miles east of Domingo, Texas.

Another case had already brought a
ranking FBI official to the area.

Accompanied by Louis Erskine, Assistant
Director Arthur Ward had flown to Laredo

to wind up an internal security matter.

As senior agent on the scene, Ward,
therefore, automatically became
