Ranger Walker, we're heading north on Fremont.

Roger that, Walker. I'm flanking you.

Any shots fired?

No.

What was that?

Shot fired.

I'm coming in.

Get up.

Let's go.

Fake robbery.

Grand theft auto.

Assaulting civilians and police?

And you can throw in a few weapons violations.

These guys have had a very busy day.

Yeah, they have.

I can't believe they wrecked my car.

So, are you heading out to Camp Justice this afternoon?

Yeah, I'm going to stop by C .D.'s and have a lunch first.

I hear Luther's doing a great job out there. Yeah, he is.

So, what does he want you to do?

Well, he's starting a new program for the trustees.

He wants to come out and give him a hand.

That's great.

That's great.

Well, don't worry about it. I'll keep an eye on things till you get back.

Why? Should I worry about it?

What do you mean?

Well, you said don't worry about it. Should I worry about it? No, there's

nothing to worry about.

Now I'm starting to get worried.

It's a figure of speech. Don't worry about it.

Like, forget about it.

Forget about what?

You messing with me?

Uh -huh. But don't worry about it.

I thought you were heading to Camp Justice.

I am, as soon as I finish this game, which might be sometime this week. I

think so.

Check.

Well, I'm out of here.

I'll see you when I get back. Okay.

Oh.

Checkmate, CD.

The hell does he do it every time?

I don't know, sweetheart, but you ask that every time.

Angel?

Angel? Angel Blake?

Oh, God, it's you.

You look great.

What's it been?

Fifteen years.

You haven't changed a bit.

I don't believe this. What are you doing here?

I need your help.

I need to find my father.

In the eyes of a ranger, the unsuspecting stranger had better know

wrong from right.

Cause the eyes of the ranger are upon you.

He, homie, do he's gonna see.

When you're in Texas, look behind you.

Cause that's where the ranger's gonna be.

Okay, let's talk about your dad. All right.

Well, um, I went home after graduation.

After we broke up.

And he was gone. I mean, my mom came home from work and, uh, he didn't even

leave a note.

So he never wrote you? He never called you?

Nope. Fifteen years.

Not knowing if he's still alive.

How do you know he is?

Someone saw him.

An old friend of the family ran into him right here in Dallas.

You want some of that? Sure.

I even changed his name from Frank Blake to Frank Gaston.

Do you have any idea why he changed his name?

The only thing I can figure is gambling debt. He's always had a problem with

that.

Even when I was little, I remember my mom and dad fighting about the rent

Why do you want to find him?

My mom died last year.

I'm sorry. It's all right.

It's the only family I've got left.

I'm Shackler.

My name is Luther Dobbs.

I'm the commanding officer at Camp Justice.

Rules.

Simple. Do what you're told when you're told.

Follow orders and there won't be any problem.

Okay, I'll do what I can.

You got a picture of him?

Yeah.

He's older now.

Gambler?

Poker. Always had a big game every weekend.

Poker, that's a start. You mind if I keep this?

Sure.

Jimmy, take me with you.

Angel, that's not a good idea.

Please, Jimmy.

I'm here all alone, and I know I'm going to go stir crazy in that hotel room

waiting for you to call me.

All right.

All right, I'll pick you up first thing tomorrow.

Where are you staying?

Mayfair Hotel, room 306.

I met her during football season one night.

I was in the school library studying.

In the library?

Mm -hmm.

We lost this big game over the weekend, so Coach had us doing two -a -day

practices every day.

You must have been exhausted.

I was.

So I'm asleep in the middle of my calculus homework, and I feel someone

me. Angel. Right.

So I look up, and she's got this cup of coffee she's handing me.

Check.

Me.

You want some more of me, man?

Come on.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

I want to finish this story.

Damn it.

What? So, what happened?

All right.

We dated.

And then after graduation, she comes to me and she says she wants a commitment.

The C word.

Yeah.

And you know how I am about relationships now, so I said, I can't do

And I came out here and played football for the Cowboys.

And she disappeared off me.

Bam, she was gone.

You know how you're always, always telling me that there's one special

for everyone?

And you think she's it.

I just never forgot her.

Well, Jimmy, I can see how much this woman means to you.

But as your friend, just be careful.

I mean, 15 years is a long time.

The girl that she was then and the woman she is now might be two very different

people.

I'm just going to do her a favor.

Okay, that's enough of that girl talk. Come on over here. I want a game. No,

demanding a game.

You want some more of me?

Oh, yes, sir.

I'm going to beat you just like a dirty rug.

All right, let's go, big dog.

So how you doing?

Okay, so how you doing?

All right.

Is this your car?

No, it's not my car.

Got in a little accident. This is what they gave me at the motor... Bummer.

Did you just say bummer?

Um, just drive.

All right, if your dad liked poker, we better hit Colby's Tavern.

Eat some hell.

What do you have, Ranger?

I'm looking for this man. His name is Frank Gaston.

He's a poker player.

Gamblin's against the law.

That's Colby, right?

Yes, sir.

How long you had that poker game going on back then?

Sixteen years.

I don't see it. I don't bust it.

All I want to know is if he's a player.

I ain't saying we don't have a game here.

I ain't saying we do.

What I am saying... I never seen this man. I never heard of him.

That's the truth.

Hey, baby.

Buy you a drink?

No, thank you.

Come on, sugar, let me buy you a drink.

Please, just leave me alone, all right?

What, too good for us?

Please, I'm asking you very nicely. Just leave me alone, all right? Come on,

sugar. Give me a kiss, huh? Stop it. No, stop it. Come on, give me a kiss, baby,

huh? Please, stop.

Stop it. Lacey, leave her alone.

Yeah, all right.

We'll leave her alone.

But not you.

Need a tip?

Yeah. Let's go.

That was a waste of time.

Well, we got a lot of other places to check out. Don't get discouraged.

Don't worry, I don't get discouraged easily.

I'll tell you one thing, though. You're not a handful yourself.

You think so?

Yeah, I do. Really? Yeah. Well, I had a good picture. Yeah? Who?

Come on.

Hey, you okay?

Sure.

Stand up.

Ooh, man.

All right.

Want to get another ice cream?

Know what you had?

Taste it.

All right?

Thank you, sir.

You're welcome, sir.

You gonna be all right?

You haven't changed a bit.

How's that?

You're still the best person I've ever known.

You know, I could have hired a private detective.

I still can. I have the money.

Why didn't you?

I wanted to see you again.

Do you think people can ever go back?

Go back?

You know, simpler times, innocence.

Us.

I don't believe in going back.

I believe in going forward.

I'll call you when I get something.

Hey, how's it going with your friend?

Going good.

Going good?

Yeah, not before yet.

Have you heard from Walker? No.

I wonder what he's up to.

Luther probably just wants him there for moral support, and Walker's probably

giving a pep talk right now.

Come on.

Get the feet off the ground.

That'll do it.

32, 33, 34.

Ready, five!

I knew you'd do it. I knew it.

Angel, I found a Frank Gaston. Now, it may not be your father.

I know.

But at least there's a chance that it is. And if it's not, we'll just keep

looking, right?

You bet.

Andrew, you'll be fine.

Just be yourself.

If he's your dad, he'll love you.

I'm so glad you're here.

That's not a good idea. I need to find out that this is my father, please.

Did you

get

it?

Yeah.

Don't bargain on me like this.

Turn around.

I said turn around.

I hope I don't live to regret this.

I'm in detail to the anti -crime unit.

Anti -crime? Yeah. We're investigating the Andros gang.

The Jamaicans?

What does the Andros gang have to do with Frank Gaston?

Gaston.

The victim?

The victim's name isn't Gaston, it's Granville.

Frank Granville.

Granville?

Didn't Granville testify against the Andros gang a few years back?

Yeah.

It was his testimony that put Reg Andros away for life.

Granville was in business with the Andros gang.

So he got immunity, changed his name, and went underground.

Bill's dead miss, man.

We won't be hearing no more squealing from that pig. Your brothers have been

meet Andrew.

Aye. It won't set him free.

But Reg will be smiling today.

Aye, Reg.

Angel of Death shows no mercy.

Is that her money?

She's not getting any money.

When you meet her in the morning, you kill her quick.

We'll be clear of this Granville business once and for all.

You see, Andros, they want us to kill her now.

You got a problem with that?

No, man, no.

Look, me just seen.

Me gonna kill the angel of death. Me wish me had more men, you know.

She sees more men. She knows there's a setup, you know. Just do it.

Like I said.

Yeah, so it's a good bet Andrew's hired Angel to square the books after his

brother got life in prison.

And Angel found the perfect patsy.

Well, you have great instincts, Trevette.

She must have put in one heck of an acting job.

Yeah.

So what's your next move?

Well, I ran her real father through the computer. His name is Wayne Blake.

He died in a car accident about five years ago, and that's about the time

Angel disappeared on me.

Did you check the Mayfair Hotel?

Yeah, first thing.

It's long gone.

Registered under an alias and paid cash.

Left her room cleaner than snow.

That means she's a professional.

Yeah, so how does a liberal arts major become a professional killer?

That's a good question.

You can ask her when you catch her.

She could have killed me, Walker.

Yeah.

Being a pro, that was a big mistake.

Wonder why she didn't.

That's a good question. I'll ask her when I catch her.

Watch yourself, partner.

You got it.

You been ready, Luke?

Look at that clip if you have to.

No problem, man.

Thank you.

Any reason for me to look in that suitcase?

Message to Andra.

My price just doubled.

Now he's got to pay me for Granville and for trying to kill me.

Make sure he gets the message.

All right, we're going to need this boy's statement.

You take care of it.

Thanks for calling.

Thought you'd be interested.

What do you got?

Twelve -year -old boy saw the whole thing.

One dead, one wounded.

The ID of the body?

Luke Henson, an enforcer for the Andros gang.

What else?

Boy said a black lady did it.

Angel.

You think it was a double cross?

Looks that way.

That's my car.

Forensics has been all over it.

She wouldn't have left any prints.

She didn't.

Just keys and a note.

Any idea what it means?

Yeah.

Look, Ranger Trevette, I don't mean any disrespect, but the Andros gang is the

subject of an ongoing investigation. We've got bodies stacking up. What are

driving at, Detective?

It's just that this friend of yours... She's not my friend.

She was my friend.

She's a killer.

And I will bring her down.

Gotcha.

What's happened, Monk?

It was the AJF.

She got the drop on us.

She killed Luke.

Shot my ear off.

She's alive.

Angel's alive.

Two men could not handle one woman.

She's not a woman.

She's the devil himself.

You see, Dredd, the angel of death, she's not perfect.

She left a witness at the Granville Heat, a Texas ranger

named James Trevay.

Eh?

No.

We're going to kill them both.

I need to find my father.

You're not gonna handle yourself.

You're still the best person I've ever known.

Put your hands in the air, Angel.

Hello, Jimmy.

I always wondered what this moment would feel like.

Getting caught?

Meeting my Matt.

Drop it.

You first.

Not a chance.

I'm looking for a good reason to get out of this life.

You found it.

You're under arrest.

You could be so stupid.

Got two million dollars put away.

Penthouse and the Caymans.

You're the only man that is strong enough and smart enough to handle me.

Let me make you happy.

Happy like you have never been before. You know I can.

That was a long time ago.

Hey, boss.

She's here.

She's downstairs.

What did you mean?

Trebek, give me an open line, please.

According to Andros, Angel fired the first shot.

She did.

She did it to save my life.

You have the airports covered?

trains and the bus stations walker i've done everything i can think of to find

her including having the anti -crime unit cover andrews club and apartment

i think it's time you step back step back yeah do something to clear your

it'll help all right i can do that okay well keep me posted you got it

You gonna kill me?

Not if I don't have to.

What happened to you?

Why'd you become a killer?

What turned you into a Texas Ranger?

No more games, Angel.

What do you want from me?

Payback on what you're making.

I have a tape here.

Get out!

I gotta take you in.

I don't think...

Jimmy,

I... Let's just say that we're even.

Got this from Angel.

Just made a videotape for insurance.

The man's name is Frank Grandier. But he changed it to Gaston.

One of my boys spotted him in town, but lost the trail.

The double -crossing squealing pig got my brother buried in Huntsville for

We want you to go and find him and kill him.

Kill him for my brother.

Kill him for me.

Kill him.

Dead. So no one will ever testify against the Andrews gang again.

I don't work cheap.

I know.

That's why you're here.

You're the best.

What's your price?

Is that enough to drop a warrant?

More than enough.

All right, I'll call the anti -crime unit and put together a task force.

Jimmy, I'm really sorry about the way this turned out.

Yeah, me too.

Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine.

Thanks for asking.

One, two, three, four.

Four men.

Against two guys.

Ah.

Ah.

What have I got working for me?

That ranger. So it's coming, you know. I don't want to hear it, man.

You're hitting the streets and you're taking that witch and the ranger down.

I'll take that.

Good plan.

Put it down.

Right there.

David's fighting Andros.

So you can sneak up here and get your money.

And run.

That's a good plan.

It would have worked.

Do you think people can ever go back?

Go back?

You know, simpler times, innocence.

What?

My God, it's you.

It's you.

I'll be out of those rangers or up on you.

Ain't leave all you do, he's gonna see.

When you're in Texas, but behind you.

Cause that's where the rangers gonna be.
