Getting into Solar Blue has been the
biggest thrill of my life.

It's turned out to be everything I'd
ever imagined. The house is great, the

surfing's fabulous, and everyone's
really terrific.

So why am I feeling like the biggest
loser south of the equator?

I mean, look at Bridget, my roommate.

Nothing fazes her. She's so well
organised and always in control.

The thing that made me feel most
inadequate, though, was just how great

and Bridget were on their boards.

I thought I could serve, but they were
awesome.

I'd got into Solar Blue, but in no time
flat, I wasn't even in the race.
