Well, we were coming down a small hill,
headed towards the cliff, and going a

little too fast.

I put my foot on the brake and it went
right to the floor.

Why didn't you use the emergency brake?

I don't know.

I saw that we were headed toward the
edge of the cliff, and I panicked.

Do you know of anyone who may have
wanted to kill your husband or you?

You see, these nicks, they were made by
a hard instrument, probably a wrench

striking at the coupling, I would say
with the intent of loosening it so it

would unscrew easily.

It would seem to me that after going off
that cliff, that dune buggy would be

filled with nicks.

the shelter of the front wheel.
