There are lots of people like to talk the gossip.

Always appear

If Lady Nobel's get hurt from it, that would be bad.

Therefore,

I kick away that bad dog,

to help you avoid the bad thing happen.

Check it

See if this dog has something wrong.

My lady,

I didn't find anything wrong, do we need to take it back to the palace to check?

Who dare

If anyone try to something on my dog,

I'll ask his life.

Her Majesty, Lady Nobel

People always say that the dog can protect house and it's owner,

when seeing bad people, it'll keep chasing.

So I'm guessing,

maybe because Sister Yu leaving too rush,

and Snow Ball misunderstanding.

Sister Yu

Are you ok?

Thanks for your blessing, Lady Jia

Lady Yu was only frighten but doesn't have problem.

Your reaction is quick,

faster than the dog.

Thanks for Lady Jia's compliment.

Take Lady Yu back to the Yong-He Palace.

Lady Nobel

Ying Luo was right

What if your dog

hurt Lady Yu

This

must cause a lot of trouble.

On my perspective,

you should strict to your people.

If they still useless,

couldn't even hold a dog

and make the trouble,

I'm not going to tolerate.

Lady Jia, how I treat you?

I am from a lowly family

the fourth son doesn't value by emperor.

If Lady Nobel didn't take care of me,

me and my son won't have space in the palace.

I always like you clever,

If there's anything good, I always take care of you and your son,

never treat you bad in any moment.

Yes

I always remember your kindness.

Who let you betray me?

Who let you use Snow Ball to hurt Lady Yu?

Who give you brave to do this?

Lady Nobel! Lady Nobel!

I did this

I did this is truly because of you.

For me?

No

You doing this for your son.

You worry about Lady Yu may give birth to a boy,

and will ruin your plan.

My lady,

Yes

I'm worry about Lady Yu may give birth to a boy

but I did this, is truly for you.

My lady, you didn't give a body blow, and already against with Yong-He Palace.

If we don't completely finish Lady Yu, the troubles will be endless. You need to trust me!

You don't seriously believe,

you can hurt someone by a dog.

My lady, you are right.

Why am I so silly?

Snow Ball is just a beginning.

My lady,

you just need to wait and watch the show.

Lady Yu

The queen thinks

you might out of the pearl powder, so she asks me to bring some for you.

Ying Luo,

you are here.

Thank you for these days.

My lady was frighten by the bad dog, keep doing nightmare,

needs to take pill before going bed.

But the doctor said it's bad for baby,

shouldn't take too much.

Fortunately the queen still taking care of Lady Yu, keep sending pearl powder,

otherwise, Lady Yu may getting worse.

Fang Cao, what happen to your hands?

I was making pearl ball for Lady Yu,

touch the pearl powder. I'll go clean up.

You say that again.

Ying Luo, what happen?

I said, you say that again.

My lady

Ying Luo What happen?

My lady, you see

Pearl powder should be white

The powder in Fang Cao's nail is yellow

This is not pearl powder's color.

Fang Cao

What did you put into my pearl ball?

I don't know what happen.

These powder are send by the queen.

So you are here and waiting.

Lady Yu,

this is what the queen ask me to sent to you.

You can check if there's any color difference between these two.

You see

these pearl balls are white

The powder in it

shining under the sun light

this is not the pearl powder

I am not a doctor, I don't know what it is.

shining under the light

definitely not pearl powder

is shell powder.

Fang Cao

Why do you fake it? Change the pearl powder that from the queen.

I am guilty.

My mother is sick,

and doesn't have money to see the doctor.

I don't know what to do.

I know that shell powder is cheap

pearl powder is expensive

so secretly change the pearl powder into shell powder, to earn the money.

Please, my lady,

i'm always doing my best to serve you,

please forgive me.

Fang Cao

You serve me so many years.

If you tell me your mom is sick, I won't leave you alone.

I'm silly, my lady,

I won't do it again.

How dare you can do this

You make me so disappointed.

Please forgive me this time, my lady.

I'll pay you back for the rest of my life.

Fang Cao serves me so many years,

she doesn't do this purposely.

Just let it go.

My lady, you shouldn't trust her easily.

Using cheap shell powder

to exchange pearl powder

it looks like steal

The shell powder is yellow

The appearance of the shell ball should be yellow

But those shell balls that made by Fang Cao, the appearance are white.

Only shining inside.

You wouldn't know if you don't check it.

What did you actually put into it?

No! I didn't!!

Let's talk to the queen to see whether you do it or not.

Betrayer

How dare you keep lying.

Make more mistakes.

Let's see what would the queen punish you after knowing what you did

No! No!

I told you! I told you everything!

My lady

Lady Jia asks me to do this.

What did you say?

Lady Jia?

Yes

After Lady Yi die,

we only have you in the Yong-He Palace.

But you don't go out

always frightening

Lady Jia told me, even you have a son,

won't be valued by emperor.

The Yong-He Palace

will be a ice house.

So

even you betray me

people want to make life better

Lady Jia promises me after this,

she will let me to Chu-Xiu Palace.

No wonder,

last time Lady Yu wanted to let you go,

you obey the order.

No wonder the day in the garden, you are the closest one,

but you fake as you afraid of the dog.

From the beginning,

you already betray

My lady,

I don't have any choice

Lady Jia relies on Lady Nobel, no one could against them.

What did you put into the shell powder?

To change the color,

need to dye it

Lady Yu is pregnant, the ingredient is poisonous

How could she has the healthy baby if she take this for a long time?

You are so mean.

Fang Cao

How dare you are

Don't you afraid the truth will out!

Even the truth is out

They still have two back plains.

They could say those Imperial Palace servants chang the powder,

and receive the benefit from it.

Or they could say these pearl powder is from the queen,

let the queen take the responsibility.

After all, the queen invited Lady Yu to the garden last time.

After frighten by Snow Ball,

you started take the pearl powder.

How could they know

the queen would sent me pearl powder?

Not only pearl powder,

but also Renshen

and the pill

As long as Fang Cao is here,

they always have chance to do it.

I'll go tell the queen, let her punishes Lady Jia immediately.

My lady, wait!

Fang Cao

Is there any witness when Lady Jia gave you these stuffs?

No

If you go tell the queen without evidence

You can not punish Lady Jia

but bring yourself lots of troubles.

Then what should we do now?

Incase Lady Jia do something bad again,

we need to keep this betrayer.

In order to let Lady Jia believes that you still taking toxic shell powder.

You mean

After half a month,

you tell Lady Jia

we run out of the shell powder,

let her gives us the new one.

understand?

Are you blind?

Watch the road! Are you ok? Yeah I'm fine.

This guy

wait

What do you want?

Isn't this Chun Wang?

Used to follow manager Zhao, that was so honorable.

And look how he is so miserable now.

Cleaning the poop barrels.

You don't know yet

He secretly brought stuffs out of palace

received 100 lashes

Now become the cleaning army

Look how so poor he is

No wonder manager Zhao likes him

Even we see him, we can't help to touch him

Leave me alone!

You buster

Can't even do this little work

Hurry up! Clean these mess

Why should I have to?

You lick all these dirty stuffs and clean it up

You leave me alone

If you don't lick it, i'll report to the manager

Tell him that you make the hall way dirty purposely and should take your life.

Don't just watch! Go!

Kick him till he die.

Enough

Don't make him dead.

Let's go

You little one, don't picky

You have the best jerky

with sesame oil

We don't even have this

Go away

Whose there?

Which buster won't even let go of the dog food?

Steady! Steady!

What are they doing?

What's in the bucket?

I don't know.

What is this?

Even has the red fabric cover it.

Easy! Easy!!

Lower

Easy! Easy!!

To the emperor and the queen, wish you all the blessing

To the emperor and the queen,

the tributes are arrived.

Your Majesty,

this is?

Open it yes

O-P-E-N

Lychee!

Why would have lychee tree in this season?

This is March Red

The earliest ripe type of lychee

Mountains look like piles of fabric from Zhang-An

Hundreds of door in the palace opening on the top of the mountain The consort is smiling when seeing the dust flying by the rider

No one know it's because lychee is coming.

* From 杜牧 《過華清宫絕句三首》*

Your Majesty

people used to riding fast to deliver lychee in the past.

Nowadays,

the lychee trees

There are thousands mile between Fu-Jian and the palace

If riding,

those litchi won't have great flavor in the palace.

That won't be fun.

So I ask them as soon as the litchi tree has litchi,

put the root and the dust into the barrel

Deliver by boat,

only take a month to the palace

the fruit is ripe with great flavor.

This time,

Fu-Jian governor provide a hundred barrels,

Except for rewarding to the government officials,

I ask the servant to pick some best litchi trees to Zhang-Chun Palace.

Thank you.

Your Majesty,

I want to arrange a tea party

the litchi is coming to the right time.

I'm glad you like it.

Her Majesty, the litchi trees are so precious

please give them to me

Ying Luo

Ying Luo

Her Majesty,

The litchi is very precious, help me to take care of it.

My lady, I'm a reckless person

I'm afraid that I can't take good care of it

Except for Er Qing, you have my trust in this palace.

Er Qing needs to take care of me, doesn't have free time.

You help me to take care of these trees.

Don't be lazy.

Your Majesty,

when is best timing for this litchi party?

Whenever you want to have it, that's the great time

Lee Yu

Memorize everything that the queen needs, asks imperial palace sent it ASAP

Yes

Er Qing

You see,

she pleased the queen's so fast,

what did she do? Ming Yu

How long has she been in the Zhang-Chun palace?

Ok Ok

Whatever the queen asks us to do, we need to finish the work.

There are lots of things that we couldn't question.

Manager Wu,

how many litchis in these trees?

For the convenience,

we use the smallest type of litchi.

We have 100 barrels this time, there are 895 litchis in Fu-Jian's record,

Couldn't count how many litchi fall down all the way.

Actually, we couldn't quite sure the number.

I just count it.

There are three barrels, approximately 48 litchis.

Yes

Could you please check the number, we could transition the work.

Although you are young, you are thoughtful when doing work.

Don't laugh at me, manager Wu.

Litchi all the way to the palace

it's way too precious.

Ensure the number of it

incase something goes wrong in the future

makes lots of troubles.

Why are you guys just standing?

Hurry up! Make sure how many litchi we have now. Yes

You see

While you are complaining,

she already finished the job.

Now you know why the queen doesn't let you do the work, right?

You sure?

Yes

Fang Cao said Lady Yu keeps having nightmare

and always has stomachache ,

therefore, she takes pearl balls for a long time.

She changes it secretly, and nobody notice it.

Snow Ball just barks for twice,

Lady Yu scared to death.

So useless.

First, Lady Yi died,

herself almost died as well.

And frighten by the Snow Ball, of course she scared to death.

Maybe,

she couldn't even take a walk at the garden.

What else did she say?

Fang Cao said,

the shell powder already ran out, need to have new one.

I promise her, after reporting to the Lady,

I'll sent new one to her.

You go. Be careful.

Yes.

Wait.

Any command, my lady?

You just said that Lady Yu's stomachache is obvious?

Report said she has terrible stomachache.

Doctor Chang takes a look at her,

and take the medicine, but didn't find anything unusual.

So consider she was frightening too much,

and she took much more pearl balls.

The symptom is so obvious?

This is what Fang Cao reported.

If you don't have any command, my lady,

I'll go sent new shell powder.

Hold on a second,

you tell her,

making shell powder needs time,

we need two days to prepare,

we'll meet her up at

the litchi party.

But we still have shell powder Do as I say

Yes

What happen?

Ying Luo

Why don't we take them off now?

Clean them up to the litchi party.

The queen asks that the litchis is going to take them off at tomorrow's party.

To ensure the freshness.

I'd also like to taste the flavor of the litchi.

However, all these litchis have already assigned to every consort.

This is Fu-Jian's tribute,

it is definitely precious.

If you really want to taste it,

after we leave the palace,

we take boat to Fu-Jian in person,

we could have countless litchis as we want,

that would be better.

How dare you have the thought.

You should go to finish other work,

I'll check this again.

Ying Luo

Ying Luo, you said if I can make thing right, you will forgive me. Are you serious?

Of course I am.

Lady Jia says she will sent the servant give me the shell's powder tomorrow.

You only reported that Lady Yu is taking pearl powder

and didn't tell other story, right?

Did you exaggerate?

Exaggerate?

No, I didn't.

You only thing about atonement,

be careful that something may goes wrong.

Don't worry. This wouldn't go wrong.

But you need to keep your promise.

I know.

I'll report to the queen.

Let's catch the rat in a hole.

Betrayer.

Don't you remember when you have trouble, how the Lady helps you?

Never mind.

My lady, what never mind.

When Lady Ying was poor,

you save half of your salary to her

even having meal, you would give her something

Now, you just want her to help you how could it be so hard?

Zheng, it's ok.

Lady Chun,

what is this?

You try to borrow money from everyone.

But those who have received your kindness,

they are from lower level,

even if they want to help, they can't do it.

While other consorts,

they envy you have the high reputation and are respected,

they'll never help you.

You already tried this for three days, and were refused for three days, you should know that.

Therefore, I bring the money in person.

My lady, now you don't need to worry about the money.

Lady Chun,

this money,

what's the actual meaning in here?

You don't need to worry, I'm different from Lady Nobel,

I won't let you do whatever you don't want to do.

However, the moment when I received the money,

I won't be able to have my own side,

I'll have to stand on the queen side.

The queen is smart and tolerance,

kind and gentle,

why can't you stand on her side?

When people in the center of the fight,

you will involve in deeper and deeper,

it is going to be hard to tell things right or wrong,

and the bottom line will get lower and lower.

In the end, even if not your choice, you'll still hurt someone.

Thus, I took a vow on the first day in the palace,

I won't involve in any fight,

I'll just stay and protect my palace, let the days peace and quite.

If I promise you,

it means I'm going to betray myself.

But you need money, don't you?

Yes

My brother is in the jail now, and he's waiting for me to save his life.

Sister, we came to palace together, accompany each other for so many years.

I'm just borrowing from you,

I'll pay you double in the future.

No.

I'll pay you three times. Can I?

Sister

I'm not lending you money,

I'm letting you owe me a favor.

If you insist not to receive it,

then I'll have to say sorry.

My lady, we can't wait.

If you keep hesitating, your brother will die.

No

I can't have it.

My lady!

Yu Hu

Let's go.

Lady Chun

Lady Chun

My lady, now what we suppose to do?

Lady Xian is such a piece of wood, she just can't understand.

Let's head to Zhang-Chun palace.

Why do you need to go to Zhang-Chun palace at this moment?

Just go.

Her Majesty, wish you all the blessing

Raise

Please take a seat.

There are some litchi from Fu-Jian

We shall share and taste at today's party.

The emperor so adore the queen.

I didn't see any of them in my place,

but he even sent you the litchi tree.

This is not the first time that the emperor adore the queen.

Are you still not get used to it, Lady Nobel Guo?

Where's the litchi?

Don't rush, Lady Nobel.

Litichi makes your body hot,

we should have some chrysanthemum tea first.

Please make yourself at home.

Sister Na Lan

Are these litchis really so precious?

Of course

Far from mountains and rivers

sent them all away from Fu-Jian

I hear these trees due to the acclimatize, lots of the litchis fall down.

And the rest should have to share with

all consorts, royal members, and politicians

If you can have one, you are lucky enough.

How dare you exchange Lady Yu's pearl powder!

This could be charged killing emperor's baby.

What did you say?

You are Lady Jia's servant

you get caught

she can't survive either.

Until now, what could you say.

I'm sorry, Sister Shuang

I told them everything.

So you guys thought that Lady Jia asked me

to change Lady Yu's pearl powder? Don't you?

This is what Lady Jia

made for emperor's baby in person.

Only herbs in it.

It's impossible!

How could it be? Lady Jia is so alert.

Already prepare for this. Wei Ying Luo

You have no evidence, don't make any judgment.

If you often walk in the dark road, you'll have chance to bump into the ghost.

Even you escape this time, what about next?

You!

Wei Ying Luo

Stop! Make it clear. What am I suppose to say?

You try to catch me with no evidence, don't you need an explanation?

Do I hit you?

Or do I tie you?

You didn't hurt me by hand, but you still slander me.

You need to apologize to me. Moreover,

you need to admit your fault to Lady Jia.

Why you keep stoping me?

I'm trying to reason to you. Lady Jia asked you to seduce me away

and you don't let me go.

What do you guys really want to do?

What seduce you away. It's you that following in me first.

You accuse me with no reason.

Wei Ying Luo

Wei Ying Luo, you are a coward, don't even dare to argue with me.

Wei Ying Luo

Such a fence-sitter

I'll go ask your fault later.

Lady Jia found something went wrong

but she still asked Fang Cao come to meet up. Why?

Unless

Don't run away.

Everything all settle down, my lady

I'll never need to see that bitch again, right?

You have my word.

You'll never need to worry about her.
