[Tom] The Land Sharks pushed hard,
but it wasn't enough.

I'm afraid this is goodbye.

Now, the teams travel
to one of the world's sharkiest spots,

Bimini,

where the sharks are bigger, bolder,
and a whole lot closer.

Because in this competition,
spotting a few sharks won't cut it.

-[Tom] You have to find All the Sharks.

[Tom] Teams,
welcome to the island of Bimini.

While the waters
may appear clear and blue,

you're gonna have to deal
with ripping currents, strong tides,

and… it's hurricane season.

-Hey!
-Whoo!

[Sarah] I've been here before.

It's kind of a sentimental place for me,
but also it has a lot of sharks,

so we're quite excited about this round.

-But there's plenty to go at.
-[tense music playing]

Sixty species of sharks and ray
can be found in these waters,

including some worldwide classics
like the great hammerhead…

-[camera clicks]
-[Tom] …the tiger shark…

-[camera clicks]
-[points ding]

[Tom] …and the infamous bull shark.

-[camera clicks]
-[points ding]

[Aliah] I have pretty high expectations
for this location.

Definitely trying to see
all of the sharks.

As always, the rarer the shark,
the more points it's worth.

And with so many species in these waters,
I'm throwing in a Game Changer.

The team that captures
the most different species on camera

wins the species-diversity bonus,

worth a whopping 50 points.

-[Aliah] Let's go!

That species-diversity bonus is huge,
not just for the points

but also to see
as many species as possible.

That's what this is all about.

[Tom] But I've got some more news for you.

Your accumulated scores
have been wiped back down to zero.

-[Aliah laughs]
-Oh, what's that smug look, Dan?

I think the Docs are probably gonna be
more affected by going back to zero

'cause they've had such a lead
for so long,

whereas, for us, we've kind of been
feeling like we're last for a while.

[Dan and Sarah laugh]

You are all on an even keel.

So, it's not about what you did before.

It matters a lot what you're gonna do now.

Because the team
with the least points here in Bimini

will be eliminated.

[Aliah] We're all
on the same playing field now.

This is our time to take the lead
from the Shark Docs.

So the big question is

which teams
are going through to the final,

and which team is going home?

[Tom] The playing field, Bimini,

located in the Bahamas.

It's a true shark hot spot.

Warm, shallow waters
meet deep ocean trenches,

creating the perfect mix
of mangroves, reefs, and open sea.

A prime hunting and breeding ground
for sharks,

like the great hammerhead.

Spot one of these giants,
and it's worth 45 points.

But nurse sharks? Too common.

Just two points apiece.

And with the species diversity bonus
in play,

the more sharks a team finds,

the bigger their lead can grow.

[Chris] We had a bit of a buffer,
some security of points.

That's gone now.

We're all at sort of
the same playing field now.

Points are zeroed out.

And so Brendan and I are both
extremely focused right now.

Not that we weren't trying before,
but now our anxiety and our… our, um,

our desire to compete
is heightened right now

because we know the pressure's back on

more than it has been
for the last week or two.

[Tom] To stay safe from elimination,

the Shark Docs have locked onto a spot
known for its Caribbean reef sharks.

-[Brendan] Chris, are you on bait?
-[Chris] I am.

[Brendan] You can just dump it right here.

[Tom] But they aren't
leaving this to luck.

They're chumming the waters
to draw in as many sharks as possible.

[Chris] First order of business,
get out of this feeding frenzy.

[Brendan] These sharks are so curious.

They're everywhere.

Let's get this done quickly.

[Chris] The hard part will be making sure
we get each one of them on camera.

[Brendan] Great problem to have, I guess.

[Chris] There are at least 15 down here.

I'll count. You shoot.

Let's just post up on this ledge
and let the sharks come to us.

[Tom] Reaching up to nine feet in length,

the Caribbean reef shark
is top dog on the reef.

It's tuned to low-frequency sounds,

the same ones given off
by struggling fish,

making it a master
at detecting an easy meal.

-[camera clicks]

Man, just sitting down there
and having reef sharks just circling you,

just checking you out.

I feel like you could actually, like,
look into their souls when they're--

-When they're passing and looking at you.

-I feel we had very different experiences.

[Aliah] I'm feeling, like,
optimistic still.

-Call it blind optimism.
-[MJ] Hopefully, we get the hammer.

-Or the tiger.
-I really think we are.

[Tom] Gills Gone Wild are taking a shot

at one of Bimini's
most famous shark sites.

Right now, both of us
are, like, laser focused.

This is elimination stage,
so every second counts.

Every second that we're on the water
is really important.

Let's get chumming.

Yeah, let's take down a few bonito as well
and just shuck, shuck, shuck.

I think we're gonna have to be patient
at this spot.

I think that's really it.
Let's just give it a full… full go.

You know what they say,
eyes are the windows to the skull.

I'll put a few more of these in,
then the box.

I just want it to be, like, maximum chum.

And then we'll take the box down with us
when we are ready.

Bimini is famous
for its great hammerheads,

but it's not hammerhead season right now.

So it could be potentially risky
to go for hammerhead sharks.

I would love to see one though, so I think
with enough chum, anything is possible.

And who knows what will show up?

[Aliah] This current is insane. Let's try
and work our way back to the boat.

Get set up upcurrent.

[MJ] There's no swimming around this.

But hey, at least the chum's gonna go far.

[Aliah] Let's keep our eyes downcurrent.

That's the only direction anything will
pick up the scent trail and swim from.

Here we go.
Already got our first customer.

Nurse shark.

[Tom] Nurse sharks
might look slow and lazy,

but don't be fooled.

Their bite packs a punch,
easily crushing shells and crustaceans.

And when it's feeding time,
they suck up prey with a force

that's ten times stronger
than your household vacuum.

[MJ] All right, that's two points,
but a good sign our bait is working.

[Aliah] I believe word of our fish buffet
has started to spread.

More nurses.

the higher the chances
that we'll get something bigger.

[Dan] Oh, so we could jump in the water
literally over here

and just start working our way along
right in the shallow water over there.

[Tom] Back in the shallows, Sarah is ready
to put her local knowledge to work

as British Bait Off kicks off their hunt.

The thing about Bimini is it's

very, very, very sentimental to me.

It's like any other shark,
they don't have skeletons.

It was where I started
my career in sharks.

I started out at the lab,
which was amazing.

Let's just let you go now.
You can chill out.

And it was also
the year that I got bitten.

[woman] There we go.

So we're here at Triangle Rock.

We're gonna film the shark dive for you.

[Sarah] We used to catch and handle
many different species of sharks,

lemon sharks being one of them.

So jealous that I'm not going in,

but unfortunately, I'm not allowed
in the water today due to an injury.

I got the corner of its mouth on my arm

with a lot of my fat and flesh
attached to them.

That was also the time we found out
there was no doctor on the island,

only a dentist.

Do you think
you've avoided coming back here?

-Yes.
-To kind of…

-Yeah.
-…remember all that stuff?

Yeah. Yeah. I've avoided--

[Dan] Until now.

I never planned to come back, you know?

Yeah. It's weird. It's weird being back.

I think, for so long,

literally, I couldn't get in
the bloody water again, you know?

And now I'm back here.

[Dan] Sarah's still a little bit shaken up
being back here.

There's a lot of memories
that she has connected with this place.

Getting bitten by a shark
was no small thing.

Would it… would it help if I got nervous?
If it would help, I'll… I'll do it.

So, for our first dive today,

we're gonna take it nice and easy
and go for a snorkel.

-Is my camera in the circuit?
-[man] Good luck to you, guys!

-[Dan] You ready?
-[tense music playing]

[Sarah] It's super, super strange
being back here. I actually, um…

I never really thought
I would come back to Bimini.

So it's really weird being here.

So I'm just hoping that underneath
the surface, it's still familiar.

-Um… ready?
-[Dan] Let's go.

[unsettling music playing]

[Sarah] When I used to work here,

we used to come to a spot just over there
where we'd go spearfishing.

And often, we would find

tiny yellow stingrays
in amongst the sand and the rocks.

So I just have a hunch.

It is a bit of a punt,
but maybe there might be some around here.

[Dan] Sarah, I got one.
Found a yellow stingray.

[Tom] This ray may be small,
but it is full of surprises.

It changes color
to seamlessly blend into its surroundings,

nearly invisible until it moves.

With its flat body
and murky color patterns,

it's built for the ambush
and to avoid becoming prey.

-[camera clicks]
-[points ding]

[Sarah] Woo-hoo! Got it.
Let's look for more.

[Chris] We should, uh,

maybe snorkel some of this for yellows.

[Tom] Further out,

the Shark Docs have also set their sights
on yellow stingrays,

a valuable target

if they can track them down.

[Brendan] This spot has everything.

You've got lush seagrass
right up against some nice soft sand.

That makes for beautiful ledges underneath
where yellow stingrays might like to hide.

We're going for the diversity bonus,

but I'd really love to find
a yellow stingray. High-value species.

-That would help us out a lot.
-[dramatic music playing]

Brendan, we did so well here.

Look how many, uh, individuals
and species we got.

-[Brendan] How many?
-[Chris] Zero.

I thought you said
this is a good yellow-stingray habitat.

It's a fantastic yellow-stingray habitat.
There are just no yellow stingrays here.

[groans] I know. I know.

I'm glad we did it.
We'll find one eventually.

[Chris] Say we go in
and try for some bull sharks?

Those are more sure points, right?
Okay, so let's do that.

[Sarah] This is the first time
I've actually been back to Bimini

since getting bitten by a shark here.

[camera clicks]

But luckily,
I am so focused on points right now,

there's just no room for fear.

[Tom] On the other side of the island,

British Bait Off is having
much better luck with yellow stingrays.

[Sarah] This particular beach
is incredibly sentimental to me,

so for it to provide such a lovely bounty
of yellow stingrays… it's insane.

-[camera clicks]
-[points ding]

I'm glad my memory of this spot
came in handy.

It turns out that things don't change
that much, at least.

We are just still in that mindset of,
like, running and trying to keep up.

[Dan] We seem to perform at our best
when we feel like we're quite far behind.

[Sarah] We're just always feeling
like we're on catch-up, even now.

I know everything's at zero,

but it still feels like we're gonna be
on catch-up mode, so hopefully it'll work.

-That was worth it.
-[Sarah] Yeah.

[Dan] I've never loved a tiny, little ray

more in my life than I do right now.

That snorkel could be our ticket
into the final.

[tense music playing]

We don't need to win.

We just need to not lose.

[Chris] Yeah, no, I'm with you on that.

[Tom] After a disappointing snorkel,

the Shark Docs are heading
to a spot known for one thing,

bold, in-your-face bull sharks.

We've got strong currents ripping through.

Visibility can drop down to nothing.

But most importantly,
we've got fishermen cleaning their catch.

The guts, the waste
is all going into the water,

and that's an easy meal for sharks.

These docks are frequented
by the bull shark,

well known as being one of the most
ferocious hunters on the planet.

[Chris] We're trying to rack up
extra points on bull sharks

and to make sure we've got
that species for our diversity count.

This is a bit of a risky site.

Bull sharks are not ones we like
to spend a ton of time in the water with

if we can help it,
especially when they're excited.

[Tom] Bull sharks
are the brawlers of the ocean.

Stocky, tough, and never shy
about throwing their weight around.

Territorial and bold,
they patrol shallow murky waters,

earning a reputation
as the most feared sharks by divers.

Unpredictable, powerful,
and always in charge.

I'll get all this ready
if you just go start looking for sharks

and making noise.

[Chris] Okay.

We're chumming the water,
hoping to draw in some sharks.

And once we attract them,
then we'll get in.

-I'll grab a fin.
-[Chris] Okay.

To attract sharks, I love to slap a fin
on the surface of the water.

You know, they're very tuned in
to low-frequency sounds and vibrations.

And so creating that sound
that mimics struggling fish

will make them more curious
to come in for a closer look,

and then we might be able to snap a shot.

[tense music playing]

[Chris] What is your gut
telling you right now?

-Like, I'm not seeing anything right now.
-Maybe they turn up once we get in.

Maybe they listen
for the sound of the bubbles.

[Chris] There's a lot on the line today.
We're just afraid we're wasting time.

[man] Okay, so we're abandoning
this spot, then?

We're abandoning this spot.

No bulls pulled up. We gotta go.

I mean, this…

[MJ] Well, I think
we're maxed out on nurse sharks.

[Tom] After tossing plenty of dead fish
into the mix,

Gills Gone Wild were hoping
their all-you-can-eat buffet

would attract a great hammerhead.

[Aliah] Wait.

What is that?

Huge dorsal fin comin' in.

[MJ] No way.

Could it be?

[Aliah] Great hammerhead!

[Tom] The great hammerhead
is built for precision hunting.

Its wide hammer-shaped head
is packed with electroreceptors,

letting it detect prey
buried under the sand.

It even hunts other sharks,

powered by those massive fins.

A true apex predator.

[Aliah] I need these nurse sharks
to get out of the way for a clean shot.

Okay, here we go.

Coming in for the shot.

and it's still anyone's game.

The boats are in motion,
the teams are locked in

because, by sundown,
one of them is going home.

Is the main reason
there's so many species here

just the Gulf Stream?

[Sarah] Uh, yeah, a little bit of that,
uh, but also, the mangrove habitat.

'Cause it's a nursery for so many species.

[Tom] British Bait Off is hoping
to build on yesterday's success

by heading into the mangroves.

But this isn't just prime shark territory.

It's also the precise location
where Sarah was bitten.

I always have nerves,

but this day particularly…

I mean, this particular location…
I'll be happy when it's over with.

[Dan] It's quite a wide search area,
isn't it?

[Sarah] I drew this map of the mangroves
from memory.

Might be a bit rusty. [chuckles]

So we're here.
We're gonna be baiting this area here.

[Tom] Mangroves are coastal forests

where trees grow directly in saltwater,

creating a tangled maze of roots
below the surface.

These sheltered waters
act as a nursery for young sharks,

giving them a place to grow and hunt
before heading into the open ocean.

[dramatic music playing]

Well, we have
a small juvenile lemon shark,

exactly the size of the one that bit me.

Right here. One meter.

-Are you getting in, Dan?
-[Dan] Yeah, yeah. Keep a lookout.

[tense music playing]

Lemon shark.

[Tom] Lemon sharks are named
for their yellowish skin,

helping them blend into sandy seafloors.

Growing up to 11 feet long,

they're social sharks,
often found in groups.

They have incredible vision,
adapted to see in murky waters,

making them expert ambush hunters
in the shallows.

Beautiful.

[tense music continues]

-[camera clicks]
-[points ding]

[Dan] I would say jump in for five,
ten minutes and see how you feel.

with lemons,

and they were lemons
that were exactly the same size

as the lemons that I got bitten by.

in the water looking for animals.

I can get in and sit.

-[Chris] I'm gonna start with the bucket.

of blood and guts in there.

-[Brendan] Mm.
-[Chris] Gives a really good scent.

[Tom] After a rough day yesterday,
the Shark Docs have developed a new plan.

Stay agile, move fast, hit multiple spots
with plenty of chumming,

and get snorkeling.

Unfortunately, the tide and wind
are pushing in opposite directions,

and our chum slick is just a bit confused.

When an animal picks up on it, it makes it
harder to figure out where it's from.

So I guess it's a bit of a wild-card spot.

[tense music playing]

[Chris] I can't see anything from
the surface either. The sun angle is bad.

So we're getting some action here now,
so that's a good sign

that our chumming is actually paying off.

but that means sharks are showing up,

so I'm gonna calm down a little bit

and just let this
play its course a little bit.

Aliah is struggling with her gear

So we just pulled up at Honeymoon Harbour

and already got a nurse shark off
the side, so they already came up to us.

So pretty awesome. Nice warm welcoming.

[Tom] As the clock ticks down,

the Shark Docs stick to their strategy,

covering as much ground as possible,

snorkeling nonstop.

They're pushing hard to stay in the game.

[mesmerizing music playing]

[Tom] Their tenacity pays off,

immediately landing them
a shot of a blacknose shark.

-[camera clicks]
-[points ding]

[Tom] The blacknose shark
is fast, skittish,

and always looking over its shoulder

because at just four feet long,

it's prime prey
for bigger predators like hammerheads.

That nervous energy
makes them hard to catch

and worth a solid 26 points.

[Tom] With two blacknose secured,
the Shark Docs strike again,

spotting a massive school
of southern stingrays.

Common in the Bahamas
and easy to photograph,

they're only worth one point each.

-[camera clicks]
-[Brendan] Today's been going much better.

We just need to keep moving,
build some momentum,

and get that species diversity bonus.

[Tom] They're racking up the numbers,

but is it enough to keep them in the game?

every team is at full go,

making their final plays
and fighting for every last point.
