Since the beginning of time, the Chinese
have held in high regard three statues

of prosperity, Fu, Lu, and Su.

And to preserve the honors due these
gods, their images were cast into the

finest of stone.

Through war and ease, through centuries
and dynasties, the statues remained

secret for all of those years.

Until the early 1960s, when a wealthy
art collector named Rosenberg acquired

three magnificent idols.

Rosenberg was not like other art
collectors.

Eccentric as he was, he decided one day
to give all the statues away.

He held a great contest for the great
fighters.

From around the world, the great men
came.

Warriors, mercenaries, and some who just
thought they were tough.

to fight for the three magnificent gods
of the Chinese.

As Rosenberg watched the fight, the
battle went for many days.

Many men were defeated, and some lost
their lives.

And in the end of all the battle, only
three fighters remained to take the

statues.

The first champion was Armstrong, from
Australia.

Samson Armstrong would later move to
California. The second fighter was the

legendary Korean champion, Kim.

Kim would take his statue and give it to
his son, Ryan, who would also move to

California.

To carry on his father's legend, he
would study karate from the third

of the statue, Sakagawa, Kim's longtime
friend.

And Rosenberg died shortly after, never
knowing the legacy of Fulusu.
