My name is Cameron Turner.

16 years ago, my dad was an astronaut on a mission to intercept an asteroid

headed for Earth.

Recently, he disappeared without a trace.

And now weird stuff has begun to happen.

My only clue is a graphic novel he was working on called Mission Dawn.

It's up to me and my friends to use Mission Dawn to uncover the truth and

my dad.

Captain Brady Turner was put in command of a top -secret mission to intercept

the asteroid on a collision course with Earth.

Materials in meteorites can be used for energy and one day, possibly, time

travel. I give you the Phoenix.

If the aliens get the Olivine, they'll destroy Earth.

Where are we? I don't know.

Dad? You're safe here. No one knows about this base. As always, I have a

You're safe here. No one knows about this base.

It's a classified location.

Just stay here.

I'll be right back.

All right, I'm out of here.

Dude, he just said to stay. Where are you going?

I'm going to go try to find some answers.

Look, Cam, we shouldn't mess with a good thing, you know? We got a good room

back there. We could just skip school. And what more could you... Whoa.

What?

What is that?

Hey, isn't that the phoenix thingamajig?

The one that Hugh said would be like a...

A power greater than anything known to man?

It's a time machine.

Did you just say that the Phoenix is a time machine?

My dad must have known that he was working on time travel. He drew

just like this in the graphic novel.

Uh, what are you doing?

Figuring out how to go back in time to the morning of the Tunguska mission

launch. And what makes you think you can just get this machine working?

Come on.

Don't you think it's time we figured out what really happened on that mission?

And to my father?

Cameron, this is nuts. We can't just suddenly flick this thing on without

knowing what we're doing.

Yeah, but think if it worked.

I mean, we could see what really happened at the Tunguska launch.

Everything that's happened to us since then. My dad's disappearance.

Condon Aerospace blowing up the aliens.

It all stems from that moment.

Yeah, you're right.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you nuts? If we go back in time through this portal, we

could horribly, horribly alter history itself, okay? I mean, do you even know

what the butterfly effect is? You change one tiny thing. You create mass chaos.

I mean, we can demolish the FaceTime continuum.

We can... Or we can just go back in time, because what could possibly

go wrong?

Oh, I think I'm going to hurl. I think I'm going to hurl. I don't do too well

rides, okay? You know, I... This looks like the same building we were in, but

newer.

It must have worked.

We travel back in time.

Oh, no.

First of all, I would like to thank each and every one of you for being a part

of this mission.

This is so unreal.

This must be the day after Mission Dunk has got to launch.

Opportunity for the greatest achievement of mankind.

Dude, what are you doing?

That's my dad's crew.

It's Pleskin and Dawkins.

It's Higgins before he went crazy.

You've got to lay low, dude.

If anyone sees you, it could change time. Do you understand that? What if

mom sees us and she decides to fall in love with me?

The world will owe a debt.

Not only to you, but for your family.

With a great sacrifice from me.

Oh,

excuse me.

Brady.

Ruby, you shouldn't be at work. You're expecting any day now.

I know. I was at mission control, but I wanted to be by your side before the

launch.

Glad you're here with me. Come on. Let's get you a seat in here.

What are you doing?

I need to talk to my dad. But I'll never get this chance again. That is not a

good idea, Cameron.

Dad, what are you doing here? I should ask you the same thing. Do you have any

idea how foolish you are to activate the Phoenix device?

Yeah, but... You cannot talk here.

Follow me.

This is crazy.

It's the day of the Tunguska launch.

The fate of the entire world hinges on this. You are jeopardizing everything by

being here. If time travel is so dangerous, then what makes it okay for

do it? I only planned on using the Phoenix device as a last resort in case

aliens acquired the compound.

Well, great. Now that we're here, maybe we could home a dead.

Your only objective is to get back to the present.

I've already activated the Phoenix device. It's charging.

Wear these.

They'll glow when the portal is fully charged.

At that point, we have ten minutes before it closes. If it closes, the

will never be able to reopen the portal, and you'll be trapped in the past.

Wait, what does this mean?

They must have activated the portal from the other side.

Whoa. They?

I thought we were the only ones in the military base. When the Phoenix device

was activated, the aliens must have detected the energy signature.

They must have found the Phoenix device, too.

You stay here.

I'll take care of it. Under no circumstances do you leave this room.

Think of all the fantastic things we could do in the past.

I could invent rock and roll.

It's the 90s, man. They've had rock and roll for like 50 years.

What about rap?

all right there's no way your dad can expect us to just sit here when there's

aliens hanging around and this guy aliens always be up in our grill making

run through the hills making us so ill what look i want to talk to my dad and i

want to find out what happened on that mission what the mission yeah the

what the mission boys i'm serious about this look i'm not just gonna sit here

Okay, I feel ridiculous.

They missed the spot.

He's briefing the crew.

To the public, missing Tunguska is about stopping an asteroid on a collision

course with Earth.

We know the real truth.

Certain asteroids contain the ingredients to create galaxies and

The asteroid approaching Earth contains olivine, a compound the aliens need to

rebuild their universe.

If the aliens beat us to the asteroid, They will immediately destroy our

universe so they can rebuild theirs.

We have to go to extreme measures to make sure our mission's true objective

kept secret.

What sort of extreme measures?

If Tunguska succeeds and the mission continues, you have two options. You can

continue fighting the aliens or return to civilian life with no memory of the

mission. Wait, what do you mean by no memory?

To become a civilian again for your safety.

Your mind must be wiped of all information about aliens, Black Dawn,

the compound, everything.

If you choose to continue fighting, you'll keep that knowledge.

But you'll give up your identity forever.

You will no longer have a name. You will no longer have a home.

You will no longer have a family.

I'll fight the aliens if it keeps her safe.

Someone's going to wipe out my memory.

I'll say it, bud.

Well, if all the cool kids are doing it, why not?

Captain Turner.

I will also continue the mission.

He will always look out for us.

Don't you trust him?

But what about our child?

He'll grow up without knowing his father.

You will never be there on his first day of school.

Read him bedtime stories. Be there for birthdays.

I know it won't be easy, but we have to make sacrifices.

Don't you care about your family?

I mean, that's what I'm fighting for.

Our family and every family on earth.

I'll try to understand, Brady.

We should prepare for the launch.

Awkward.

I have to go talk to my dad.

Yeah, and then I go try to find mine. I feel like there's things he's not

telling us.

We'll stay here. I'll be back soon.

What is this?

Meet your dad in the past, Dean. I didn't get the text.

Wait.

Text? Has texting even been invented yet?

OMG,

smiley face.

I should have been texting. That would mean so.

Oh, Phoebe.

I mean, Mrs. Turner.

Are you okay?

Do I know you?

Well, yeah.

We may have met once or twice. My name is B -B -B -B -B

-B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B -B

Over here. I think I heard someone.

Dad! Excuse me?

Who are you? You're not authorized to be in this part of the date.

Yeah, right.

Right. I see you've ignored my order.

Why should I stay locked away?

I want to know what happened on the mission. Don't you understand?

Actually, for once, I agree with you. I need your help, Lucy.

It's time you learned everything.

Hugh, I've been expecting you. I take it you finished the Phoenix device.

And this must be Lucy.

She turned out even better than I expected.

Good work.

Well, you've had a little bit to do with it, too.

Great.

Now I have two dads to deal with.

So, what happened to make you travel back to the past now? Well, I hadn't

planned on using the device yet, but they activated without my knowing.

When I came through to rescue them, someone else traveled through.

Someone else traveled through to the past?

The aliens.

I thought we were safe at the base, but they must have detected the Phoenix's

energy signature. You should prepare your strike team right away.

Listen up. During mission Tunguska, Brady Turner's crew beat our people to

Olivine compound, but by traveling back in time, we have a second chance.

We can't stop the crew before they even launch into space.

But how do we get it? We don't have a ship or anything.

The human weakness is always their emotions.

Captain Turner is a family man. He will do anything to make sure his wife and

child are safe.

If we have his wife, Ruby, and his unborn son,

Bradley will have no choice but to do what we said.

Understand?

Of course.

We'll force Brady to bring the Olivin to us.

I'm Kabloom.

Earth. Hurry. We have to find her. There is not much time.

So do you know what you're going to name your child yet?

We have a few ideas.

Well, if it's a boy, you should name him Cameron.

Cameron? Like my favorite film director of all time, James Cameron.

But anyway, I am a father of three children. And if there's anything I

when your child's a teenager, you should totally punish him by having him off

the floor.

Really? mop the floors?

Yeah. My father did that to me, and look at me. I turn out pretty fun.

Mrs.

Turner, you're in danger.

What are you doing here? I'm sorry. Do I know you?

Don't worry, Mrs. Turner. He's a friend of mine.

Oh. Well, any friend of Justin Bieber is a friend of mine.

Justin Bieber?

Really?

Spontaneous need.

It's fine.

Whoa.

Looks like a big old family reunion.

We have a special mission for you, Miss Turner.

Who are you? What do you want?

You've come to stop the mission.

Put her down.

So it's a fight you want.

Are you okay?

I'm cool.

Bring it!

Please.

Look out!

Ruby!

Thanks for watching my back, kid.

No problem.

Whoa. Fan out.

Fire at will.

The stars are here. You haven't seen the last of us.

Free the alien fly.

Get them.

Don't let them get away.

What is going on? It's just a minor setback. Proceed as planned. You two

prepare for the launch.

But you, there's... Prepare for the launch.

Are you okay?

I'm fine.

I am so sorry you had to go through that. I should have known this would put

in danger. Hugh doesn't care about our safety, only the mission. We knew what

were getting involved with. Something like this was bound to happen.

It won't happen again.

After Mission Tunguska, I am done working for Hugh Condon. Your safety,

child's safety, is too important.

Wow. I was not expecting that.

Things are getting a little too dangerous for me here in the past, so

going.

He hit his head pretty hard over there. He's... Justin, you're confused. We're

in the present. It's the present, remember?

Those were some amazing fighting skills you showed out there.

Where'd you learn them?

My dad taught me how to fight.

Your father taught you how to fight?

Yeah, I guess.

You know, he taught me a lot. I actually had a skateboard about astronomy and

science and how to make comic books.

Well, I'm sure he feels very lucky to have a son like you.

Yeah, I wouldn't know.

We haven't really talked in a while.

Well, you should give him a call.

This is such a cute moment. Hey, can we pose for a picture? Come on, get in.

Hold on. Come on, come on, come on, come on.

Oh, okay.

Okay.

Say tangoska.

Tangoska.

That's a keeper.

Attention. Will all Tungutka crew members please report to the launch pad?

We should get going. It was nice to meet you, Justin Bieber.

I'm sorry, what's your name?

Usher.

Usher. Thank you both again for your help.

I hope to see you again in the future.

Uh -oh, dude.

Find Lucy. Come on.

It's time for you to return to the present.

Wait, what about you? I need to stay here in the past. I'm sorry, Lucy.

You know, just remember having a good cons and family moment, too.

You know, this is so typical.

You were being too nice.

I knew there had to be a catch.

I need to make sure the launch takes place without any further setbacks.

Do you see this?

This mind -wipe device will clear Brady's memory after the mission, so he

raise his family in peace.

I don't understand.

Why does Brady Turner get to live a normal life, but you don't?

Some of us have greater responsibilities than others, Lucy.

A rough road leads to the stars.

Mr. Carter, are you okay? Good, good. Go on. Go on. Go. Go.

Okay, Lucy, hurry. You need to get to that portal.

But I want you to come with us. You'll be fine on your own.

You can do this, Lucy.

Besides, you know me. I will find a way back. But... Lucy, you're Condon.

Right. I'm Condon.

Ready for launch, Captain Turner?

Listen, Hugh.

I'm done with these missions.

After what happened today, I just realized what's really important about

father. I want my child to be able to spend time with me, to know me.

Do you understand?

Yes, I understand.

We'll discuss this later.

Right now, the most important thing is the mission.

Ruby.

I'll meet you at the launch pad.

Pin this on Brady's suit before he enters the ship. It'll look good for the

camera. Since when do you care about making a good impression for the press?

This device will wipe Brady's memory after the mission's completed.

He'll be able to go home and raise her family in peace.

Thank you, Hugh.

Ten. Nine.

Eight. Seven.

Six. Five.

Four. Three.

Two. One.

We have done it.

Come on, the portal's closing.

The mission continues.

Is everybody okay?

Yeah.

He needs to fight someone so good, though.

Hey, Lucy, where's your dad?

He stayed in the path.

Something he had to take care of.

How are you, though? That was some pretty heavy stuff.

It's weird. I can't believe I had to go to the past to have a really good

conversation with my father.

I'm kind of just missing more now.

Yeah, well, at least we trapped the aliens in the past, right?

Now we can get on with our normal lives.

What? The mission? Yeah, the mission. What? We'll see about that, Boris.
