than that, I'm fine.

What?

What was it that you were saying just before the plane crashed?

Just before.

Brace yourself, we're going in.

No, before that.

Buckle up.

Before that?

Put on your life vest.

I'm going to try to make Lake heavy. Walker, you said you'd be serious.

Oh.

Oh.

You're talking about our wedding.

Yes. I am.

And it was a very special moment.

Did I ever tell you what White Eagle says about special moments in life?

Walker, I don't care about White Eagle.

Well, anyway, White Eagle says that a moment...

not seized, is a moment squandered.

And the will of life is ever turning, and that moment will be... Look.

You and I are going to have this serious talk, so you just come over here and

sit down.

You're not going to make this easy, darling.

Hey, Walker.

We've got an armed robbery in progress at the jewelry mart.

Well, I can't go to bed.

I'm having a furious talk with Alex.

You kidding?

Mm -mm.

Go.

Are you sure? Go.

Okay, if you insist.

Well, now, that was one of life's special moments.

CD. Wardell's a Mustang.

And you've got the bridle on him. The saddle's just a little bit heavy, honey,

and he won't take to the cinch. It's gonna happen, Ellie. That guy loves you

more than life itself.

Be patient, sweetheart.

Give it some time.

I know.

Because that's where the Rangers are going to be.
