three of the five men who escaped from

Las Casas New Mexico County Jail last
night have now been captured or killed.

Myron Pierce, 30, was captured today in
a roadblock near Winslow, Arizona.

His companion, Roy Joe Spencer, was shot
to death while trying to escape.

Still at large are Lambert Hayes, 21
-year -old Carthage, and Earl Clayton,

sentenced to die for the killing of a U
.S. West Marshall.

Clayton, considered the most dangerous
of the five, is 5 '9", 160 pounds. He

black hair, brown eyes, a knife scar
over his left temple, and is described

genial and extroverted.
