at peace, a small band of renegade Indians

were organized by unscrupulous white men.

Pioneers coming west were murdered and their valuables

stolen.

These Indians traded stolen goods for the white

man's whiskey.

And as soon as they drank it, they

wanted more.

♪♪♪ While the real criminals counted their profits

and encouraged the Indians to more massacres, Americans

were dying all along the frontier.

And for no reason save the ruthless greed

of a few white traders.

♪♪♪ And it doesn't seem to make much

difference which way the wagon trains go into

Canyon City.

They've been attacked on all three routes, all

within a 50-mile radius of Canyon City.

Well, what have the survivors said about the

attacking Indians?

I mean, do they know what tribe they're

from?

No, they haven't been in war paint.

But every one of the few survivors has

reported that there were white men in every

raiding band.
