Thomas Finley, a driver employed by the

Mid -Eastern Trucking Lines, was found
in critical condition a short distance

off a New Jersey highway.

His truck, loaded with $125 ,000 worth
of whiskey, had been hijacked.

Early the following morning, the empty
truck was found abandoned in

Pennsylvania, since merchandise
traveling in interstate commerce was

The FBI entered the case under
provisions of the theft from interstate

statute.

Are you the man who saw the truck drive

Inspector, I interviewed that truck
driver this morning. The doctor said

He said a hitchhiker pulled a gun on him
in front of this diner and forced him

to drive to a spot where some other men
were waiting.

He said he was wearing nondescript
clothes, long hair, dark glasses.

He guessed the man to be around 30.

The busboy saw him, too.

you saw the hitchhiker, Mr. Sanderson.

I was surprised when this truck driver
gave him a lift.

Anthony Hendricks pled guilty to bank
robbery.

on hijacking conspiracy charges and

were sentenced to terms in federal
penitentiaries.
