So we went back up the road to try to
hitch a ride.

Then you did go by the bloom house where
the murder occurred.

The only place that we stopped was this
place where there were lots of people in

cars. They wouldn't even let us in to
use the telephone.

It was a big party.

Ballet parking, you know, the whole bit.

And then we went on down the canyon.

His leg was hurt really bad and we had
to get to a hospital.

And this guy stopped and gave us a ride.

Look. This Joker isn't going to do any
good for us. Let's get out of here, huh?

Eric, but I found out it's pretty tough
trying to get your ideas across when

you're running away from somebody
yelling over your shoulder.

The only chance we've got is to run.

called Spencer minutes before he was
killed. He had something of vital

importance to discuss with him, about
which Spencer knows nothing more, and I

doubt if any of us ever will.
