Well, they sure went out of their way to
make a mess of things.

They tore through the old file room
looking for the stuff.

We've never even kept drugs back there.

with the sheriff and his men checking, I

didn't want to destroy any evidence.

If it was a drug addict who broke in, he
certainly left a lot of morphing -based

drugs behind.

So the swimmers could swing out and drop
themselves into the lake. That's

And it wasn't an island.

It was a piece of land that jutted out
into the lake over there.

Where? I don't see it. Well, it's not
there now.

They removed it.

To widen the lake, but that was 18 years
ago.

Why wasn't it handled by Dr. Welker?

that autopsy out to the corner at San

then the missing report from Dr.

office couldn't have been about the
Mangus murder.

Anyhow, there's nothing unusual about a
doctor or his nurse taking a patient's

file out of the record for some reason
and then forgetting to put it back in

right place.

Who was his nurse in those days?

Barnaby. He really put a man's memory to
the test.

It isn't completely dried through, so it
had to be within the last three to six

weeks.
