to a plastics fortune, had been

kidnapped.

24 hours after young Jansen's abandoned
car was found near the entrance to his

parents' Long Island estate, the FBI
entered the case to determine whether an

actual kidnapping had taken place.

He got a hold of me at Kennedy between
planes, so I came on over.

What did he come up with?

Well, someone was badly hurt here. Shot.

Jansen's parents are in Europe. The only
member of the family home last night

was an older sister.

She knew her brother was Jew at one o
'clock, and she thought she heard a car

backfire around that time.
