Well, I think it tells us a little more
than that. Unless we can find one

cassette that was ejected before it was
rewound, we know there's one missing.

Well, there shouldn't be.

Nothing's been touched since Jeffrey's

The counter on the recorder here reads
462, but there's no cassette.

And if Mr. Terrence had rewound that
tape the way he did all of the others,

the counter would read zero.

Right. The last tape he was working on
was removed in the middle of its play.

What puzzles me is why anyone would want
that interview taped badly enough to

kill Jeffrey.

You know, if I'd had any idea that
Riley's letter to Jeffrey would have led
