Tonight's episode, The Deadly Species.

On the afternoon of September 5th, a New
Orleans restaurant was held up and

robbed. The fact that the robbery was
perpetrated by a woman suggested several

suspects to local police, including Jean
Margaret Scott, an escapee from a

woman's prison in Texas.

Since Jean Scott was already the subject
of an FBI identification order, her

picture was on file with the New Orleans
Police Department.

The restaurant manager and other
witnesses identified Jean Scott.

as the hold -up woman.

What's she done now?

She's been identified in the hold -up of
a restaurant here a few hours ago.

I suppose there'll be publicity about my
being her sister.

I'll have to think of my family first.

What do you want to know?

We appreciate your cooperation, Mrs.
Marshall.

When did you last hear from her?

Last night. It was nearly 12. Woke us
out of a sound sleep.

Why did she call?

To see if I knew where her ex -husband
and son were.

There was a man with her in the robbery.

Gene Scott has been identified in a
holdup of a gun shop in Des Moines,

He moved out of his room.

I haven't seen him since he took off
with that female Jesse James.

until such time as she was able to

complete her original sentence.

Robbery detainers were placed against
her in Louisiana, Iowa, Nebraska.

Charles Bryant Claiborne and William
Leonard were tried in state courts and

found guilty of armed robbery.
