murder, that weapon was first concealed
by the defendants and then retrieved by

an agent acting for them.

We will show that both defendants...

evaded arresting officers and were
finally apprehended at the scene of a

murder. And although that crime, Your
Honor, may appear to be entirely

and apart from this case, the state will
prove that there is indeed a pattern

here.

Police officer Harry Marburg was killed
to prevent him from exposing a certain

fraudulent operation that both
defendants were involved in.

And the second murder to which I just
referred was committed for exactly the
