On April 4th, investigation by agents of
the FBI in Los Angeles led to the

capture of a communist courier named
Derek Lamb.

Though Lamb seemed unable to identify
his superiors in the United States, he

willing to reveal their target.

He had been sent to pick up microfilm
plans taken from the Pacific Missile

Development Corporation of Long Beach.

They would be addressed to E .K.
Jackson, care of General Delivery, San

California.

While the FBI waited for a second
courier to claim the package, the body

Kenneth Sager, a draftsman who had had
access to some of the plans at Pacific

Missile, was found on a deserted beach
near Palos Verdes.
