On September 18th, one of the FBI's ten
most wanted criminals, William Judson,

was apprehended by agents in Los
Angeles.

Judson and his close friend and partner,
Richard Macklin, were both longtime

members of the Miami Crime Syndicate,
and recently Judson had indicated a

desire to break with La Cosa Nostra.

He had hinted at a willingness to give
evidence of the syndicate's ties to

legitimate business.

It was vital for the FBI to take both
men alive, but now Judson was dying.

Judson from FBI custody.

prison for the death of William Judson
and the armed assault of two Los Angeles

police officers.

He still faces charges in Florida.

Through his cooperation, four leading
members of the Southern Florida

have been arrested on anti -racketeering
charges and are now awaiting trial.
